$40 a Day: Best Eats in Town Reviews
When I travel to a new city, I like to eat at places that are unique to that geographic area whenever possible. Nothing against the big chains restaurants, but if I want to eat at a McCormick and Schmick's/Cheesecake Factory/Chipotle, I can always go to those places when I am at home in Chicago. Rachael Ray's book is a handy starting point for finding some of the hidden gems in each city. As an added bonus, this book includes recipies from some of the restaurants mentioned. Yum!
lady, you know it's not okay to tip 15% before taxes (especially when service is good). why not encourage your readers to dine out both inexpensively and respectfully? if one can't afford an appropriate tip, one can't really afford to dine/drink at that establishment. i'm glad that you're making money from a book which recommends a practice that lessons others' wages. i hope you also warn your readers to expect a lower caliber of service on their second visit.
This book was just a pure indulgence for me! I just read the entire book. It's filled with colorful pictures and unique meals from around the country. But I never actually made any of these meals. I do better with her easy 30 minute meals. These meals seamed too difficult but it's still fun to read. It gives an interesting history of each restaurant.
Besides Rachael Ray's insights on great places to eat around the country, this book has wonderful color photography, interesting facts on the cities, and recipes. A good book to read for fun or fact.
Love Rachael Ray and $40 A Day. She is adorable, and the pictures make eating around the world look awesome. Going to hit up the places nearby.
i liked this show waaaay more than the new rachel ray travel show, but alas, it's not on anymore. this is an ok book, but it seems to have an inordinate number of fish recipes....
Entertaining behind-the-scenes stories of Rachael's travels around the world for her Food Network show. Includes recipes.
