Having read lots of Kay Jaybee‘s work, including Quick Kink 1 and The Collector, I was interested to see how her fab short story writing skills would translate to a longer piece. The answer? Fabulously. The Perfect Submissive is set in an upmarket hotel. Four of the floors are full of ordinary rooms and ordinary customers. But the fifth floor is a different story all together. For on this floor of the Fables Hotel, five specially adapted rooms wait; ready to cater for the kinky requirements of its guests. The tale follows the story of Jess Sanders, a new booking clerk at the hotel. When she catches the eye of Laura Peters, one of the managers of Fables, her life is destined to change forever. Jess’ meek attitude is the perfect addition to Mrs Peters’ specialist staff on the fifth floor. All it will take is a little education. We follow Jess’ journey as she goes from unsuspecting clerk to the perfect submissive. And it’s a hell of a trip. She’s put through various trials so Mrs Peters can work out whether she is worthy of being promoted to the fifth floor permanently. If she makes it, she’ll be expected to cater to the exclusive clientelle that pay good money to make use of those mysterious rooms. But is it what she wants? Only one way to find out…If you’ve read some of Kay’s work before, you’ll probably be expecting a great deal of kink, so you are pre-armed. But The Perfect Submissive is more than a little spanking here and there; it’s definitely not for the faint of heart. If you like your BDSM dark and full of tension, then this is the book for you.Overall, a fab read. Absorbing from beginning to end with lots of delicious twists and turns, it left me wondering when the sequel is coming out!

After reading Kay Jaybee's brilliant novel Making Him Wait, I dived head long into some of her shorter smut.I worried that after the sheer brilliance of her novel there might not be enough time within the shorter books for her characters to slowly simmer and gently stew before she turned up the heat. HOWEVER, I should not have concerned myself as this book was so HOT it could have spontaneously combusted! The novella brilliantly tells the tale of the Fables Hotel through the minds and story of the main characters, Jess, Mrs Laura Peters and Sam. The Fables is no ordinary hotel, Mrs Peters no ordinary hotelier and Jess, as it happens is not ordinary employee.Mrs Peters, a masterful Dominant introduces Jess to the top floor of the hotel comprising of a series of five rooms each offering a unique BDSM experience including the mysterious Room 54 ~ each with their own dark secrets once the door closes behind the occupants.Jess undergoes the rigors of her training under the watchful eye of the hotel Mistresses, molding the new employee into a perfect submissive to join the top floor. Kay Jaybee paints a perverse and glorious picture of the girl's journey into BDSM through spanking, humiliation and a perfectly submissive exercise regime!Sam Wheeler, a hotel guest, does not escape Mrs Peters' attention. Setting out to seduce the unwitting, although not unwilling Sam, Mrs Peters works her magic casting her net and drawing in her newest conquest, whilst weaving a wicked twist to the experience of the young trainee submissive as the novella reaches its explosive climax. If you like your erotica overflowing with kink, fetish with dark and satisfying sprinkles which leave you squirming in your seat then you won’t be disappointed!

The Perfect Submissive by Kay Jaybee NOTE: This review will most likely contain spoilers in some readers opinions. Please be aware of that as you continue to read. The Perfect Submissive is the very first book I have ever begun to read and had to put down and say, “No, I cannot and will not read this.” This book just has it all wrong in my opinion of the BDSM lifestyle. That very world in which I live in with my Dominant. My Master. My Husband. In our world, Dominants are not abusive. They do not take pleasure in bringing a person to their knees in a cowered position. A Dominant in our world takes care of the most precious thing in their life. Their submissive. In The Perfect Submissive, I only made it through part of Chapter 4. I had to stop after the Domme had cut off the submissive’s t-shirt. Not her submissive, in the sense as I know one being a submissive, but simply a woman she felt was submissive. That was the third thing that had me cringing. The second time had been when she had a man named Sam who was an artist on his knees and she felt so in control and pleased with herself that her fake bout of anger had him cowered already. The first incident had unsettled me, but I kept reading, which is when Mrs. Laura Peterson had told her clerk to not masturbate as she’d know if she had or not. This is after she had taken her clerk, Jess to the 5th floor, which contained the “sex rooms” and had made her watch a scene between a Domme and her submissive man.The reason that first one unsettled me, is that for the last 2 years I have been in a Dominant/submissive (D/s) relationship. From all I have learned from talking with other Dominants online, and submissive’s, one does not just assume that any submissive is theirs for the taking. Only the ones that they have negotioated with. Come to an agreement with. One does not just pick a submissive and begin to treat them as theirs without giving them rules. This is done AFTER negotations and rules have been made clear. NOT before. Not in a Safe, Sane, Consensual relationship. Not with a Dominant who is worth anything. In the BDSM , Safe, Sane and Consensual is almost a mantra. It’s what all good Dominants want. It’s what all smart submissive’s want. At the different BDSM forums where I have membership, it’s common to hear both Dominants and submissives speak with pure disdain for any Dom/me such as the one in this story. The submissive has not had a chance to know what she is getting into. She’s being forced into in my opinion. The last thing that really did it for me, is the very reason I put the book down and will not be picking it up again. Nor will I be reading any more of Kay Jaybee’s books. The of BDSM she shows is not the one I know. It’s not the one that is covered by the Safe, Sane Consensual rules. Okay, I know. What happened, angel?! In Chapter 4, after taking her clerk, Jess Sanders to the elusive 5th floor where only those guided by Mrs. Peterson or one of her private staff members is allowed; Laura Peterson orders Jess to sit in a small school room type chair, in a private room that looks very much like a modern school room. Then she steps into a closet from which she appears again shortly dressed as a school marm. Fake little glasses and all. Carrying a long, thin hooked school cane. She cuts Jess’ t-shirt off, gags her with it, and then struck her on the breasts with the cane. This is where I stopped reading. In my opinion, it had already gone too far when she cut the t-shirt off of Jess, but when she struck her with the cane, it became definite abuse to me. Jess was not her submissive. Laura had never spoken to her about engaging in role-play. Therefore, to me, this was pure abuse. It’s sad that so many writers who write about BDSM and Dominant/submissive relationships seem to think that it’s all about the Dominant being scary, in control and the submissive being a timid, cowering doormat. This is not the BDSM lifestyle I know. In the relationship I am in, my Dominant is stern, but loving. Fiercly possessive, but gentle. I am both submissive and independent. My Sir loves this about me. He doesn’t want a simpering doormat. No good Dominant would. This is the type of D/s relationship I know. Not the one that Ms. Jaybee and so many others write about.Read this book at your risk.

The Perfect Submissive by Kay JaybeeWow I want to work at Fables Country Hotel!!Mrs. Laura Peters was on the look out for a new assistant or two for the fifth floor.Sam Wheeler notices Laura sitting at the bar and comes up with all kinds of erotic images of the two of them but little did he know that Laura was thinking the same things. The next day Laura puts Sam thru a M/S tryst and once he leaves he can’t stop thinking about her and she him.Jess Sanders is the new administration assistant trying to learn the ropes. What she finds out is that the fifth floor provides discreet adult entertainment and relaxation services. Once the boss explains some of the themes of the rooms she becomes aroused and Mrs. Peters notices. Mrs. Peters then decides she would make a perfect submissive.Mrs. Peters decides to take Jess up to the fifth floor for an appointment to see how she will react to the activities and she was right it turned her on.All thru out the book Mrs. Peters is testing Jess to see if she will become the perfect sub and in the meantime she is also trying to get Sam on board as a Master/sub.There are a lot of great naughty scenes in this book.Jess had only read about BSDM in books and has never been put in any situations where it actually happened. Jess rose to the occasion and took it like a champ. Thanks Kay Jaybee for a good book!I received this book as a review copy in return for an honest review

A fantasy come true is when personal and work life merge into a sexual odyssey. Fables Hotel is one hotel a guest may never want to check out of, especially if one stays on the fifth floor. Young Jess is working at the front desk of the hotel. She assists with appointments and welcoming guests. Little does she know she's caught the eye of Dominatrix Mrs. Peters. Mrs. Peters runs the erotic entertainment part of the hotel. Looking for a good submissive, she test Jess. With a Ms. Jaybee story, I always know I'm going to receive three things. One, the female dominant is into mind games. Two, the submissive in the story won't know if they are coming or going. Three, the sex will be smoking hawt! From an erotic standpoint, this story is completely a 5 star. Jess is tied, teased, tortured and tested. Every single scene is tantalizingly erotic. There are different combinations and delicious sexual fetishes. When the medical scene appeared, I nearly wet myself with a gush from my pussy. The rope bondage scene is incredibly vivid and sexy. There are a few things with this story which made it not so smooth a read. Specifically the emphasis on Jess being a perfect submissive yet forcing her into dominant situations. What they are really looking for is a switch. Is this being nitpicky? Perhaps. However, when an author is going against the usual understanding of a term, it does cause a reader to pull out of the story and wonder what is going on. In addition, "Master Philips" spent more time as a submissive than a dominant so it was equally odd to have him addressed as "Master". Another oddity with the BDSM is how often Ms. Jaybee puts Jess in a position of not only failure but breaking her trust. These mind games while fun to read, in real life can completely break a relationship. Don't get me wrong, there are mind games in BDSM, they are just carefully negotiated up front so that all parties are on board. Jess is constantly in the dark which makes this story slightly dub-con but more so from a theoretical consent than physical consent. Jess eagerly submits to every lick, probe and smack. The characters are straightforward. There is little development and honestly, it isn't about the world building or the character development. It's all about the erotic journey. Overall, this story is erotically fantastic. This story is highly recommended to those who love a good mind fuck.*I received this book as a review copy in return for an honest review

The Perfect Submissive by Kay Jaybee is a tale about a young woman, Jess Sanders, who is hired as a booking clerk for the Fable Hotel. It is a hotel like most others except for the top 5th floor, which is run by Laura Peters. This floor has special suites frequently reserved by guests looking for their unique needs to be met by the hotel’s well trained staff. Miss Peters asks Jess to to assist with meeting those needs. She is drawn into a world she did not seek and yet cannot resist. Ultimately, Jess wants nothing more than to continue working at the Fable Hotel and does whatever it takes to ensure it happens. The Perfect Submissive is filled with interesting and provocative characters. They are all strong, yet some yearn to be submissive and dominated. Still, other characters do not think they want to be dominated, but are unable to refuse. This book is an exciting story that explores the different suites of the Fable Hotel’s top floor and allows the reader to witness the characters’ activities within them. Their erotic activities pulls the reader in the same way they pulled Jess Sanders in. I wanted to know what happened behind all the doors of the 5th floor, and while I was always surprised by what I found, I was never disappointed. I received this book as a review copy in return for an honest review.

Spoiler Ahead This was a really good book it was also hot and kinky. When Mrs. Peters, the mistress of the hotel's exclusive entertainment facility, meets the new booking clerk, Jess Sanders she sees the meek young girl as the perfect submissive. I would have loved to visit this hotel it was some kinky stuff going on behind the closed doors of the hotel. Jess was through a whole lot of things and they had hidden cameras to see it all. Mrs. Peters was into a lot of mind games the subs didn't know what was coming next. The scenes in this book were hot and the medical was something else I mean hot. This was my first time reading this author and I have had this book for awhile and I am not sure why it took me so long to read this book. While I would have liked more story in this book and the switching of roles was a little odd to me like Master Philips other than that this was a good book it was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Well if I learned anything after that book, is that I am not into F/F and I like reading about peen. Overall it was a pretty good book and I liked the concept. A woman with her inner submissive just waiting to be let loose. It's a good premise. I guess what I didn't like was that, while it's set in modern times, it's written like it's a Victorian novel. It probably would have been better had it been set in that time and because then there wouldn't have to be so much pretense. There was only one character that I really liked throughout the entire story and he wasn't even a major character. I kept hoping that he would just be more present, but it wasn't the case so that was disappointing. Now, while I just didn't care overall about the story, the way that the scenes are played out was pretty good. That alone would tempt me to read another Kay Jaybee book, but only if there are penises involved. Like, all the time.

I was really looking forward to reading another of Kay Jaybee's books after reading some of her naughty short stories. This is her latest full length novel so I knew I was in for a brilliant steamy read and being a born submissive I was also looking forward to reading this.Jess thought she had got herself a normal clerk job at an exclusive hotel little did she know how wrong she was. Her boss Mrs Peters and the sexy Miss Sarah strict full time dommes run the 5th floor the sexy secret addition to this hotel; each of the five rooms are all designed for influential clients and their sexual needs.Mrs Peters immediately sees something special in Jess and plans a series of sexual trials to see if she is suitable to be the latest new employee of the 5th Floor. We follow Jess on her training regime for a job she knows nothing about; would she even want this new future career? But either way Jess's life is going to change forever as she discovers her new Clerk job isn't what it seems.Between Mrs Peters and Miss Sarah they don't miss a moment to help test Jess's skills each trial bringing her to new levels and sexual experiences beyond her imagination. Jess learns that its not all about sex its about taking the mind to new levels. Each test carefully watched and assessed by the intimidating Mrs Peters (One scary lady) to see how she copes and how much she can endure...and...or...enjoy.I found Jess completely relatable she could be any one of us or even you, I felt Jess's confusion, fear and annoyance at not quite believing what is going on around her, but turned on enough to stay and not run out the door. We feel her shock to her own sexual needs that she seems to be now craving thanks to the trials. Its a fast paced read and I loved that its so different as Kay maintains a wonderful level of sexual tension throughout the whole book keeping you on your seat to what is going to happen next. These trials are not for the vanilla readers out there as its full on BDSM, spanking, humiliation, flogging, girl on girl and group sex. We gradually get to see inside each of the 5 specialised rooms and I loved that Kay left room 5 till the very end; leading to the exciting super sexy climax that I certainly wont be giving away; you have to read this to see and no you wont guess what's behind door 54 but I want that room lol.I have read a few of Kay's short stories and enjoyed those too but this full length novel has to be my favourite so far, I was disappointed it was over and wanted more. So if you like your sex with more imaginative kink this is the book for you.

The Perfect Submissive, written by naughty mastermind Kay Jaybee, tells the story of Jess Sanders, a meek office clerk, who gets an innocent job at the Fables Hotel. She soon learns that Laura Peters, the owner of the hotel, is actually an unforgiving dominatrix. The fifth floor of the establishment caters to rich and influential clients looking to have all of their BDSM fantasies come true. Each of the five rooms on the fifth floor offers a unique BDSM “scene” including a hospital room, a school room, and a dungeon. Jaybee sets up intrigue by making the fifth room a super secret experience that she only reveals at the end, “Room 54 is more unusual, and the contents of the room will remain a secret until the guest steps foot inside.” (p.9)If you like to read ultra-kinky, smart erotica, then this book’s for you. Until now I’ve only read Kay Jaybee in the form of short stories (lots and lots of short stories). Each one is a singular, kinky traverse into sexual fantasy. Multiply one of her short stories by eighteen chapters and you’ve got yourself an epic sex adventure! Jaybee is a master of the craft of erotica and makes some fun inside commentary on the genre. During a scene in a Victorian Study, Jaybee narrowly avoids cliche when she writes, “Jess had read enough erotica to know how these scenarios went. It was almost text book. She wondered if she should have been disappointed, but the hardening of her nipples told her otherwise.” (p.15)Depraved, perverse and highly imaginative, Kay Jaybee will shock you with her provocative storyline, which includes bondage, submission, lesbian and group sex scenes. It even includes a little romance as Mrs. Peters tries to woo her not-so-submissive conquest, artist Sam Wheeler. “‘Do you see these buttons, Sam?’ She ran a manicured finger down her dress, and he nodded fervently. ‘I will undo one each time I decide you deserve it. Yes?’” (p. 27)Seducing Sam isn’t her only concern. Mrs. Peters puts Jess Sanders through exceedingly wicked and imaginative trials and tribulations to guarantee that she’ll be the perfect submissive, causing the humble office clerk to experience a sexual awakening like no other. Jess endures exhausting naked exercise routines, blow job competitions, humiliating exhibitionism, painful bondage and spanking sessions, and the ultimate test of endurance in room 54; all to find out if she has what it takes to work on the fifth floor.

I received this book in exchange for a fair review.Every time I read a Kay Jaybee book I find myself drawn in. Some books are a little bit 24/7 for my liking but I still find myself engrossed and enthusiasically enjoying it. Even when there is an act I don't like happening I enjoy it. It's a weird thing that happens to me when I read her books, but it's a thing I love about reading her books. They challenge my perceptions of what I enjoy, they make me empathise with the act or characters as appropriate, they have me questioning myself and my limits and my very beliefs and I adore that. Her stories are usually a roller coaster of plot and sex delicately balancing each waiting their turn to be the focus whilst the other supports them in a perfectly synchronised ballet of writing.I won't give much away except to say the end had a slight twist in it and it made my heart leap for joy.Jess seems like such a sweet girl and I found myself wishing I was Mrs. Peters and I was running The Fables. I was glad I had the next in the trilogy to hand as it meant I could go seemlessly from this one to the next. The only reason why I gave this a 4 rather than 5 was because it got even better, for me, in book 2.

Oo-la-la, this book is hot, hot, hot. Imagine a hotel that caters to business men and women, travelers, no kids allowed (I have kids but this sounds nice), and on the 5th floor, that most people think holds storerooms and staff living quarters… they have five very special rooms for special guests. These rooms include a dungeon, schoolroom, Victorian drawing room, a hospital exam room, and a very special room where the visitors do not know what it contains until they get there. And then there is the staff… the manageress, a dominatrix; the other female staff member currently working, also a dominatrix; a sometimes male staff member who is both submissive and dominate but mostly submissive; and a vacancy. The male staff member is also the hotel barman and all around go to guy. The new reservations girl is just the submissive that Laura has been looking for, if she can convince Jess that she is right for the position. Keep a cool drink handy while you are reading, and perhaps a fan, because this book will bring the heat. Definitely for adults only, just like the hotel. I give this book a 4 out of 5 clouds, and a chili pepper rating of 8 out of 10.This product or book may have been distributed for review; this in no way affects my opinions or reviews.

I have several of Ms. Jaybee's books on my Kindle. This was the first book that I have read by this author, so I didn't actually know what to honestly expect. I know that with most BDSM books there's a ton of mind games and the submissives can get overwhelmed fast. Jess takes everything in stride. To me it felt like Jess was trying figure her life out. I found myself actually wanting to be Jess. I love when I can connect with the character I'm reading about. The spankings in this work of fantasy were erotic enough that I was wishing I was the character getting the spankings. I got so into this book that it was hard to put the book down. Once you get started you won't want to put the book down until you actually finish the book. When I finished this book I actually went and bought several more books of Ms. Jaybee. Can't wait to dive into more of her books. My only warning is that this book can not be responsible for your panties burning up while reading it.

Wow, this is one hell of a book. If BDSM is what you're looking for then this is definitely the book for you. I instantly connected with Jess as she enters into a new job and as it transpires new lifestyle. I travelled with her on her journey of self discovery, feeling her uncertainty and revelations right along with her. The story has some very strong scenes that aren't for the faint hearted but definitely got me hooked. I can't wait to read the next book.

I liked it...while not a romantic bdsm is a fetish story where scenes might be a turn off for some and arousing to others. Everyone has a right to their own Kink and that what happens in this story. i want more of the characters to learn what makes them tick and i also want to see how they grow so i look forward to more....
