Women from coast to coast, from college dorms to corporate boardrooms, found a part of themselves in Marisa Acocella's smart, sassy creation. Fresh from her debut in the pages of Mirabella, SHE is the wayward daughter of suburbia, the defiant schoolgirl, the escapee from the office cubicle, the lost love of various boys du jour, the one who got away from them all. SHE is unique. SHE is everywoman. And her story is familiar to us all. Just Who the Hell Is SHE, Anyway? is not a collection of pieces, but the autobiography of a leggy, two-dimensional character who has risen from a talented artist's sketch pad to conquer the hearts and minds of women and men alike with her wit and candor. SHE is the New Woman - and this is the book that answers the question that the world has asked since Adam first laid eyes on Eve - Just Who the Hell Is SHE, Anyway?...

I absolutely loved this delicious bit of womanly graphic novel. It quickly became my favorite graphic novel (although I am admittedly far from an expert on the genre). I found it relatable, funny, interesting, and it served as a great introduction to the genre for a female reader.

Fun read & illustrations! All of Acocella's (verbal) jumping around should be brushed aside since it can quickly become a bit annoying if you dwell on it for too long. Wish there was more Pucci! Enjoyed all of the fashion trend flashbacks.

I bought this when it was first published, and I consider it a classic. Love it!

One of the few graphic novels targetted at working women (and vastly preferable to Cathy), wickedly funny

Hilarious. I laughed so hard when I first read this around the age of twenty and I still love it fifteen years later.

    A little disjointed.

Some pretty nifty cartooning tricks and personal insights - fragmented and jarring as a narrative though.
