Cute little book written as if the human and the dog are co-authors. It's nothing spectacular and can be read in an hour or so but it made me smile and helped to while away some time waiting in the airport.

This is my kind of dog story! It had me laughing and enjoying the antics of the dog, Jack and his owner, without the stress of worrying about whether or not the dog dies.

So, anyone that knows me, knows that I am a sucker for a dog story. I was all set for a quick, good read. And as the title states, the dog doesn't doe at the end, so I wouldn't end up with red eyes from crying. The good part is, Jack the dog is still alive and well. The bad part is, this was one of the most disappointing reads I have had in a while. There really is no plot. The book is just sort of random thoughts on random subjects from Jack, the dog and his owner,Tall Guy.I'm all about talking dogs. But I would like for there to be a story, which there really wasn't.The pictures were cute though.

This book is exactly what it promises to be. Much of it told from the dog's (Jack's) perspective, it captures the joyfulness that Labradors often have. I recognized a lot of my own dogs' behaviors - and they're not even Labs. The first night I started reading this, I was laughing my head off in bed at well past midnight. If you're a real dog-person, you'll get it. I've already recommended this to friends and will continue to do so. It's just an enjoyable, humorous, quick read - perfect for settling down with after a weary workday to put you in a lighter mood.

As promised by the title, the dog did not die. Having said that let me add that you need a certain kind of sense-of-humor to fully enjoy this short Kindle release. (Guess you'd need to enjoy banter between a dog and a person.) Many people have really enjoyed this story, and, for 2.99 I guess you can't be too upset about it's length.

For me not to rave about a book about a dog is unusual. This one was just a book about a dog(Jack) and his person (The Tall Guy) who decide to write a book, mostly about the dog. A reviewer said: "But don't worry, no dogs die at the end of THIS book! (Unlike some other books about yellow Labs)" And that's true but Braswell needs to do better to hold my attention.

(She looked at all the pictures!) Funny story written from Jack's perspective. Chuckled and laughed and thank goodness, Jack was still alive at the end!Quick read.

It was hilarious! I loved it! The only flaw was that it got a bit slow during the middle ; which is why I deducted a star. I was actually tempted to skip pages.Which is something, I think shouldn't happen when you are reading a book. So four stars for this book.

The book is bad pun after bad pun. A decent book about training and taking care of dogs, but after 10 pages, I was ready to be done. This is not exactly a book for dog lovers who want to read something new.

A cute short story...not really the length of a book. It is really just capsules from the blog. Reading it on my Kindle was not easy due to the huge number of footnotes used, which got very old very fast. True to its title (at least right now).

I also own a loyal but goofy yellow Lab. Great companion. Enjoyed the photos. Don't expect a lot of dialogue. Relieved to learn that mine is not the only one who's most prized toys are those that he finds while out for a walk!

This might have been a better article than a book. Kinda cute, gets old pretty quick.

Random, sort of boring Dog book told from the dogs perspective. I have read better dog books, and more clever. I think it would have been better to turn it into a children's story.

A fun and easy book to read. If you've ever had an animal, you'll chuckle out loud.

Heheh. This book was a silly conversation between a dog and his owner. This books was dumb but I liked it anyway. Not a good book, just a ridiculous one.

I loved this book! I am definitely going to check out his blog. I enjoy reading any books written from the dog's (or cat's) point of view.

I usually like dog books, but this one was kind of ridiculous. Tried to be funny, like a take off of Marley and Me, but tried way too hard.

An interesting concept but, unfortunately it fell a little flat. Not a very exciting or even interesting book
