The violin is a string instrument, usually with four strings tuned in perfect fifths. It is the smallest, highest-pitched member of the violin family of string instruments, which includes the viola and cello. - WikipediaA violin or a fiddle is one of the most popular orchestral instrument, almost of the orchestral musics had violin solos and the most players in an orchestra are violinist. A musician who played a violin is called a violinist or a fiddler, this instrument as well as the piano and others survived from extinction consider the decreasing amount of musicians in the world and as the popularity increase the number of players in different instruments decreases. Sometime, cultural instruments such as Japanese string instrument or the koto is in near extinction as Westernize instruments get into every household. When I was in high school I used to play a violin, I'm a beginner and never enjoyed it as much as playing my piano. What inspired me to play instruments were the anime (Japanese animation) and manga (Japanese graphic novels) with music themes and usually comical. I usually read a lot when I was young, my two most outstanding an most influential manga and anime was La Corda d' Oro - It has 12 episodes and 13 volumes of manga, a story of a girl who found a magical fairy and given her a magical violin. Lastly, Nodame Cantabile, a comical love story between two opposite lovers with mix of inspiring orchestral music as well as instruments in different fields. When Nosy Nina come in a music school with her brother Travis, who can play trumpet. So they went every Saturday and being nosy, Nina went sneaking a beautiful screeching music and she find out that Tanny, a tall girl with two long braids playing violin. She taught she can do it same with Tanny, so she go to school every Saturday with her brother and instructor, Mr. Steele. She discovered music, not only for herself but for the others to enjoy as well as a good weapon to make new friends and coordination. This is more on words than illustrations, it has tips and guide about the violin and a must have for children below 7 years. The book includes pastel-colored photos and complex vowels. It also teaches friendship using music as a weapon. Recommended for everyone who loves to read picture as well as learning.Nodame Cantabile was also adopted as short drama series. Compared to the anime, the drama was more complicated and unrealistic, although most of the parts of the anime were taken. If you still have time, watch Allegro Cantabile - the theme song of the anime.Rating - Nosy Nina by Suzanne Martinucci and Monique Passicot (Illustrator), 5 Sweets and the jolly fiddler. (I recommend this book to those kids who enjoyed playing musical instruments plus this is a great book for inspiring young minds.
