Total rating : 3 "I'm not Gay" StarsI was so confused about Blaise's straightness in the beginning,he also proclaimed that he wasn't gay, then he was given up by his mates' cuteness or whatever I didn't know before. And he turned to be a lusty gay man.Did I miss something ? Why did he change his mind so easily ? Ok,Maybe I should think that the power of his mates' affair influenced him,so I can read this book continually without very much irrationality in my mind. The rest of this book captivated me and I liked it a lot !! Not too much sex scenes but each scene left me speechless. It's hot, sexual and highly consistent.

Read over half and don't know if I'll finish. It is just so boring. The plot is bad, boring, banal. I cannot enjoy it even as an easy read. At least something in a book has to be imaginative - the plot, characters. Neither is in this book. Characters like that can be found in like half books about shifters, the same for plot (just adding a few tweaks to not be a complete copy paste)I knew this books was an easy read and I wanted that at the moment, but I was really disappointed in this book. The beginning was promising before Blaise completely changes, after that just simple copy paste of dozens of other similar books (the same old thing in shifter world). I actually thought there will be emotion (not the whiny kind of emotion). It begins like hundreds others: we meat, you are my mate and damn you ain't a female (I liked that a supposedly straight guy doesn't get gay in a minute and had strong feelings about his sexuality). Then switching teams in like one event/ one paragraph/ etc. Blaise after being so against being mated to two men, just changes his mind and gets all gay... Thats just ridiculous, it should be shown why, how his feelings for mates overcome his straightness...Then we are all happy. Some bad guy comes and we need to protect our mate, we defeat the evil and live happily ever after. Haven't actually read so far, but I am pretty sure I said the plot right. So the plot is the same like hundreds other books. How they don't get law suits for copyrights (probably because they all do the same thing)... The characters are also the same. There has to be at least one/two alpha types and one disguised female in a mans body. I don't get how can an author be so bad at character development, especially the feminine one. I read trans-gender books (male to female) in which character had more balls than supposedly this "male". I like feminine characters as much as I like alphas, but they need to be developed. If I am reading MM book, I don't want a female main character. If I wanted I would read MF. I would like the relationship to be developed. 1/3 of the book denying your mates and then changing your mind isn't developing anything. I guess this is what I miss most. If relationship were well written, other flaws might not be flaws anymore. P.S. I might have been a little too harsh since I am tired of that kind of books (not the easy read, but plain bad)

The book reminded me of Swiss Emmental: very cheesy and full of plot-holes but it's a fun read if you like shifter stories.

I suffered through 57% of the book, made it to chapter 12it is just bad and boring and annoyingly stupid. First I don't get what Blaise whole reason is for being such an ass... he keeps saying its cause he is not gay. Which would be a reason except he gets hard and wants both of his mates and wants sex with them and to kiss and blah blah but then he thinks i'm not gay so he is an ass to them. Since the desire is there i have to think he is gay and don't see why being gay is such a bad thing to him? The elder leaders all know he has two male mates and are happy about it. Most of his friends are gay so they couldn't care less he is gay. The last book a guy blew him and he seemed fine with it. Now this book he is not gay but no reason is given why he thinks being gay is so bad. Then boom all the sudden he is a big fairy happily gay. Why did he change his mind? I hate books like this where they make being gay seem so awful and such an internal struggle but don't give a single fucking reason why being gay is so hard for the character. Seems like it'd be really easy for him too since Willow is pretty much a woman, although that's insulting to thats like the first 30% this annoying internal struggle with Blaise, you'd think with so much of the book being focused on that one reason, besides "i'm not gay" would be given why he is such a bastard. but it's not. Then when he miraculously decides he is gay he tells his mates he hasn't had time for them cause he has been so busy but then he thinks about all the time he has been on the phone with friends and the hours upon hours of watching gay porn! WTF you have no time to even see how your neglected mates are doing but you have time for everything else? Then the sex is just bad and the spanking ridiculous then shy womanly Willow goes from being shy to total slut stripping for the entire werewolf pack and vampire coven. Then his mates drag him away and say no one should see him naked blah blah then willow runs naked back out to where everyone is and instead of wanting to stop people from seeing him naked they now tie him to a chair and take turns beating him while everyone laughs and cheers them on. Not worth finishing at this point for me. Don't care how it ends or what happens the writing is so-so there is no plot, and its just craptastic (that's how Jess described it, I have to agree)

This one was as much fun to read as the other volumes, maybe more. I liked the addition of the bigger picture, of finding out some of what had happened to the characters from the first three books, and, what can I say, I just love these shifter threesomes. The challenge of a mate, Blaise, who thinks he isn't gay, takes a while to see that it's about the person not their equipment and proceeds to fall in love with both Cole and Willow was a good storyline. Add to that the fact that he constantly butts heads with Cole and that both his mates have issues in their past, and Blaise is one very busy and stressed out alpha.Cole also believed he isn't gay, and struggles with the revelation of having two male mates, but he doesn't fight it as much as Blaise does. He's occasionally insecure, but having shared a cell with Willow, he already knows he loves the elf. Adding a physical dimension to their relationship isn't as much of an issue for him as imagining Blaise taking charge in the bedroom.Willow is adorable, sensitive and an elf-shifter hybrid with some very interesting abilities. I hope he will be back in a future book so we can find out more about what actually happened to him. How he survived as a slave for as long as he did is a bit of a riddle, but then, this is fantasy. If you like hot shifters with attitude who fight it out, don't mind characters who don't fit the generally accepted male role model, and like puzzling out conspiracies, you will probably like this book.

typical gabrielle evans serial romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical gabrielle evans? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but... yeah.). out of sheer laziness, i will be using this as my template for all books by :sunny daylynn hagenstormy glennscarlett hyacinthcarol lynnegabrielle evansunless otherwise noted. i'd apologize, but i'm not sorry. i figure it's about as much time as they put into their books. dammit! well, i made it all the way to the end being rather moderate in my assessment. that's a win.

I loved this book most out of all the others in the series. I wanted to kick Blaise in the head a few times, but hey he was in a stressful situation. Cole was a little more level headed although he had his moments too. Willow I just loved from the start. Overall, I was happy with this book and look forward to more.

These men act a little too girly for my taste. Is fun to read, but don't expect too much. It has several plotholes and a continuity problem

3.5 - it lost points for me due to the birthday party scene (out of character and one minute they don't want anyone to see Willow's butt, but then they do what they did,(make up your mind)). And when they saw the vampires the next time, and their over reaction.

Blaise Taylor, newly appointed alpha and hunter for the council, has a lot on his plate. He’s not gay but now he’s been given two male mates. Cole Cunningham didn’t think he was gay either, until he met Willow, one of his two mates. He won’t throw away a mate just because he comes in an unexpected package; mates are far too rare for that. Willow was imprisoned for years, now he just wants to be happy and free. He loves his mates, both of them, and wants them both to love him too. Willow has seduced Cole, the nurturing one, now his mission is to seduce Blaise, the protective one. He doesn’t intend to fail. Failure means losing his mate forever and he’s not going to do that. Softly Spoken Lies the fourth book in the Moonlight Breed series by Gabrielle Evans brings love times three. I love this series; it has alpha wolves and lots of hot man love, my favorite thing to read. This one goes a little deeper and gives us three mates. I like that I get to have three times the loving and that each mate is so unique. I wanted to know more about them. Cole, the nurturer, is always trying to get Blaise to care and love him and Willow. Blaise, the alpha and protector, over-thinks things and ends up thinking his way out of having a mate, let alone two. And then there is mischievously devious Willow. I adore characters that are a little bratty and whole lot of sexy and Willow brings that out in spades. All together, the three mates make a whole package, which is really sweet and loving to read about. While this book is a part of a series, I feel it can be read on its own. I do recommend the entre Moonlight Breed series; they all have surprises for the reader and lots of loving to keep you warm.

Two men for a straight man...Blaise has never had a problem with gay men, he just isn't one of them. But that all changes when he is part of a rescue mission to help his friends. When he see's what has been happening to the different preter's that had been taken by the Alpha of a pack for bio-testing he is enraged, even more so when he sense his mate is one of them. When he realises that his mate is male and not only that but that he has two mates and both are male he doesn't know what to do.Cole had been captured by his father the Alpha of the pack to be used for bio-testing. That was where he found his mate Willow whom had been taken from his coven. A bond had quickly grown between them will locked in there cages next to eachother. When they find out that Blaise is also their mate they are overjoyed. But weeks after being rescued they still haven't gotten any closer to Blaise and they haven't claimed eachother yet. Will they be able to hold out for Blaise or will insecurities get the better of them, and will Blaise actually ever want them the waty they want him?

I really enjoyed Blaise, Cole and Willow together. Unlike most shifter matings, this wasn't insta-love and they had to really work at their relationship before they got to that point because Blaise wasn't gay (Cole wasn't either but he didn't fight it as much). They had such different personalities too. Willow was a great character, so cuddly and sassy at the same time. He knew just how to handle his big alpha mate Blaise. Although unlikely because of how long they were together, I thought it was really sweet that Cole and Willow refrained from sex for the first time until Blaise would be able to join them and complete their mating. Willow's history, Cole's family and the still missing preternaturals who had been experimented on added some great drama and angst to the story. I'm looking forward to reading about Boston and his two mates as well.

As with this entire series, I find myself ending this story with a smile on my face. I love the lighthearted, sweet stories that make up this series. I absolutely adore Willow and his sweet and spicy demeanor, Cole and his hot-headed nature, and Blaise and his confused inexperience. These three create a relationship of many complexities. I love the story and the story arc that leads into the next book. This is a wonderful book and a great series.

I enjoyed this book in the series...possibly not as much as the third book, but I am really enjoying this series. I thought that at times the writing of the characters was a bit uneven in progressing their relationship. I really liked Willow, he was probably my favorite in their relationship and how he wanted to make it work. I'm glad Blaise came to his senses and accepted having men as mates! And I look forward to the next book in this series, I hope there will be more!

Not bad. Clichéd as always but I didn't pick this up expecting a masterpiece so it worked well for me. I just wanted some mindless read for a little fun and entertainment and that's exactly what I got. No more and no less. I could make a list of all the good and bad about this book but this is the 4th instalment and assuming you read the previous ones...well. Copy/Paste. Just add a 3rd shifter and you know all you need to.

I fell mad head over heels for Willow! He provided the cute, the sweet, the funny and the just plain loving piece to this story. Not that Blaise and Cole weren't wonderful, also. They were. Just in a different way than Willow. These three guys together were smexy and fun!
