When I started this book I didn't think I would enjoy it much. The main character seemed very selfish and shallow. But as the book went along I found myself liking Sumi more and more. The fact that she wasn't very like-able at the beginning, I think endeared her to me and I was sad when the book ended. I wanted to see what her next adventure would be.

DNF- Reminds me a lot of the writing style of the Rainbow Fairies series, except for older girls. Formulaic, simplistic writing style though not necessarily easy to read in terms of vocabulary. Not something I want to finish reading as an adult but maybe I'd read it with a child.
