Yes, that's right. 5 stars!! This is another novel that is set in Divine, Texas, and highlights the experiences of a young woman who is the younger sister of one of the heroes in "Summer's Indiscretion." Lydia is determined to live her own life, prove she is truly a grown-up, even though her two over-bearing older brothers, truly loving her, are still way too involved in her personal life. Now the exigencies of life have brought Lydia almost to the bottom of her emotional and financial resources, putting her at the mercy of an unscrupulous boss, a man who wants her for himself. This is a story of a young woman of principle, seeking her own path in life, who is confronted with some personal possibilities she has never considered except in her fantasies. It is a story of a love that is affirming and which turns out to not only bring Lydia to face her own capacity for love, but it is also the kind of relationship that can bring out the best in her lovers as well. Divine has a number of people living in polyamorous relational configurations, so this is not a new thing--new to Lydia, yes, but otherwise already a fact in this little community. There are still two over-bearing brothers to contend with as well as make some decisions about the direction for the future. A truly great read and one that will be a great experience for those already familiar with the Divine Creek Ranch series but for new readers as well

This book was on my to be read list and I’m wishing I had read it sooner. Two hot cowboys, how do you go wrong? Not to mention, they are identical twins which can be good or bad. One twin is soft, the other is rough but they complement each other well and take great care of Lydia.

Originally posted at: http://whippedcream2.blogspot.com/201...“Sometimes it’s best to just jump on in, baby.”Lydia doesn’t simply give in to the temptation of Chance and Clayton Carlisle, she embraces their love with her whole heart. Are you in the market for one of those books that’s chock full of sweet “awww” moments? You know the type of book I mean: the ones where the characters don’t drive the reader nuts by spending more time fighting their attraction to one another rather than enjoying the chemistry. The books that don’t expend vast amounts of time on correcting misunderstandings just to tie the characters up into a new emotional pretzel every other chapter. Conflict is fine, even necessary, but some authors wear the reader down with never ending angst. If you prefer the books that steal your breath with their passion and sensual romance, I have a treat for you.Lydia Webster is determined to live her life by her own rules and make her own way. She loves her “mama-bear” big brothers but they have their lives and she doesn’t want or need for them to interfere in hers. Not to say she’s opposed to all men being helpful or supportive. Take the deliciously sexy, sweet and generous Carlisle twins. More specially, Chance Carlisle. Just when Lydia thinks she’s hit rock bottom, Chance is there to bring her home and surround her with love times two.Ms. Rainier has the perfect quote to describe the difference in identical twins Chance and Clayton. They are “two totally identical men who were completely different. Chance, who was her sunshine and air. The one who had saved her. And Clayton who was her moonlight and passion. Her lover.” See, I bet you just said “aww”. You’re welcome. The road to Lydia, Chance and Claytons’ HEA isn’t completely without issues. A gold-digger, an old flame and mouthy jerk each put some effort into creating a stumbling block for the lovers. As with all true love stories, these useless individuals are more annoying than actual trouble. Actually, it’s one of Lydia’s big brothers that cause Chance and Clayton any real pain. *Sigh* They never saw it coming.I could literally go on and on about the clever dialogue, creative plot, the fluid storyline, built in soundtrack (my personal favorite touch by Ms. Rainier) and so on. This book is fulfilling on so many levels. Did I mention these three know how to set the sheets on fire? You aren’t just in the room when things get hot, you’re with them on the bed, the counter, the chaise lounge, the pier…bring a fan. Clothing optional.Even if this is your first trip to Divine Creek, I have no doubt you’ll enjoy Lydia, Chance and Clayton’s story. There’re several returning characters and some storylines from other books that are brought in but that should only whet your appetite to go find the other books and not preclude your enjoyment of this book.Author Heather Rainer pens some of my favorite full length ménage romance novels. I know each time I return to visit Divine Creek I’m going to meet and fall in love with a whole new and unique set of men and the woman lucky enough to catch their eye. With each new story I tell myself “this is going to be my favorite grouping” and then Ms. Rainier proves me wrong with a new installment to the series. The hallmark of an excellent storyteller is the ability to create a world where her characters continue to live on after the last page and where her readers beg for an opportunity to visit time and again. Lydia’s Twin Temptation is a fantastic read and not to be missed.

Out of all the Divine Creek books this is the one I have been waiting with the most anticipation for, I can't recall what book Clayton and Chance were introduced in, I think it was Heavenly Angel, but I have been eager for this story to unfold and it did not disappoint.Chef Lydia Webster moved to Fort Stockton with a job offer that looked like it would bolster her career, only to find out it fell through and ended up getting a job at Cafe Oasis with a handsy sleazy manager who she has been able to keep at arm's length. Finding her stuff stolen out of her dingy motel room is just about the last straw for her.Chance can't wait to see Lydia again, he has slowly been building up the courage to ask her out even though they live so far apart. His twin Clayton is interested too, but cannot see how a relationship would work out long distance. When Chance sees the opportunity to offer Lydia a job at the ranch cooking for the hands, he hopes she will accept it. Laying it all on the line, he shares with her what he hopes will develop into a meaningful relationship between the three if she is willing to try.***Reread because I had been looking at my five star reviews and curious about this one again. This is still a great read, Clayton is the vulnerable one in this story worried that the one thing he wishes for the most will never happen, only once Lydia is in his grasp does he begin to believe.A huge fulfilling sigh..loved it.

This is new author for me. Having a BIG soft spot for Texas Cowboys, I was drawn to the series that touts its men as, “rugged as the land they love, but gentle as a Texas breeze.” I haven’t read the previous Divine Creek Ranch Collections and for the most part, the story was fine to read as a standalone. Lydia Webster’s life has hit a big hitch and she’s stuck in West Texas looking to get the heck out. She’s a trained chef waiting tables until she can accumulate enough cash to relocate. She has a recurring customer, Chance Carlisle, a Rancher from Divine, who stops in to see her whenever he can, occasionally with his twin brother Clayton. Chance and Clayton offer Lydia a position as a chef for their ranch and as their own Lone Star Lover.Chance is head over heels fallin’ for Lydia. His brother Clayton is attracted to her, but is reluctant she’d be willing to make it a threesome with him for the long haul. These brothers are as gentlemanly as any Texas cowboy I’ve ever known. They want to cherish and care for Lydia in ways she’s never experienced. There is a slow build to the intimacy that really makes the story sweet. To read Ava's complete review visit:http://www.guiltypleasuresbookreviews...

With the little that we saw Lydia in the last book I was very excited to read this one. Things weren't really looking all that great for Lydia at the start, then got a bit worse. I was glad that Chance was there to rescue her and give her a sane place after finding out how crazy her boss was. I loved that Chance took advantage of Lydia's situation to explain what he and Clayton had been hoping for. He laid things out in an upfront manner and let her know that she wasn't obligated, but he would help her either way.The initial days at the Ranch were good for the 3 of them, allowed them to get to know each other and to fall into their roles at the Ranch. Of course not everything went well, a sleezy hand and gold digging house helper including.I loved how Lydia had a connection to Divine that she wasn't really aware of, even better was when the connection found out and the slap down that happened after and the whole pot/kettle/black speech. I think that was the highlight of the book!

Lydia Webster is stuck in Fort Stockton with a yelling boss in a job that seems to be going nowhere, when life takes a huge turn for the worst, until Chance walks in to brighten her day...Chance can't believe what Lydia has had to go through the last few days and once the dust settles he offers her what he's hoping will be a dream come true....Clayton is just happy that he now has a chance to prove himself to Lydia, and doesn't let ignorant people or big bad buttiniskis brothers deter him....can it truly work?....this was an awesome read the only thing that could have made it better was if a brother had gotten popped too coming from a little sister who knows that pain in the rear lol...onto the next

Review to come. Heather Rainier slipped a small bit of Lydia into another book and I was curious to find out about Lydia's story. Honestly though, I have not been reading this series accordingly :D I'm a badass like that. The insta-love with Lydia and Clayton didn't really work out that well for me though.

this is one of my favorite books. I'm not sure if its the idea of being spoiled by two sexy ranchers or if its just that Lydia is very sweet and deserves the love of two good men to look after her and make her happy.

I loved Chance and his perusal of Lydia and subsequent 'saving' of her from her situation and enjoyed getting to know Clayton. Bit annoyed by the protective older brother issue but otherwise a fun read.

Is it bad I wanted more conflict? I felt the beginning resolved too easy. But over all it was a good story with loads of steam!! I had been waiting for this for several books as it was referenced a while ago! So happy Lydia was reunited with her family and got her men!!

I just cannot get enough of the Divine Ranch Series. This was also a really fun read between Chance/Lydia/Clayton and throw in two big over protective brothers and you have a fun romantic read.
