Maybe it is me and my vocabulary...but man I had a tough time reading this book. I think I butchered all the names. I bit much for young kids.

Nice short little story with interesting facts at the end as well as lovely use of crafted animals (felt, beads, sequins, net etc.) for the illustrations

I found this book hard to read because I'm not familiar with all of the dinosaur names however the pictures are great! I was continuously running my hand over the pictures trying to touch the different textures even though they were only in the pictures! This is the first book I have seen with fabric illustrations and I loved it! I also appreciated the names and descriptions of all of the dinosaurs in the back of the book with the pronunciations.

Long-ish for storytime but if used as one of the first ones it is okay. The pictures are amazing. Mostly the kids today just wanted to talk about dinosaurs and didn't much care about the story but it worked.

The "illustrations" (such as they are) are so tender, sweet, and whimsical that I really don't even care how much I'm going to stumble over the dinosaur names when conducting storytime tomorrow. I wish this book had a tactile element!

Story is a little thin. The lovely illustrations are the real star here. I wish there was a page at the end listing all of the dinosaurs included within the story accompanied by maybe a fun fact about each.

I loved that the artwork was all done in felt! It was very fun and colorful! Perfect for any kid who loves dinosaurs! One question - why is my 3 year old better at pronouncing dinosaur names than I am?

Illustrated by Clare Beaton. Illustrated with interesting textures obviously "created" in real life, this is a nice, basic dinosaur story. Rhythmic text mentions 13 kinds of dinosaurs. Will be great for storytime.

Neat felt pictures and would be great for a dinosaur lover, but not the most fun story in the world.

One of the possibilities for Bookworms storytime. It does include a little on what dinosaurs eat. Great illustrations.

Typical "naming dinosaurs" book, which means that it has no real plot or purpose beyond making you stumble through dinosaur names. Still, the pictures are so beautiful, with fabric and trim accents.

I like the felt/fabric art for the illustrations but story is nothing special.
