Lutishia Lovely is at it again with the Livingston crew in this next installment of the business series titled Taking Care of Business and that is EXACTLY what they do!!!!!Bianca Livingston's West Coast leg of the Taste Of Soul empire which is called Taste Of Soul Tapas Style - TOSTS for short - has just finished with a very successful one year anniversary celebration when the restaurant is totally destroyed by a fire. Knowing all of the problems that has occurred with the Livingston family was this fire an accident or deliberate? In typical Livingston style, the entire family rushes to Bianca's side for support all accept her brother Jefferson.Jefferson Livingston is still in mourning over the loss of his position to run the West Coast leg of Taste of Soul to his sister Bianca and the loss of the only woman that he has ever loved Keisha in the only way that he knows how, at the bottom of a bottle. Chardonnay Wilson, assistant manager at Taste of Soul has not gotten over the fact that she helped the Livingston's put the man who's stolen from the Livingston Corporation behind bars only to have them renege on the reward money. Her husband Bobby, who is a chef with the corporation is looking forward to growing within the company but has some secrets that could possibly ruin those chances.Cooper Riley, the attorney that Bianca was engaged to before leaving him to be with Xavier Marquis, is defending Quintin Bright, the man put in jail for stealing money from the Livingston Corporation and also shooting Adam Livingston is also dating Quintin's sister Keisha who helped steal the money from Jefferson and the Livingstons. Shlya Martin, ex-marketing director for the Livingston Corporation is still upset that she didn't get what she wanted, Toussaint, but instead got forced into retirement from the Livingston Corporation with a nice severance package is still trying to figure out how to get back at the almighty family and not get in trouble for it. Joyce Witherspoon, owner of Loving Spoonful event planning business is trying to recover from not being able to snag one of the Livingston men but through her business sense and her beauty, she will make another attempt with this soul-food dynasty. Then there is the head of the Livingston clan, Marcus and Marietta Livingston, who are retired from the business but not from the family and the family IS the business. Marietta with her way of feeling/predicting something is going awry within the family keeps close ties to the kids and grandkids in a way that they still don't understand. Marcus is such a strong man of seventy-five but doesn't want to be left out of the loop when it comes to problems that may arise because he can still help and is more than willing to do so.Taking Care of Business is the third book in the business series by Lutishia Lovely and this book once again had me on the edge of my seat and talking with and to the characters. I absolutely love the way that while you are reading this book, you can feel like you are right there with the Livingstons and you want to help and give hugs where needed. That is the sign of a writer who is in tune with her readers because we go right along with the family on the ride of their lives. The first book is All Up In My Business and the second book is Mind Your Own Business and since this book doesn't release until March 27, 2012, you have time to get the first two books, read them and be ready for the release of this one!

As I did with the first two books in this Business series, I started reading 'Taking Care of Business' and didn't want to put it down. The story picked up right where 'Mind Your Own Business' left off and wasted no time serving up the increasingly-intriguing action. And I love that it's not predictable; there were several twists and turns that I wasn't expecting. At a couple of points, I was actually nervous to keep reading because of what I thought was going to happen next, only to be totally surprised. I was glad to see that Toussaint and Alexis were still going strong, we got some more insight into how the whole Livingston dynasty began with Marcus and Marietta; how Bobby finally got some backbone when it came to his wife, Chardonnay...I could keep going. Ms. Lovely again showed her mastery at keeping the reader mentally glued to the pages until the words ran out.If I had to say anything that could remotely seem like a con about this book, it would be that the character names were often confusing due to a lot of them being so similar (Constance, Candace; Malcolm, Marcus; etc). But that was a minor thing...I loved this book and I hope there will be another one to follow. I want to see what further happens with Quinton and his siblings, if we'll see any more of Shyla Martin, and if Jefferson and his apparent new love interest are going to last. With this Business series, Ms. Lovely has firmly and officially taken her place as my favorite author.

In the beginning I thought that this book was a sleeper…..I now believes it was because I had not read the beginning of the series. The storyline that I perceived to be predictable was not….I was amazed. There were several twists and turns that I wasn't expecting. At a couple of points, I was actually nervous to keep reading because of what I thought was going to happen next, only to be totally surprised. That made this reviewer a little giddy. Toussaint and Alexis are a dynamic couple and there was plenty of insight into how the whole Livingston dynasty began with Marcus and Marietta; Ms. Lovely showed her mastery at keeping the reader mentally glued to the pages until the words ran out.The negative thing that I could possibly say about this book character names were often confusing due to a lot of them being so similar (Constance, Candace; Malcolm, Marcus; etc). But that was a minor thing...I loved this book and I may just have to go back and pick up copies of the beginning so I can understand more of the very intricate family dynamics. Great job Ms. Lovely, well done.Antoinette LakeyAAMBC Reviewer

The third installment of the Business series gives the reader a little more background on the matriarchs of the Livingston family. Marcus Livingston missed the everyday hustle and bustle of the Business and his wife can't shake her "feelings". Many of the questions that you may have had in the first two books are answered here. I believe that this is the best book in the series and will really miss the Livingston family…especially the men! I've never read a book that has me blushing about the sex scenes that involved people older than myself…until now! I highly recommend this book and series to anyone looking for a drama-filled page turner. You will not be disappointed.

Pretty good series. Reminds me of my Carl Weber days when that and Eric Jerome Dickey was all I read.

Lutishia never cease to amaze me. I have read most of her books and I'm never disappointed. She knows how to draw you in and keep you guessing. This story was no exception to the rule. I cried, laughed, and wanted to hit some of the characters up side the head. The Livingston Family is your typical family with issues and drama. They love hard and played hard. They had secrets that the others didn't know about. My favorite was Toussiant and Alexis. They loved each other with such a passion like no other. You could feel it through the pages. Ace and Dianne were powerful in there love affair. Love to see a strong love between a older couple. I loved the ending of this story. I'm a sucker for happy endings.

OMG this storyline had so many revealing moments and twists and turns. I have truly enjoyed reading about the Livingston dynasty, what an amazing family and I gladly give this five stars. It's been a long time since I read a book that I didn't want to put down and didn't want the sequel to end. I enjoy Ms. Lovely's writing style, most authors give too much background of previous books when writing a series; which can be redundant and takes away from enjoying the book. I am looking forward to reading other books by this author.

Lutishia Lovely serves up another great read as usual. Initially, I had a little trouble keeping all those Livingstons straight but perhaps that was because I hadn't read the other two books that are a part of the business series. Having read several other books by the author that focused on the church, I was glad to be transported into the food industry arena. In Take Care Business, Ms Lovely serves up an interesting and unpredictable tale of love, business, betrayal and mystery.

This book is why I am an absolute fan of author Lutishia Lovely's body of work. Although this book is part of a series you don't have to worry about reading them out of sequence because she gives you just enough to follow along no matter which book you read first. In this installment the Livingstons are still battling unknown and well known enemies. They suffer a loss and gain. Really good series; fast paced, entertaining. Recommend.

The Livingston clan is at it again...and things getting firey from the start. This the third in the Business family series and its filled with the high impact action, enemies, shocks and surprises. I really enjoyed getting the family background history as in this book you get to meet the family matriarchs Marcus and Marietta Livingston in more detail. Lutishia Lovely has a page turner that had me glued to the seat and definitely surprised at the end.

It took about two chapters for me to get into this book. Wow! The other two in this series were good, but this was the best. Is there another book? I would like to hear Winston's story. I liked the way the Livingston men treated their wives. The men weren't perfect, but they honoured their marriages and the family was a loving and close-knit one.

Great end to the triology! Drama, twists & turns, revelations, revenge all wrapped in this one. Lutishia Lovely does a great job creating images and relationships that you cheer for. Well written contemporary novel that we would LOVE to see on the big screen. Kudos to you Ms. Lovely.

I absolutely loved this entire series. There was plenty of drama and a little mystery thrown in and a dash of romance to make an exciting read. I got a little misty eyed at times and laughed during other times. Lutisha Lovely is fast becoming one of my favorite authors.
