Reading Just Peachy was a huge chore. The main character, Peachy, thinks and speaks entirely too much and the author puts every painful word on the page. I wanted to give up on the book less than 1/4 of the way in but I hate to leave a mystery unsolved in my head. So I fought through the book... take my advice and skip this one if you can.

Not great, but not terrible. Book could have been shorter. Peach was a little annoying and pretty judgmental. The characters were pretty one-dimensional, the main characters were a little more developed but still not very complex. The plot twist near the end was way over the top.

Love the mystery aspect of this story. The plot twist was unexpected.

I really give this 3.5 stars. Better than average chick lit with a bit of an Emma-style plot, wherein an attractive woman is only interested in matchmaking until love hits her in the face, but the characters also get tangled up in a disappearing man plot that ends up not being terribly suspenseful by does keep the pace going. The author is a women's studies professor, so there's a bit of a feminist twist on the genre, BUT 1) the lead character Peach is oddly naive and a little too convinced of her own self-worth to be believable, and 2) the sex scenes? are much more graphic than I would have expected, but the correct names for body parts are used instead of euphemism and the end result is that the scenes are pretty steamy. So I enjoyed the book, for the most part.

This book... was a bit scandalous... There was quite a lot of sexual stuff, so be prepared for that. I enjoyed the romance between them though. I understood a lot of the hesitant romance, and overall it gave me an interesting world to live in for a few days. Just be prepared.

This book just came across as very childish and over-the-top. I only read this book because someone picked it for our bookclub - and I'm thinking that it was a very inappropriate pick!! Very detailed sex scenes are not appreciated by everyone!

okay so peach is a TALKER! which is very reliable to me cause I talk non stop to anyone who is willing to listen. typical romance but what's interesting is mysterious disappearance of her Co worker. I definitely suggest it. there is a few parts of sex so 13 and over.

I read this book in a day in a half. It was an easy read, but a bit predictable.

The end turned out cute but the writing was pretty awful.
