"To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die." ~Thomas CampbellWhen We Meet Again is a beautiful, bittersweet, short, and inspirational love story. It's about love, death, healing, and learning to live life to it's fullest, thus honoring the memory of those loved ones from whom death has separated us from.A special heartfelt thank you to all the families that have lost loved ones who have given their lives to protect the country that I love.

A sweet sad short, that honors those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, so that "our dreams" can be realized. Just a few pages that hold so much made me cry.

I read this short story last night, it was late and I didn't want to pick out a new book. This fit the bill nicely. I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem and my first thoughts upon finishing it were how did the author pack such a wallop of emotions within so few pages. 4-1/2 stars. It's just a simple story of a wife awaiting the return of her husband from Iraq. But it is also the safety, strength, comfort and intoxication of being loved, knowing love, giving love as well as the pain, agony, longing and stress of separation. It is about so much more than that but I don't want to spoil anything."I sniffed and pulled back just far enough to look up at him once again - not too far as I didn't want to leave his strength, his magnificence, his comfort."This little story is really more than just a read, it is an experience to be felt and savored. If you've been fortunate enough to have that deep love that goes beyond sex, have dreamed of that kind of love, then this is for you. If you have ever experienced sending a loved one off to war or any separation and that felt that need and loneliness, this is for you. It's only .99 cents, so do yourself a favor pick this up and save it to read when you have a little time and want to be swept up in the depths of human emotion and the healing power of love.

Very TouchingThis is a very touching little story. I can't say too much about it really, without giving it away. Let me just say that it is beautifully written, and it shows us that there is always hope, even in the darkest moments.

This is flash fiction the way it was meant to be written - few short pages with a punch! I really can't say much about the plot, doing so would give away the story, but I can say the story is emotionally moving. As a military wife it touched on subjects I had to live with for years and I admire Chevrestt for taking them on.

This was a short & to the heart love story of a lost true love. You could truly feel the anguish of the wife that was left behind. The author made believe for just a moment that her life had been so different. This was a short so worth reading. So honors the wives (& husband) who honor their spouses that serve & may never return.
