NY Times Best Selling author John Locke: "Gary Ponzo's thrillers are so powerful, the government should use them as a renewable source of energy." In this high-octane thriller, Nick Bracco, FBI's top anti-terrorist agent is drawn into the hostile environment of the Arizona-Mexico border. A member of his task force is ambushed by Mexican assassin, Antonio Garza, known as, "The Butcher," while trying to prevent the cartel staffer from transporting a dirty bomb into the US. As the agent is on the verge of slaughter, he calls Bracco with one last plea: Kill him. Garza, however, uses his cartel money to reach over the border and secure a network of US law enforcement to be on his payroll. Bracco is forced to track him down with just a couple of agents he can trust, plus his cousin Tommy. Tommy is a shrewd character with extensive Mafia contacts who offer their underground assistance as Bracco spearheads the deadly game of Sicilians versus the cartels. Can Nick Bracco track down Garza before the assassin finds him first?...

Ponzo's Bracco books just keep getting better and better. Like the others, this one is a face paced ride that never lets you catch your breath. I couldn't put this book down until I had finished it. Gary Ponzo is probably the best quality indie author I have ever read--I don't understand why he isn't on the top 5 sellers' list; it's a shame that not enough people have discovered him yet. He deserves to be at the top and hopefully someday that will be where his Bracco books will be sitting.

Ponzo did it again! God I love this series, the latest Nick and Matt installment did not disappoint. Well written, timely for world events and a true pleasure to read... Me being an author myself I'm going to go broke buying all of Ponzo's books... 5 stars across the board, check this series out guys and gals... You will love them all... Keep up the good work Gary, I can't wait for the next one.

A Touch of Greed is by Gary Ponzo. It is the third in the Nick Bracco series.Nick Bracco is back with the FBI and with his partner Matt. They are stationed in Payson, Arizona where they are living with Nick’s wife Julie and son Thomas and Matt’s girlfriend and fellow FBI agent Jennifer Steele. They are on the trail of Antonio Garza, a smuggler. Antonio smuggles anything a client wants through the border into the United States. His record for getting shipments is an impressive 95%. If you pay for it, he will move it. Garza knows there is an informant in his organization but can’t figure out who it is. He tests his right hand man Victor and finds he is not the informer. Victor follows whatever Garza wants done and promises to take care of his son if something should happen to Garza. Right now, he has to give his attention to the two shipments that have to go through tonight. Can he get them through without being caught? Where are Nick and Matt? Does Garza realize that Nick and Matt are out for revenge- revenge for two agents who were killed? What does this situation have to do with the presidential campaign that is being held in Mexico? The plot seems to be simple and yet as the book progresses, it gets more and more complex.

Not on a par with the first two, but highly enjoyable!I was happy to find the plot change (slightly!) from the first two. This novel focuses on Nick and Matt, along with Tommy and their techie Stevie who go after a Mexican forwarding agent rather than the previous Kurds. I thought the pace was not as quick as the last one, but the story read well with the usual three-way story amongst Nick and Matt, the President and his sidekick and the drug-running 'bad guys', all coming together smoothly during the book. There were a few 'is he going to save the world again on his own' moments, but at the end it all turns out to be plausible. In fact, the end has a nice, if what slightly predictable for those who read between the lines, finale although I would have liked an update on the 'source' of the original location who was left in a wheelchair. All in all, a good read just not 'quite' as good as the first two, in particular, A Touch of Deceit.

Author, Gary Ponzo, provides a fast-paced, gripping, and intense read with his latest instalment in the popular, Nick Bracco series. The author turns on the excitement from the opening chapter and keeps the flame alight throughout. With well-developed leading characters, Nick and Matt, and a heady mix of villains I was totally absorbed by this terrific story. As readers we are introduced to a different world, a world where danger is an ever-constant fact of life. The dialogue is superb together with a highly descriptive narrative which makes you feel part of the story.I have no hesitation in giving ‘A Touch Of Greed’ five stars, highly recommended to all who enjoy edge of your seat thrillers.

Not as great as the first two, but still an enjoyable book. A bit upset over something, but I will not spoil it here. Overall a fun read I completed in one day. I will get the next book, A Touch Of Malice on April 1st using Amazon Prime Lending, as I am in no hurry to buy this book as I was in getting book III.

Yet another fast paced thriller from Gary Ponzo. At the rate I'm reading this series, I'm beginning to dream about Nick Bracco and his partner Matt McColm. True to life and most enjoyable! Might get more sleep if I move in with the author.

A true thriving tale of the drug tradethe outcome was predictable, but the story to get there was carefully constructed, which made it delightful read 9 of 10
