The Star Tablet Reviews
And this is why I don't like starting a series in the middle. This was a little slow moving for me, but I think that I would have enjoyed it more if I had not started this in the middle of the series. I have had this book for some time but did not realize it was part of a series until after I'd started on it. Jack is a psychic investigator and his ward Billie is missing. He meets up with an old Army buddy (Dog McCreedy) who assists him in his quest. Combining sci-fi and a bit of a mystery, this novel should have been one that I really enjoyed and yet it was a slog.
#3 in the series, two years after the last book. Billie has joined Antille at the University, and have discovered something; now they've disappeared in search of it. While trying to find them, Jack Stein meets an old army buddy, who seems to have the resources Jack needs. But what are his real motives for helping Jack. And just what do Jack's weird dreams mean?
