(My copy is the second edition, but I'm using the third's picture here)This is a small book with which you will be able to explain a vegan diet while you are traveling. It is organised by language, though English is the first page. At the beginning there are maps with numbers pointing towards the page where the language suitable for the country is, and at the end you find them listed by country name. In-between are pages for each language (including mine, Finnish - and if you visit us, on the coastline you can also use Swedish). There is also 'if all else fails' page, for the cases where no language page will work or the other person is illiterate, with pictures of frowny and smiley face, surrounded by the foods. Also finally, there is the airline meal code for vegan food. While I'm not a vegan (yet), I can still clearly see how useful this might be, especially in places where one can't speak the language, or at least not well. So for anyone vegan and traveling, this is certainly quite useful and essential. :)

This is a little passport size multi-lingual phrasebook that contains translations in 56 languages, covering 95% of the world's population, one language on each page, that explains what vegans do and don't eat. It even has 2 pages at the end of the book, one with a smiling face and one with a face in a frown with pictures of vegan and non-vegan foods/food sources for "when all else fails." Also contains maps that show parts of the world where each language is commonly spoken and the vegan airline meal code for airline travelers. Unique and incredibly useful (a must have tool) for vegans who travel or eat at ethnic restaurants where their native language(s) are not spoken or not spoken well. Vegetarians could also find it helpful.I own all 3 editions of this book.
