I read book one last year and was eagerly awaiting this book. I liked this book even more than book one. The book starts out with Samara living in Sydney and a worldly life which had her basically out in the cold. The start is edgier than some Christian Fiction but in saying this it is needed and still clean but you get the feel of what Samara is feeling and living. What happens to her and how a meeting with a stranger change her life is very believable and interesting to see. There is also mystery in this book and light suspense which follow Samara when she returns home. The one person she isn't expecting to see is Jed, Flynn's brother. They have a history in Brisbane till something goes wrong. Jed blames Samara for alot of things that in reality were not all her fault. Jed has his own demons he needs to work out. Even after Samara returns home there still seems to be things happening from her past and the mystery kept me wondering what would happen next. I went to bed having read 25% of the book intending to just read one more chapter. 2 am I finished the book as I just could not put it down. Rose had me hooked from the beginning and the longer the book went the more I was pulled in. This book deals with issues such as forgiveness both of others and ones self, acceptance of what has happened in the past and accepting responsibility for the issues. Also dealing with the consequences of ones actions and dealing with them. This book is definitely in my top reads of this year. Great Aussie Drama.

Want some unsolicited advice? Don't read the back cover blurb! It contains a huge spoiler for one of the major plot twists.Samara's life has spiralled out of control. She's involved in the dark and degrading world of Kings Cross nightclubs and she's barely holding on to the little integrity she has left. Apparently one disastrous decision long ago in the aftermath of a relationship breakup has led to an ever downward cycle. The police want her to talk about her drug-dealing ex-boyfriend; the vicious bouncer at the club where she works is starting to take an obsessive interest in her. After more than one brush with death, she might even be ready to return home and reconcile with her family. Maybe even apologise to the guy whose life she is just about to discover she almost ruined, Flynn McKenna. (The now-married hero of Book 1 in this series:Back to Resolution)Throughout the story, the name of the man who broke her heart and sent her into a tailspin is carefully concealed until he's on the scene. Unfortunately the cat is out of the bag on the back cover - and this nifty revelation just doesn't have the ooomph it should.Thereafter the usual ups and downs of romance in a tropical paradise run their course. It's about forgiveness, overcoming the past and accepting consequences.

Rose Dee has done a wonderful job on her sequel in the Resolution Series. It's another entertaining read with very challenging messages. The overriding message in this story is that. God can uses our mistakes, not matter how bad, to bring us back to Him. Samara has hit rock bottom in her devastating spiral of destruction. Can she find a way to accept responsibility for her mistakes and forgive others and herself for where she has ended up? And will she ever be united with the one man she has never been able to forget? This is definitely a romance and Rose Dee does a great job of delivering.

When I read the back cover copy of this book, I assumed it would be full of thriller. But it wasn’t. That’s not to say that I was disappointed with the story. Far from it. It turned out to be a good romance, but with its own unique twists and theme.I liked the manner in which this story explored fear, vanity and their consequences. Rose didn’t spare us on how low a person could sink if they let themselves be a victim of these two. This was Samara’s—the lead female character—case. She sank so low in heart and spirit, as well as everything else. But God in His graciousness had provided a person for her that would lead her back to life, even before she knew that she needed it. And when she finally realized that she did, it was amazing following her story and seeing how God’s mercy shrouded her from terrible consequences that could have resulted from her past mistakes. This story also showed how dangerous and destructive anger could be in a person’s life if they don’t ask God to help them deal with it. This was Jed’s—the male lead character—shortcoming. Mixed with his pride, he often demanded perfection, even from himself, which further frustrated him when he failed. It was until his anger started to cost him, that he was forced to admit his powerlessness and imperfections. It is interesting to point out that these two people fell in love before they discovered God. However, each had personal issues that messed up and nearly destroyed their lives, and didn’t let them be together. It was until they went their separate ways and found God before they were able to forgive and love each other again. You could see that the romance between these two people was intense. However, I didn’t find it so engaging. I can’t say I ever looked forward to the next scene where they’d be together. I was more interested in the monologue that showed the positive growth of the characters as God dealt with them, and in how the story unfolded to their happily ever after. The setting of this story—in Australia—was so rich and refreshing. It made me fall in love all over again with islands and beaches, even the small towns and rural communities mentioned in the story. The simplicity of life of the characters in the later part of the story spurred from these environments. It was quite refreshing! I applaud Rose for that. This story underscored some serious truths. You can choose to ignore reality, but one thing nobody can do, is ignore the consequences of ignoring reality. The positive side to this was that it showed that God can deliver anyone, even from the worst of troubles. With God, ALL things are possible, and healing is absolutely available if you would choose to lay down fear and put your trust in Him. It was amazing following how deep grace could go, especially in Samara’s life. There were other side lessons that were not exactly the main theme, but caught my attention, making this book very special to me.I also found the book cover fascinating. Her legs clad in fitted jeans, and the high heeled shoes show that this was a woman who took elegance, glamour and sophistication very seriously, as was evident in the initial Samara met in the story before her life turned around. Also, the intense mix of colors represents the diverse emotions in and around her world, something you couldn’t miss in the story. The streaks of light on the ground indicate the fast paced life that Samara found herself in, and struggled to survive. Standing in the middle without facing either directions of the wood panels of the floor and light, represent the crossroads Samara found herself as she struggled to make choices. According to the story, she could have turned either way—right or wrong. Which would it be? I guess the end told us that.I found this story very engaging and enjoyed it a lot. I’ll be looking out for other books by Rose Dee.

Samara's odyssey began when the man she gave her heart to left her by means of a note.It read "It's not working." And that was that. Only it never is. You don't sever a connection and erase history that simply, that cleanly. With her whole world rocked on its foundations, Samara dove into a lifestyle she hadn't known before, and in a very short time she ended up in places she never expected to be with people she couldn't trust. In the blinded brokenness after Jed disappeared, Samara had a brief relationship with his brother Flynn, where the choices they made damaged both of them. After that Samara engaged in a loveless stint as the girlfriend of a major drug dealer, and when he moved on to a younger model, Samara turned to stripping in a seedy club. And that is where we meet her in this novel. We follow Samara...In the strip-club where the surgically augmented women infuse themselves with the false courage of cheap champagne before going out to earn their pittance. In the dark alley way, where she was attacked. And into the flat where the girl she rooms with is has moved on to hard drugs when she returns from a night of prostitution. And we follow her back home, back to her policeman father who needs care after a motorcycle accident, back to her nursing skills that she had given up, back to a place where resolution and restoration and a future of joy are all waiting for her. Beyond Resolution is a finely told, gritty story.I am very glad I had the chance to read this book, which is set in Australia by the way, and without Bookcrash.com I wouldn't have ever heard of it!

When you say don’t judge a book by its cover that definitely refers to the novel Beyond Resolution. This is a story about a nurse/model who made some very bad mistakes in her life. Her choices (like many of us) led her down a road to self-destruction. It isn't until she finds the Lord and accepts Him that changes are made. This novel has a mixture in it; it is a romance, suspense all in one. It is very well written, easy to read. It’s a novel that is hard to put down. It shows that broken people can find God, and it teaches all about forgiveness. The only thing I didn't like, is that some of the “romantic” scenes were a bit to explicit for a Christian novel.I received this book free from bookcrash . I was not required to write a positive review and the opinions I have expressed are my own. Sometimes, it is our mistakes that drive us toward the loving embrace of God. That is what I took away from the second instalment of the Resolution Series. Once again Rose Dee kept me enthralled throughout as I turned the pages, always wondering what would happen next. More than just a romance, this story had a little mystery and suspense added to give it that something special that I really enjoy. And again Rose brings the environment to life, from the streets of Sydney to the North Queensland coast, you feel like you're right there with the characters. I recommend this novel to all lovers of contemporary romance. I look forward to the third novel in this series.

Thoughts while reading…“Jesus said: Don't judge others, and God won't judge you.Don't be hard on others, and God won't be hard on you. Forgive others, and Godwill forgive you.” Luke 6:37 As I read about Samara at her absolutely rock bottom time in life, the above scripture came to mind. That train of thought led to me to remember that yesterday is in the past, and life is full of possibilities. We must all forgive ourselves, forgive others and step into our future.Continue reading... http://michelledevans.blogspot.com.au...

I read the first book in this series Back To Resolution a couple of months ago and loved it. Beyond Resolution did not disappoint me. Loved it also. Looking forward to reading A New Resolution shortly. Rose Dee is a talented author and puts so much detail into her characters. After the man that Samara loved left her with a broken heart she leaves home to go to Sydney where she travels down a road of destruction and her life spirals out of control. She has hit rock bottom and fears for her life after a recent incident. She meets Nick on Kings Cross Street and he invites her to stay at the shelter where he helps the homeless and downtrodden with food, a bed, and shares his faith. Nick leads Samara to except Christ as her savior, His love for her and forgiveness. This life changing event leads her back home. She and her father go to Resolution Island while he heals from a serious accident. Samara never would have imagined that Jed the love of her life was staying on Resolution Island while on a forced vacation. His brother and wife run the resort. Jed and Samara both are angry with each other and unforgiving. Staying away from confronting each other has been impossible due to certain events. Since last seeing each other both have found faith in God and their lives have changed. Does Samara feel that Jed has changed and does Jed believe that Samara has changed? As they are being drawn to each again how will their new relationship progress? Can they get over the anger and forgive each other? Can they trust? Will love conquer all?You will find fear, some suspense and danger, faith, forgiveness and love; that God can make our mistakes into something amazing. So much more to read about. Recommend this book.I received this book from bookfun.org for my honest opinion and review.

I was not privileged to read Book 1 in this series. This is does not mean that I was lost in Book 2. It is a very good novel that can be a stand alone. I do however, want to go back and read Book 1 in that it will give me more background on the characters.Samara has hit rock bottom in her life. She went from being a kept woman in a lavish lifestyle to one that even she does not recognize. She is living a life and in a world that she is ashamed of. She is living in fear. She comes to realize that fear is not a realistic emotion to live with. A chance encounter with a stranger leads Samara to find faith. She comes to realize that she is not alone. That God loves her no matter what her past transgressions were. Now she must return to home and face the problems which she left there.Jed walked away from the only woman he ever loved. He never left her a reason but he hates her more than anyone. But when the two are thrown together, can they see that each has changed? Can they get past their differences, their pain, their anger to see the love they still harbor for each other? Will the danger bring them back together?Love and forgiveness play a major role in this novel. "God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7 is the verse which brings it all together. I was not able to put the book down. I wanted to keep reading to find out how and if Samara would find her peace. Great novel.I received a copy through bookfun.org in exchange for my honest review. I will definitely read Book 1 and the next installments.

Rose Dee relates the story of a young woman, Samara, whose life has to plunge to the worst levels before she realizes that her choices have brought her to a life that she utterly hates. Danger from relationships with drug dealers and a job in a strip club finally bring her to her senses. One day a chance encounter with a Christian man, Nick, who was passing out daily devotionals on the street leads her to seek a different way of life. As she reads the Bible verses, she knows that she wants the "power, love, and sound mind" expressed in the book, not the feelings of fear. A vicious attack near the strip club is aborted when Nick arrives to help her. He stays with her at the hospital and offers her a nursing job and place to stay at the charity shelter and clinic that he manages. For ten months she enjoys her life at the shelter. When her brother calls to tell her that their dad needs her nursing skills after his motorbike accident, she knows that it is the right time to go home and face her past. However, her past confronts her in ways that she never dreamed. Can she overcome her past and find happiness? The author spins an entertaining story; yet, there are some realistic situations and mature themes. The author shows that people can change through God's touch on their lives. Beyond ResolutionBeyond Resolution, was written by Rose Dee and given to me to review. The author addresses questions such as: Can God use evil to accomplish His good and sovereign purposes? How does faith help? What can bring you out of a life of self-destruction? What is it that gives us joy, peace, and the ability to forgive? This is a story about Samara and her life experiences. She experienced the divorce of her mother and father, betrayal, hurt, bitterness, an assault, etc. Through a man on the street and others seeds of faith were planted in Samara’s life. Others watered them. God was making the seeds grow in Samara’s heart. Read the book to find out what happens to Samara. The book is easy to read and well written. The reader gets quickly involved in the drama of the story and in the lives of the characters as they are developed. There is action, intrigue, murder, mystery, drama, suspense, and some possible answers to the questions I listed in the beginning of this review.Beyond Resolution is valuable to everyone, especially to those seeking insight and comfort for emotional and spiritual pain. Thank you Even Before Publishing for offering it free in exchange for my honest opinion and BookFun.org for making it all happen!

Beyond Resolution is a great addition to the Resolution Series. I absolutely love the way Rose Dee writes probable, realistic stories without compromising the gospel and without sugar coating the stories. In Beyond Resolution, Samara wakes up one day to realize the full depth of her descent into a sinful life. Once a model in high fashion, she sees how her lust for money and fame took her on a full ride from wealth to the poverty of stripping. Without family or friends and a baggage full of shame, Samara begins seeking God with the help of a kind and God fearing man, Nick. When Samara’s fears are fully realized, she must seek protection and resolution to the world she’s succumbed to. Jed finds himself seeking a place to get away from his current situation and he finds it on the island of Resolution where he and his brother are reunited. But Jed’s past is waiting for him and he must come to terms with things he has allowed to drive him --- even those things driving him into destruction. When two worlds collide, pasts are exposed and the process of resolution begins. This is a wonderful story about how God can use even the ugliest of things to bring a heart back to Himself. I received this book from the Book Club Network in exchange for my honest opinion.

“Beyond Resolution” is the second book Rose Dee has written that partially takes place on Resolution Island. The book can easily be understood without reading the first one. This book starts off quite harshly, with some pretty graphic examples of living a wild and dangerous lifestyle. Granted, Rose Dee definitely portrays this lifestyle that her main character (Samara) is living as very negative and damaging to her self-esteem, her safely, her walk with God, and to her family. I like that Rose Dee shows how the choices that Samara has made are what have brought her to rock bottom. This book does a great job of teaching that we are responsible for our decisions, and also the consequences of those decisions. I wish everyone could all have a “Nick” in their lives, someone that accepts each of us unconditionally right where we are, and shows us how very loved we are! Nick truly represents what all Christians should look like. If you want to see what I am talking about you will have to read the book! I would not recommend this book for young teens as some of it takes place in a strip club. I received this book from “The Book Club Network” in exchange for my honest opinion.

had never read a book by Rose Dee before and didn't really know what to expect. I was not disappointed. This is a beautiful story of redemption. It is about a young woman, Samara, who has made many bad choices and finds herself alone and at the very bottom as a stripper. She is also in danger as a result of some past relationships and survives two attacks. One of the attacks lands her in the hospital. A chance meeting with a Christian starts her on her journey to Christ. She accepts Jesus as her savior and begins a new life. She returns home to recover and reconcile with her father. She meets an old boyfriend, Jed, who has his own history to deal with. They both have to overcome their own "demons", Samara her fear and Jed his anger, to begin working on restoring their own relationship. While reading this story, I kept thinking to myself that it reminds me of a present day Grace Livingston Hill story. It has mature themes, but they are handled tactfully. It is a book of substance and weaves the gospel and God's love in beautifully.I received a copy of the book from the publisher and the Book Club Network in exchange for my honest opinion, which I have given.

Beyond ResolutionBy Rose DeeBeyond Resolution is the second book in Rose Dee’s Resolution series. I didn’t know what to expect when I set down to read this book. This was the first book by Rose Dee I had read, and it was the second book in a series. This book can actually be read as a stand-alone or be read in the order of the series. Samara has made the wrong choices in her life, her boyfriend who is a drug dealer has beaten her and with this entire happening she now lives a life filled with fear. Until one day as she was on Kings Cross Street and meets a stranger who tells her about Jesus. After hearing what this person had to say, Samara accepts Jesus as her savior and begins a new life. She moves back home and to get help and to reconcile with her father. Samara meets Jed, who has a past of his own and doesn’t want to be in Resolution and doesn’t want to be in contact with his brother. Can Samara help Jed with his anger issues? Can Samara ever stop living with fear?Great book!! You definitely will enjoy this novel!Thank you to bookfun.org for providing me with a copy of this book for my honest review.

This is a pretty good Christian romance. It is certainly a realistic view of how low someone can fall. Samara had planned a career in nursing, then modeling, but poor choices have brought her to the place of stripping for money. God's redeeming hand finds her, though, as Nick helps her leave that life. Samara goes home to care for her father who has been in an accident. She knows she will have to face the man she loved so much but hurt so deeply. The characters are well developed and the plot is pretty good. I wanted more description of the area, however. I wanted to read about Queensland but I felt the novel could have taken place in any coastal town.See my full review at http://bit.ly/1syhaQH.I received a complimentary copy of this book through the Book Club Network for the purpose of an independent and honest review.

I rate this book 4 stars. It was a bit hard for me to get into this story. It is a lovely story of peace, forgiveness and second chances. Returning to Resolution was never part of Sam's plan but she finds that love is waiting there for her in the most unexpected places and ways. She has lived a lifetime feeling unloved by a father who did not get to know her and love her, but her stepmother adores her and maybe, just maybe, Sam will learn to trust and actually allow this precious barren woman to love her. Truly love her. Learn about God's love and the love of true family and loyalty in Beyond Resolution. Beyond ResolutionBy: Rose DeePower packed story. Samara had one ruff life. Beaten by a drug selling boyfriend. Seems like every choice she makes in life turns up into being very bad choices. She went to as low as being a stripper in a club. Can her life ever turn into something better? She does meet a stranger on the streets can this new acquaintance help her or hurt her even more? Something happens big that has her father and her going back to Resolution to live for awhile. Can she do this her old boyfriend is there? What will he think of the life she has been living since they parted? This book deals with trust and forgiveness. Very well written looking forward to the next one in the series. 5 star

Beyond Resolution is part of the Resolution series. But it can be read and understood as a stand-alone. I enjoyed both books tremendously. I was able to take alot from the books for myself, in my own learning process. But yet enjoy the book as a story itself. Rose Dee has a way of weaving her characters and settings into a very realistic plot. Her story lines have a lesson to them if you want to see it. I look forward to her next and final book in the series. I will continue to follow her in her writing pursuits.I recieved this book from the Book Club Network in exchange for my honest opinion.
