Whisper and Christian are artists and owners of the extraordinarily successful Dreamweaver Art Galleries. These enterprises were started by their mother, a brilliant, Black painter and businesswoman, whose intuition and ingenuity took her beyond every barrier society tried to erect, and whose aesthetic vision continued beyond a life too brief.During what should have been a celebration, Marcus Sede, the younger brother of Whisper’s best friend, Katherine, hides something very sinister when he arrives in Philadelphia — and Christian is in denial about a bad premonition both he and his sister had.Whisper’s relationships sour as Whisper and Marcus square off, competing for influence over Katherine and particularly Christian. Her best friend’s brother becomes hell-bent on having her younger brother, and Whisper must stop Marcus because Christian’s denial of the premonition could be fatal — for someone. What you won’t know can hurt you....

Overall, it wasn't paranormal enough for me and there was just too much put into one book and it was rushed through. Would I recommend this? Absolutely, and I plan to because I feel like lots of people would really enjoy this. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it, but I was looking for more of the paranormal and less of the drama (unless it was related to the paranormal). Still, the stories in themselves were decent but needed more room to play.Full review at http://urbanparanormal.blogspot.com/

Having read this book on a whim, I must say I was captivated by the story and characters. The fine details being brought to life by the author made it nearly impossible to put down. I believe that Mr. Vaughn is one of the great authors of our day. I look forward to his next work.
