FantasticA fast paced follow up of soul protector. Loved this book and towards the end couldn't even go to the loo as was too absorbed in the characters and their destiny. Really hoping that there will be another book from this series soon.

I can't tell you long it seems I have been waiting for this book, because it seems like a lifetime...... Was it worth the wait???? HELL YEAHI was gripped from the start and you know when you get into a book so much that your hearts beating fast and your eyes are going ten to the dozen trying to get to the end but in fact not actually wanting it end! Well that was me!I hate it when a sequel feels like it a just a filler but The Betrayal for me was loads better than the first soul protector (and I adored the first). I felt like I was inside the book, sat in that cafe watching the scenes unravel around me, and yes I laughed and cried, all signs of a very good book.... But the 2am stop up doesn't happen very often, the ignoring everyone at lunch, not talking to my boyfriend and totally messing up my revision plan..... Doesn't happen very often. I was so committed to finding out who the betrayer was, kept saying to myself once I know I'll finish and actually put my kindle down for 30mins, but I got to the part and just carried on reading.Thank you sooooo much for this amazing read and PLEASE don't make me wait too long for the next one...... Because that cheeky teaser at the end has officially made me your new stalker of your fan page!!!!!!!

In book two of the Soul Protector series, Soul Protectors Gracie Reynolds and Dan Sullivan relationship is about to be put to the test, when Gracie finds out that Dan has arranged to meet up with his ex-girlfriend. Then when Dan goes missing and with an investigator working for the Paranormal Research Agency UK claiming that he can now provide proof that body switching is possible. Gracie knows that the only way that he could have got evidence is through a corrupt Soul Protector and that Dan may be in grave danger.Gracie must act fast and risk her own life to not only save Dan, but to stop the world of Soul Protectors from being exposed and putting all the other Soul Protectors in danger.I really enjoyed reading the first book in this series and the second book is even better. You are straight into the action and what a lot of action there is in this book too and drama. You are left in suspense if Gracie will save the day. A great read. I am really looking forward to reading book three in the series.

First of all, I really enjoyed the first book in this series. I can honestly say that it was one of the few books that I remembered the story line even after going so long waiting for the sequel. The sequel will NOT disappoint. I read it in one day, and I literally mean less than 24 hours. It has been a long time since I was so emerged in a book. The strong points not only for this novel, but for the author as well include character development (and how much the reader grows to like the characters) and the original plot. This is the first series (in my opinion) that has completely stood on its own (yes, this means there weren't any vampires, angels, demons, etc.), while remaining in the Young Adult category. There is no way you will feel like you are re-reading another book. Believe me, I know the feeling. I recommend this book to all Young Adult readers, but especially those who like to explore other worlds besides their own.

Now THIS is what I love! It was fun, fast paced, great connection to the characters, and I couldn't put it down. I read both books in 3 days! Let's just say I saw the sun rise both nights! The only thing was, I figured out the "who dunnit" part very early on. There were still twists and surprises! I cannot wait for the third!

I was really looking forward to this second book in the Soul Protector series, as i had loved the first book. This second book is well written, with great characters - some new and some already known such as Gracie and Dan, and a great plot.I really enjoyed this, and I'm so looking forward to the next instalment!

I have been looking forward to reading this book for years until I finally managed to get my hand on one of the copies. The main character, Gracie seems to forget about everyone else around her, other than Dan that is until she needs them. Also, one of her best friend (can we even call them best friend?) Kerry seems like a very annoying character, in the beginning of the book she seems to be wanting to remove the boyfriend and flirts with every guy that she sees, but at the end of the book, when the boyfriend dumped her, she came back crying and regretting all her actions and wanting him back. Oh, so annoying! Also, the book seems to have very predictable plot twist.

This was originally reviewed on The Book Hookup**A copy of this book was given to The Book Hookupbut that did not influence the review**Initial thoughts: I read the first book a while ago and I adored it, so I was looking forward to reading book 2. Ms. Cowley was kind enough to put some refreshers in the beginning to catch me up on some of the smaller details even though I actually remembered a lot of this series. As good as the storyline is for Soul Protectors I’m a romantic at heart and couldn’t wait to see where Dan and Gracie’s relationship went. The Story: Gracie and Dan are Soul Protectors, people that are able to slip into someone else’s body temporarily. However, they are not random Soul Protectors, they actually work for an organized group that has laws and rules. There is no bending of the rules, unfortunately, and sometimes the stakes can be quite high. The intensity of this novel kicks up a notch when safety of the Soul Protectors is threatened by a leak. It is even further heightened when Dan goes missing along with a few others. While Gracie is dealing with more personal issues she knows she has to save him.Gracie: Gah. I wanted to like her so much more but I had no strong feelings either way about her. When she goes through Dan’s phone and checks his texts, then spies on him in the cafe… I knew she had gotten it wrong. I cringed it was so out of a soap opera. She is also quite reckless at times in serious situations. While it might seem heroic I felt she was foolish. In the end her decisions worked out, but I just never fell in love with her.Dan: Yes, yes, yes. I love Dan. He is confident, yet still sweet which makes him extremely sexy. Then to top it of he is gorgeous….yes, he is the total package. When Gracie accuses him of infidelity, he actually gets angry and I really respected him for it. He didn’t let Gracie walk all over him. However, he does forgive her because he is such a great guy.The secondary characters: I think my favorite character was Marcus, and I preferred him over the female BFF. Kerry was ridiculous and I tried to like her as well but just couldn’t. I would have liked to have gotten to know Lauren more, but we only saw the surface get scratched with her. Maybe in the next installment? The Twists and Turns: WOA! I did not expect that double-crossing and I loved it! I loved to be surprised. Looking back I don’t know how I missed it, but I did! :)The Ending: Totally a HEA for all you romantics out there. No cliff hanger and a great place to end the book.Rec it? Yes, these are great quick reads full of action and romance. You won’t be disappointed.

This is another fast-paced read. More mystery thriller than love story this time around and I loved that!! Gracie is a tough heroine and with all she's got going on in her life, I was really rooting for her all the way through. The overall premise of the series is so original and awesome, I can't wait for the third in the series to find out where Ms Cowley takes us next.
