Garbage, I can not believe people like him so well. In fact, I refuse to read any of his other works. I even had them checked out but returned them once I read "The Notebook." Gag!

I enjoyed reading this book. This book showed me about how people truly can fall out of love and then back into it. In this book it amazed me to see how much love Wilson had for his wife even after they were slowly drifting apart. This book is about a couple who have been married for thirty years but their love for each other has slowly been drifting away. Wilson wants to try and win Jane's love back, but he does not quite know how to do that. Wilson's father in law, Noah, has had an impact on how Wilson should find the love that Jane and Wilson once had. Wilson wants their marriage to be like Jane's parent's marriage is. Wilson's daughter is getting married the same weekend as Jane and his wedding anniversary, so, Wilson is desperately trying to find a way back into his wife's heart. Wilson is an estate attorney who is trying to get the love back between him and his wife. Jane is Wilson's wife. She has long black hair and is a very caring person. They have three children, Anna, 27 years old, is the oldest and is working for "Raleigh News and Observer". Joseph is 26 years old and lives in New York City. Leslie is the youngest. She is studying biology and physiology. The setting of this book is in New Bern, North Carolina. I think this book was placed in modern times, because of how this book is based off the movie "The Notebook". The people in this book seemed to have modern day jobs like the ones we have today. I would recommend this book to girls that are in 9th-12th grade. I only recommend this book to girls, because it is more of a romance book and I do not think that guys like to read about romance. I chose 9th-12th graders because I do not think that younger kids would fully understand what is going on in this book.

The Wedding is narrated by Wilson Lewis, the son-in-law of Noah and Allie Calhoun. Wilson's absentminded neglect of his relationship with his wife, Jane, comes to a head when he forgets their twenty-ninth anniversary. Her response brings Wilson to the realization that Jane may no longer be in love with him. With some help from Noah, Wilson decides to re-marry Jane in the hopes of rekindling some of the magic from early in their relationship. In this novel, Nicholas Sparks uses Noah as Wilson's help to the heart. When Anna( there daughter, Jane and Wilson), announces that she and boyfriend, Keith, going to get married in one week—on Jane and Wilson's thirtieth anniversary—Wilson finds the perfect time to display his year-long romantic efforts to win Jane back. While both Jane and Wilson support the immediacy of the wedding given Noah's unstable health, Jane is not pleased with Anna's request for a cheap wedding. Jane wants Anna to have a formal ceremony and reception—the kind of wedding she never had. Wilson helps Anna and Jane reach a compromise, and he plays a big part in pulling the wedding together. He draws on his memories of how he first married Jane as a guide to planning a wedding-to-remember for his daughter, and in the process shows Jane the man he wants to become. My Response to this book was that it had a lot of Love, caring, and romance. I really liked this book for theses reasons because you can feel the will of Wilson to change and gain his love back from Jane and I was really touched by that which makes this book great to read, i would definitely recommend this to any one.

I love this book! And I love Nicholas Sparks. He raises the standards for guys. Every girl should be treated how his books show. This is an amazing book because it takes you through a journey of a husband and wife who are having a hard time with marriage. They're also helping their daughter get ready for her wedding but the BAM it's not really her wedding. It surprised me so much but i loved it. This is one of those books that makes you never want to stop reading it until you are finished. Five star rating.

CUTE DUET. I did these on audio while traveling and don't think I gave them as much attention as they deserved. Both books are quick pleasant reads and I think anyone that takes the time to read them will be happy they did. I am looking forward to reading the text version and hope it's not too far in the future.

I liked "The Notebook" more than the sequel, "The Wedding" Created a great awareness of Alzheimers. Great author. Sweet idea, but is anyone really that sweet? Does anyone really show love like that?

i enjoyed the first book and to have a second book added to it makes it even better. ive always wanted to know what happened to these two characters in the background and how they have grown apart with the Alzheimer disease. its sad but at the same time its a addicting read something you cant put down and you have to read all the time. if i had to choose a book to read all the time it would be this book since it contains two in one i love it. this story i have read it twice when i was in 7th grade and now as a senior in high school and i enjoy it the same it doen`t get old for me in any shape or form it just makes me more in love with it.

With weddings on my mind this summer, I picked up this book with great hope. Though it did capture my attention, it did not quench my thirst on the subject. It was like only having a warm sweet juice when you're really thirsty for a cool glass of water. It was ok. Somewhat cheesy.

The Notebook is about two characters, Allie and Noah, who fall in love over the summer. Noah lives in New Bern and Allie had a summer house where she met him not too far away. After the summer, Allie returned back home and got engaged to Lon. She ended up going back to New Bern a year later when she saw an ad in the newspaper about a house being built in New Bern and remembered Noah and her love for him a year ago. She fled to New Bern telling her fiancé and her family that she was going to buy antiques for a couple days for her wedding. "I saw the article, too, and I saw your reaction. I also saw how tense you've been during the last couple of weeks, and when you said you were going shopping near the coast, I knew exactly what you meant" (Sparks 131). Her mother knew the actual reason, which was to revisit Noah, and a couple days later she went to New Bern herself and warned Allie that Lon was on his way. While in New Bern, Allie fell in love with Noah all over again reliving their past year. "There's never been another, Noah. You weren't just the first. You're the only man I've ever been with" (120). It was now up to Allie to decide if she wanted to go through with her marriage or leave Lon for her very first love, Noah. The author considers conflict, foreshadowing, and mood in The Notebook. The conflict happens when Lon comes to meet Allie in New Bern and Allie is with Noah. Allie needs to decide who she really wants to be with and make the right decision. She claims she loves them both though, which makes it difficult for her. The foreshadowing is when Allie sees an ad in the newspaper in New Bern and it's quite obvious that she will go back to New Bern to see Noah because she still loves him. The mood when Allie is with Noah is calm, soothing, and relaxing because she feels at peace when she is with him. They love each other and they love being with each other. Allie has more fun with Noah than her fiancé. She feels that Noah understands her and he is the right one for her. When they're together, it's just a loving feeling because they care so much about each other. The mood when Lon comes to see Allie in New Bern is more heartbreaking. Allie finds it hard to make a decision, and whoever she picks, the other will be hurt. Lon gets strict with Allie and wants her to go back home with him, but it's not that easy for Allie.I liked the book and thought it was really good. I really like the author's language and how he made it easy for me to picture what was going on in my head to get a better understanding. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance and love, but also mystery because it's tempting to find out who Allie picks in the end. Although, I believe that anyone could enjoy this book.

I read the Notebook a long time ago and remember being a little bit disappointed as I liked the ending in the movie better than the ending in the book. Listening to it on audiobook, I realized there were a lot more things that I liked better in the movie than the book, which is not normally the case.Overall though, the Notebook is still a sweet, romantic story. The Wedding involves Noah and Allie's daughter and son-in-law and their flailing marriage. It was also a sweet book and I saw Wilson as super sweet and romantic by the end of the book. However, it seemed somewhat unrealistic that this man who was never good at sharing his feelings or being romantic was able to change so drastically over the span of one year. It was hard for me to believe.

I really enjoyed this book. I have not read a Nicholas Sparks book yet that I did not like. As I see his ebooks go on sale I grab them now cause I usually re read his books. I had not read or was familiar with this book-a sequal to the notebook. Very thought provoking for all us that have been in a relationship for many years, and I never guessed the ending. I fell in love with Noah all over again too. a special bookOOOps I just noticed this was for the audio version-my review is for the book

the novel carries a story which seems to fall into the category of the fairy tales, men and lovers of this type definitely do not exist in reality but Nicholas sparks creates them and gives young girls ideals to dream about.somehow idea of dying together was awesome, it dint appear truthful but it was a nice one and romantic.

This book was absolutely wonderful! Took me a while to get into it but once I did I enjoyed reading it so much. The love and romance the is portrayed in this is so overwhelming, yet sweet at the same time. If you have read/seen The Notebook then you should definitely read this book, since it is the sequel.

This is a very touching story about a couple who have been together for a long time and recapturing their love and relationship - a two hankie book - very well written - you will fall in love with the characters. What can I say - another wonderful book by Nicholas Sparks - you won't be disappointed.

My absolute favorite Nicholas Sparks novel! That it has connections with The Notebook was an advantage! I think the reason I liked this story so much was, it was relatable. Married couples fall out of love all the time, and the novel delved into how these two people worked at their relationship - and benefited from it. It was a really touching story!

I've watched the movie already. Dang it! ha ha. Besides that fact, The movie made me fall in love with Nicholas Sparks' writting. I'm hoping to read all of his books by the end of 2009. New Year's resolution, baby. The book better be a million times better then the movie, though

You can't go wrong with a great Nicholas Sparks novel. The Notebook (his first novel) was my fav. The sequel to that, The Wedding is pretty good to. If you want a good "chick read" grab one of his books.

I adored this book. It made me want the same for myself as I think it would any woman who lost her husband after years of marriage. If any that were true ... this book brought me to tears because I could relate to it so much. Beautifully written ~

I actually only read "The Notebook". I found this book to be a wonderful love story and found gems of wisdom that I can use in my own marriage. There is a love scene that I found OK but I didn't want my 14 year-old daughter to read, just FYI.
