OK, I may be slightly biased because 2 of the 17 (I'm not joking, there are 17!) short stories in this book are written by me, but I can honestly say all the short stories in this book are really good!! And hey, even if it turns out you don't like any of 'em, all the royalties from this book go direct to the American Cancer Society, so your $3 is well spent :) So why don't you give it a shot for less than the cost of your daily cup of coffee for a good cause, and you might just discover a new favorite author, or get to read an awesome story by one of your already-favorite ones.A little about the book: Each short story is an add on to one of the author's current novels/series, so you get to learn more about the characters, their stories, and the backstory. It's a chance to further connect with the characters you know and love! I loved writing my two stories and I hope you enjoy reading them just as much!! Here are links to buy:Kindle: http://www.amazon.com/Furthermore-ebo...Smashwords: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...Also available in print on Amazon.com!! Enjoy!!

I signed up to be a part of this blog tour and spread the word about this book. I wanted to read it as soon as I heard of it, and when I found out the proceeds go to cancer research and support, I knew this was definitely something I wanted to be a part of. I took part in the cover reveal and release day.I received an ARC for review, but I decided to purchase it because I wanted to donate to the cause, too. There are so many people out there who have been touched by cancer in one way or another--either facing it themselves or a loved one. I am no different. Two very close, very loved family members of mine were both diagnosed with the same type of brain cancer and succumbed to the illness a little over a year after diagnosis. I was eleven when my maternal grandpa died fourteen when my mom died. My life and the lives of my family members have been irrevocably changed forever--there is no going back. I also follow Rockstar Ronan , a mother's blog about her little boy, who died from stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer. There are many days I can't bring myself to read her posts, and having children myself, I can't imagine the kind of pain she and her family have been in since the time he had been diagnosed. If you haven't visited this blog, I highly recommend that you do. The mother, Maya, has a strength and fire you rarely find in someone who has experienced a trauma such as she has, and she expresses herself so beautifully and eloquently, you feel every single day the family has endured. As for the book itself, I really loved it. Every story, every author made me want to read all of their works. As was expressed in the release day post, Furthermore consists of seventeen stories that include prequels, alternative views, and new scenes to each author's series. I own at least one book by every author who wrote for this anthology and am excited to read the novels the characters in these stories are in.The stories from The Darkness Through the Light Series penned by Rebekah Campbell made me wonder why in the world haven't I read this series already. :) I liked the characters right away and was drawn into the story quickly. If you plan on reading this anthology but haven't yet read the books in these different series, but never fear--you won't be lost nor is anything given away. I don't know how the authors did it, but they did! I read The Moon Dwellers by David Estes and will be reading The Star Dwellers soon, so I was excited to read more about Tawni and events that occurred before the start of the first book. Reading the two stories was like an answer to my wish to find out more about one of my favorite characters, Tawni, and to know what happened the day of the lottery, which was how people were chosen to live underground and escape the coming destruction to Earth, something I would never want to see come to fruition in "real" life. Eep!The Syrenka Series by Amber Garr is a must read on my tbr list with the wedding day drama and the different characters' perspectives...wow! It was a lot to take in, and I'm ready to plunge into this series head first. Eviana is intriguing, and I'm torn between feeling sadness for her and feeling sadness for the people she has hurt with her choices. Amber Garr's Leila Marx novels is also a series that I am planning on reading. I'm very interested in Leila's gift and want to learn more about her world. Karen Amanda Hooper's story, "The Sound of Love," was emotional, and in the short time I had to get to know the characters, I was so sad for them when tragedy struck. I'm happy to know this is a series, and there's more opportunity to get to know these characters and their life together.I read the stories by Stephanie Judice that are companions to her Saga of the Setti series and was taken from 1352 A.D. to the present day to the near future. I thought the story telling was clever, and it was interesting to read about the three different time periods. I thought about Game of Thrones in the beginning due to Muirne living as Torvald's slave, and teh lust he felt for her. It reminded me of the girl who was forced to marry a man she didn't love, who looked at women as property rather than as human beings. I'm ready to follow these characters into whatever situations they might find themselves in!Leigh Michael's "Fate" is divided into sections, each from a different character's point-of-view, and it was nothing short of fabulous. Reading the events that happened from different perspectives really enriched the story and gave me a deeper understanding of what was happening and the motivations of the characters. I'm looking forward to reading Annabelle's Story. To every author who contributed their time and work to this anthology, to everyone who has purchased the book, to everyone who has taken steps towards fighting this atrocity that's called cancer, and to Amber Garr, who dreamed up this idea and made it reality, I just want to say a heartfelt thank you. The existence of this disease in all its forms is absolutely unacceptable, and with everything in me I believe the proceeds from this book will definitively make a difference. Thank you.

The AnthologyFURTHERMORE features short stories from Rebekah Campbell, David Estes, Amber Garr, Karen Amanda Hooper, Stephanie Judice, Leigh Michael, and Mayandree Michel.Have you ever wondered how two characters met? How other characters felt, in a novel told from a single perspective? Or did a book end too soon, leaving you wanting more? Here is the answer to those wishes. The authors of 6 amazing YA fantasy/ magic/ supernatural books and series offer a glimpse inside the people and places that make up their 'worlds'. They sat down and created extra scenes, character backstories, and insider goodies ~ just for us.You won't find these tales anywhere else. The CauseAmber Garr, author of The Syrenka Series and The Leila Marx Novels, had a dream. She wanted to do more to arm the soldiers in the fight against cancer. This collection is the fulfillment of that dream. In the hope, of all the authors, that they can further research ~ 100% of the proceeds from FURTHERMORE will be donated to The American Cancer Society. The ReviewFrankly, I had not heard of any of these authors prior to this collection. But, being a huge fan of the genres, I looked forward to getting to know them.It was an enjoyable, if somewhat uneven, journey.I found all of the characters and places - from selkies to seers, from the distant past to the near future, from the land to the sea - to be fascinating. It was incredibly easy to lose myself in each tale. We've all read books where it feels as though the author just went through the motions, throwing words at a screen and chanting - just 25,000 more words. These aren't like that. You can just feel the writers' love, interest, and connection to their characters. However, and it may be the form - as short stories are not easy - some were definitely better written than others. I don't mean to sound harsh or pompous. But I would rather read simple words, used properly, than screech to a halt in mid-paragraph to scratch my head and think, "Well, that doesn't make any sense."Disconnects notwithstanding, I would recommend this collection to anyone - YA and older. It holds many fascinating journeys into other times, places, and worlds. (I see some new books popping onto my to-read list, very soon.)Disclosure of Material Connection: I received a complimentary copy of this book from the authors. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Since this is an Anthology, I'll be making comments about each story and my rating will be for all stories combined.SURPRISE VISITOR -Emily has never been a fan of surprises but Eric has something up his sleeve to change her mind. (The Darkness Through The Light Series)I wasn’t sure where this story was going to take me, so I was just as surprised as Emily when she walked through that door. You will be too.GETTING TO KNOW THE HEAVIES – The two Sullivan bodyguards are still human beings underneath it all. And everyone has a weakness. (The Darkness Through The Light Series)At first I thought the weakness was the cupcakes. Then I thought it was the girl. Now I think it’s a couple of different things. You tell me.This one is a puzzle and I like puzzles.PEOPLE CHANGE – When Eric asks his dad a question about his mother, it’s time to go back to where it all began and then went so badly wrong. Blame her for loving another? This one made me wonder what I’d do. How I’d feel.RIFT – Daniel encourages the group to make a detour to the Grand Canyon, as the distance between the friends begins to rival the great ravine. (The Syrenka Series)When two people have wounded hearts, one has a grudge, and another is happily oblivious, you can bet this trip won’t be boring.Something unexpected happens. This trip could heal the rift, or drive the wedge deeper. This one kept me on my toes.DISCOVERY – Leila’s first encounter with her psychic mentor is nothing short of memorable. (The Leila Marx Novels)Wherever Leila goes, she makes sure to seek out the real psychics. When she checks on this one, there’s no doubt she’s the real deal, and going to be a good friend. The psychic was so real, she made me feel right at home.HUMAN RESOURCES – Blake finds a new job while Mac finds a friend who reminds him of home. (The Leila Marx Novels)Sometimes people just find each other. When Blake walked into Mac’s store it was a perfect fit.I want to be able to do what Mac does.THE RUNAWAY- TAWNI’S STORY – After learning of her parents’ treachery, Tawni leaves home seeking to make amends for their transgressions. (The Dwellers Saga)Tawni is a brave girl. It takes guts to set out on your own. She can’t stay. Not after what she overheard from her parents. What they did was unforgivable. But she’s not walking away.“I’m running away.”“I’m.”“Running.”“Away.”I hope she can run far enough.THE LIFE LOTTERY- A STORY FROM YEAR ZERO – With the survival of the human race on the brink, there’s only one way to decide who will be saved in the underground caves: The Lottery. (Annabelle’s Story)Annabelle grapples with the discovery that she’s not completely human and is pulled into a world filled with encandanto’s, selkies, mermen and other creatures she once believed were only myths. She didn’t even know this world existed and now she has a huge role to play in it.Will these people be able to help her fulfill her destiny and keep her alive?I would love to be swept into the jetstream with Annabelle and Adrian.THE SOUND OF LOVE – Glimpse into one of Nathaniel’s previous lives and see how his soul mate reacts when tragedy strikes. (The Kindrily Series)Mary feels like it’s all her fault. Nathaniel shrugs it off as an accident, no big deal.He knows time heals all wounds.I wonder if there is a love like theirs?MUIRNE’S MELODY–To escape her master’s vile desires, Muirne flees into the snow-swept night, finding a green-eyed stranger and a mystical destiny. (Saga of the Setti Series)Can a slave find happiness in the arms of a stranger. Will she taste freedom in his arms? Or will she be his slave now?JEREMY’S HEART: Calm, cool, and complete scoundrel, Jeremy realizes the loss he’s suffered means nothing compared to true love. (Saga of the Setti Series)Jeremy has loved and lost. Will he risk it again? Does he even have a choice?I think Hannah just might have a say in this.FALL FROM GRACE: Warped by centuries of darkness, the creature Sveigja plots to capture Clara as his queen. (Saga of the Setti Series)Maybe if he can have Clara, Sveigja can walk with the light again. How many will have to die before he has her. And will he have to drag her, kicking and screaming or will she want to be his Queen? These authors couldn’t have chosen any better in these samples of their work. I want to read them all, and knowing me, I will!Five Stars!! I loved them all.

This is the first time I read an anthology. I have found them intriguing, just never came across them as much as novels. But from now on, I will always be on the look out. These six authors provided me with samples of their different flavored cakes, and I am definitely ordering the whole collection! I cannot review all the stories together. What stuck with me the most was David Estes' The Life Lottery and Stephanie Judice's Jeremy's Heart. So, I will rate them and review them independently:Surprise Visitor by Rebekah Cambell: Four Stars. This one was cute and romantic, loved the clumsiness of the main character and her sweet boyfriend. Cute and fluffy.Getting To Know The Heavies by Rebekah Cambell: Three Stars. Didn't really get what the two bodyguards do. Except that they do some dirty work for their employer. Loved the interactions between them, though.People Change by Rebekah Cambell: Three and Half Stars. This was a sad, but a very realistic story of love. And it teaches a great lesson, people do change, you cannot expect them to stay the same over time. The Runaway (Tawni's Story) by David Estes: Four Stars. Loved the writing style of the author. This definitely had me intrigued to read The Moon Dwellers, which I have a digital review copy of. Tawni is an interesting character in a horrible dystopian world. Loved her strength and courage. The Life Lottery (A Story from Year Zero) by David Estes: Five Stars. My favorite read of the whole anthology. It's such a cruel, cruel world and David Estes' writing is plain and real. I just loved this, and the end was damn spectacular.Cold Feet by Amber Garr: Three Stars. I loved Kain. Sweet and caring. But Evianna and what she does to him, not so much. This does nothing to explain the series, so I didn't see the point of it, except feeling Kain's pain.Rift by Amber Garr: Three and Half Stars. This one was rushed a little, but I appreciated the group of characters. Eviana is more like-able, but I still cannot help but think about what she did in Cold Feet. Kain is adorable as ever. I think that I will start this series sometime.Discovery by Amber Garr: Four Stars. The main character, Leila is a very resourceful but lovely young woman. Loved Amber's writing style in this story the most. Supernatural abilities, and supernatural murders? I AM IN!Human Resources by Amber Garr: Three Stars. Didn't really understand the effectiveness of this story. But Mac is funny, and the way he used his abilities to entertain was fun to read about. The Sound of Love by Karen Amanda Hooper: Four Stars. The title of this story firs perfectly, and the two characters are so believable and lovely. Nathaniel and Mary are so funny and they are like, soul mates. I cannot wait to read the book.Muirne's Melody by Stephanie Judice: Four Stars. I loved being able to read Muirne's story, definitely needed some background clear-up on that. But I loved it, and loved Muirne's character.Jeremy's Heart by Stephanie Judice: Five Stars. Ahhh "swoon" Jeremy. I am in love with the dark, sarcastic, metal-lover guy. He is pure awesome and I loved reading from his POV. This story was so cute and Stephanie Judice nailed her secondary characters.Fall From Grace by Stephanie Judice: Four Stars. I liked this, definitely needed some clearing up on Sveigja's motivations. And he was an interesting character to read about.Fate by Leigh Michael: Four Stars. This story is told in four different POVs. And I loved all four of them. Specially Blake and Lady Katherine. This story definitely intrigued me to read this series, and I might do that soon. Love mermaids and water spirits! So, now you know a little on every story, and you know that this anthology is absolutely amazing! I cannot wait to read more by the authors, all of them. You go pick this up!

Before I started reading this I was going to review each story. After I finished the book I decided that I was just going to review it as a whole and comment on the ones that stood out. After a couple of stories in the beginning I started to lose interest. It was not because they were bad stories it was because they were so short. Usually I like not knowing what's going to happen. Anyways, I stopped reading for a couple of days and came back. I don't know if I just wasn't in the reading mood that that, but when I came back, the stories were awesome. The second half of the book the stories were longer as well. I found myself getting excited and hoping that the stories never ended. I might want to mention I've only read one of the actually books in the anthology. Surprisingly I don't think there were a lot of spoilers in it. I mean I still want to read all the books. :D There was only one that I think was a big spoiler and it was at the end of the book. That being said I loved all the stories. What stories stood out the most. The Sound of love by Karen Amanda Hooper as part of the Kindrily series. Let me say I can't wait to read this series!!!!! Rapture by Stephanie Judice as part of the Saga of the Setti Series. It was very interesting to read and I want to find out more. And My favorite would be The Runaway by David Estes from the Tri-Realms. OH MY GOSH! I need to read The Moon Dwellers like now. Tawni's story left me wanting more. I couldn't stop thinking about it. And the good part is that Snyder has the book and I will be stealing it from her soon. :D Overall: I enjoyed each and every story and recommend it to anyone who likes anthologies. Even people that don't like them, I think will enjoy these. Each stories had a unique message to tell.

I have been so excited about the release of this book from the moment I heard it was being put together. What an amazing and generous idea to help the fight against cancer. I want to say thank you to each of the authors that contributed their time and stories to such a great cause. Hugs!I read Furthermore in one sitting! I was so anxious to read these short stories from some of my favorite authors and giddy to find new authors with stories I could sink my teeth into.Stephanie Judice had my blood pumping with Jeremy's heart. I had already fallen for Jeremy in the Saga of the Setti series, but reading his story gave me a more enlightened view of him. I love him even more!! Her other two stories were exciting to read as well.I am going crazy waiting for her next book!! (HURRY!) :)David Estes wrote Tawni's story and The Life Lottery- A Story from Year Zero. I have a particular interest in his story that is taken from the diary of Anna. Anna, her parents and sister Tina (*wink) are waiting to find out if their names are drawn to go underground before a meteor hits. Will they be the lucky ones to survive or will they be left to die? We get a better glimpse of how difficult the waiting and experience was for Anna and her family. Very emotional for me.The other authors, Rebekah Campbell, Amber Garr, Leigh Michel and Karen Amanda Hooper are now on my TBR list. Stories of fae, mermaids and selkies are just a taste of what you can find in these short stories. I highly recommend Furthermore in part because of how much I think everyone will enjoy reading it, but also because all the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. Help a great cause while enjoying a brilliant book!

First off, I would like to say that I truly admire everyone that stood behind this book and donated their work to the sake of charity. It's because of people like you that make this world a better place. Each of you are a light in the middle of all this darkness, the shred hope that everyone needs. I hope that more people will be inspired from this wonderful idea and maybe just maybe help you guys publish a part two!The moment I heard about the promo tour for this book, I knew I had to be a part of it! I have a personal connection to it really; I fought a battle with cancer (leukemia) and thankfully made it out alive. I was shocked when I learned ALL proceedings from this anthology will be donated to cancer research. I fully believe that with enough funding, one day a cure for cancer will be found. The second best part of this book is the AUTHORS! I had wanted to check out most of their books and this was the perfect way to get a feel for their writing. Each short story is beautifully written and ties-in with the author's previous novels/series. Every author included in this anthology have their own unique writing and storytelling styles, I guarantee there is something in it for everyone! At times I found myself a bit confused because I haven't read any of the original stories; however now after reading this collection, I what to read ALL of the books they were based from! I just wish the stories were a bit longer, but of course they wouldn't be called short stories then would they? =-PSo what are you waiting for? Go buy this book, not only does benefit a good cause but it also will let you experience the works of so many great authors!~Helena~http://icanonlybehele3.blogspot.com

Thank you to the authors for providing an ecopy of this book...Cover: It’s alright… I really like the color of the sea…*I’m going to review the book bullet style… It’s quite hard for me to form an overall impression if there were times when I liked some of the stories and times when I don’t like some of them…• I noticed that almost all of the stories talked about starting a new life, forgetting the past and moving on… This is only my opinion, I’m not really sure if this is really it…• I actually have a favorite among all the short stories though I won’t tell it ‘cause that would be mean… I like how I felt the emotion of the characters in that story… I feel sorry for them because their life had to be that way… But I was quite disappointed because the story ended… It was very short (for me!)… I would have loved to read more of it…• There was a time when I was lost because I can’t relate with that story… Maybe it’s because I haven’t read the main novel that’s why I can’t understand it…• This book made me want to read the main novels… I was really curious what happened to the characters… What happened to them after that event? Was she really lucky when that happened?• There were a lot of times when I was saying “That’s it?! Where’s the rest of the story?!” I’m telling you, some of the stories will leave you hanging on the edge…Overall:I’m sure you will love this book… Even if you haven’t read the main novels you will be enticed to buy and read them… It would not be a waste of money…. After all, you will be helping... It's for the cancer research and support…Happy Reading!!! Thank you so much!!!

Furthermore is a collection of short stories written by some great authors. The only author that I knew of when I started reading this book was Amber Garr. I enjoyed reading her story Discovery. It tells how Leila and Terez first met. Leila has been searching the city looking for a real psychic. She has meet plenty of phonies but has an immediate connection with Terez and knows she is the real deal. A nice short story for Touching Evil fans.People Change by Rebekah Campbell was probably my favorite. Dennis is telling his son Eric about the first time he meet his mother, Emily. Emily has left a long time ago and Eric still misses her and ask questions all the time. The meeting between Dennis and Emily is hilarious and ends with an emergency room visit. It is bittersweet though, knowing the outcome. I have to read more by this wonderful author.Surprise Visitor, also by Rebekah Campbell tells us the story of Eric and Emily. Eric is surprising Emily at home after she has been suspended from school. She thought she would be bored to tears but Eric has other things in mind.A wonderful anthology by some fantastic authors. All proceeds from the sell of this book go to cancer research and support. I usually don't read anthologies but this is for such a good cause. This book is well worth reading. It gives you a glimpse into the author's other books. A must read!

I feel honored and privileged to have been a part of this anthology. Not only did it allow me the opportunity to delve deeper into characters other than Gabe and Clara in the Setti series, but also a way to fight back against a disease that has touched my life too often, as I am sure it has for so many of you. A huge thank-you goes to Amber Garr for being the head of our project and for putting so much heartfelt work into making it a success. As for the stories, it is true that they vary greatly in time and place. However, I find the repeated themes of love and loss tie them together very well. There is certainly something for everyone who loves the paranormal. To my coauthors, you're all so awesome! Not only are you talented writers, but you're just plain good people. Thank you for the splendid journey!

I don't often read Anthologies. I think the stories are often too short and prefer to read a book and really get into the story. So why did I buy this anthology? Well I heard David Estest has wroten two short stories for this anthology and thought "why not give it a try"?The first few short stories where written by Rebekah Campbell. The first was a nice short story that was easily read, but the short stories after that were just plain confusing. I haven't read any of her books and I had no idea what was going on. I just felt like I missed pieces and I think these stories are more enjoyable if you hav actually read her books. The two short stories after that were written by David Estes, I have read the 3 books in the Dwellers series so far and I love this series. I loved getting to know more about Tawni and Anna. These two short stories already made it worth picking up this anthology.I actually have to say I don't remember much of the short stories after that. They didn't make a lasting impression although I do plan on reading some of the books these authors have written because I am interested in reading more of them. The last three short stories by Leigh Micheal where short stories I really enjoyed. Even though I haven't read her series yet, I enjoyed the short stories and enough explanation was given to still understand what was going on. I really am looking forward to read this series and I loved getting introduced to this world and her writing style in this way.To conclude: while I normally an not a huge fan of anthologies I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Some short stories were really confusing, but I enjoyed getting a glimpse of different stories and writing styles and I added quite some books to my to-read list thanks to reading this.

I was so excited when I got the opportunity to read this great anthology. I wasn't too familiar with the work of all the authors involved when I first started reading this book, but just knowing that David Estes was going to give me a glimpse into Tawni's life, as well as the Lottery that ultimately decided who continued living in his, The Dweller's saga, was enough to hook me.I loved even more that I was introduced to the plethora of talent that makes up this anthology and I cannot, for the life of me, understand why I haven't picked up their books before this. Now, however, they will all feature on my TBR pile and I cannot wait to get to know the characters, whom I met in this anthology, better.Even though the stories are only a few pages long, I lost myself in each. From the explosive chemistry between Jeremy and Hannah (Saga of the Setti Series), to the exciting adventure to retrieve Triton’s lost shell (Annabelle’s Story), each story offered had me wanting more…no wait, make that NEEDING more!

Loved both stories! I didn't want either one of them to end :) I love Tawni's character, she is one of my favorites. And I really like this Roan guy, I want to hear more about him.I really want a full book written on Anna and year zero, I hope David writes one soon.

I was hesitant to sign up to review FURTHERMORE, because in general I am not a huge fan of short stories. But because I enjoyed the first of Amber Garr’s Leila Marx novels, and the first book in The Kindrily series by Karen Amanda Hooper, I was eager to read this. However, several of the other stories caught my attention and I will definitely be picking up the books from those. Especially David Estes’ The Dwellers Saga.I must say I LOVED the Amber Garr stories. We get a peek into Leila’s past with Russ and when she first met Terez, and there’s another of Mac opening his shop and hiring Blake. I can’t wait to read Garr’s Syrenka series; there are two stories in this anthology about those characters and they are a couple of my favorites.Karen Amanda Hooper has a fabulous story in here about Mary and Nathaniel from a previous life that had me chuckling and smiling the whole time. This is a great collection of short stories and I definitely recommend picking it up. Even if you haven’t read any books by these authors you can get a feel for their writing style. Plus, ALL the proceeds from this anthology are donated to cancer research and support! Go pick this one up – you can’t beat reading good stories and helping out a great cause in the process.**I purchased this book, but I also received a copy from the tour host in exchange for an honest review. No incentive was offered or accepted for a favorable review or rating.
