Her passionate novellas continue to zap and sizzle thus making Ms. Dale one of my favorite writers. The Millionaire and the Girl Next Door is yet another example of witty dialogue that only Ms. Dale can spin into an amazing romantic modern day fairy tale.Sexy hunk and millionaire Jake Wescott has found a country place to settle down in. He fell in love with this land in Wyoming and he wants to build his home here, however there seems to be some concerns about his intentions from his next-door neighbors. Jake finds himself under the watchful eye of cute and spunky neighbor Christa.Christa Dunham loves her family and is willing to be a spy for them to see if the new neighbor Jake Wescott has plans to hurt their family business by stopping their hunting ground rights. Jake has purchased the ranch next door to them and now the Dunhams are concerned that the flashy city-boy might indeed have ulterior motives. However neither Jake or Christa expected to find such strong chemistry between themselves. Will family problems and their past keep them from reaching a “happily -ever-after”?This sensual tale was intriguing and catchy and kept me thoroughly entertained from start to finish. I could not put this book down once I started reading it. Her main characters, Jake and Christa, were extremely hot together and I could see the sparks that these two produced in my mind. I enjoyed her secondary characters as well and even found myself wishing to see a follow-up on Christa’s brothers and their love stories. I love that they had many insecurities, making them appear human and life-like.As with all of the books that I have read by Ms. Dale, this one also captivated the imagination and enchanted me with her creativity.Searching for a novella that will keep you smiling? Then The Millionaire and the Girl Next Door by Becca Dale is the book for you. Be prepared to firoot for these characters to have a “happily ever-after” and fall in love right along with them.

Having felt used by the greediness of many in the world, Jake wants to get away from the hustle and bustle that consumes and drains him. He decides to purchase and move to the wilderness out west in Freewill, Wyoming. It is much more appeasing with the lack of people and abundance of nature. He gets to see his property once arriving at his new destination, and sees the condemned house in need of either bulldozing or major renovation. He is successful at putting pieces back together. The skills that make him an awesome attorney are always lurking, ready to surface. He just has to know what to fix.Chris is sent to spy on the new buyer of the house next door that will either work with her family, or work against them. Irritation is not even the word for what she feels. She is not thrilled that her family did not win the bid for the house and be able to continue their legacy on the property that extended from theirs. Her brothers are interested in seeing if they can make a go of working with the new owner, or getting him to move far away, without him even knowing what hit him. There is a history of the new property Jake has obtained that he does not know about. He has been waking up from nightmares that distress him quite a bit. He is very fond of the property, but not the lady that haunts him in his dreams. There is so much going on in his nightmares that he is afraid to fall asleep. Even his dog is having a hard time sleeping, sensing the apprehension of his owner.I like this book because it was wholesome, entertaining, and passionate. It has romance, mystery, thrills, and suspense that were in all the right places. It was very captivating throughout the entire book with humor and action that kept the pages turning. It is very well written with a plot, characters, and flow that Ms. Dale put together really well, I am giving this novel 4 cups for its ability to warm, enrich, and provoke my mind and body. This story blew me away! I love the characters involved in this story, in addition to the twist that was included in the story. I am afraid to spoil this story, so I know this is a weak review!

Reviewed by CrystalBook provided by the publisher for reviewReview originally posted at Romancing the BookA little romance with a couple of ghost thrown in.Jake Westcott is a lawyer and has millions. That doesn’t matter to him anymore. He wants to be a normal man with people that like him for himself, not his money. So that’s when he notices this piece of land and it calls to him. He buys it and moves there. Nothing is better than waking up to nature and clean air.Christa Dunham is sent on a mission by her brothers to see what Jake has planned. They were going to buy the land that Jake did and they need it for their hunting lodge. Christa has abondonment issues because of her mother. She has four brothes and loves them dearly, but sometimes they can be a little too much.I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed watching Christa with her brothers and the love that they have for each other. I understand that siblings will fight but they still love each other and will help them as much as they can. The author did a great job of showing that.I also liked seeing Christa and Jake interact with each other. They would flirt and kid around. Even though this is a short story, the feelings that they have are quick and explosive. It drawled out for a while. This story had a spin on it when you have the two ghost come in the story.Jake is bound and determined to find out what happened so he will stop having these nightmares. He knows she is trying to tell him something and when I found out what happened I was shocked and surprised. So this was a pretty tame romance with paranormal mixed in. So it was sweet and exciting at the same time.I would recommend this book to anyone that just loves a sweet romance and a little paranormal activity in it. Just a story of trust and falling in love.
