For Gretchen Darrow, moving to New York was the best decision she's made. She is the new set supervisor at The Cooking Channel, a Food Network-esque network that to her surprise gives way to far too many divas and two-faced individuals. When a fire breaks out in her home because of her roommate's neglect, Gretchen is in shock and the last thing she needs is a handsome firefighter by the name of Broderick "Rick" Pellucci to ruthlessly reprimand her. So when she spots him again at her job at the network, she is less then pleased. Rick on the other hand, never did expect to bump into the beautiful blonde again, but he is happy as it gives him a chance to apologize about the way he treated her and hopefully get to know her a bit better.Insecurities (read: jealousy) build up when Rick gets the feeling that Gretchen is only after her brother Brett aka Romeo Romero (name!), the ladies man chef at The Cooking Channel. He decides to try to get his focus off of Gretchen and concentrate on his brother, who he is there to help due to some threatening calls and messages he's been getting. Unfortunately, he can't stop thinking about her and neither Gretchen about Rick. They don't seem to see that they both have interests in each other, but that gets put on hold when a dead body is found.LIME RICKY was a perfect mystery romance to curl up with. I didn't expect to love it as much as I did.

Jill Winter is one author to watch, especially with this adorable and sexy tale of murder, cooking and a sexy firefighter hero who can kiss like there is no tomorrow and loves to cuddle to boot! Gretchen lands her dream job at a Food Network like channel in NYC. She is more of an assistant to the Martha Stewart like diva, but all in all she doesn't mind. One night, her roommate cousin almost burns down their apartment from some lat night candle burning and in walks in New York's finest- firefighter Rick or Brody as his buddies and family calls him. Things don't start out too well between Rick and Gretchen. She thinks he is rude and cold and he thinks she is only interested in his famous TV chef brother. But, when these two finally come to an understanding, the sparks fly! Plus, there is a murder mystery on the side for fans who are less interested in our two main character's foreplay. Gretchen and Rick are so beyond hot but still sweet in their relationship. Also, Winters writes this very erotic elevator scene that will make you fan yourself. This romance is top notch, even though the murder plot is a little eye rolling, but overall it wasn't too corny. If you enjoy chick-lit with a "dash" of mystery and nice love play, take a chance on this story.

This was actually really good! I really liked the whole murder mystery thrown in there. I don't know how Gretchen could stand working for Susan I would have probably killed her the second day. She was so needy and just kind of weird. I don't know how Rick could even stand his brother he was such a egotistical dick head who couldn't keep it in his pants for more than two minuets. But I loved Gretchen and Rick together they were too cute and I have this soft spot for firefighters. Even though he did act like a dick when they first met but that's okay, all if forgiven! But through out the whole book I was trying to figure out who wanted to kill Brett and honestly when the whole truth came out I was wrong. I really had no idea! This was such a good book, I will defiantly have to check out other books from this author.

This book brought me out of my reading slump. Thank god for that. It was exactly what I needed. A fun, easy read with romance and even mistery. It reminded me of a telenovela, because there's always something happening and some things are really unrealistic and it seems as if everyone slept with everyone but isn't that what everbody loves about telenovelas? If you're looking for a chick lit that's a bit different from others, this could be for you.

This was an entertaining romantic suspense. The hero starts off as a jerk but, of course, gets more likable as the book goes on. It takes place in the world of cooking television and contains the personalities you would expect. It was good enough to finish, but won't make my favorites list. I remain baffled by the book's title which seems unrelated to the book.

Good book! It had me guessing on "who did it." I would never have guessed who did do it. The romance in the book was predictable, but good. Love this author! This is the 2nd book of hers I have read and enjoyed. I can't wait to read more of her stories.

Too much sex (talk/thinking/wanting/'wait so who had been sleeping with whom again?'-moments) and definitely too much going on in general, for such a short book.. A lot of unnecessary information. A long dragging sigh.

Bordering 2/3 stars.Whoah. A chick lit/mystery/romance hybrid. A quick read. Too little on the mystery and a little too much on the sex.

Sexy and definitely worth a read. Not as chilling or terrifying like Allison Brennan or Laura Griffin but a page-turner. And hot! 3/5 stars.

the story was okay. It had a good plot, an interesting who-dun-it. But I don't know why I found it okay...I usually like this sort of writing.

Not a good book. I forced myself to finish it. The book just didn't flow. I almost felt like it had been written by a highschool student. I would not recommend this book.

This book is ok, but not as good as I had hoped. The premise was good, but the execution left something to be desired. Although the desire left nothing to the imagination. Over and over again.

A chick lit/mystery hybrid. A quick read. Too short on the mystery. Too long on the sex scenes; I felt like I was reading a Harlequin romance novel! Glad I borrowed this and did not buy it.
