    The first half is mostly assemblage: cut this out, grind this, attach these parts here. A lot of the designs are what I'd call gaudy. However, the last quarter, roughly, is about forging Damascus steel and mokume-gane, and oh my goodness is it worth looking at if that's what you want to see. Techniques have come so far in the last ten years: people are sealing billets in stainless steel, under argon, and forging them that way, using powdered metal and hydraulic forging. It's amazing to see.
