Okay so I loved the first book, and I have been impatiently waiting months for this book to come out. I really wanted this book to be amazing. I just felt like there was something missing in this book. Maybe it was the fact that Dean and Evy were separated for the majority of the book and I just didn’t feel the connection… or maybe it was the fact that there was just too much going on with the whole Clay, Megan, Ryder thing. The book skipped around so much it almost got confusing and frustrating at times. Not that I didn’t already think Megan was crazy in the last book, but in this book she was all over the place. One second you think she might not be pregnant at all, the next you think she is on Dean’s side, then yet again you think she is a scheming crazy lady trying to get Dean to stay with sex. The background characters were so well developed in the last book and had their place in the plot, but in this book there was something missing with their purpose in the scenes. It just felt like they had scenes to fill the book without having a real purpose to the plot. And the ending was long but abrupt, if that makes any sense. It took forever to end because once again all the characters had to make an appearance but there was such a simple reason it all ended. I just felt let down.

The long-awaited (for me) book 2 is out and I read it in one sitting last night. It was good...picked up RIGHT where book 1 left much so in fact that I had to go back and read the last chapter of the first one to remember what was in the note, what Dean said to Evy on the phone and who Mr. Ryder was. What can I's been two months since I read the first one! But it came right back. Nice, solid sequel to the first one, but I did like the first one a lot better. There was not as much heat in this one as there was in the first one, and to me, everything wrapped up in a neat package a little too nicely without any mess. Stil a solid book and I enjoyed reading the ending to Dean and Evy's story.

Picking up from the first books Cliff hanger, Dean is in Hawaii marrying Megan! wtf! The most miserable man at the end of his pitiful ropes. Evy is suffering like mad, missing Dean and just not being able to focus. Their friends are staying supportive and patiently strong. Everyone is stretched out at their limits and its just a matter of time before their stretched out so far they may snap like a rubber band. Finally, Dean wakes the Fudge up! Gets his balls back in place and does what should have been done from the get go...put is mother lovin' foot down! This book was an awesome continutation of the first. I was so anxious for both Dean and Evy. I sooooooo loved Ben, Brooke, and Shaun in this book. They were HILARIOUSLY refreshing. I loved Brooke's nasty mouth, especially out with Evy! Such awesome, shocking, statements to repel off the unwanted gum's that are male waste of outting society! bahahahahaaa! You know the kind, I call the chicle in spanish-gum, cause once one eyeballs you he wants to stick to you the rest of the night like gum on your shoe! LMAO! I loved the tattoo'd penis debacle with Ben. I was wondering if there was truth to his statement in the first book and hot damn, Evy caught a glimpse on a impishly, embarrasing (hand caught in the cookie jar between Ben and Brooke) moment. Evy just had to look under the damned table where her brother-in-law shifted. hahahahahahahahaaaaa!! I would have to, curiosity would have just won out, although, friggin' weird b/c it was her bro-in-law. I cracked up when he saids "Told ya, you owe be fifty bucks." Shaun's shameless mouth was super funny. I wouldn't care who the Fug heard me either, if my life is on its axis shifting beneath me. Justice was served I was hollering in delight when Clay was being carted away! I was so pissed with Megan, I really wanted to reach in and throttle her, then shove her off a cliff into shark infested waters! So when her jig was up, I was cheering and screaming "FINALLY!! Thats right Dean you get her!" I was so laughing along with Dean, while she was caught on the Sybian-I finally learned the name of the damned contraption. Never knew what it was called...Hey, it bugged me, what can I say. Saw it once (spare you the details-0.0 , lol) and always wondered what it was friggin' called. I just wondered why the heck didn't Dean seek the Mayor's help in the first place? I mean, I know his life was threatened, but he could have cut to the quick of things with his friends helps. I thought how amazing this book quickly picked up off the first with no wasting of time. Great work!

After reading book one I was eager to read book two to find out what was going to happen to Evy and Dean and I have to say as I began to read book two it just didn't hold my attention as much as book one.I found myself cross at what Dean what letting happen around him, in this day and age even with imminent threats there are ways and means to not fall victim to pressures of high powered people or fight for your rights better than he did and I just found the oompf lacking in the predicament they were in. I thought for a lawyer he would have more intelligence than was portrayed to fall further and further under Clay's thumb. The character that captured me most was actually Megan, clearly that girl is one sheet short of a full bed set! But it was her bizarre personality that actually made her very readable. One of those you love to hate.I did love the comments that would fly out of Ben's mouth, him and Brook were quite entertaining.Although this book has wit in as well, I didn't find it as witty as book one, it didn't flow so well in this book. I actually can't quite put my finger on what I felt was missing this time but for me although a good read it just didn't have the finish of being able to say 'that was a great' read. These two books had the Snap and the Crackle but for me sadly they lost some of the Pop.

I don't think I've ever read a 'romance' where the hero spends the majority of the book with the 'other woman'.In this installment book 1, (which ends on a cliffhanger) and then in book 2 as well.SPOIERSThrough both erotica installments (there's no romance in either) he has sex with the ow (many detailed sex scenes, which in a romance would normally take place between the H and h)), marries the ow, goes on honeymoon with his new bride, plays possible father-to-be to his wife's unborn baby. Is being blackmailed. Spends most of the book fighting to get away from his batshit crazy wife's creepy advances and apologizing to the heroine for all the chaos. Maybe its meant to be a thriller or suspense read. There's certainly no healthy awareness of AIDS or other sexually transmitted diseases. The hero is weak, definitely not an alpha. The heroine is TSTL as she waits for him.Not much one-on-one-together time with the H and heroine. One of the oddest story lines I've read.

DNF. This book was awful to me. I couldn't even finish it, which for me is saying something because this is the first book I haven't finished in over 6 months. I barely made it through the first one, but I figured I would just keep going and stick it out. I got to them talking after they discovered the purchased house and I just had to throw in the towel. I think the story could have been so much more than it was. Disappointing, boring, not worth it. Sorry if this seems harsh, but I hardly ever even write reviews (not even for the books I love).

It was good. Just a little too far fetched for me to connect with. Parts of it I had to page back because it was so batshit crazy I couldn't keep up. I was pleased with the ending. I love a happy end. But it wasn't what I was expecting. Some parts were so crazy I was like

Part two leaves off with Dean off to marry Megan in order to ensure the future of Evy, Brooke, Ben, Shaun (well at least that his does not get worse) and Jon are safe. But can he completely leave Evy alone? She is the first woman he has ever loved, she was his future - he was suppose to be marrying her. Not this crazy twat face Megan. But Megan's father Clay is not about to let his political career be tainted with the scandal of an unwed daughter who is knocked up.The wedding scene, first is hilarious, but I could not get over how easy going Megan was about it. I would have murdered him. There is a bit of light where Megan seems to come to her senses, maybe she will let him go - convince her father to leave him alone. He is clearly in love with Avy. But soon after returning, Megan's promise to help end this flies right out the window.Dean is prepared to stop this game at all costs, but there may be a few tricks that he can use to keep anyone else from getting hurt. But Avy might have a plan of her own as well. Her's is just a bit different than Dean's plan - and it sends him into a tailspin. But now Dean has even more at stake and he needs to find any evidence that could put a stop to Clay.I think had this been one longer book rather than 2 parts I would have enjoyed it a bit more. There were still some items left unanswered that I felt mattered to the back story a bit. But overall I enjoyed this book, even when it was a bit of stretch. Megan was just as annoying in this, and a bit nuts. I loved the humor of Brooke and Ben and am excited that they will be getting their own book. There were parts that were laugh out loud funny and parts that broke your heart. Overall this was a good conclusion to part one, although we know what the future holds...we don't get to read it.

A fast read. Still can't stand characters and i have serious problems with the plot. Same issues with the first. Except the fast read part that is why i rate these two stars. Still think Kaitlyn Cross has potential. I just didn't care for the characters enough to really immerse myself in their world. Same with the plot. I had serious questions that I was waiting for explanation from the first book carry over into this book. Some things just didn't make sense.

I really liked the story and the characters in this book. This one came across to me as very very rushed. It seemed like everything was revealed in just a few pages. Of course it was more than a few pages but I would liked to have heard more about all the characters. Brooke always made me laugh out loud! I enjoyed it but wish it would have been longer or gone into a 3rd book.

Crazy drama throughout both of these books but I loved it. Sometimes it is nice to escape to a world of drama that is not your own. Plus, who doesn't love a book about a hot lawyer who falls in love with someone who bakes cupcakes for a living. It doesn't get any better than that.

This book was ok. I honestly think both books could have been one book. There was a lot of jumping around, halfway through, the POV's started changing with no rhyme or reason, which was somewhat confusing. I would have liked to see how the mayor got involved. Overall, an ok book.

Fate Interrupted book #1 left us with a jaw dropping ending and book #2 picks up right where it left off.Dean finally found his one and only with Evy and in the first book their happily ever after is shattered by Megan and her shocking news. Megan’s father is watching his every move. Dean quickly learns that if he didn’t do what was asked the ones he love will suffer. Dean will do anything and everything to protect his friends and especially Evy, even if it means not being able to be with her. Dean is hell bent on finding a way back to Evy but it is a bit harder than he thought it would be.He had come this far only to realize he couldn’t go a step further, no matter the cost. He loved Evy. Period. Nothing was worth being away from her, especially this.Evy knew of Dean’s reputation when they started dating. Although hesitant, she wasn’t able to fight her feelings for him and she was the one who ended up capturing his heart. Unexpectedly forced apart by his playboy past, Evy has no choice but to watch the one she loves be with someone else. She is devastated and broken. She realizes she has no choice but to let go and leaves the rest up to fate. Evy’s eyes gravitated back to Dean’s, taking solace in them while she could. “Is this really happening?” she whispered coldy.“I’m sorry. I should have never gone, but I didn’t know what else to do.” “Can you ever forgive me?”Dean and Evy are finally back together. Megan has agreed to speak with her father, but things continue to get complicated. With Sugar’s endanger of being shut down again. Evy has no choice but to come to an agreement with Megan’s father, one that will cost her heart. Unexpectedly, Evy breaks things off with Dean. He is shocked and heart broken. After everything they are going through and have been through he refuses to believe that she doesn’t love him anymore. Dean also refuses to let Megan’s father win. When the truth comes out and Dean has exactly what he needs to gain the upper hand, he realizes he may be too late and will have to come to terms with losing his one true love, Evy.“If you will let me, I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you.”This book kept me on edge. I found myself yelling, smiling and yes even getting a littler teary eyed. This book has a great balance of angst, suspense and romance with a bit of comedy coming from the characters but mostly from Brooke and Ben.My only complaint about this book is that I wish there was an epilogue. I have to say that Kaitlyn Cross is definitely an author to keep your eyes on. Her stories are wonderful. A job very well done by Ms. Cross

Oh thank god, I was worried there for a while that is wasn't going to work out. With everything that was going on, poor Evy thinking that the only way around all the bad things, was for her to not be with Dean. I love character of Ben, Evy's brother in law. The friendship between Dean, Jon & Shaun was fantastic again, some of the conversations they had came across so real, that their characters were so believable as if they were transcribed from real conversations.Even though I enjoyed the story immensely, I am so glad it didn't take too long to get to the happy ending. Still can't believe what people in politics think they can get away with. It just makes me question so much. Money can't buy happiness, that can only truly happen from within.Brooke, Evy's sister cracked me up. The things she comes out with is just a treasure. Her & Ben's pairing is just so special, they make you laugh but then are so supportive of each other. Stories like this just prove that there is someone in the world for everyone, it just might take time to find them but they are there.Quite a unique storyline which made it even more enjoyable. Having a look out for other novels by this author, give them a go & I will be happy even if they are half as good as this one they should still be a good read. Finally we get the HEA that all of us romantics are searching for. Without spoiling too much, all the people that do wrong get what is coming to them. Even though there are some things that probably can't be fixed, there are only good things to happen now. Dean & Evy will in my mind, be having their fantastic sex til the end of time. So hot hot hot, it really isn't funny. God I am jealous, lucky lucky Evy.

Book 2I love how a serious situation is turned into a funny dialogue of humorous lines.Evy gets to continue her relationship with Dean even though he is married to Megan.Megan promises to tell her dad she wants a divorce, but then he bought her a house.Trouble continues to brew for Dean. Dean is throwing caution to the wind. Dean is desperate to spend time with Evy that he is willing to sacrifice everyone's lives.I love Bens character and his concert shirts. First time ever I read a story where the author actually mentions bands that I listen to.The group has clever minds and are trying to think up ways to sabotage Clay and ruin his chances for election.Megan and Clay are dirty players in this game against Dean. I wish I knew what they were up to. Megan is so careless with her life and not one bit concerned how careless she is with Dean's life. Megan holds onto the belief that Dean could be the father of her baby and is not bothered to be married to a man who does not love her. She does this because she is afraid to be honest with her father. The story was great and ended just as it should have.I want to be friends with Kaitlyn. If she is anything like the character Brooke I want a friend like her who is hilarious. I love the mouth on that girl.

Absolutely love the story of Dean and Evy. What a terrific couple and boy did they go thru a lot of shit. I’m serious; they went to hell and back. You can definitely feel the love that Dean and Evy have for each other. I love the support Evy got from her sister, Brooke, and brother-in-law, Ben; both had me laughing as they’re just a hoot; and the things that Brooke says – unbelievable! Even Dean's friends, Jon and Shaun, everyone needs friends like them when you're life is spiralling out of control. A great bunch of people they all are. As for Clay and Meagan, I thought I hated them in the first book but in this one, it went to a whole new level, especially when it comes to Meagan. What a royal bitch! Let me just say that what happened to her in Hawaii was well-deserving, plus it made for a good laugh. In the end, Kaitlyn Cross delivers a well-written story about two people who truly love each other. Kudos to Ms. Cross concluding Dean and Kaitlyn’s story within two books. Perhaps this is a glitch with the ebook format, but when you reach the words “The End,” click a few pages forward as there are still a few pages to be read that are about “Ryder.”

MY HEART LOVES A HAPPY ENDING!!The second book was ready and waiting when I finished the first. The story of Dean and Evy continues in book #2 – thank GOD!! Cliffhangers make me crazy!! This is not a typical love story because of the addition of a mystery to this romantic story. There are no new characters to meet – which for this story is a good thing. But I didn’t feel either of the main characters was developed completely, and that’s easy to tell when you can’t fall in love with them. I wasn’t a fan of either character as an individual, but as a couple, their connection was cool! The reunion at the end was a bit of a letdown – sex in the car (uh . . . NO!) Once again, a quick and easy read. Three hearts for OK principal characters with cool names, GREAT secondary characters like Evy’s sister and bro-in-law and Dean’s friends, a quick dialogue driven story, a plot that was more than just “I love you”, and a BIG thank you for having the second book ready (I despise cliffhangers!!) when I finished the first.

Well, this is better than the 1st book. There are times that it got interesting to read, but then again, like the first one, at times, I just get lost while reading it. It feels like jumping from scene to scene at times.I liked that in this book there was more for the plot. I agree on a statement in a review that i read about the first book that this series should have been just one book. There was no need to have a sequel because the first book seemed incomplete. I didn't fall in love with Dean's character though. Usually for this kind of a fictional character, guys like this are easy to love. But I didn't have this connection with Dean Jacobs. As for Evy, she seems so helpless, like she did nothing to help Dean, she was so much of a damsel-in-distress and was always dependent of the people around her. Some things were missing in the characterization of the cast of this book. So, yeah, I finished it, finally.

I'm exhausted! Evy is one good woman dealing with this whole ordeal, lol. I remembered when I finished book 1, I couldn't wait to see how all this was going to play out. Dean's past of one night stands brought Megan into his life/bed and then he meets Evy and she completely captures his heart. What should be a HEA turns into a nightmare with Megan and her devious dad Clay Crawford. We start book 2 with the crazy wedding of Dean and Megan and things just keep spiraling out of control. The twist and turns were fun yet exhausting, but for all of that, it seemed to come together a little too quickly and neatly. Would have like to have seen how Dean and Evy faired after the dust settled. This story was like nothing I have read before, it was unique and creative, all in all a fun read.

The second an final book on Evy an Deans story was just as good as the first. The situation Dean has gotten himself stuck in the middle of is still ever twisting an turning. Megan is clearly a warped an mentally sick woman. She an her father Cliff an Mr. Ryder are the evil villains. Evy is shattered an scared. Brooke an Ben are still hilarious an trying to keep it together for Evy an their business Sugar's.I have to say Kaitlyn Cross is a very good author. For a debut author she's very gifted in writing an plotting out her story. I will be following an reading any more books she writes.

Well, I read the continuation of Dean, Evy & Megan's triangle. I felt kind of cheated. Evy fell apart for me in this story & was kinda whiney which was not attractive & Dean was led around by Megan (his balls showed up too late for me!) The secondary characters of Evy's sis & her hubby were actually better reading for me. Still, it was missing something. I don't know whether the story felt rushed or that the characters were underdeveloped. It still had all the heat when Dean & Evy were together, it had the laughs, but it didn't ring true to me.Sorry Kaitlyn!

I wanted to like this book and care about the characters but unfortunately it fell flat for me.During the first few chapters of Fate Interrupted 1 the characters were great, they had me laughing and caring, then it all went a bit down hill for me.I couldn't always visualise where the action was taking place and had to read back to see exactly where they were or who was talking? Also the motivation for the characters actions and responses was lacking for me. This story wasn't for me, sorry, but I'm sure there are others who would enjoy it more. x

this is the second book in the set, and what a good gripping read. i couldn't put them down, as i needed to know what would happen next with the characters. as like the first the main characters are fantastic together but the supporting characters also bring funny and sexy scenes to the book. this book is very enjoyable with good highs, lows and twists to the story. this story is a good continuation from the first book. have the third book at the ready, you'll need it.

well I thought the first book was ok, just ok, but the story had potential so I wanted to keep reading. the 2nd installment was no better than the first. very cheesy and didn't flow well at all. I was left wondering what the hell was happening at times, I'm surprised I made it to the end of the book because there was ready to give up and put the book down throughout a lot of it. not a series I would recommend

This series kind of drove me crazy....just the thought process of Dean and Evy and how they handled the situation just had me ready to scream....I was SO read to get to the happily ever after.....I feel like there is room here for a part 3 I suspect it may come, perhapes getting a look at Dean and Evy and how their lives progressed and then Jon and ....nope I won't spoil it you'll have to read it...

This is the second book in this series and while it has some funny moments, I can't truly recommend it because the (small) positives are outstripped by the negatives. My review for the first book covers this one as well, but bottom line - like many self published books, there was some promise, but also a desperate need for an editor to really pull this story together into one decent book instead of two weak ones.

Great addition to Fate Interrupted 1. I can say without a doubt, I truly hated Megan. Her father was one who took his political position for granted and Megan was a spoiled brat who thought she could destroy others lives if it benefited her. Evy held on tight. She was strong when most people would've lost it. She made tough decisions and was willing to sacrifice her future with Dean to protect the ones she loves. She is truly a compelling character and one you can identify with.

After such an explosive ending to the first book, I expected an explosive beginning, but this book was just cheesy as hell. And the whole time I'm thinking, "This guy is supposed to be a lawyer. There are so many things he could have done instead of sitting around with a 'pity me' attitude." There were a lot of funny parts, but again, they were so cliche and cheesy.
