Book number eight in the series adds some more new developments to the overarching story, and is beginning to show us the bigger picture of this world. What began in the previous volume with Wesley is deepened here, and all I can say, without spoiling the surprise, is that the plot definitely thickens. The history behind the hunting of the Omegas becomes clearer, as do some of the counter measures that were taken which may now help save the current group from a recurrence of the horrific genocide that has been going on for many years.Brody is the oldest of a group of abused Omegas that were kidnapped as children. Consequently, the damage that has been done to him, both physically and emotionally, is more severe than the others', and he has a really hard time dealing with it; to the point where he doesn’t even want an Inner Circle. Not that it matters a lot once he runs into his destined mates. It does mean Brody spends more time focusing on his new job within the Omega Network, and tries to discourage any interest in himself. Uncontrollable flare-ups of his considerable powers should help fight off any potential suitors, or so Brody believes. Add to that his opinion that he doesn’t deserve love and is a monster because he couldn't save the younger kids from suffering the same abuse he did, and his future mates have their work cut out with him.Asher and Lief are a committed pair of Betas in search of an Alpha, and both attracted to Brody. Asher is gruff and doesn’t always manage to clearly express his thoughts and feelings, but he is definitely interested in Brody. Lief is a little more eloquent, and ends up being the first to open deeper channels of communication with the reluctant Omega. I thought the "dream claiming" was an interesting twist, even if it caused more of a problem than either of the partners wants to admit. When Jaxon, a recently promoted Alpha, walks in, the group is complete, but the battle for Brody's heart has just begun. Jaxon is the perfect balance for the other three and while he knows what he wants, he is not an overbearing Alphas. I'm not sure Brody could have dealt with one of those anyway! If you're looking for a fun read with some serious background and an exploration of Omega history, if you want to know what happens next in this increasingly fascinating series, and if you enjoy reading about hot men trying to figure out how to deal with their feelings, you will probably like this book.

How come all the omegas are hysterical drama queens? No, really. Do they carry an extra large box of Kleenex for their twice an hour breakdowns? If I had to deal with someone this annoying, I'd bitchslap him till he snapped out of his own personal Telenovela.

While being upset with the way things were turning in the previous book, this has been more like a bit of redemption for me. This book is not covered in sex, and only one scene at the end portrayed with all 4 of them. Brody isn't actually mentioned or part of the story until about the middle of chapter 2. This was focused more on the bigger picture of the series and on explaining Brody's lineage and part of what that entails.I would like to see this series lose the over-drama reactions of the omegas and their guys. Usually the smallest thing is blown WAY out of proportion and made into this big huge deal that it didn't need to be. Other than than, I've enjoyed (mostly) the series so far.

Seems like I liked only the first book in the series. All others are too repetitive and simple - abused omega meets the inner circle, they talk a little about how they like/love each other (out of nowhere) and that's it.

Can't help it but I find Joyee Flynn's style of writing more and more annoying lately :-(

Oh boy, oh boy, book eight started out with an exciting Bang! Some of the revelations regarding the Omegas and the Council of old which was discussed near the end of Wesley's story, continued here but in greater detail. The beginning of this story introduces a massive change to the ruling body of wolves and reintroduces a possibly alliance with the vampires. It's very exciting!!Brody is so sweet and oh so very vulnerable. Oh, and angry, too. He really thinks he's a monster when, in actuality, that's the last thing he could ever be. Brody doesn't want an inner circle, but he has to take one so his rapidly increasing powers can be grounded. He lucks out with Jaxon, Asher and Leif. These men are exactly what Brody needs and he fulfills what they've always longed for.Definitely one of my most favorite of the series!

Seems to me that it was very anticlimactic. There was a big build up to Brody's secrets and the strength of his powers yet when he finally does mate and his powers start to settle everything is glossed over, we don't get any details on how he adjusted or anything. Many times through this book there where moments where I thought someone was going to get really angry or upsets or I dunno something but there seems to b a lot of buildup but no real major eventWhile there r many new developments to the series and paths opening to the introduction of new characters this story just seemed to b lacking something(what I couldn't tell u though, just a feeling I get) However I do look forewarn to the continuation of this series

I'll be the first to say this... I am not ashamed... I fucking loved this series... and YES I have read them before and YES I will read them again and again and again... As I stupidly made the mistake to read all 10 books over one very cold weekend and not much else.. I now have run out of knickers and coffee... so unlike Batista, I will need to go do some chores and not fuck like rabbits...There were sad moment, happy moments, WHAT THE FUCK moments and then there where those time I was thinking..... I soooo want to join them!!!! Then there where times like these; "shut up and fuck again.... We're fucking making up, no one's fucking leaving and you will fucking like it..." I laughed so hard... well you understand the need for the no knickers. The only thing holding back that beautiful 5th star... these covers ... really really... they are horrid... for the man yummyness that's inside.... we can sooo do with a better cover. So seeing that I have never reviewed this series, I will do it now... but there is just too much to add something for every book and this review is for the series. I will just say this ... each story is different, thought love, menage and wulfy goodness does span all these books... they are all just warm and fuzzy enough for me to love and love and love

I love this series. There are 11 books available right now and I have them all and there is definitely enough characters and story for more! The author takes full advantage of the fiction genre and comes up with some fanciful stories and relationships, plus there is enough angst with the Omega they each should have their own full-time psychologist, instead they have 3 hot, sexy men to help heal them.Hot - all the stories are m/m/m/m and full of angst, sex and love. The overall story line takes a big twist in #9.A fun, entertaining and sexy read.

2.5 starsI couldn't decide if I really liked this one or hated it. There were moments where I was reading the book and thinking I really liked Brody and his background was interesting but at other moments I wished the story would just end already. Since this story kind of focused on bloodlines and the omega history. The question that popped into my head the most when reading this story was how do the omega's have children? Is this series going to turn into a mpreg one or will surrogates be used so that the bloodlines don't die out?

Not as good as some of the others. The story took an unexpected left turn which I don't feel was led up to properly although you could see how it could have happened. It was like there was a book missing with certain key aspects. Brody was a little difficult to like as he just came off angry all the time.

3.5 stars. This wasn't my most favorite, but it did get the overall plot moving a bit more for the rest of the series, so I am happy with the book.

Very good addition to the series. I liked the moving on of the story with the council and the omegas.
