This book would be 5 stars + if there were cue sheets you could tear out or an online companion to print out cue sheets. But it is a GREAT book for nice easy (but NOT boring) rides around Portland. A group of us did the Historic Downtown ride last weekend, taking 2 hours to ride 8 miles (that included a substantial snack break :)). It's definitely not the book for a training ride or a rack-up-the-miles ride, but a book for having-fun-on-your-bike with everyone in your group ride -- experienced cyclist or novice.

Being a Portlander myself, having a bike commuter for a husband, both of our vehicles supporting "Share the Road" license plates; adds up to this book being a valuable asset to my family. Portland is a mecca for bike enthusiast and to provide a strategy for utilizing our Public Transportation (MAX) as a tool to reach farther areas in the Portland Metro area is brilliant. Let alone all the tips about local spots to find on our adventures! I can easily see myself keeping this in my Smart Car with my Bike strapped to the back for many new experiences.
