Book – Never Stopped Loving You (Chester Farms #1)Author – Keri FordPublication Date - December 2, 2013Type - Stand Alone SeriesGenre - RomanceRating - 4 out of 5 StarsARC provided by Carina Press via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Review This is such a cute story between a couple who never had any luck getting together in the past.  This is a heart-felt romance between two lost loves who made many mistakes during the past decade.  Running away never solves a thing and through this book, Kara realizes what is most important to her.Yeah, there were times I really wanted to smack her upside her head because of her inability to just let the past stay where it belonged and that is “in the past”.  She continually recounted the mistakes she made and based her future and her happiness around that instead of seeing what was right in front of her face.Kara comes back to Bella Warren to fix the mistakes she made in the past.  The first mistake was running away from her best friend and her brother Wade.  Kara has always had feelings for Wade but things didn't work out between them which led Kara to make one of the biggest mistakes in her life. The story continues with Kara trying to win back the hearts of the town along with putting right the mistakes of her past.  Wade doesn’t want this though – he can feel the sexual tension brewing between him and Kara and wants to take it to the next level.  Kara continually begs him off, pleading with him to work on getting their friendship back instead.Nope…doesn't work – too much has transpired between the two of them….but what happens now? Wrap Up If you are looking for a cute romance with little angst…then this is a book for you – It’s a perfect book for those snowy or rainy days wrapped up in a blanket with your E-Reader in one hand and a cup of cocoa in the other!  Snuggle up with Kara and Wade and find out if they will ever get past the past :-)

Review originally posted here:’ve read Ford in the past, and I really enjoyed her stories. The chance to read another small town romance, a favorite trope of mine, and I was all over it. However, this book started really slow for me, and unfortunately never really picked up.Kara left her hometown with a horrible reputation, a broken heart, and a mother who was off her rocker. Coming back years later, Kara worried more about getting her business started and her good reputation back. The never ending feelings she’s had for Wade is something she isn’t ready to deal with, no matter how much they push to the forefront. But the town of Bella Warren is all about holding a grudge, and Kara is going to have her work cut out for her to rebuild her image.Wade thought he was over Kara long ago, but seeing her in his home once again brings home back all those feelings. The last thing he wants is to have Kara walk out of their lives again, especially after the hurt that his sister, Whitney, and he went through the first time. But the feelings for Kara are all-consuming and Wade isn’t willing to deny what he knows could be the future he’s always dreamed of.I can’t pinpoint an exact reason why this book started so slow for me, but I had a difficult time getting into the story. I’m not sure if it’s Kara’s hesitancy toward returning home, or the extended narrative in the beginning before any action happens, but either way, it was difficult for me to get really engaged. That being said, I thought the setup of this story was super cute and had the potential to be so amazing and incredible. The romance between Wade and Kara was one of those ‘one step forward, two step back’ kind of things. Wade was constantly worried about Kara leaving again (which she proved to do time and again), while Kara was worried about what other people would say and think. She was so desperate to turn her image around that she was willing to put her whole life and feelings on hold for the approval of people who she couldn’t even stand. It was a little immature and uncalled for, especially after the strength she showed in coming back to her hometown in the first place.I really enjoyed the friendship between Kara and Whitney and Tasha. The strong bond and female friendship was a big theme throughout the book, and I enjoyed getting to see Kara and Whitney rebuild their friendship, while adding Tasha into their circle. I love getting to see strong female friendships, and think Ford really knocked that aspect out of the park for me.The town of Bella Warren was a big bone of contention for me. I’m not a big fan of small town romance books where the town plays such a negative role in the books. I tend to find more enjoyment in the books where the town is such a positive and driving influence toward good, not the bad. I found the other people in Bella Warren to be stuck in that high school mentality, and I did not like it. I hope that in future books, Ford shows the town and it’s people in a much better light.I also thought the sub-plot with Kara mother to be sad and depressing. While I completely understood why Ford went in the direction she did, I was hoping for some kind of happy resolution between Kara and her mom, or at least some kind of closure. Instead, I ended up feeling sad for both of them, as neither one really got what they wanted out of their relationship. All in all I thought the first book in the Chester Farms series was good. It wasn’t a book that kept me turning the page faster than I could read the words, but it was a cute story overall. I do like the Chester family, and would be interested to see how Whitney and Tate Chester get their happily ever after.I give Never Stopped Loving You a C.

First, thank you to Keri Ford for providing me with a copy of her book in exchange for an honest review. It was my first book from her but it won’t be my last! The author has a great way of writing her characters that I honestly feel like I know these people! She also perfectly describe the way gossip and reputation work in a small town. You can’t do anything without everybody learning about it as soon as it’s done and if you do wrong once, no matter how good you’ll be afterward it’s always going to define who you are for most people.I had a hard time relating to Kara at first. I felt bad for the way she was treated by people when she first came back to town, she screwed up when she was a teenage girl but it wasn’t that bad, it only blew out of proportion because it was in such a small town. At the same time she hurt Whitney, Wade and even John and never tried to make amend until she had no option but to come back to her hometown so she might not deserved the way the townsfolk were with her but she could have deserved a much harder welcome from Whitney and John.Whitney is definitely the most likable character of the book. She’s the girl you want as your best friend and the one you want on your side against old bitchy cheerleaders! She welcome Kara’s back with open arms and she give her a place in her business as well as in her life. She never pushed to know why Kara had such a change of behavior and even gave her blessing to Wade when he realise that is feelings for Kara are not going away.Wade was an enigma for me at first. He has a strong attraction to Kara, which is obvious from the moment she shows on the Chester’s farm doorstep but at the same time he can’t forget what she did 7 years ago. I found it strange before we knew the complete story because beside the fact that she hurt Whitney pretty bad when she turned away from her Wade was the one who dumped her. He’s so set to hate Kara and shut her out of his life that I was surprised that he gave to his attraction so easily…but boys will be boys!Lady’s this book should serve as a life lesson….scheme, particularly when it’s related to relationship never ends well! If both Wade and Kara had been honest from the start this whole mess would have never happened! I also have to say that I felt bad for John, he acted like an ass when he was younger but his feelings for Kara were genuine and my heart broke for him, I hope he’ll have his happy ending. The book contained all the hot romance that you would usually find in New Adult books and coupled with excellent writing and a great story-line. If you like NA then this is a book that you will want to pick up and dive right into!I’m looking forward to the next one in the series and I hope we’ll have a book about Whitney and Brandon the barman!

Wade, he's a typical guy, "in the past half hour he'd pi**ed her off, made her cry and now manhandled her. Or was that sexual assault?" He needs some wise words from his sister Whitney, "you didn't even fight for her. You must not want her too bad that you didn't even try arguing your point." He sometimes needs to let Kara know a few things, "if you want to slow us down, you better quit staring at my pants and look at my face. You're killing me, honey, especially this morning." And he's a looker wooo-baby! "Wade was naked. Completely naked. No towel. Not even a single sock covered his remarkable body. It was transfixing. Amazing. Wade's body was just plainly put - wow. Ripped muscles shaped his tanned body. A solid chest, flat and firm abs. The V of his pelvis and then his member. Strong, firm and jutting directly toward her." Oh yeah!!

Review will be posted .NUMBER OF HEARTS: 3REVIEW: This was an okay story for me. It was kind of a mix between a new adult and an adult book. When we start this book we learn that Kara & Wade have a past from when they were young. I past that didn’t end very well for either of them. But now Kara is back and a business partner to Wade and his sister. These two are thrown together and have to face the past, the present and the possibility of a future together. Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley & Carina Press in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.

I was gifted a copy of this book by NetGalley ... it was amazing!I fell in love with Kara immediately. She had done some things in her youth that she wasn't proud of - so she left her small country home town. Years later she returned to the Chester Farm and all of the old feelings between her and Wade came back to the surface. The chemistry between them was incredible and the words flowed flawlessly through the pages. There were laugh out loud moments and then others I had to wipe the tears away from my eyes. I loved watching Kara grow and how Wade was willing to give her all the time she needed ... whether he was happy about it or not. Whitney, Tate, and Tasha added great interactions too. I can't wait to read more by Keri Ford!

This book started off a little slow, but I quickly found myself transported to the world of small town life. Everybody knows everything about everybody else and gossip travels at the speed of light. Keri really made the town come alive, from the seemingly frozen in time grocery store to the clique of cutthroat cheerleaders.I loved the characters that were woven into this story. The family dynamics between Tate, Wade, and Whitney were honest and real. Kara is a flawed heroine and her search for happily ever after is quite the journey. Even the supporting cast of characters, including Aiden, Jana, and John have enough detail to provide a solid foundation for leads.

Keri Ford did a great job showing us that you can change your past and future all at once. Wade and Kara are a great couple who have had to work hard for their dreams to come true. That makes their happily ever all the sweeter. I really enjoyed the side characters as well. Crazy, nosy busybodies are everywhere and some really good ones live in Bella Warren! Fun read for vacation, beach or any time!

I loved the small southern setting, the farm and the business. I really struggled with everything else. And by struggled I mean WTF'd my way through the book. Maybe if the book had been a hundred pages shorter I wouldn't have felt so stabby at the end of it. As it is, the conflict was drawn out way too long. Kara's back-and-forthing and Wade's head-in-the-sand way of dealing with it really grated on me. I liked the end but felt it came a little too late.

This book is about letting go of your fears to love someone and let them know you love them. They are also trying to over come the past that they can't change. Once Kara accepts her past and not to worry about the future she can love like she wants.

this was a cute book. i didn't like how the main character was whiny and a lot wishy washy, but I loved Wade. Overall, the book was a hit and I would recommend this to others.

***4.5 out of 5 stars***Never Stopped Loving You was the first book I read by Keri Ford, but it won’t be my last. I was contacted by the author and offered a review copy with the promise of an honest review. I received my review copy through NetGalley.I loved watching Kara and Wade’s romance rekindle after being apart for 7 years. I also loved Kara reconnecting with her best friend, Whitney, and Wade’s little sister too. The reconnection with both Wade and Whitney were so important to Kara finally feeling like she belonged in Bella Warren again. While I loved watching Kara and Wade fall in love again, I think the reconnection between Kara and Whitney was every bit as important to Kara feeling like she was home again in Bella Warren. The friendship between Whitney and Kara was so true to real friends. Even after being apart for 7 years, they were able to pretty much pick up right where they left off.Kara is really a very strong character. She has completely turned her life around after making mistakes as a teen. While she is a strong character, she also is very vulnerable and I love that she talks to Wade’s mom to get centered and see who she really is now. The chemistry between Kara and Wade was there from the moment they saw each other for the first time. I really loved them as a couple and thought their chemistry only got stronger the more time they were together. I loved watching them fall in love all over again.I’m looking forward to more books from Keri Ford and her Chester Farms series. I’m also really excited there are books from her backlist I can read now. Ms. Ford writes a story filled with emotion, humor and lots of love.

I liked the story, although it all seemed a little too cliche for me. I guess I am reading too many books, because they are all starting to run together and sound the same. Kara had a crush on her BFB (any Victoria Justice fans out there?)"best friend's brother" when she was in high school. Wade doesn't see her as anything other than a little sister, until one day he doesn't. Then of course they "date" for a bit and Kara thinks she needs to play hard to get even though Wade is seeing it as she isn't as into him as he is her. So they of course break up, and Kara being the teenager that she is goes a little wild and ends up acting out majorly because she thinks making Wade jealous will get him back. Now keep in mind that none of this actually "happens" in the story, we get it all in small bits and pieces. The story takes place years later when everyone is all grown up and getting on with their lives. Kara left town when she was younger and never looked back, so when she shows up everyone has something to say about it.After time, everyone of course has something to say; and then oh there is your HEA!

Adorable cover.Adorable couple.Adorable story.I am a sucker for all things "small town life", as well as a good man in a pair of well worn jeans, so if your preference is conference calls and business suits, this one probably won't strike your romance fancy like it did mine.Ms. Ford introduces us to a couple with a past. Wade and Kara have to fight through the pain of the life they once had in Bella Warren in order to see if love will work for them a second time around. Wade is gentle with Kara, who is wishy-washy about what she wants from the start. As she should be, the girl has some serious baggage. And while Ms. Ford dishes up some swoon worth and sweetly humorous romance, I found myself having a hard time relating to Kara's fight against the reputation she left behind when she sort of was an easy target for Wade. But I guess when the passion is hot, and the jam is sweet, you don't ever want to miss out on a bite.Try it, you'll like it.I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest reviewThere are some contemporary romances that are light and fluffy and there are those that dig that little bit deeper. This was the latter.I really felt for Kara and what she had to go through, especially in respect to her relationship with her Mum and her fears that she was becoming like her. (view spoiler)[Kudos to the author for not letting Kara and her Mum get their HEA but kept it real and raw with having her mother not recognise her.(hide spoiler)] Also, in respect to worrying about her reputation. We would all love to stick our middle finger up to people and not care what they think but in reality, I am sure we would all feel much like Kara did.I loved how patient Wade was with Kara whilst also feeling his frustration and need to move forward. The Kara/Whitney friendship was another highlight. The secondary characters are all wonderful and I am looking forward to future books in the series (Whitney/bartender next please!).
