Received an ARC for reviewThe first part of this story dragged when they weren't completing the items on Claire's list. Then the second part was better cause we got to hear Justin's POV. Overall it was just okay. Nothing extra to write home about. I did really like the scenes at the reading club.

Have to tell you how pleasantly surprised by this I was. Great story telling! Felt anxious, jealous, sorry for myself, and lusty, right along with the heroine. Was worried that i wouldn't connect bc of her backstory (divorced, son in college, life as a single mom) but boy i was wrong - goes back to that great story telling. Cannot WAIT until the next book. Thankfully, that's not long. If you like steamy reads that move quickly, and swoop you along for the ride, do yourself a favor and get this one. Now!

I had a hard time getting into this book. It was a little slow to start but then I did enjoy the story. Claire wants to complete her sexual bucket list after being diagnosed with cancer. I really liked the idea behind this book and I thought the way Claire was written was realistic for someone going through what she was dealing with. I look forward to reading more by this author.*ARC received by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

ARC generously provided by publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.3.5 Healing starsClaire has spent her life being a mom. That was her only focus, she put her needs and wants on the back burner while raising her son. Now her son is off to college and it is her time to live. Right when she is ready to try to get a life she finds out she has breast cancer. Instead of focusing on the cancer and the treatment, Claire is consumed with what she has missed out on in life. Her friends are afraid she is in denial about her cancer and want her to go to a support group. While planning to attend a support group she finds herself at the Y at an erotic writers get together. She goes back week after week realizing what she is missing in her life is passion. It is at the Y that Claire meets Justin, someone is completely attracted to but she knows he is too young for her and he wouldn't see her that way. What she didn't expect was the friendship that would develop between the two and that Justin would help her find her passion by starting a Now or Never list. Justin helps Claire discover so much more about herself then she ever imagined and Claire makes Justin see that he is capable of loving someone. The version of the book I read contain both Part One and Part Two. I see that it is listed most places as two books. I will start by saying I loved Justin. Part One is mostly Claire's POV while Part Two is Justin's. I get Claire in the first one, it is not sad because Claire is willing to take her cancer head on, it is early and treatable, but what she realizes she needs more is a life, romance. Justin helps her find her passion and an erotic side to herself she didn't know she had. My problem with Claire in Part Two, Justin tries to prove himself to her over and over and she just keeps pushing him away. She doesn't want him to see her going through her cancer battle and hopes maybe they can be together after, but she never really shares this with him and just leaves him in the dark. But you have to love Justin, he does not give up easily. He is determined and he will not only steal Claires heart but yours also. This book is not only about Claire learning about her sexuality, but also learning to take chances both professional and romantically and Justin learns the same lesson.

Loved this book!! As a 40-ish year old woman myself, I found Claire's character very well written - mature especially with the health concerns she is dealing with, and yet frustrated that she didn't use her body all these years now knowing that her body is going to change & shut down in many ways. She raised her son on her own & isn't it ironic that when Max goes to college & Claire might be able to date for the first time in a decade, she has these medical concerns to worry about? Life is cruel that's for sure. Claire's best friends don't make it easy - they want her to talk about her feelings & go to breast cancer support groups. That is exactly what she does but here is where fate intervenes in a positive way - she ends up in an erotic reading group, not a support group! And Justin happens to be grabbing a cup of coffee afterwards & that is all she wrote - Justin wants to see if he can move Claire forward to live her life to the fullest before her major surgeries take away some of her sexual options. This connection between the two is definitely sexual attraction on Claire's part & it is hard for her to participate in this sexual bucket list with other men when it is really Justin she wants. And the little bit Justin shares with her shows her that Justin is certainly not the guy who would hold her hand in the hospital during chemotherapy! Claire takes the absolute best tactic & enjoys this bucket list while it lasts, enjoys Justin's company for everything he gives her. The sad part is that Justin is also attracted to her but some of his parting words are harsh, as if he is just helping fulfill her bucket list. Very harsh actually!! Again, Claire could not be more mature in that she takes the situation for what its worth & admits it was the best experience of her life. My opinion is that sometimes ignorance is bliss - wouldn't it have been better for Claire to NOT know that kind of sexual chemistry existed?? One of my favorite parts of the book is that Justin has a passion for healthy cooking & I can see how he can contribute in a way to Claire's medical issues as he teaches her about good nutrition, and in a way it is really sweet. Can't wait for the second book!

3.5 stars!I love the cover. To be exact, its the first thing that got my attention. Its unique and the font is definitely sexy. I was expecting a sexy and an adventurous story but I'm not sure about the uhmm.. the breast cancer thing. But okay, the sexual bucket list wouldn't be made if it wasn't for the cancer thing. Lol.Okay so, Claire, a 40 year old single mother, has never been laid for years because she got knocked up early and she has a treatable breast cancer. But before the surgery, she met this Justin guy who helped her made the crazy sexual bucket list.I gotta admit that the sexual-list-adventure is fun! Its like an adventure except, its all sexual. Kiss a stranger? Oral sex? Sex in public? Three-way? Anal? Etcetera. Except the lap dance, tho. Lol. I'm not sure about the f-f stuff. Hmmm, the other parts of the list were satisfying, actually. It was sexy, funny, and was something. Uhm.. except the One night stand. I knew its gonna happen with Justin and it will fuck things up.Rounding things up, when I reached the 70% mark of the story, I was quite bored. Claire became this emotional stubborn chick who pushes every guy away 'cause she doesn't want a relationship.. ever. But calls Justin the first thing in the morning 'cause she needs something from him and make the guy miserable by giving mixed signals but gives him distance. Selfish.. And now he confessed that he got laid 'cause he thought they're already moving on and now she's mad? LOL.After that, they planned to build a business together despite their attraction to each other. Its a crazy idea, to be exact. Ugh. The list is forgotten. They didn't do #8 and #9, if I'm not mistaken. I was already reaching the last few pages and I knew that they won't continue the doing the list anymore. *sigh*Then a minute later, Justin is proposing marriage despite Claire's denial to have a relationship. Uhm.. that escalated quickly. My god. The End.The writing is good although there were scenes/parts that isn't actually necessary or needed. But this needs a lot more detail and a lot more spice.

Reviewed by: MelissaClaire is a devoted single mother who consistently put her son’s needs ahead of her own; but when her son Max packs up and heads off to college she realizes she has a lot of catching up to do. Unfortunately, just when Claire is ready to start living and loving again, she is hit with a devastating diagnosis of breast cancer. While Claire believes she’s handling her situation well, her best friend Patti disagrees and urges her to join a survivor support group. Things get interesting when she unwittingly sits in on an erotic reading group where she meets the devilishly good looking Justin who takes her under his sexy wing. Together they create a “sexual bucket list” to get her out of her slump and help her make up for lost time. Can these two collaborators of sexual fantasy stay “just friends?”Logan Belle’s Now or Never struck a sensitive nerve with me. As a 40 something wife and mother of two, I often find myself last on the list. I know, I know, we’re supposed to put ourselves first so we can better care for our families, but really? I don’t know many women who can do that. As working mothers we are constantly on the go, constantly satisfying someone else’s need, but rarely our own. Unfortunately, as luck would have it, when the time comes that our little ones are grown and head off to start wonderful lives of their own, we are left behind to pick up the pieces of lives we barely remember. At this point some women find their marriages are over (and may have been for some time) or may receive a bad health diagnosis. It is here that Now or Never gains its strength. This book has a sexy and light-hearted way of showing women of a certain age (or any age really) that life is what you make it. Forget the age, the crow’s feet, the cheating husband or even the breast cancer and live in the NOW. Claire shows us the importance of fulfilling one’s dreams, desires and truths, even in the face of crisis. Now or Never got me to evaluate my own life’s journey and it was an eye opening experience. This book motivated me to start a bucket list of my own…I can only hope hubby has been taking his vitamins;)

I had this one for a while, but I'm kind of got burnt out on the "sex" themed books after dealing with all the Primula Bond and E.L. James series'. The upside to this is that Claire is not some sniveling 20-something that hasn't got a clue in her fluffy head that we often see in romance books. You know the ones I'm talking about. Those ones in the horror film that is the bubbling blonde cheerleader-type that hasn't got enough clothes on and is wearing the 6" stiletto's heels.Claire has struggled to raise a son and get him college ready as a single mom among all the other issues that a single parent has to deal with. She is middle-aged and finally in control of her self for a change. But now she is facing another reality ... the reality of her diagnosis. The debate is rather or not, to let the disease to run her life or if she should be the one running it. When Justin comes into her life, she is going in with eyes wide open. The age thing isn't really a problem and sometimes the best person to talk to is a stranger. We can see the development of the characters as touchable in reality and as they are in the emotional roller coaster they find themselves in throughout the storyline. Yes the book is heavy on the sex; it's not the only thing. It's the discovery, the journey and the choices one makes when faced with a life altering fact. I like that Claire is more mature person that is making mature decisions in regards of a subject matter that hits home for so many women these days. I would caution that you might to have the a/c on and a box of tissues at hand all during the same time. This book will have you thinking long after you have put it down.Over all I would give the book a 3.75 out of the 5 stars even with the slow start. ***Note*** I received this ARC from NetGallery for the exchange of my honest opinion of the book. Please remember that these are my own thoughts on this book.

Claire goes to the YMCA to attend a support group after having been diagnosed with breast cancer, instead she ends up at a group for erotica writers -- this is a fabulous beginning! She meets Justin, a younger man who tells her he's there attending the AA group, not because he's an alcoholic, but to pick up women. Claire is a 40 year-old, divorced woman who dedicated her whole life to raising her son Max who just left for college. She never made time for sex or herself, and now that she's ready to begin, feels that her body has betrayed her. Justin convinces Claire that before she goes through surgery, she needs to make a wish list of sexual fantasies and go through with it, ergo the "Now or Never List" is born. Now, let's get this straight, Justin doesn't plan on being part of Claire's sexual explorations, he is to be her wingman. He plans and helps with fantasies, and in the process they become friends. Now or Never is short, but what a fantastic short it is! I've previously enjoyed Logan Belle's works, but this is different, it's more a combination of contemporary fiction with erotica than straight up erotica. There is depth in Claire's story, a 40 year woman who has been a "mother" for so long she has forgotten what it is to be a woman. She comes off as a woman with real fears, doubts and lacking in confidence -- all of this resonated with me, like part of a normal stage that women go through at some point in their lives. Justin is the mystery here. The male who you want to throttle one moment, but really makes you think the next. I cannot wait to see what happens next.

The first thing that attracted me to this book was its gorgeous cover. Loved, loved, loved it! And it fit the story very well. It was a while ago since I read a book I felt this passionate about. Yes, it's that good... I think I loved it so much because it felt so real and the protagonist, Claire, a 41-year-old single mom, is so likeable. Justin, her tour guide, was different from your typical alpha hero, though, in many ways, he's definitely alpha. But he had enough quirks--sexy ones among others---and mystery to him to make him a more complex person. I loved the list Claire has to follow, keeping things very interesting. You'll see what i mean when you read this book. There's some sex in this story, just the right amount for me. The pacing and writing were both great, the prose simple and effortless, fitting the style of the story (and the great cover. )The story reminds me of the movie 9 and 1/2 weeks, but with a new take on the premise. I wonder if the author had this movie in mind to some extent when she wrote it... In any case, if you're looking for a fun, non-predictable, sexy read, I very much recommend you read this story. And especially if you, like me, miss Sex and the City and love light drama with sexy, relatable moments/characters. Can't wait for the second installment of the series coming out Jan 2014!

ARC from NetgalleyThe two main characters, Claire and Justin, have a fluke meeting. When Claire walked into the wrong group I could imagine her face, I was giggling at her embarrassment plus I wondered if I could find such a group!. When Claire and Justin start talking they find they talk about things they wouldn't with others and Claire admits she regrets hiding away for so many years and now thinks there is no hope of a relationship because of her medical predicament. With Justin's encouragement, they come up with her "sexual bucket list", all the things she wishes to try and gradually Justin helps her achieve those. The scene where he arranges a stranger is erotic. At the end of the first book there is a brief change in POV (point of view) so we are left knowing how both of the them, unlike them, and I was left egging them on, hoping they would sort it out.The story continues well through the next two books, while dealing with the difficulty of Claire's illness, her difficult work and their relationship. We also see more of Justin's side, why he is the way he is.It's an enjoyable read and I recommend it.

To be honest I am torn on this one. It isn't that this is a badly written story but it did not give that wow factor. It starts off with a bang. Claire's ends up in an Exotic reading club instead of the cancer support story. You can just imagine her shock. She seems so straight laced. While her now or never list was fun and flirty some of the choices just did not seem to fit her personality especially with someone out of the dating field for years. Finally her son is off to college and now she can call her timer her own but what happens. She is diagnosed with cancer. It just seemed a little sad you have this person who is in her prime and now has free time for herself when she is diagnosed with this disease. Yes this is a true scenario and happens at any time and at any age, just thought it brought the storyline down a little. Don't get me wrong, I would still continue to read other books by this author.

Although this book came highly recommended from some very trustworthy places, I don't quite grasp why it's considered so special and wonderful. First of all, all going Angelina Jolie, Claire, our heroine, decides to get a mastectomy due to, IRC, her carrying the cancer gene. As someone who comes from a family full of breast cancer patients I probably should have one, too, but frankly, I just can't wrap my mind around it. I don't consider myself a victim of genes, but know and actively believe that I hold the power to change my history - as I have seen again and again with people who were seriously ill. Secondly, the whole story is just boring. Not bad, but really boring and in the end just a novel who got cut into two pieces to make more money. I have the second instalment on my TBR pile, but I guess I won't read it that fast as there are some books on it that tempt me more currently. C----

I am so emotionally raw from this book.Let me start by saying that this heroine, Claire, was such a grown up. It was refreshing to read a woman that wasn't still struggling through puberty. I'll try to stay focused on the book, but that was one of the first things that attracted me to the story.Claire is a woman who has dedicated her life to her son, raising him as a single mom, and not that he's gone, she realizes that there are a few things that she's neglected. For one, her personal life. With an ominous diagnosis hanging over her head, she embarks on a journey to renewing her passion alongside a sexy and intriguing younger man. This is a series, so as I write, my mind is starting a countdown to January. The story reminded me of the reason that we read romance. This heroine’s journey to re-discovery and her courage was inspiring with a capital ‘I’. I really enjoyed the story and can’t wait for the next installment.

I got the complete set of this so this review is for both titles. This was more Claire’s story than just a straight forward romance. Claire is coming of age…a little late because of the detours her life has taken (early failed marriage, etc.) but is walloped by the ugly face of cancer. While trying to deal, she meets Justin who, mystifyingly (at least to Claire), decides to help Claire craft and explore a sexual bucket list. Steamy hot in some places, “cringey” in some but hey, I can’t say I wouldn’t do the same faced with the mortality issue as is facing Claire. Supporting characters are well-developed and some really get your goat (take that Aimee!) and I think Max deserves his own book someday soon. The HEA did feel a little too contrived with everything falling into place. Oh, but the journey…!***ARC from NetGalley in Exchange for an honest review***

I loved this book! What a nice change of pace from reading about younger women falling in love. Claire, you will find, if you are "older", is just like us. A mom who sacrificed her life for her kid and I swear she knew exactly how I feel sometimes. Some parts were hilarious, I was like really, you just didn't do that! Justin what a hotty, I couldn't decided if he had ulterior motives or not. Lots of questions there. I so want to know more about him. I hope there is more to come! I got so caught up and finished in one night .Great story!

I am a huge fan of Logan Belle's books. She always manages to create the perfect combination of sex and story. NOW OR NEVER is no different. I loved Claire and Justin together! He brings her out of her sexual shell, and he is sexy hot to boot. The sex scenes are toe-curling. But what moved me about this book was reading about Claire's vulnerability and her fears-I just connected with her so easily because she was so warm and sympathetic. I liked her immediately. Justin was such a typical guy, but he had his sweet moments. I can't wait to see what happens to Claire and Justin in book 2!

Sexy/smart/adult!Even though this is listed as a novella it's about 130 pages, so well worth the 2.99 price tag!Logan Belle does it again, writing a brilliant story full of in-depth feelings and self discovery in just a small book. You fall in love with Claire right away and start rooting for Justin in just a few chapters. You even start to understand Aimee in her twisted corporate thinking way.But what I really loved is that it's about a women! not some twenty something thinking she's a women.

I loved this book! I loved the characters and felt the character development was well enough to have you feel emotionally empathy for their Decisions in their lives. I thought it was hot when appropriate( whew!) and after surgery I think we as readers understood her feelings. I think I learned a lot about breast cancer without being preachy but vested in the character. I like how Justin was so confident and loving when he was constantly being put off and his own life had its own trials. Hooray, it made my favorites!

I loved this but I'm not sure I should rate it until I finish the series. I need the full story to decide what I think! It's one of the best pieces I've read all year, with one of the most engaging heroines. Emotional, intelligent, lots of sexual tension and backstory intrigue. If I had one quibble, it was that things moved quickly in the last couple of chapters, and in a different direction than I expected. But I can't wait to see how this development plays out with the next items on the bucket list.4.5 squees

This story packed such an emotional wallop for me and the characters felt very real. Loved that the heroine was trying to cope with her breast cancer diagnosis just as she's trying to spread her wings and make up for lost time. Also liked that the hero, while a jerk (hey, he is!), was a relatable one. He talked and acted "like a guy" - even those times when I wanted to smack him (hard) upside the head.I cannot WAIT for the next book in the series.

I don't usually read books of this nature, I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It makes you think and evaluate your own life and how many sacrifices some of us make. Claire was a brave lady indeed, I would of liked to have known whether her and Justin stayed together, how she got on with her surgery and how life treated her after it. A highly recommended read
