Parties that Wow: Setting the Stage for Creative Entertaining Reviews
Wow! This is definitely not your basic byob party book! The suggestions in this book will really make your party standout! For example, Jonathan Fong (author) suggests adding river rocks to your bathroom sink, lighting a scented candle and filling your bathtub and placing floating candles/flowers in the tub for a "quick" bathroom remodel for a party.A "novel" invitation can be made by taking a book (the example is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen) and altering two pages with an actual invitation coming out of an envelope on the page (example is shown).Lots and lots of [party] decorating ideas -- some more intricate then others; a little something for everyone.
I like the idea of a theme party, but some of these were way over the top--and surely expensive!! However, I did get some great ideas for creative invitations, and there's a recycling-themed party that I *really* want to see Tamara throw! It would be fun, and I would be happy to help...
I MIGHT throw a recycling party, but only to make Evan happy. And only after I rip out my nasty carpet. It's a good idea, but party planning is truly exhausting.
