4/4.5 Stars!! I just love a good book with witty banter and HOT sex! Here I am reading the book.....I burned lots of calories! Yay!Gabby and Braden are both lawyers. Gabby is a public defender and Braden is the assistant DA. Needless to say, they face each other in court a lot. The story is told from Gabby's POV. The scenes from the courtroom were some of my favorite. Some of the cases they tried...Does that really happen? Regardless, it gave me a good laugh. Braden and Gabby have had their eye on each other and decide to start dating. Gabby and Braden were so stinking cute together! Thankfully this book didn't have any of the juvenile drama and angst that seems to be created in a lot of books these days. There was no cheating or love triangle. Most of the plot centers around Braden and Gabby and their friends and families. Braden is the son of a senator and Gabby's dad is a high-powered CEO. Gabby starts receiving these anonymous notes threatening her to stay away from Braden. So there's sort of mystery element surrounding that. The antics that the friends went through to try to discover the person sending the notes was hilarious. A few of my other favorite things....Braden in the bedroom....Bruno....When they became mommy and daddy to Bruno....LMAO! One of my favorite scenes.Bubbe....She totally reminded me of Betty White or Estelle Getty. So vulgar. Loved her!!!Unfortunately...this book is ANOTHER series. FML! While it did end on a HFN, the mysterious note writer case remains unsolved so the gang will be back in another book. Thanks to the witty banter and HOT sex, I will definitely be checking the sequel out!!!

4,5 Attractive Stars. Gabrielle is a public defender and Braden is an assistant district attorney, which means that they face each other many times in court. And it always seems more or less like this:All their cases are completely nuts and they are always fighting against each other. Work speaking, obviously. And that would be extremely easy if they weren’t completely attracted by each other. One day they decide to “cut the crap” and start dating. And guess what? They are extremely compatible in many aspects and soon they find out they may really like each other and things get more serious. But as this happens, they find out someone REALLY don’t want them together and mysterious and threatening letters start to appear, and well, not even law can save them this time. But believe me, never trying to solve a mystery was this fun. Okay, I spend most of the time laughing. If you like completely crazy characters and set-ups, you so have to read this book! Rating:4,5 Stars. Storyline:The story per-se was not original, but the way it was developed was extremely enjoyable to read and it has some unexpected twists. It will not be possible to put this book down. Writing Style:First person, female POV. Addictive, hilarious and very well written. Character Development:The main characters are completely nuts, but in such a sweet way you will love them both. It’s almost impossible not to. The supportive characters are pretty good and basically everyone in this book is a little messed up in the head department. Steam:Melting hot! HEA: (view spoiler)[Yes. DNF at 52%. I don't usually rate or review books I DNF, but I just can't hold it in.It started out fresh and promising, and I was so eager to get to readin'! The concept is decent, the dialogue started out relatively funny and the characters were likeable (again, in the beginning). But. But, but but... Then it took a turn (view spoiler)[ around the time they decided to schedule their first-time sex for the weekend they're staying at his parents' house. YICK.(hide spoiler)].(Minor spoilers ahead!) First of all (as this is one of my biggest pet peeves in romance novels) - the feminization of male characters. Dudes are dudes. Most of them are NOT laying in bed watching Antiques Road Show and calling their lady-loves. Guys do not tell their friends "how disturbingly cute" their new relationships are. And when people start talking wedding bells and babies in relation to the the girl they've been "dating" for less than a week, dudes are not thrilled (and if they are, you should run away. Quickly.). Secondly, they're supposed to be mid-late twenties professionals?? Really? I'm in my mid-late twenties and in a professional occupation, and neither me nor my friends talk or act like the characters in this book. In the beginning of the book the characters acted their age, but by the half-way point we were firmly back in freshman-in-college land. ("That was like the coolest first date song ever." ...EVERRRRRRRRRR!!!!) Like, totally, you know?!The final nail in the coffin for me was the back-to-back (view spoiler)[encounters they had with their exes at the fundraiser gig. (hide spoiler)] I just couldn't handle it. So much obnoxiousness. So contrived. So disappointing. For me, this book just went firmly off the rails.

How Cute was this!!! I was really in the mood for something easy and cute and this one definitely fit the bill.. but it was also very sexy and absolutely hilarious.. The dialog was so witty and the additional side characters made everything twice as fun. I laughed out loud several times with tears rolling down my face... especially with little Bruno and his excessive humping.. Yep, a perfect sexy, steamy, hilarious rom com with ZERO angst! 2 lawyers on completely even playing fields, both have money, both are hilarious and group of friends that just couldn't get any better. The ending wasn't a cliffhanger, but there was an unresolved mystery concerning some, what appears to be, threatening letters to Gabby. So moving on to book 2!

Am I in the Twilight Zone? How is anyone giving this book anything above 2 stars? Everyone's reviews are saying how the first half of the book was good and then the second half was bad. No. The second half was so terrible you didn't realize how shit the first half was. This was the most contrived, foolish, unrealistic book I've read since On Dublin Street. You mean to tell me the hot guy who's sexed up half the women at his firm suddenly falls for this chick, takes her to meet his family, and falls in love with her all in the span of two dates? And this heroine is soooo freakin' hot but has all these insecurities that this Hottie McBland won't like her? Why? Because she would rather eat at a small Turkish joint than a fancy restaurant? God forbid she want to eat a damn falafel for fear he'd leave her in the cold. Someone alert the presses she's going to be lonely her entire life. Also, no one is endearing in this book. NO ONE. Not the heroine's annoying friend. Not the hero's shithead of a little brother. Not the lawyers at the office. No one. There are so many things wrong with this book. It is an utter joke. And I didn't even finish it. Once the author started heading towards the dreadfully embarrassing "mystery" road, I just rolled my eyes and turned off my Kindle. I turned OFF my Kindle. I spent half the book watching the author struggle through romance, I couldn't bear to see the same be done with an entire mystery plot. I do not recommend this book. No, it's not like Tangled. Not even close. That is an insult to the glory that is Tangled. I'm going to go read portions of Tangled to get the bad taste of this book out of my mouth.

3.75 starsI had to find a sex partner that didn’t require batteriesThis was going to be a higher rating but for the last 10%. I just felt it bordered on the ridiculous…. But for the rest of the book there were some real LOL moments. The sex was hot. There were also lots of books and bookshelves everywhere. I loved books. I also loved people who loved books.I liked that they were both, socially, on an even setting. None of the poor little girl, overcome with fear about not knowing which fork to use at the dinner table.I will probably read the next one as there were unanswered questions.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review, and I think I am about as frustrated after reading this ARC as I have ever been. I stayed up half the night to finish this book because it, quite frankly, would not let me put it down. Did I mention I’m frustrated? Extremely Frustrated! Is there a stronger word than “frustrated?” Why, you may ask? Because the book isn’t being released for three more days, I cannot share my copy with anyone, and I have NO ONE to talk to about it. Frustrated, I tell you! {shakes fists in the air}Literally from the opening scene I knew I was in for a treat. This book grabbed me immediately and virtually dared me to try to put my Kindle down. In fact, I did try. As the evening turned into the wee hours of the morning, I tried to convince myself that I should get some sleep. Not happening! I couldn’t do it. I rode it out to the final chuckle. It didn’t matter that I would have to function the next day on four hours of sleep. I would not, could not put it down.Author N.M. Silber has created characters that rival some of the best television and movie comedy ensembles I’ve ever seen. If you thought Lucy and Ethel were capable of getting into predicaments, you haven’t met Gabrielle and Jess. I can’t help thinking that the “Friends” ensemble nearly pales in comparison to what Ms. Silber has created here. In fact, if someone somewhere doesn’t pick this up and run with it as a premise for a TV sit-com or romantic comedy movie, then there’s no justice in the world. My biggest challenge in writing this review is finding enough different words to use in place of “funny.”The banter between the characters – all of the characters – is laugh-out-loud hilarious. The courtroom scenes are unpredictable and witty. The flirty scenes between Braden and Gabrielle are outrageous, but in a sexy, playful way. Even the supporting characters get in on the madness. Gabrielle tries to warn Braden that, aside from her parents, her other relatives are crazy. Well, crazy doesn’t quite cover it really. When Gabrielle’s “thirty-two-year-old cougar cousin with the big hair, the expensive manicure and the Jimmy Choos,” loudly inquires of Gabrielle if Braden is “built to scale,” I figured we had seen the evidence of crazy. Wrong! It wasn’t until her mother had to shut down a dinner table discussion from Gabrielle’s Bubbe (grandmother) about the merits of “oral attention,” that I realized this family pushes crazy beyond the pale. Oh, and trust me, Braden’s family is equally capable of dishing out their own style of irony. It is NO exaggeration to say that every single scene in this book for me was perfection. In addition to the outrageous banter between the characters, author N.M. Silber also manages to give the reader an equally pleasing dose of warm and tender romance, and some fulfilling hot and heavy passion as well. I enjoyed this book too much to even dare try to mention plot for fear of spoiling anything for the reader. Between the characters’ banter, the preposterous “fixes” that Gabrielle manages to coax her best friend Jess into, and the underlying theme of a blossoming romance that I was completely and utterly pulling for, my verdict is that there is clear and convincing evidence that “The Law of Attraction” is THE stand-out romantic comedy of 2013! I cannot wait for the sequel!N. M. Silber

And there were plenty of sexy, appreciative, erotic, even romantic, things I could have said at that moment, but instead I looked him deeply in the crotch and said, “I’m not sure that’s going to fit.”Christ on a cracker! Harvard was going down.“You two are the parents of a Chihuahua and Braeden’s talking about becoming a Jew. This is some kind of weird dream, isn’t it?”“I might do something rash?! You went to a fucking orgy dressed like the fifth member of KISS!”Sweet baby Jesus, I loved this book! It was just the right amount of hot and funny and absolutely just what I needed right now. The mystery letters and the subsequent “let’s go undercover for writing samples” plot is something I could’ve done without and is the reason I knocked off a star, but luckily that weirdness didn’t overtake the rest of the story. I recommend this one for anyone who needs something light to read between darker reads or simply wants to laugh their ass off.

OMG I just loved this book! Well, what's not to love about sparring characters and sizzling hot yet sweet smut? ;) AND I'm still laughingimage: It was so witty, smart, funny!Honestly, I haven't read such an entertaining book in quite a while. image: I love Mr. Pierce aka Braden aka Harvard and Ms. Ginsberg/Gabrielle/Yale! :D BRADEN : Marrrrrrrrrrrry me! He's hot, brilliant, an excellent and fair lawyer and charming. As he dates Gabrielle, we get to see a warm, caring and protective guy (did I mention HOT). No commitment phobia, deep-rooted suspicion of the other gender, etc. He matches Gabby quip for quip too. I loved how normal he was. image: GABBY : She could be the cliched, oblivious, KLUTZY chicklit heroine but luckily it's endearing. She's the PD (very good, of course) and makes corny jokes that I could really relate to. I like her. This book had all the comic elements : amazing parents, funny exes, crazy relatives, funny offenders..Public Defender x Prosecutor, the sparks and chemistry dont get much better than this! Obviously, it would set high expectations and rest assured - the author scores a touchdown. There are many things I genuinely appreciated in this book : the writing, sharp humour, the relatively normal and likable characters, how the ex who deflowered her ( ha! ) isn't a villain, but someone I look forward to seeing in the next book...It's unique. The courtroom scenes were the humourous bit!image: Well this book is obviously not for John Grisham fans, or those who don't possess a sense of humor. The Law of Attraction is NOT to be taken seriously from a legal POV. Litigating is not funny business and rarely are days filled with groping elderly people, druggie octogenarians, etc. Sleeping with the opposing counsel is the biggest NO-NO. Do they realize, that they need the permission of the client to represent them in cases of conflict of interest? The hours and life of public servants is very taxing, tedious and often unrewarding, leaving little room for humour or romance, leave after-work-cocktail Fridays! Also late nights, poor pay and exhaustion, overtime, ungrateful clients, corruption and did I mention the criminals?BUT! These are not complaints. The author's making light of all these boring issues doesn't affect this book, something that is rare. I enjoyed the humor and the simplicity much more than I would have enjoyed a deranged-murderer in the story. Even the suspense part and Gabby's hilarious actions made me laugh.I actually liked how young they behaved. A lot of times books have these mature, responsible adults aged what, 21? 23? 26? Mostly because they have been raising their own siblings, have a bankrupt family or some such issue. But the lawyers, medical grads etc that I know are in their mid-twenties match Gabrielle and Braden. Nice. Funny. A little innocent, a little careless. Fun-loving. I think Ms. Silber has done an excellent job with the characters. I think this is how an average person grows up. This book is for anybody and everybody who is good for a laugh and some pretty damn funny people. This book reminded me of a Julie James book (but it's pretty original). So cute. Can't wait for the sequel! :D

I chose this book because I was in dire need of laughing after my recent reads. Guided by some of the reviews, I expected the first half to be very funny (and truly, it made me laugh out loud) and the second half to be flat and average (which it was). Probably more a 3 star than 4, but I got my laughs and I loved the original way the H/h romance started, as well as their witty friends. I'll read the next one.------------------------------------------------------------------FULL SCENES: 5, hot, FM------------------------------------------------------------------GENRE/TONE: Contemporary/mixed------------------------------------------------------------------AGE OF H/h: 27-26------------------------------------------------------------------HERO:Playful, a prosecutor and ladies man, with a happy past, happy family, sexy. With heroine: sensual, honest.------------------------------------------------------------------HEROINE:Compassionate, balanced, happy. I liked her.------------------------------------------------------------------LOVE STORY PLOT:She's a public defender and he's a prosecutor that face each other almost daily in court. They're attracted to each other but she doesn't want to be involved with a player.------------------------------------------------------------------PET PEEVES FOR SOME READERS:Dirty talk------------------------------------------------------------------STANDALONE:It can be, because the cliffhanger has to do with a silly mysterious plot, and not the H/h happy ending (which they got)------------------------------------------------------------------PAGES: ebook: 242 pages------------------------------------------------------------------

*****Five funny and Enticing stars *****What a fantastic book!!! This is a must read without a doubt. I had just read a very emotional book that left me frustrated and with a massive book funk, and after ranting for about an hour on GR, a friend from this site recommendedThe Law of Attraction and as soon as I started reading it my spirits lifted and my mood got brighter.Gabrielle is a Public defender and Braden is an assistant D.A, they see each other in court everyday and are highly attracted to one another; after a night of heavy sexy flirting they strike a deal to go on three dates and get to know each other and explore the possibilities... This Romantic comedy was filled with witty banter, hilarious scenes and very hot sex, absolutely perfect combination, if you asked me...I loved all the characters; but Braden was beyond sexy, smart, handsome and a tinge possessive. I'm totally in love with his character and I want to marry him and have his fictional babies. Gabrielle was also amazing, strong female character, she has no filter when it comes to speaking her mind and I just loved her.I wish there were more books like this one out there, because they make me happy and giddy and I seriously couldn't get enough. This story ends with a happy ending but it also continues into another book and I can't freaking wait... Loved, Loved, loved!!!!

4 starsGabrielle and Braden are two laywers who start to date. But not everyone is happy these two have hooked up.I loved all the characters, I found the court cases hilarious, I loved the heroines witty sense of humour. My 4 star is because as much as I enjoyed reading this book, I wasn't feeling a deep love connection between the couple. My favourite romance books are ones like this that has me grinning from ear to ear with a good dose of hot sweaty monkey sex.I would recommend this book wholeheartedly for those who like a funny sexy feel good book.

4.5★'s - What a great, refreshing read. Someone posted that this book was being compared to Wallbanger and Tangled so I scooped it up. I can see why there are comparisons and I have to say, like those books, I was pleasantly surprised and smiling the entire time I was reading. I loved, loved, loved that there was no angst! These two people were attracted to each other, worked up a deal and then just worked as a couple. Getting to that deal was fantastic! The banter was brilliant!! I loved both characters and all of their friends. I am knocking half a ★ off because I can’t believe it didn’t wrap up at the end. I mean, it wrapped up but it isn’t over. Do I want more? Yes, of course, I really enjoyed the book, I just wish that book 2 would have been a new couple instead of dragging out the bit of suspense that was thrown in to this one. I am nervous that the angst that was missing will be put in to a second book and I like them just the way that they are. I think if you like a hot romance with a functional couple and you really enjoy smiling and laughing you should read this book.

4 "Hot and Funny" StarsThis was so funny, cute, sexy, and awesome! The writing was witty. And there was never a dull moment. As soon as I met Gabrielle I was like...She was so funny that I actually laughed out loud a couple of times. Got a few weird looks from strangers but it wouldn't be the first time that happened, right?! And Braden...I want to melt him and rub him all over my body! (too much???)Oh and let's not forget the awesome supporting cast that had me in stitches! If you need something light, funny and hot this is the book for you!Gabrielle is a public defender and Braden is a prosecutor. They often find themselves going head to head in court but they secretly would love to go head to head in the bedroom. Or upside a wall. Or on a desk. Or the floor. (basically any sturdy surface will do for these two) Gabrielle is reluctant because Braden is a known playboy. Little does she know all it would take is the right girl to reform this manwhore. After some serious flirting at a local bar with their friends there to instigate, Braden propositions Gabrielle for a hookup. When she informs him she'd need to be in a relationship because she's not a hookup kind of girl, he agrees to date her properly. And this where the fun begins!! What happens next is an awesome ride through ridiculous court cases, crazy outspoken relatives, dumpster diving and an underground sex party. My fav lines:“Yep. Now that you've announced that he's man enough to handle your mouth he’s barely looked anywhere else. He probably wants to throw you down on that table and make you see God.”“I had never seen a body like that. All of his muscles were well-defined. He was the first guy I had ever been with who had a six-pack that didn’t say Budweiser on it”“I'm not hurting you am I?” he asked, breathing heavily.“No, it's wonderful,” I gasped. “I must have a big vagina or something.”“Not big.” He laughed. “Just accommodating”“You’re staying together right?” Dad asked.“That’s okay?” Braden asked.“Oh sure! We don’t care!”“Thanks Dad,” I said dryly.“Well, I mean we care but we figure Gabby can make her own choices, and we’d rather see her sleeping with you than a bunch of cats.”“So, do you want to see baby pictures of Gabby?” Mom asked with a huge grin. “She was so cute!”“Hey! I’m still cute."“We should show him the one where she took all her clothes off at that birthday party,” my mom said to my dad with a smile.“What is wrong with you people? I finally bring a guy home and you immediately have to break out the kiddie porn?”The book ends on a soft cliffhanger. Nothing that will make you pull your hair out but you'll need to read the next book to solve the mystery. I loved it. I recommend it.

I love lawyer theme books, I don't know why. Love the cover and the reviews are raving. Ah, I'm marking it!A funny, hot, and sexy new release from N.M. So, I heard this book being compared to Tangled and Wallbanger, which are two of my all-time favorites, meaning I had to check this book out. N.M. Silber was kind enough to give me a copy for review and that is how I ended up staying up till three in the morning reading only to wake up six hours later just to finish it. This book was crazy addicting and not just because it was hilarious, which it definitely was. I don’t know if it was the witty banter, the hot scenes, or the awesome characters that had me the most captivated. Maybe it was Braden’s sexiness, after all he “had a six-pack that didn’t say Budweiser on it.” Maybe it was Gabby’s unfiltered mouth, like seriously who says that they want to have “hot sweaty monkey sex” to an incredibly hot guy on their first date? Maybe it was the sexual tension from the courtroom? To be honest, it’s really all of the above. It was unique, and not just because of the courtroom setup. The way it was written felt different, but it was most certainly enjoyable.Gabby and Braden often meet in the courtroom as she is a public defender attorney and Braden is an assistant DA. They are always on opposing sides and often times the cases are hilariously outrageous, which result in lots of sarcasm and sexual chemistry. Gabby has always had a crush on Braden who is notoriously known to be a playboy. Unknown to her, Braden has always been attracted to her. Then one night out in the bar with most of their co-workers and a little too much alcohol, everything goes out in the open. Gabby gets confident, Braden gives her the “I want you” eyes several times, and they hammer out a dating deal. Sadly this deal involves no sex till the third date (boo). But, of course, Gabby and Braden make them count anyway. Inevitably, they become boyfriend and girlfriend after like the first date. It all happened a bit too fast for me, but apparently, they were each other’s game changers. I can’t believe how quickly they jumped into meeting each other’s families. But, oh well, their families were hysterical. And by their families I mean Drew and Bubbe. The story started getting weird with the anonymous threats to Gabby, and she does NOT handle those right at all. However, it is beyond funny to see her try to get to the bottom of it herself. Well, with the help of Jess, Cam, and Mark. Honestly, the first half of the book had a different tone from the second half of the book, but I loved them equally.Gabby was a little insecure at first, but all of a sudden she becomes this lethal, feisty chick when she strikes that deal at the bar with Braden in front of all their friends. I loved her. The whole book is written from her POV. She has the worst ideas ever, but they are hysterically bad. She is not rash or impulsive, and she doesn’t care much for what others think. Which is a good thing because she word vomits like no other heroine I have ever seen. Braden *le sigh* and his power suits. I want to be in the same courtroom as him. He is dominating, sexy as hell in bed, caring, powerful, sarcastic, and arrogant. I think his change from womanizer to hopelessly devoted to Gabrielle happened way too fast in a way that seems too good to be true. But, it’s whatever, don’t burst my Braden bubble. Besides, I have absolutely no patience for psycho ex-girlfriends or cheating. I loved their close circle of friends and I loved both their families. There was even more comic relief that came from all the other characters. Even the dog that Braden gets for Gabby to “protect” her. All in all, if you’re looking for a quick laugh definitely go with this book. A lot of it is just outrageous, which makes it funny. And if you’re not laughing your head off, you’re probably sitting there fanning yourself, because boy is Braden good in bed. N.M. Silber’s debut novel makes her one of the authors to look out for. Especially since I was not warned about this cliffhanger! Well, I’m not even sure if it could be classified as a cliffhanger. Gabby and Braden definitely end up in a good, happy place. However, there were definitely lots of loose ends left, leaving me dying for the next book…""Now that you've announced that he's man enough to handle your mouth he's barely looked anywhere else. He probably wants to throw you down on that table and make you see God.""Well at least we have that in common.""See full review here http://www.romanceaddictbookblog.com/...8/15/13: Received copy for review! Gabrielle and BradenHow did I not know this was book 1 of 2? Darnit!! Full review on Fiction Vixen Book ReviewsGabrielle Ginsberg is a public defender and Braden Pierce is an ADA. The two spend a lot of time together facing off in the courtroom. Away from the courtroom their lives couldn’t be more opposite. Braden is a manwhore and Gabrielle is on a slight dating/sex draught. Gabrielle has always been attracted to Braden but she wants more than a one night stand and she has never seen him do anything but the one night stand. One night after work something brings out the feisty in Gabrielle and she gives Braden some sass. He is immediately intrigued and offers to take it away from the bar they are currently in. Gabrielle says no and that if he wants her he has to take her to dinner, take her on some real dates. She is pretty sure that will be the end of it because Braden doesn’t date. Everyone is surprised when he offers up four dates and promises to not touch her until at least the third. Once that first date happens, Braden and Gabrielle don’t look back. There are almost two parts to this book. You have the first part where Braden and Gabrielle do the mating dance. This part is sexy, fun and keeps the reader on the edge. There was sexual tension and flirty banter. The week in court between their negotiation and the first date was the best part of the book.“I have a confession. I tend to get a lot of adrenaline flowing in court,” he said in a husky voice. “When I’m in court with you, I also tend to get a lot of testosterone flowing. The combination fires up my libido like you wouldn’t believe.”“I should argue with you more often,” I replied a little breathlessly.“You argue with me all the time. We’re lawyers. And you’ve been driving me crazy for quite a while now. If we hadn’t started dating I probably would have banged half the women in this courthouse.”“I thought you had banged half the women in this courthouse.”“Okay, the other half.”Then there is everything after that first date. I still really enjoyed the rest of the book but it felt like it lost something once they hooked up. For such an admitted womanizer, Braden turned into a pussy cat. It is one thing for a rake to fall hard but he went belly up.“Oh, Gabrielle!” He groaned. “I come so hard with you.”When his friends made a bet about Braden and Gabrielle getting married, right in front of them, on only their first date, and Braden didn’t even blink…well I didn’t buy the quick transformation. They also got a dog together and Braden was referring to himself as daddy and Gabrielle as mommy. The humor of the first half of the book is still there but some of that spark and zing is lost.Ms. Silber is a former criminal defense attorney and the procedural part of the book seems to flow well. It doesn’t overwhelm the story or bog it down with boring details. The case stories she came up with are hysterical and I wonder how many of them are from real life experience. If any of them are, then I am in the wrong line of work because they are entertaining. Both Gabrielle and Braden are trust fund babies so the work they do is strictly done because they enjoy it. Their enjoyment of the cases and the arguing that comes with them really adds to the storyline. I couldn’t wait to see what they were going to tackle next. There is a minor suspense plot thrown in the book which will carry over to book 2 as the mystery was not solved. It isn’t anything dramatic or out there but something else for the H/h to have fun with. The whodunit isn’t obvious as all of their sleuthing blows up towards the end of the book. From what I can see this is her debut book. I am pretty impressed by what I have seen so far and I can’t wait until the second book is available. The Law of Attraction has some great lol moments and stars a very sweet and fun couple. Fans of Julie James should really look into this one. Final grade- BFavorite Quote:He was the first guy I had been with who had a six-pack that didn’t say Budweiser on it.and“I might do something rash?! You went to a fucking orgy dressed like the fifth member of KISS!”

3.5 HILLLLL-WAIT FOR IT-ARIOUS DIALOGUE STARSOk, when I started this book, first...like, 5 or 6 chapters were like this...and thisMy boyfriend was like:"Wtf are you reading that got you laughing so loud?" Well, this was it.They certainly made flirting the most awesome and funniest thing in the world!:)I loved Gabrielle! So quirky, crazy, upfront, sweet, honest... Braden was also cool, but Gabby felt more close. Jess, Adam, Mark and even Cam were also ...so loveable characters! Loved guys teasing each other! This must be best described lawyer bunch I've read.Objection, your honor! Loving lawyer talking! Then, things started to develop in a more typical (again) way. Relationship hung over, all pretty hearts, pink glasses and butterflies flying over this story! There was less and less funny parts, more serious love-you parts.**Then, it came the chapter about them, going to meet her family! Crazy relatives, aunts, uncles and grandma Bubbe! Now let me tell you, this was some serious funny stuff!Just imagine a cross between families from Fran Fine, Malcolm in the middle and Jerseylicious!**There was some small drama about threatening letter to Gabby, but nothing that could provide much angsty feelings. /there is a sequel though, about these letters resolving/All in all, a sweet and funny chick lit book, if you don't want anything dramatic, good choice!

Need some laughs and a hot read? This is it. Definitely sexy, HOT, funny (often LOL funny), so damn sweet at times and very entertaining with a little bit of a mystery thrown in. Between outrageous legal dramas in the courtroom there’s major eye lusting and sparks fly between Public Defender/Gabrielle (26 yrs) and Assistant District Attorney/Braden (27 yrs) as these two face each other daily in court. Love a good legal romance – those lawyers, full of quick wit and snarky banter. During a co-workers night out, with a little coaching from her roomy Jessica and a little alcohol Gabrielle gets up the courage to turn on her flirt. After a bet at the bar and some successful negotiating; it’s on between Gabrielle/Braden. Gabrielle has had a 6 month lust on for sexy Braden, but she wants more from the playboy than a hookup or dinner and a one nighter, or as she calls it “sex with a meal plan”. She wants dating, a relationship, something Mr. One Night stand just hasn’t done since college. Never fear Braden finds he wants Gabrielle just as much. Gabrielle/Braden are incredibly cute together. Just ask Braden’s friends Mark and Adam, they’ll (sarcastically) tell you the same. Both G/B have wonderful families and some wacky ass relatives that are entertaining as hell. The sex is HOT, Braden’s a dirty talker and the man is insatiable. Gabrielle is pretty, funny AND smart, their friends tons of fun.I didn’t want this one to end, but I don’t have to worry about that because there’s a bk 2 with Gabrielle/Braden called The Home Court Advantage that I’ll be devouring next. The Law of Attraction leaves G/B solidly together but with a mystery cliffhanger of sorts that gets revealed in bk 2. This bk left me with a stupid smile on my face and claiming it 4.5-5.0 stars. Can’t wait to see what’s in store in future bks for this great cast of side characters. Fun start to a new series by a new author and I can’t wait for more grins.

This book was laugh-out-loud funny, sexy, and there was even some mystery and suspense. With a book with all of these qualities, you know it’s going to be good!I LOVED Gabrielle and Braden! Gabrielle is a public defender in the city of Philadelphia. She’s funny, a little socially awkward, and independent even though she comes from wealthy family. She’s had a crush on Braden for the past couple of months, but she doesn’t want to be one-night stand to him. Braden is an assistant district attorney He’s super sexy with his blonde hair and light blue eyes, his only not so great quality: he’s a player. Gabrielle and Braden usually go against each other in the court room, but you can feel the sparks flying between these two in and out of it. Not only the protagonists funny and likeable, but so were the secondary characters. Jess, Adam, Mark, and their families were a hoot! My favorite was Bubbe, Gabrielle’s grandma. She was so crude and feisty; loved her! Also, there were some outrageous and hilarious cases in this book that added an extra comedic touch to the story (do cases like that actually happen in real life?!). Gabrielle and Braden’s banter from the beginning added to the sexual tension and felt like verbal foreplay between these two. The intimate scenes between these two were HOT and they will leave you in need of a cold shower. What I loved the most was how they didn’t let unnecessary drama and angst get in the way of their relationship. Even though the book ended on a high note there are some big questions left unanswered, which I think could have been answered in this book, but I don’t mind more Gabrielle and Braden :) (I will definitely be reading the conclusion to Gabrielle’s and Braden’s story) I strongly recommend you read this book!

I loved it!!If you liked Emma Chase's Tangled and Tara's Chocolate Lovers Series, The Law of Attraction is a treat!I had a blast reading it, and thank God I was alone (sort of), while reading it, because I just couldn't help myself and laughed my ass off! How can you not laugh when the author puts sex, wall and a horny chiwawa together in a scene?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Believe me, I'm laughing here just remembering it!Gabrielle and Braden are two lawyers that work together and they had eyes for each other for quite some time, but never actually did something about it. With their friend's help, and some alcohol too, they flirt and set up some dates. Gabby doesn't want to be another one in Braden's list, and Braden, although being a lady's man, likes Gabby enough to really try to have something serious with her.Their banter are great, and the way the author combined their relatioship with their defenses on court was very smart and funny. They super sexy and cute together. While Braden is more serious, Gabby is bit nut, and their friends are super funny and supportive of their relationship. So much that when someone starts to send Gabby anonymous notes, they agreed to do all kinds of crazy stuffs to find this person. It was so much fun!!I can't wait for the next book! I want to see if they going to marry; I want to know if Bruno (the chiwawa) is going to need mental treatment for being exposed to his mommy and daddy crazy monkey sex; and I want more from Drew (Braden's crazy brother). Actually, this Drew here, reminds me of Drew from Chocolate lovers, although no one can be THAT crazy! If you want some sexy, fun read, The Law of Attraction is a great treat! :)

I loved this book so much! I laughed out loud so many times and I fell in love with Gabrielle and Braden. They are one the best couples I have ever seen in a romance novel. They are cute and hot at the same time. I loved watching them fall in love and I liked the fact that they didn't cheat on each other or fight all the time. I don't mind that the book ended in a cliffhanger because it was just about the mystery in the book not about their relationship, although I'm dying to know who wrote the notes! I'm looking to the next one. I'm am definitely a fan.

It was very sexy/hot!At the end..When I read the blurb to this book, I was a bit hesitant to read it. I had this irrational fear that it would be like reading an episode of Law and Order.. it so wasn't! This book was AMAZING! It was funny, snarky, sexy, and everything in between. It was well written and definitely entertaining. I totally loved Braden and Gabby's story and will probably reread this book again, that's how good it was. I also loved that some of the chapter headings were court cases, and the actual court cases were very comical. I highly recommend this to any romance fan! You'll swoon and laugh so hard!

This book is nuts. The pacing, the characters, the dialogues, everything. And I kind of loved it? I wasn't sure if I was supposed to dislike it because I was too busy laughing my ass off to figure it out.Let me state something. This book has no cheating, no slut-shaming, no alpha male bullshit, no dumb misunderstandings, no dubious consent, or any of the things that usually make these kinds of books not okay. But it is nuts. Gabrielle and Braden don't really miss most steps on their relationship, they just go through them really, really fast. And, for a person who usually likes a slow build up and a little bit of the right kind of angst, it felt good. Gabby and Braden are that couple that have been happily married for forty years and you ask them how they did it, and he answers, "After the first date, I just knew." And then they smile stupidly at each other like they remember it like it was yesterday. It has never made sense to me, until I read this book. Braden and Gabrielle are fun, sexy and healthy. They communicate. They treat each other with dignity. They meet each other halfway, they are equals. They are that couple of friends that you can't stand because they are not honeymoon sappy, just happy. They are consistent. The rest is equally good. The secondary characters are the perfect toppings, and the humor is the chocolate on top (why would anyone want to mix a cherry with their dessert?). There is also a light layer of plot and mystery over it all to keep it together. Basically, this is the book equivalent of an unicorn for me. Rumor has it they exist, and you're pretty sure they don't, but you still find yourself your whole life daydreaming and talking about them. Yet when you find one, it's not exactly how you expected it to be and it obviously doesn't agree with your usual rules of how animals should be. However, at the end of the day you can't help but love it because, you know, IT'S A BLOODY UNICORN.Or that's how I imagine meeting an unicorn would be like. If I ever happen to come across one, I'll let you know. The only reason I'm not giving this book five stars is because I hate dirty talk during sex, and let's just say Braden talks a lot. Seriously, hate it. But I know that's just me.

I was fortunate to be one of Ms. Silber's beta readers and was given the book for free in exchange for an honest review. This is truly a great read and one that impressed me from the very beginning as it was extremely well written. Hard to believe that this is Ms. Silber's debut book. The characters were very easy to get to know and fall for. Reading this story made me feel like I was watching this unfold, not just reading it. I felt like I was in the story and had a front row seat! Loved just how romantic Braden and Gabrielle are -- especially Braden. It was very sweet to read. They had heat, which was nice to read, but it wasn't over the top. Ms. Silber has left me anxious to see how things progress between the two. Also loved moments with the friends -- it was great to see the interactions and how much fun everyone had. Gabrielle's family still has be laughing. Her grandmother, Aunt Ruth/Uncle Ira -- some serious LOL moments there. The fact that this book revolved around two lawyers was not an issue when following them to work. In fact, those had just as many LOL moments as the rest of the book -- occasionally more. Especially as their relationship progressed. Gabrielle's voice and method of thinking was so easy for me to relate to, but also allowed me to laugh (her thought processes or how she reacted to things). We followed Braden as he grew as a man, evident as I read throughout the story, but especially at the end. I'm so excited for this release and the next installment. I may have squealed when I read that it should be out in November ;)

I so loved this book so much. It was the funniest, enjoyable romance ever, I so loved all the character so much, especially Gabrielle and Braden. Such a great couple they were. It also concluded with all their close working friends, and two of them are infant crazed in love with them. I can't wait to read the second book. Such a sweet romance, with a lot of crazed people here and there!

Abandoned at 67% as I couldn't stick it any more! This has been compared to Tangled by a few reviewers, but it is in no way nearly as funny as Tangled was.It started off good for me. The courtroom scenes between public prosecutor, Braden, and public defender, Gabrielle, were quite funny. But then they just got silly. Gabrielle's "amusing" defences along with Braden's "trying to stifle laughter" got boring about five cases in.When Braden and Gabrielle decided to start dating, it was all forced and unromantic. When they were at dinner (their first date!) openly discussing their sex lives, and what they were into, was beyond unrealistic to me. Even the way Braden discussed his previous encounters was crude and insensitive towards Gabrielle (even though she didn't seem to care!). During sex he was telling Gabrielle that "I've never fucked anyone else who felt this good", or something to that effect. Lovely. Just what every woman wants to hear. Also, Braden's brother, Drew, was not funny - just completely creepy, immature and inappropriate. I don't know if he had a role in the rest of the story beyond being annoying, but if he was there for comic relief, it didn't work.I jumped ship when they were making a HUGE deal about ONE NOTE Gabrielle received, telling her to stay away from Braden. ONE NOTE, and she'd called in the cavalry to follow about four different suspects, including one to an exclusive sex club. Trying to sex up the book are we?!I've heard there's a cliffhanger, which I'm sure is beyond exciting, but this is the end of the road for me!I've given it two stars as it started off promising, but ultimately failed to deliver.

I am still laughing at the hilarious antics that rule this story of lawyer love by new to me author N.M. Silber. The Law of Attraction tells the story of a prosecutor Braden and a public defender Gabrielle who have been meeting across the courtroom for six months. He is a bit of a player and she isn't. The attraction is there but she informs him that she wants more than “...a one nighter with a meal plan.” Braden meets her challenge and they start to date. But someone isn't happy about that and starts sending threatening notes to Gabrielle. Can their fledgling relationship withstand the heat of their attraction, the craziness of the courts system, interfering friends and nutso relatives? This book is laugh out loud funny. Fans of Janet Evanovich will get a kick out of this book. There is sweetness and steam and a whole lot of I Love Lucy moments. I cannot wait for the conclusion in The Home Court Advantage. I would very much like to thank the author and publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

4.5 stars!!I really liked this book! It was funny, sweet and sexy. The sex was HOT!! Braden and Gabrielle are both lawyers working on opposite sides, Braden is with the prosecution and Gabrielle for the defense. They know each other from court but their friends (who are also lawyers) help them get together. I smiled a lot and laughed out loud! A definite recommend. There is a cliffie at the end as all things are not solved but not harsh. So I look forward to book 2 and hopefully I don't have to wait too long.
