Great MM readWell I have to say I was a little shocked, I guess I didn’t read very well, as I wasn’t aware that this was a MM supernatural read. This is only the second MM book I have ever read and I do have to say it wasn’t bad at all, I do love my shifters and vampires. And I do look forward to reading the rest of the series.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. What can I say? This story was hot! We got to see some more of Logan and Dylan, met Liam and Bartek, and got one hell of a story! I can’t wait to see what goes down with the vampires and how Bartek exacts his revenge! I want his revenge to be epic! I wanted to make this review longer but I didn’t want to let too much out of the bag. I can’t wait for the next story, though!

4.25The Black Aggie legend underlying this story intrigued me. I've never lived on the MD coast so wasn't familiar with Black Aggie so that definitely piqued my interest. I also liked how the series progresses from the first book (The Moon's Dirty Light), which focuses primarily on shifters. In this story, we get to spend more face time with other paranormals populating this world, too. Fun and smexy.

This is the second book in The Werewolves of Baltimore Series. A fascinating book the writing was good. There were a couple of grammar issues though. As with the first book there is detail that is missing to take the story to the next level. And the deaths are like an afterthought with the conclusion being too easy. The first sex scene had no buildup it was like on first meeting someone you say hi and stop right there and have sex on the spot. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters interesting The characters were developed and thought out. Liam is a human and Bartek is a vampire and they are the MC’s of this book. There was humor, wolves, vampires, a wedding, mates, deaths, Black Aggie, shocking surprises and so much more in this book. I did enjoy reading this story it just needed more. Here is a quote from the book, “Heard a kid died last night at Druid Ridge Cemetery, Van Zandt.” … “Yeah, just got the ME’s report.” “Let me guess: crushed to death?” Steve said. Liam’s blue eyes widened with astonishment. He stared, speechless, but nodded. How had Brooks known about that? “Black Aggie strikes again.” Steve’s voice, though quiet had an ominous quality. “Good luck on closing that one.” And walked away without a backward glance.”. There is more but you will need to read the book which I can. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

This is the first book in this series that I have read. It was an amazing book and I believe that I am going to enjoy this series tremendously. There was mystery. There was danger. There is vampires and shifters. And then there was the biggest twist that I did not see coming.Liam is a detective and he lands a case that is beyond disturbing. He believes in paranormal, I mean how could he not when his best friend is a werewolf. But to have a A ghost actually murdering people, thatbis just beyond his knowledge and grasp. That is why he seeks help with Bartek.Bartek is a vampire who has lived many years. So he knows many of the legends including he one that Liam is now investigating. The thing is, Liam does not know as of yet that Bartek is a vampire. As the case heats up, Bartek and Liam grow closer. But Bartek has not revealed who is as of yet and the truth comes out in the most inconvenient time. Can two men with so much strangeness between them along with so much danger and even the unknown danger that is still lurking, can they navigate the waters together or will something or someone pull them apart before they ever truly get started. This was such an incredible read. It sucks you in and keeps you there till the very end. I truly enjoyed this book and I look forward to the next book in this series when it comes out.Was given this galley copy for free for an open and honest review

3.5 starsSo there were a couple of things in this book that I just didn’t understand. Why would Cedric create a weapon that can so easily be used against him and completely remove him from any kind of power or influence? And what could his end goal be? Does the serum prevent someone inoculated from ever becoming a vampire again? If not, even as a threat, it doesn’t seem to be particularly effective. If so, I can see it scaring some vampires into submission, but since it doesn’t prevent other paranormal changes, you just end up with a few people on your side and pretty must EVERYONE else in the paranormal community out to eradicate you and yours.Overall, it seemed to be a particularly poorly thought out evil scheme, and how is Bartek their guinea pig if they aren’t even paying attention to him, or watching him, to see if the thing actually worked - and to see if Bartek is going to cause them any trouble in the future?

Story hit all my buttons, action, hot intense men, complex characters, passionate moments, intriguing story-line and great supporting characters. So many twists and turns in this story, i could not put it down! Wow, i was hooked from page one and read this book instead of working, i was a very bad girl and a very happy one! The connection between Liam and Bartek sizzled in a really compelling way. A deep personal, soulmate kinda of connection. As the reader i felt their pain and their passion. I reveled in their love and was hurt with their pain. Catching up with Logan and Dylan was delightful, their interactions are just a great as they were the first time! i had read the first book a couple of years ago, so i went back and re-read it after i read this one. Such a great journey to enjoy with this series! Beneath the 13th Moon is so so very good! Treat yourself today! I received an ARC at no cost from the author

Well my earlier review was wrong and I tried to find a way to edit and it would not let me. So I first must apologize for the bad review and say to be honest I was surprised in the way the story ended. I never read a book were the reader is taken by surprise by the reversal of roles like this one from a vampire to a werewolf just to save and keep the love of the two guys had for each other. The first part of the book was like I said earlier confusing and pretty boring but after the incident with the vampire being turn to human the story seem to take new life and I look forward to book 3 if there is one

So far not as impressed as the first book the storyline not laid out to well for an example one minute they are running upstairs and then all sudden you are a party for a wedding and the characters at the party was not explained at all who they were and really what was said was not enough to peak my interest there was no bill up to the wedding party. This book I finding very hard to read. The first book I could not set down and yes I wrote some criticism on it but they were very mild compared this book.

Witches, werewolves and vampires.... oh, my! Well a bit of witches in a round about way but vampires and werewolves are the main part of this story. The author does a great job creating the characters and the story line. It is very easy to get into and reads very well. I can't wait for the next chapter, as I am sure this story will be continued....

Love this second book in this wonderful series. Great storyline that had hooked all the way through. Liam and Bartek are great characters with spectacular chemistry. Unexpected twists in the story kept me on the edge of my seat. Loved seeing Logan and Dylan from book 1 pop up in this one. Can't wait for the next book in this series.I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

1.5 starsThis was so dumb. I actual don't find hazing funny at all, and the example was horribly mean. Wow, a lot of cliches: "can see writing on the wall," "last one is a rotten egg," "Denial isn't just a river in Egypt." Every other sentence is the vampire judging arousal or attractiveness or judging the love interest, and it's getting tedious and really interrupting the storyline. The sentences should be grouped so you can read some judgmental stuff, and then some plot. At this stage of the game, when it isn't fated mates, and the guy's there for a serious reason, and this is supposed to have a plot, it's too much. I hate when there isn't any attraction at first, but this is just annoying. I'm disappointed this isn't going well so far because I really liked the first book as far as I can remember. I don't know why him telling the guy what just one word meant was so awful because it would for sure get him involved. He could have told him then feigned ignorance on anything else. Why is he so close minded?! He knows the supernatural exists. He grabbed a woman he was trying to interview. Good job there. Domestic violence is never okay, even from the physically weaker to the stronger. They make it sound like they've been together for a while, but just that day, he told the captain what he accomplished which is what he'd done before they ever even touched. (Well that sentence made sense to me.)Age gap. (view spoiler)[Couldn't he just be bitten again? Why this doomsday stuff before they even investigated that option? (hide spoiler)]It was good that Bartek's stress was talked about, but emotions other than his rejection weren't talked about, didn't exist, or lasted like a minute. They didn't exhaust all the research to fix his problem, didn't confront the bad guys, didn't even talk about them except they'd done this bad thing. No talk about how the bad guys could do it to others. The mystery wasn't a mystery and was resolved easily. The only good was that there was some peril, even a hospital scene, except no one was even there to care, especially not the other MC. This was so dumb.

Reviewed by: KevinGenre: M/M Paranormal4.25 HeartsSee Review Here: Hearts On Fire ReviewsFacebook link: have to say this sequel was probably one of the better ones I have read. I found both the main characters to be likeable and sexy as hell. Add the fact that we reintroduce Logan and Dylan to the mix and you have one hell of a story.I found Liam to be loveable and a sexy man. His introduction into vampires, werewolves and witches were part of the humor of this story. But the real hottie in this book was Bartek. He’s a vampire who has seen centuries of life and his sex appeal and charisma are in abundance. His instant attraction to Liam speaks volume and I for one was hooked from their first meeting. I love he felt for Liam was so heartfelt and provided the balm he need to survive the great tragedy in his supernatural life.I felt the plot about the Black Aggie to be the least impressive part of this book. I would like to have seen this part of the story developed more with a greater opportunity for the four characters pursue this mystery. The ending was a nice touch and a good segue into the next story.I look forward to this amazing story continuing for many books to come. I must admit I find that authors who reintroduce characters from their previous stories help to keep the integrity of the story alive and well. In addition, I’m usually not one for sharing quotes but I could not stop laughing over this one.“Perhaps I should call Reynolds. O’neal and Garcia from the Cherry Hill precinct. We could call this the Logan Robinson fuck me support group!”

Just as sexy as book one - Liam Van Zandt homicide detective meets Bartek Szala a police consultant during a mysterious murder case but he can't focus on anything but Bartek and the feelings mutual. Even though Liam knows the paranormal world is at his doorstep with seeing Logan (from book 1) turn into a werewolf he knows anythings possible but what he doesn't realize is there is more then just werewolves out there. Very sexy story; Bartek and Liam are sexy as hell together and they can't get enough of each other, hot as hell sex scenes. I loved the turn of events and the mysteriousness of this book. Very intriguing and well written. Love having Logan and Dylan appear again ( love those guys) 4 stars review by Nanee

I won this book in a giveaway.Dylan kind of let's drop that he's with child. Liam is the focus of this story he was trained by Logan. He working on a case and is steered toward the good doctor.Liam and the whole werewolf thing was something I wasn't sure if I should have expected or not but it was fun to see the thing with his lover. I found myself curious about Hans and Cedric's serum.Liam and Bartek's relationship progression was entertaining to follow along to.

There were positives to the book as well, though. Once both men committed to each other they were intense together. Liam's last thought when he thought he was dying was that he wanted more time with Bartek, and once Bartek reached that point, he was willing to spend forever together.

After enjoying book 1 so much, I just couldn't get into this. It didn't have the quirkiness of the first one. The case of the Black Aggie was a bit too dry, the pacing moved to slowly, I found little interesting about Liam, and Bartek just rubbed me the wrong way. The ending had some potential and I will always like seeing Dylan and Logan appear, but it needed a bit more punch to make it work.
