I have read both Revenge and now Retribution, I loved them both! I had a hard time putting them both down! I anxiously awaiting the next book in the series! Not only were both of these books romantic but so action packed I turned page after page because I could wait to see what was going to happen next! I would highly recommend both of these books to anyone! Both are great reads!

Retribution is book 2 in the Blood and Honor series and is an excellent read. This book concentrates on Nick, Enrico Luchessi’s illegitimate son. Working for Interpol, Nick goes in search of his father with the intention of bringing him to justice. Nick blames Enrico for his mothers death and is intent on revenge. As he gets more involved with the Andretti family, his fathers adversaries, Nick realises not everything is black and white, there are some grey areas and maybe his father isn’t the man he thought he was.I really enjoyed Revenge (book 1 in the series) but thought maybe it was a bit of a fluke that Dana was able to write such an in-depth plot…..not so, she has done it again with this book. Not one sentence was wasted filling word count, every word was relevant to the story, keeping it moving and exciting from page one right to the end. Once again the plot was thick. There are a lot of characters in play and to be honest sometimes I did get a little mixed up with who was on which side of the fence but that is my issue, I’m not great at retaining too much info at once!!This is a gritty read, I don’t know how realistic or true to life Dana’s description of ‘mob’ life is, but to me it was believable. Every character had unique personalities, most were flawed, and this only added to their realism. I have just found myself a new series to follow and can’t wait for book 3. I would highly recommend this series.Copy supplied for review

Some novels do not live up to my expectations, especially ones that are in a series, this novel surpassed my expectations. Dana once again brings the world of the Italian Mafia to life, in this her followup novel to "Revenge". The twists and turns in this novel were not only compelling and kept the story going at a great pace that it kept me reading and wanting more as the pages flew by. Quick Recap ~ Nick Clarkson (Lucchesi) [the illegitimate son of Enrico Lucchesi the capo of the Lucchesi family] is thrown into a world that he knows very little about when he receives a letter telling hom who is father 'is'. As far as Nick is concerned his father abandoned him and wants nothing to do with him; working for Interpol, Nick checks out his 'father' and comes up blank, taking a mysterious man up on his offer to learn about his father, Nick strikes a deal with the Andretti capo, his father's rivals. Add in the beautiful Delfina Andretti, who wants to get out from under her father's influence and not be thought of as a 'mafia princess'. These two strangers navigate the fine line of love, honor, passion, trust and betrayal all the way to the end. Unlike the previous novel, there is not as much violence, no one ends up getting something in the mail or via 'special delivery', well...... 'Retribution' is as full of passion and Nick and Delfina try to make her 'first time' memorable, only to be stopped and caught in compromising positions; I began to route for them each time they were alone and I thought they would finally make love, only to be interrupted by one thing or another; Dana keeps her reader waiting for that special moment between the characters, as they both deal with their families, work, what is expected and what they actually want, as well as the looming threat of the Russian Mafia seeking revenge and wanting both families dead. You are kept on the edge of your seat until the very last page, just like at the end of "Revenge", "Retribution" has a teaser for the next novel that makes me excited to read the next novel. If you liked "Revenge" you will love "Retribution"; this is easily a stand alone novel; I'm just glad that there is more to come in this series.

I did a video review for Retribution, if you would like to watch it and see what I think CLICK HERE.Retribution was great... oh so damn great. So this is the second book in the Blood and Honor series and I loved it even better than the first one. In this book you are introduced to the illegitimate son of Enrico Lucchesi, Nick Clarkson. When Nick was little his father left him for good reasons, but Nick doesn't see it like that at all. Nick hates his Father or so he thinks and wants to put him in jail for all of the things he has done. When he finds a letter about his Father he tries to get information and when he can't he turns to Dario Andretti, which is a BAD freaking idea. The Lucchesi's and Andretti's have been at war with each other for a long time and Dario wants to use Nick to get back at Enrico for killing his father. When Nick goes to the Andretti household he runs into Delfina (Dario's daughter) and she tries to tell him to leave... but he misunderstands and doesn't listen. Nick really doesn't know what he has gotten himself into until it is too late... he gets himself into a WORLD of trouble and it is great seeing how he figures things out, and begins to see that his Father isn't actually the bad guy he thought he was.He also starts to have a thing for Delfina which he is too damn stubborn to admit... their encounters with eat other are HOT HOT HOT! You will love them, they are both stubborn and it makes for an interesting relationship between the two haha.Dana has written another wonderful story filled with action, love, forgiveness, and some awful hot steamy scenes! This story was beautifully written and I hope you pick it up and read it!

Couldn't put it down! There were a lot of twists and turns which were quite believeable. This is a sequel to the first book Revenge and as much as I liked the first book, this one is much better. But don't worry if you haven't read the first book as this one gives the history between the opposing families without repeating itself too much. The story centres around Nick and Delfina, the children of two Mafia Dons who are sworn enemies. I don't know how factual it was, but the idea that arranged marraiges still exist in 'modern' European countries was quite intriguing.Nick is the illegitimate son of Enrico Lucchesi who has grown up without his father, although his father did financially support him and watch him from afar. Following the death of his mother, Nick develops a hatred for his Mafiosa father and joins Interpol in an attempt to bring him down.Delfina is a Mafiosa Princess, the daughter of Dario Andretti, who resents her position and life and just wants out so that she can pursue her own dreams. She loves her parents and brother but she is a modern woman who 'wants it all' and is horrified when her father arranges not just her first brief engagement to her uncle (by marraige) but also her second engagement to someone she detests.A thoroughly enjoyable book and I can't wait for the third book in the series.

Suspense, suspense, suspense! Absolutely loved this book. Book 1 was so enjoyable I truly did not expect book 2 to live up to those expectations. It did, and surpassed them. I absolutely adored Delfina from the beginning, your "Principessa". All she wants is to be normal, to not be a mafia princess & make it as a fashion designer. Nick, the illegitimate son of Enrico Luchessi, who wants nothing but revenge on his dad for abandoning him as a child. What he doesn't know is that Enrico did it to protect him, to keep him far away from the Ndrangheta, which Nick falls right into. You struggle with Nick as he tries to deal with his mums death, abandoned by his dad, and figuring out his feelings for Delfi. Wonderful love story, sexy, sultry, seductive & heartwarming . The suspense on the last couple of chapters is so intense my blood pressure truly shot through the roof & gave me plenty of heart palpitations. You absolutely want to read this book, another amazing job by this author. I was hoping book 3 would be about Antonio and I am so happy it is. Great job, can't wait for the next one.

Hot Romance and Blood Curdling Action won’t let you put this book down!Dana Delamar’s second book in the Blood and Honor series, Retribution, is even better than the first… and I loved Revenge. Hot steamy romance and blood curdling action won’t let you put this book down. Expecting this story to continue from the point of view of the Luchessi mob family, the author surprised me with a new twist. Nick Clarkson, an Interpol agent, finds out he’s the illegitimate son of Enrico Luchessi. Wanting retribution against his father, he strikes a deal with Dario Andretti, his father’s bitter rival. Nick learns he doesn’t know what he’s doing in the mob world and turns to Delfina, an Andretti mob princess, for assistance. Delfina sees Nick as a way out of the mob life until she’s falls for him. But can Nick forgive her for using him? Both try to help the other and at every turn put each other in greater danger.

Yes! Sooo much better than Revenge, Nick is dashing and Delfina is adorable....their chemistry was off the charts and holy cow with those wicked Andrettis!!!! Can the next generation usher in some kind of peace? I don't know....I guess I have to wait for the next one! Lol! Rico still has a strong presence in this book, since Nick is his son, but Kate not so much, thank you! The author relates some of the back story on the families which is nice for people just reading the series but doesn't overdo it.....Liked this one a lot!

Once again, Delamar had no problem sucking me back into the world of the Luchessis, the Andrettis, and the rest of the Italian ’Ndrangheta. But she really amped up the stakes and the action in Dario’s personal vendetta against Enrico by luring Enrico’s illegitimate son, Nick, to Italy. And we learn that Nick’s little boy lost mentality causes him to fall right into Dario’s trap – again and again and again. Seriously, for an Interpol agent, Nick really isn’t that savvy when it comes to dealing with the criminal element and he fails miserably when it comes to learning from his mistakes. While his ineptness endangers him, it’s also probably what saved him because no one really saw him as a threat – because he wasn’t.Dario’s daughter, Delfina, is struggling against the strictures of the family business. She has no desire to marry someone of her father’s choosing just so that he can strengthen the family’s standing. Especially as his choice is her best friend’s brother, who is a drug addict. Especially when what she wants to do is design clothing. Especially when all she really wants is to not be a part of the ’Ndrangheta. To live her own life. To be free. When she first meets Nick, she knows exactly whose son he is and, due to his age, she despises him because of what he represents – her uncle’s infidelity to her beloved Aunt Toni. But as she spends time with him, she understands why her aunt was so drawn to her Uncle Enrico – the Luchessi men possess a natural charm. As it becomes obvious that Delfi will soon be engaged to a man of her father’s choosing, she hatches a plan that will either save her from her father’s machinations or get Nick killed.I was blown away by just how well Delamar subtly reminded the reader that Nick was British and not raised in the ’Ndrangheta way. There was a definite difference between the Italians and Nick in their mannerisms, speech, and how they saw the world. Honestly, I’m still amazed that Nick made it to the end of the book still living because some of the stunts he pulled should have gotten him killed. As with the previous books in the series (which you do have to read before Retribution), there are plots, deals, lies, and subterfuge aplenty, and just when you think you know what’s going on, you find out that there is even more going on than you as the reader are privy to. I’m intrigued to know if Delamar is playing it that close to the vest or if her muse is as secretive as her characters are with one another. Or maybe I’m just as paranoid as Dario – who, by the way, was a major arse at the end when he revealed the “supposed” truth about Toni’s feelings for Enrico. I, for one, don’t buy it – but it certainly shook Enrico up and that alone made me dislike Dario even more. Ultimately, Retribution was another excellent addition to the Blood and Honor series, keeping me up until the wee hours of the morning to finish it and leaving me salivating for Redemption to find out what the author has in store for the families.I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. Retribution (Blood & Honor #2)By: Dana Delamar5/5 starsWhen Enrico Lucchesi was sent to boarding school in England, at age 16, after the murder of his mother and brothers, he met a woman and fathered a son out of wedlock. But due to the peace agreement between the Lucchesi family and the Andretti family, he had to return to Italy and marry Antonella Andretti, forsaking his son, Nick and Nick’s mother. If any of the mafia found out he’d broken the peace accord by having a son, then he, his father, and his son would have all been murdered. He was heartbroken over it, but Nick’s heart hardened with abandonment.Nick Clarkston became an Interpol agent who wanted retribution against the father who let him down and abandoned him and his mother when he was just a boy. Nick only saw Enrico a few times and only spoke to him on the phone a couple times after Enrico left them in England. Nick now works for Interpol and believes that he can best get his revenge by investigating his dad as a Mafioso and putting him in jail. Unfortunately, Nick goes to Dario Andretti, Enrico’s former brother-in-law, to help him with his case against his father.Delfina Andretti is the daughter of Dario & Illaria Andretti and the older sister to Cristoforo. The only life she knows is the mafia life, and it is a life that she wants to escape. She doesn’t want to be used as a pawn in an arranged marriage to strengthen her father’s cosca. Delfi’s dream is to pursue a career in fashion and to become a designer in her own right and not just on her family name or her father’s money. Nick may be her ticket out of the life. But when she learns of his true plans, she doesn’t know if she can help him put her family in jail because they will also go down if he takes down Enrico. Delfina also tries to help Nick see past his young hurt and see his father through adult eyes.I absolutely loved this book and was intrigued with future stories. This is the second time that I’ve read this book and have read both of the next two. I love Dana Delamar’s story telling and attention to detail. Her books are passionate & flawless.

This is the second book in the Blood and Honor series. Nick Clarkston the illegitimate son of Enrico Lucchesi works for Interpol. Not knowing who is father really is, he was raised by his grandparents after his mothers suicide. All Nick remembers about his father is him leaving him after his mothers death. While Enrico had good reason, Nick just felt abandoned. Finding out who his father really is he wants revenge. When Dario Andretti offers to help him get his revenge Nick jumps at the chance. Thinking he can take care of himself and play the mob to get what he wants. He doesn't realize that the mob is playing him and he is in over his head. Turning to Dario's daughter Delfina she tries to steer him the right direction. At times Nick is so arrogant (wonder where that trait comes from) he just ends up getting deeper and deeper.Where I had trouble getting into the first book Revenge because of the amount of characters, coming into this one I was already familiar with most of them. Some new ones were added but nothing overwhelming. There was so much emotion in this book. Action-packed, seat gripping, love, forgiveness so much packed into this one book. You won't want to put it down. The characters are so emotionally gripping. They are far from perfect but yet they love and fight with everything they have. Can't wait to read the third book.

RetributionWhat a powerful journey. Enrico’s son works for Interpol and is out for revenge against his father. Is dream is to take down the mafia families including his father. He lands in the lap of Enrico’s enemy will he ever make it out alive? After his mother’s death he cannot love anyone. The Russians are coming in and trying to take over. Can the two families stop the dealings behind their back or will shit hit the fan and all-out war start? This series is action packed to the very end. Very well written and plotted and very easy to follow. I have indeed found a new Author.Antonio has many surprises dropped in his lap; can he handle them and the men out to destroy him? An old love happens back into his life with a life changing secret; can he love and forgive her? Will Enrico allow him to have her if he does? Seems like Antonio is always being passed by when it comes to being Enrico’s son and the one to truly inherit all can that ever change or will the bond Enrico makes with his nephew keep Antonio just on the edge.

WOW after reading book 1 of this series I wasn't sure how Dana would top it.... I am almost speachless after reading 'Retribution' book 2 in the "Blood & Honor" series, I do implore you to definitely read the prequel & book 1 before you read this. I have read book 1 but haven't read the prequel as yet, but it's there waiting for the first possible chance.'Retribution' starts a week or so after 'Revenge' finishes & within the first chapter I was drawn inside the world that is 'Ndrangheta Mafiso, more particular the Andretti & Lucchesi fanctions. The details & descriptions throughout the book made it feel like I had a movie showing in my head, they were that thorough. I truly felt like I was inside the book. The twists & turns in this book were as compelling as they were in book 1. After reading 'Retribution' I'm so glad I came across the Blood & Honor series, it's not only compelling, but magical with so much detail, love, honor, pain, passion...... the list goes on. Thank you Dana, bring on book 3 & the rest of the series.

Great book 2I really enjoyed this book. Loved how it picked up just days after the first book ended. I read a lot of mafia romance books. This series so far is in my top 10. The men in these books are not portrayed as ruthless and cruel except in the bedroom with their woman. The love for their families and sometimes guilt in the things they must do, helps bringing these characters to life.

Book two on the Lucchesi/Andretti family saga which is really good. So, if you get a chance, check out the series from the beginning and you won’t be disappointed. Lots of fast paced, action with thrills and chills, with a lot of great characters and even the villainous ones held you attention. And you might even learn a word or two of Italian.
