Wonderful oldie by an unknown author (at least for me!). Older man/younger woman theme. Only complaint would be the rather abrupt ending, but I find this to be common among the older books. Will plan to track down a few more by this author.

Rating: ~3 stars (I would have used a less than sign, but then I'd confuse people)Couldn't decide whether I liked this book or whether it was just okay. Phyllis Halldorson has a nice writing style - very readable, but the hero had too many mood swings for my taste (Mr Pendulum?). The heroine had her share of emotional upheaval but she did have 1. Youth and 2. Pregnancy as her excuse.Recommendation: For people who want some mindless reading for a couple of hours after a hard day at work.

Shane sent for his "mail-order bride", Karen. Even though there was a big age difference, Karen did care about Shane. He thought twice but things did shape up.This was an older book but also a good read-quick and easy!

I've never read stuff from this author until today and I have to say I love her writing style. I will most definitely be looking out for this author in the future. I loved how the novel was written, the emotional context, everything was pretty darn great.

Karen Muir was in love with Shane McKittrick so she accepted the strange bargain to marry him, bear his child, then get divorced and turn the child over to him. Thing in life don't always happened as planned as Shane finds out.
