Slick's review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book ReviewsEver since author Erika Wilde introduced The Players Club in book five of the Marriage Diaries (The Invitation) I have been waiting for this book and Playing With Temptation was well worth the wait. Provocative yet emotional this book packs a punch offering some seductively kinky sexy times mixed with just enough conflict and drama to make it interesting, but without taking away from the incredible romance that blossoms. I love a strong and confident heroine and that is the image that Raina Beck shows to the world at large. Owner of a successful adult toy store and boutique, Raina is proud of the life she's built and the control she's taken in her life. Her personal life has been less than stellar so when a friend gives her an invitation to The Players Club, an exclusive sex club she decides to take a chance but she has no idea it will change her life in more ways than one. There is something about a strong, confident, dominate man who isn't afraid to take on a strong woman or one that isn't afraid to admit he's got strong feelings and Logan Cruz was that and so much more. A retired Marine, a respected security agent, a dedicated brother and uncle, and a man who isn't afraid to help a woman discover all kinds of new things Logan's overwhelming control made him one very attractive man. Meeting and being intimate at the Player's Club makes things very interesting when Logan is assigned to protect Raina when she is the target of a stalker. I enjoyed the fact that these two met in an unconventional way and that despite the events that followed they were able to get past them and move into more than a professional relationship. Raina has some baggage but what amazed me is that Logan wouldn't let her wallow in it; he accepted everything about her and in fact was drawn to her even more because of it. I flat out love the open communication between these two on all things and while they originally held some things back they eventually laid it all out there, discussed it and moved on. Logan impressed me with the way he knew exactly what Raina needed and was very skillful in helping her accept it by building a trust she'd never had with a partner before. While physically Raina was on board pretty quickly with everything Logan expected from her, it took her a little while to figure it out mentally. As with this author's previous series, I appreciate the way these characters communicated, the adult way they handled their issues, and the no holds barred way they gave themselves to each other. Playing With Temptation is a stellar start to what is sure to become an outstanding series.Review copy provided for an honest review.

When Raina experiences one night of passion at the Player’s Club with a handsome stranger, she’s quite content keeping things anonymous and has no plans to return. But when she is threatened by a stalker she turns to her friend’s husband who runs a security company – and comes face to face with her stranger when he is assigned to work her case. Logan is good at what he does and protecting Raina at her erotic boutique is no hardship, especially when it gives him the chance to get her back into his arms again. Now that things are out in the open, can he convince her that what they experienced together could become part of a long lasting relationship?I really enjoyed this story. I picked it up on the recommendation of a friend and based on the synopsis thought it would be an interesting read. Right from the start Logan and Raina have an intense sexual chemistry. When Logan takes on the position of her bodyguard, it’s not long before he’s got her right where he wants her.He chuckled, then moved so that he was standing right in front of her, tall, imposing and sexy as hell. She wasn’t a petite woman by any stretch of the imagination, yet his height, the width of his broad shoulders, and his presence in general dwarfed even her. He tipped his head to the side, his eyes suddenly serious and very hot. The blast of heat – in his gaze and radiating off his body- was seductive and mesmerizing, as were his words when he murmured, “How do you feel about having me around?”There was no denying the sudden shift between them, from discussing business one minute to him turning her comment into something far more personal and intimate the next. A wild, heated thrill flared through her, and she could feel her own traitorous body sway toward his, felt her nipples harden and her sex pulse in answer to his question.“We’re not talking about you just being my bodyguard, are we?” she asked, unable to disguise the breathless quality of her voice. He shook his head slowly. “No, we’re not.” His voice was low and soft, like the finest of silk rubbing against her skin.Anticipation simmered deep inside of her. Absently, she licked her bottom lip, and his jaw clenched as he watched the slow swipe of her tongue. Now that all aspects of business were taken care of, that professionalism and decorum he’d exuded all day long were gone, replaced by that tempting, irresistible man she’d met at the club last night, and all she could think about was his mouth on hers, his fingers stroking between her thighs to ease the building ache there…Logan comes across as a typical alpha male but with a sweet side to him and his concern for Raina is genuine. He is determined to find out who is threatening her, and to protect her from anyone who wishes her harm. Raina is a lovely woman, friendly, caring and with a damaged heart. She’s had trouble with relationships, mostly because the men she dates are either threatened by her sex shop or assume she’s easy. In her experience, as soon as a man wants to introduce her to his family, he wants her to end her career too, one that she is proud of having built from the ground up. But because of Logan’s sexual experience and membership at the Player’s Club, he isn’t intimidated at all by her shop and in fact is quite happy to do some shopping there himself, to entice Raina and show her that he’s up for any games she might want to play. Logan is determined to show her that he is strong enough to defend her and that he respects her career choice. The suspense plot, with someone threatening Raina at her home and her work, is fairly predictable (there aren’t a lot of possible suspects) but was well handled and comes to an action-packed conclusion. Combine that with the steamy interludes between Raina and Logan (plentiful and inventive) and you’ve got a very sexy romance with a satisfying happy ending. I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series! 4.5 stars.Note: a copy of this story was provided by the author via NetGalley for review.Note 2: this review appears as a blog post at: http://straightshootinbookreviews.com...

5 Hot n Sexy StarsI LOVED both Raina and Logan throughout this great read! It was fast paced, mysterious and action packed, lots of hot sex with a very dominating alpha male and the storyline was great along with the secondary characters!!!!!!I am looking forward to the next book in this series. From some reviews on GR, some people may be a bit turned off to the back story of Sawyer and Paige but I think there's a whole lot we may not really about their situation or at least I have high hopes that there may be something other than what everyone thinks! Either way, I can't wait to continue on with this series and all of these characters:)

Hot damn, right from the beginning we're heading to The Players Club for the first time with Raina. For a woman that owns her own adult pleasures shop this experience was completely new to her and so was Logan the hot sexy alpha male that perked her interest and gave her a forever lasting experience. Clearly someone has an interest in Raina but they don't want to reveal themselves just yet but have no problem making her feel uncomfortable with messages left behind. This book is so much more then just going to a sex club, were given mystery, suspense and of course sexy scenes. I thought I figured out who our mystery person was right away and was disappointed thinking the rest of the book was going to be predictable but I was completely wrong. I absolutely loved this story from the beginning to the very end, I didn't want to say goodbye to Logan and Raina. Loved loved loved. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

As a reader who loves her stories spicy, this book practically singed my fingers while reading it. With a crackling connection between its main couple, with a bit of danger to keep everyone on edge, I was fully engaged from the first page to the last. Juggling both steamy encounters with intense emotions has become a trademark of Ms. Wilde and is once again on display here. Along with a satisfying amount of steam comes issues of trust and overcoming past pain which are dealt with in a mature way to keep the story flowing beautifully. Add in a likable main couple and an entertaining cast of secondary characters and you end up with a promising start to a new series.Raina is a strong and proud businesswoman tired of being labeled for owning an adult boutique. Too many times men have found her good enough to sleep with but not good enough to bring home. Being treated as a dirty little secret has her turning her back on love and relationships. For her, one night is enough as she now wants to be the one in control and the one to love 'em and leave 'em. A friend's invitation to a sex club turns her newfound plan upside down though as she meets an enigmatic man who understands her deepest desires and longs to give her exactly what she's long dreamed of. Like Cinderella, she leaves without giving him her name, never expecting to see him again. Fate has other plans however and when a stalker sets his sights on her the mystery man might be the only one to save her. He unsettles her though as he pushes her emotional boundaries and delves into her painful past. Raina's childhood was one of constant emotional upheaval with a mother too cowed to keep Raina safe which has Raina valuing control above all now. Men have left her untrusting of their motives and her heart firmly closed off, so it will take a very strong man to get her to open up. Logan is just the man for the job though as he's strong-willed and confident, but with a caring and loyal side too. He was also burned by love in the past by those closest to him which has him doubting love as well. Until the night he sees Raina no woman has intrigued him for longer than one night, but seeing Raina has him wanting to take the time to discover all her different layers. He's not shy about what he enjoys in the bedroom and sees Raina as his perfect match. Their sexual connection is instantaneous as his sexy narrative to her upon meeting her made me melt. Luckily fate threw them together to allow him to connect with her on a deeper emotional level that was full of push and pull as she didn't make it easy for him. Keeping her safe from a stalker is a 24-hour job which keeps them constantly together to show their ever evolving relationship that's thankfully not riddled with too much angst. There is LOTS of sexiness though which was both playful and erotic to keep it from becoming bland. Logan is ultimately a good book boyfriend....very alpha, but in a way that's sexy and supportive. He's encouraging of her to embrace those hidden desires she once found dirty and together they make love look dirty and fun.The eroticism of this story is immensely satisfying as a basis for Raina and Logan growing closer and deepening their emotional connection. The stalker also brought them together but this part of the story wasn't dealt with as fully as I'd hoped. What should've been suspenseful was kept too much in the background to make much of an impact. With its two strong leads I was happy to see equally well-crafted secondary characters that were supportive with familial-like interactions that have me looking forward to seeing more of them in this series starter that left me completely tempted to read more.

I have to say this book needed so much more. The story itself did not keep me captivated. The sex scenes were what saved this book for me. They were incredibly hot and for readers who are looking for just that, then this may be a book for you. I like a book to have characters that have depth so they jump out at you, but I'm afraid to say that the personalities of these characters did not set themselves apart from each other. Raina and her friends had no quirks or traits to differentiate them and if I'm honest, Logan was just so perfect, he didn't interest me beyond his hot looks and body. He said all the right things and quite frankly, I just wanted him to have a flaw, something that made him seem real. It does mention Logans past, but I never got a sense that he was greatly affected by it. The story itself features a stalker, who we don't get to discover until much later in the book, but I felt that this would have been a good opportunity to add some grit, however I seemed that for much of the story this wasn't even mentioned and more focus was placed on the fact that Raina had serious hang ups about the way people perceived her working in the Adult Toy industry, so much so I spent much of my time questioning my own sanity as I screamed "Get a grip woman, this is the 21st century."Like I said, there were some great sex scenes and the book itself was well written, I just wanted more.

Logan oozes confidence and sex appeal, "he lowered his head closer to hers, so that his mouth was near her ear. “Sweetheart, it would be my greatest pleasure to feel your smooth a** beneath the palm of my hand. But I don’t think that Dean or Mac would appreciate me doing so right here in their conference room. However, if you’d like to wrestle it out later to see who comes out on top, I’m certainly game." Logan he's forthcoming and blunt, "Because they smell like you.” Stopping behind her, he leaned in and brushed his lips against her ear. “And when I’m jacking off, like I did last night when I got home after finger fucking you on your dining table, I like to imagine you being there with me, that it’s your hand stroking my c and making me come." Raina knows how to boost her man's ego, "God, you’re so big… everywhere.” Her husky voice sent another shot of heat straight to his d***. “And absolutely gorgeous, too." I'm going to love this series I fell in love with the characters and I really want the next book like yesterday.

I can't honestly tell you how long I waited for this book. Having read the earlier series that The Player's Club is spun-off from, The Marriage Diaries, I had planned for some to read about Raina, Logan and their tryst at the titular sex club. And, I have to say, it was hot enough to make the delay in reading it worthwhile. Raina Beck is the proud owner of Sugar and Spice, an adult boutique, and yet, her personal life leaves more than a little to be desired. When her friend, Jillian gives her an invitation to indulge at The Player's Club, an exclusive sex club, she's prepared for a night of scintillating kink with a perfect stranger. What she's not prepared for is Logan Cruz. Walking away after their encounter was hard, but when a stalker makes their presence known in her life, Raina finds herself once again face-to-face with Logan...and that their chemistry is just as strong as it was on their one hot night. The Marriage Diaries was one of the first truly erotic series I read, and I will admit to having re-read the highlights a few times since I first one-clicked. Playing With Temptation didn't quite get to me the same way as the earlier books, but it was still a very, very sexy read. Probably too sexy for where I read it...an aeroplane. *gulp*Raina and Logan sure knew how to burn up the sheets, making reading in public a touch awkward. I mean, who knows who was reading along with me on that plane? Eh, hopefully they enjoyed it as much as I did. The story that brought these two together -- Raina's stalker -- didn't intrigue me as much as the couple themselves. It felt a little bland for a mystery, but worked effectively in bringing the two together in a fun, believable kind of way. Likewise, their own conflict never truly troubled to me, but perhaps that just because their attraction was so great, it was difficult to image a scenario where happily ever after became happily never after. There is more to come from Erika Wilde and The Player's Club, and I am willing to wait to see what comes next. I enjoyed the epilogue/setup for Paige and Sawyer's story and I fairly sure that it will, once again, be very hot and super sexy. And sometimes, that's all you need when flying across the country... ~ Beth, 4 stars.

ARC generously provided by Rock Star Lit PR via NetGalley for an honest review! This afternoon, I decided to take a quick look at my existing 'to read publishing July 2015' list of books and OF COURSE I come across Playing with Pleasure and I get ALL KINDS of excited!!! Until I realized ... damn, I did it again, I read a book and did not review. And yes, that book is Playing with Temptation!!Better late than never, I say ......Let me tell you what I love to read. I love to read strong alpha males who not only get to go toe to toe with their female counterparts (strong alpha female), but maybe, just maybe, they aren't as confident and dominant as they'd like the whole world to think.... I loved this story :)The one thing that is unique about this story is that altho there is a mystery/suspense trope in the story, it isn't the focus at all. You actually forget it's even happening. The only thing it was good for, was to bring Logan and Raina together. And for me, that's awesome. Because those two ... together...SEXUAL POWERHOUSES! And nothing took away from that in this story. OK, so you should know, Logan and Raina have history. The gist is simple. She gets an invite to 'The Club'. She goes. She an explosive night with Logan. She leaves. Simple. Until it isn't ... Raina's got herself a problem. She's got a stalker. So she needs professional help. And so their paths cross again ... and THIS time, Logan is not letting go!This was an extremely sexually powerful story. Raina was determined to not lose control in anything of her life and Logan was equally determined to breakdown all her barriers. They were incredibly sexy together. #PerfectionThe writing was flawless and sexy and quite frankly ... just plain good. There's no need for fancy here. There's a lot of sex going on in this story, but it was tasteful and necessary for these two. It's how their story needed to be told. Kudos to Erika Wilde for telling it properly!!

I really enjoyed this book it has just the right amount of suspense, sexiness and drama. Raina owns an adult toy store and has achieved everything in her life by her own drive, she is a strong, hardworking and highly independent woman. Her past relationships lead her to live out a life purely dedicated to her work and no time to actually let anyone in to her heart the one person she did hurt her even more and from that moment on she chose to live her life with no commitments to anyone but herself. She has struggled to overcome the unfair judgment and treatment from her own parents and ex-fiancé that she doesn't feel worthy of love. Her inner struggles makes you realize how much pain she has had to endure throughout her life that have led her to close herself off from love.Logan is a sexy alpha male who personifies strength, dominance and passion by his looks alone, but once you get to truly know him his personality will make you fall deeply in love with him. His past has shaped who he is now he hasn't let anyone in and has devoted himself to only work and the occasional encounter. His dominance is strikingly appealing. One invitation to The Players Club will change both of their life's forever.Raina and Logan have an instant connection the instant they see each other, their connection only intensifies and they share a passionate encounter that only leaves them wanting more from each other. Raina is not so accommodating, she can't allow herself to feel anything more for this marvelous man who has clearly ruined her for any other man. What Raina doesn't realize is that Logan is determined to get his way and the future holds so many unexpected surprises. Logan is assigned to be Raina's bodyguard and protect her from a stalker from there their chemistry only ignites a deeper need for each other. They both have to learn to finally give in to each other in order to let go of their past and trust that they can make their love prosper. I would have liked to have seen more definite closure between this dynamic couple but glad I will hopefully get to see more of them in the next book in this series. Overall it was a great read!

I had no idea Erika Wilde was Janelle Denison's pseudonym or vice versa. I read Janelle's books back in the early 2000s. Well more like I devoured them. They were hot, really sexy, and funny. Of course I didn't find out she started writing under another name until about five minutes ago, but that doesn't matter. Her writing is till hot and really sexy. This time her stories are heavier on the erotica and BDSM, but they're still really good!I'm usually not a fan of insta-lust, and this is how the connection between Logan and Raina starts. They act on it and it's scorching hot especially since they never exchange names. Raina is surprised to see Logan so soon after their encounter especially when she seems him in a different location under different circumstances. It was easy to tell they weren't finished with each other. Going back to that insta-lust. I liked how the chemistry between them changed from gratifying their sexual desires to actually getting to know and like each other. That gave the story more of an erotic romance feeling as opposed to just erotica.I also liked the suspense element although it seemed more of an after thought to the relationship Logan and Raina were developing. The identity of the stalker was a surprise to me, which was good. I also liked Raina's friends. They were good moral support for her going to The Player's Club and for everything afterwards as well. Now that I know where to find Janelle/Erika's books, I know I'm going to have a good time catching up with what she's written. If you're fan of erotic romance, I'd recommend you check out the books under both Janelle Denison and Erika Wilde.

I really enjoyed this book - it's a good easy read with fun, likable lead characters and lots of sexy times. It has a nice amount of suspense to go with the romance storyline, and it all comes together to create a great book. This is the first book I've read by Erika Wilde, but I would definitely read more. I liked her writing style - dialogue flowed nicely and the storyline was well constructed.Logan is smokin' hot - a gorgeous ex-military alpha male - and you can't help but fall in love with him. He's kinky, sexy, dominant, protective and an all round great guy. Raina owns an adult toy store and has worked hard to get where she is today. Strong, feisty, fun and sexy, she is a great girl who I would definitely like to be friends with. Raina has been hurt in the past and is often unfairly judged due to the nature of her business, so she is frightened of being hurt again. The sexual chemistry between these two is hot, hot, hot. The sex scenes are steamy, with a nice amount of kink. There are some BDSM elements and these are quite light and ultra sexy. Playing With Temptation is a great book with a good romantic storyline, some suspense and lots of steamy loving. This is the first book in a series and I can't wait to read the next couples' story. Playing with Temptation gets five out of five stars.I received a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.

What's hotter than a former military hero turned bodyguard? A former military hero turned dominant bodyguard! And let me tell you... Logan Cruz is a sexy, dirty talking dominant hero to the nth degree!Raina and Logan meet at The Players Club and after a smoking hot sexual encounter, Raina takes off in hopes of never seeing Logan again. Unfortunately after discovering she has a stalker (and I use this term very loosely) Logan is hired as her bodyguard. What follows is a super hot, kinky love affair that is only supposed to last while Logan is protecting Raina but very quickly feelings start getting involved. Logan is the type of guy to go all in when he wants something and I love the way he fought for Raina to the very end. Raina is a tougher pill to swallow but given her history it makes sense that she doesn't believe Logan will really want her in the long run. While I did enjoy Playing with Temptation, I was extremely disappointed in the "stalker" aspect. Despite the fact that I figured out who it was pretty early on, I was still hoping for more of a development with the suspense. A pair of handcuffs and a few derogatory words does not a stalker make.If you're looking for a quick, sexy read with a dirty talking alpha male, an independent yet vulnerable heroine, and off the charts kinky sexy times, then you should definitely check out Playing with Temptation.*ARC kindly provided through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

**NetGalley provided me with this book for my honest review**Raina owns an adult toy store which has given her unfair labels in her previous relationships. Her friend gives her an invitation to The Players Club for a night to have sex with whoever she wants. No strings, no attachments just what Raina needs! Once there she sees the man she is meant to be with for that evening. No names exchanged just one passionate (OMG) fling. That one event had Raina running from the club before she can learn anything more from him!Logan is the man and OMG is he the man!! After having 1 taste of Raina he has to have her again. But she runs out of the club and he chases her down. Of course he doesn't catch her and he doesn't know her name.Raina has a stalker who is leaving her threatening messages and she turns to her friends who run a security company. While meeting with the owner he has a man who will be Raina's bodyguard and when the man walks in the door it's Logan!!!! What a great story. Great character development, steamy oh so steamy sex and a book that you cannot put down!! A must read!

Karia’s ReviewThe beginning of this book actually started off a bit slow…despite the hot hook up at the club. Raina was hard for me to connect with, but once I heard more of her back story, I really felt a kinship to her. Her struggle with owning a boutique adult toy store was more about people embracing the real Raina and not forcing her to be something or someone she wasn’t. I liked her “take me as I am” attitude. That is me to a T!Logan…come on, what’s not to love! Former marine, now security services, loves to garden, cooks and knows his way around all manner of adult toys…Too good to be true! So of course, Raina believes he is too good for her. The angst of the rest of the story was Logan trying to convince her that she was worth perusing, worth loving and wortheverything. Loved that about him. Honestly, Paige and her story are gonna be my favourite…I can already tell! The curvy corset maker and the veteran soldier who broke her heart…yeah…July can’t come fast enough! Enjoy!

Erika is an amazing author! Another awesome read! There is light BDSM in this book. Raina goes to The Player's Club for sex with a stranger. Logan sees her from afar and takes her on the couch, shortly thereafter. Despite Logan wanting her to return, Raina leaves after she freshens up. Returning home, she finds handcuffs and a note on her door. Freaked out, she calls her friend who has her go into the security firm that her husband homes. Raina is given a bodyguard till the can find out who is stalking her. Yep, you guessed it, the bodyguard is Logan. They both lust for each other they agree as long as Logan is protecting her, they will sleep together. Both have been burned in previous relationships so when the job is done, they have to decide if they can continue a relationship. Can't wait to read the next Player's Club book!

This author but so much out in this book but portions of a drop for me which were heading towards the higher end of the reading but something just didn't feel right so with that said I hope it works for other readers they just didn't do it for me. 10 on the steamy.Happy Sexy Reading

It's like a 3.5 to a 4.I liked it. It was a little ridiculous lol, but I liked it.There's Raina Beck who owns and adult boutique. She's young, feisty, sexy, independent, and has been hurt pretty bad in the past. I liked Raina for the most part. There were some things that were annoying, like the constant "I own an adult store, people are going to think I'm a whore or slut" bit. I get it, some people have serious issues with sex and they react horribly instead of facing them. But this just seemed to be OTT. (view spoiler)[Why the hell would Derek, her fiance propose to a woman who ran a "porn store" if he had such a problem with it? I mean that just seemed so stupid to me. He knew what she did, and then all of a sudden there's an issue? And then a month before the wedding throw down the ultimatum. It just seems like there should have been some kind of talk prior to the engagement because it seemed out of left field that this would happen. He didn't want to get married, it wasn't about her line of work, he just didn't want to get married and the store was a convenient, if poor excuse to use. (hide spoiler)] And it was an excuse she allowed to carry into every relationship she had. I understand her father messed up her head, but for a woman who was spoken to the way he was, to get into the line of work she did and not feel like a bad person, who defended it...the "no one will love me because of my job" sob lasted too long. Another thing; what is the deal with the "independent women" in stories lately that see affection from a man and rebuff it because they're independent? You can't love or be loved? You can't feel affection or receive it? Even more, you can't have someone look out for you because they care about you? They're not trying to control you, or weaken you. I just don't understand the trope that a woman who is independent must fight with every hero that comes along simply because they care.Logan Cruz...I liked Logan a lot. For the most part, he was a saint. Yes, while (view spoiler)[our h hadn't had any sex for quite a long time, Logan was screwing whoever through the Player's Club. Yes, this typically bothers me, the H getting some while the h doesn't. But Logan wasn't painted as a whore. We didn't run into past fucks, or deal with any OW in general. You knew his past and that was it (hide spoiler)] so I didn't feel annoyed here lol! And he was so freaking dedicated to Raina, and not just as a protector. He liked testing her, teasing her, pushing her buttons, but he wasn't cruel or anything other than interested. I felt like he really did like her. I liked his dominant side, that he wasn't OTT in his kink or that he didn't push Raina other than what was necessary. He could read her well, and it made me love him. Though he does have quite the panty fetish.Together I liked them. I liked the push and pull (not so much Raina pushing him away because of issues) but the dance of their feelings. Even though it was only a week from start to finish (sorta, there were a few extra days in there), it didn't feel forced or improbable. The relationship didn't feel too fast or foolish. It seemed all the time they spent in each other's company allowed for real feelings to develop beyond lust. So I wasn't put off with how fast things went.Side characters: I know a couple received their own stories, and they were great for what they were in this story. I was disappointed in Logan's sister, Emily. Her reaction seemed OTT though I guess part of that is because I don't see how Logan can be so open and her not. What caused him to be that way and her to be more conservative? Either was, it was resolved so it wasn't that big of a deal.I guessed what the big reveal was early on, it seemed obvious but I'm glad that it was only a catalyst to the relationship and not the point of the story. I like how Raina and Logan were at the end, although I am disappointed in the epilogue. I have read far too many stories that have the epilogues set-ups for the next book. I want closure for the couple I'm reading, not a prologue for the next installment. I feel it cheapens the story and bit, as well as the couple. I have no idea how far into the future this story ended, and I don't know exactly where Logan and Raina are. Because it was a set up for another couple. That was disappointing which took away a from my enjoyment. It was still good, I just wished for real closure.

This book ties into the Marriage Diaries with the mention of the main couple. But after that transition, this is a stand alone book. Jillian invites Raina to the Players club. She books up with Logan thinking she will never see him again. But as all good stories go......Logan is assigned to protect her. They have a fast and heated relationship. Logan is patient and understanding of Raina and her hesitations. Raina wants so much to be with Logan but her past keeps her at a distance. I really enjoyed how sweet yet hot these two could be. I loved the patience and understanding Logan had for Raina. It was his understanding that helped Raina let go. Lia Langola is such a wonderful narrator. Her voice is soothing and easy to listen to. She is the narrator for the Marriage Diaries as well, and never once did she use the same voice for the same character. Ms Langola truly brings the characters to life. I really enjoyed the story more because of her narration.

Hot and steamyRaina's past was not necessarily a happy one. A Bi-polar father that wouldn't stay on his meds, that kicked her out at 18, led her to struggle to make her life better. She finds her niche and opens an adult boutique, but because of some peoples jaded opinions it also leads to some heart ache. She's given a guest pass to the players club, that she uses, looking for a night of hot, no strings attached sex.Logan was betrayed by his high school sweetheart and best friend in one of the worst ways. He uses the players club to have some fun and hook up with women that know there will be no strings attached. Due to an unfortunate event after her night at the players club Raina and Logan are paired together for her safety, and the chemistry is hot and steamy. This story is beautifully written, and full of hot and steamy sex that threatens to melt your ereader. Looking forward to reading more in this series.

After receiving an invitation to an exclusive club, Raina Beck spends an amazing night with a mystery man, not exchanging names while fulfilling her ultimate fantasies. When a stalker starts harassing Raina, her friends assign a protective detail to her. Along comes Logan Cruz, who not only serves as her bodyguard, but turns out to be the man she met at the Players Club.A battle ensues to fight their attraction, while trying to figure out who the stalker could be. Especially when clues make it appear the culprit is closer to Raina than they realized.I was hooked from the beginning, often finding myself sitting in my parked car so I could finish a chapter. I can't wait for the next two in the series!

This book is written with a great mixture of wit, humor, smexy scenes and angst. Narration is perfect and keeps you wanting more. If you listen to just one of theses books in this series you will get so hooked that you will want more. I purchased all the ebooks and audible upgrades in the series and loved them just as much. I highly recommend this series, author and narrator.

Engaging, hot, dirty, sexy story that's panting melting. With just enough drama and suspense to keep you turning the pages. Erika doesn't fail to provide readers with delicious, dominate, dirty-talking alpha males. You can't help but fall hard for Logan and Raina is an absolutely fabulous character.

This was my first book by Erika Wilde. I'm a huge fan of audios, so was excited to have this introduction to her. Raina & Logan's chemistry was off the charts. Loved how they met. I look forward to the rest of The Players Club series. Love that it can be read as standalone too. Lia's narration was perfect!
