well what can I say yet again Devon has achieved a 5* read. The hot rock chic Victory is all kinds of confused after the ending of book 2 she is pissed over hearing Kellan talking on his phone about her ( or was he ) ? Kellan is pissed at Victory for leaving without any explanation at this point im screaming at the book TALK TO EACH OTHER lol.Kellan moves forward trying to regroup a band ready for the L.A Gunslingers gig, he comes across a hot pink haired beauty who can shred like victory named switchblade but she has her own story....Victory is still pushing forward with her rock career and with the help of the HOT goldenblonde Jullian helping her and also pursuing her things are looking brighter, with the trip to a on set pop video Victory knows where her life is heading but with the voice in her head telling her she cant sing ever its tough watching the life around her play out and knowing she has one thing holding her back.Victory pulls together a band also for the L,A Gunslingers gig but things don't run smoothly.Victory is working and Rock & Roll high school alongside Kellan and her body just cant resist him so with Kellan still giving her the cold shoulder and switchblade constantly by his side she takes a back seat.Devon knows how to keep you on your toes with the story line cause at times I was like WHY and NO !!! lolThe ending to this love triangle and Rock and Rock group story is just brilliant and does the series justice all the way around but it has left me chanting I WANT MORE DEVON !!!!!!!!

I so totally want MORE What I have loved about these books is the pure passion for guitars! There was more of Victory and Julian here. I think the mixed feelings I had for him have up and ran away. Julian turn out to be much more powerful and influential in the music and music promotion business. Things really need to happen for Victory. The author takes you on more of an emotional highway with Kellan and Victory. Kellan does do a few things that are so nice for Victory in this book. The drama fest that lurks for her and her career are amazing. The characters behind the scenes of the music industry keep it moving at a fairly fast pace. The answers to the "Don't sing" mantra Victory has been going on about are reveal and WOW just a big WOW.During this book a few pop divas are revealed too. YES and guess what? the GunSlinger competition heats up NO NO NO Switchblade?? seriously you are the devil!Wait NO you are a lesbian For real? Not a threat? Not evil?OK not after Kellan ?? but everyone thinks you got it going on. HA slowly I like her again! Now to hate Giselle the one who done my Kellan wrong!Julian well I cant spoil things and you are hotLastly for my loves was the character Olivia, Victory has a best friend who is great. She charms you, loves you fiercely and can sing.

Things for Victory Payne have changed. She's formed a band with her best friends. She's got a good job that she loves. She's just getting started on her pseudo music career. But someone from her past threatens to change it and ruin her dreams. Kellan Burns has good things going for him. He's got a band together for the L.A. Gunslingers Battle of the Bands. He works with Victory and the Rock & Roll High School. The best part is he just realized his feelings for Victory. After what happened with Giselle, does he admit them to her? I love all the musical references this book has. The story of Kellan Burns and Victory Payne is not your typical romance novel. Sure it has romance but not the instant hook up that most romance novels have. I like how different this book is. Its about two people who have the instant attraction but are afraid to be together because of past experiences. When they finally get over their past and decide they want to be together they commit completely and I love it. Just like the other 2 books this one has the details that I love and it has even more music than the other books. I can totally relate to this story and it seems very realistic.I would highly recommend this book.

This and more reviews at The Book Bar.coRating: Top Shelf by Guest Bartender, HayleyThis series is based on the rock and roll scene with a girl named Victory. She has been part of the band, Slave Skin, since it first started out. Whilst gigging, she stumbles across golden boy Kellan Burns and finds herself attracted to him. When boyfriend and lead singer, Scott Walker, and the band mates sign a record contract that doesn't involve Victory, things go down hill fast. After the gig, she finds herself out of the band without a home and living in her car with nothing but her guitar and amp. to keep her company.Victory runs into the handsome Kellan Burns, who also plays guitar, and they have a instant connection. Kellan knows Victory has been sleeping in her car and offers her the couch but the attraction between them keeps Victory from easy sleep.  They jam together, and between the two, they have ideas of where their future could lead.Victory is desperately trying to get her life back in order; she has a part time job working in a guitar shop and finds herself living with her boss and wife whilst she gets herself back on her feet again. When Julian walks through the door and asks Victory to demonstrate a $30,000 guitar for him, he knows she is the best guitarist and asks her to work with him on soundtracks for commercials that would earn her big money. With all these hot men trying to pursue Victory, her only concern is trying to get a band together and ready for the "Gunslingers" competition. Whilst working alongside Kellan at the rock and roll high school, Victory finds herself drawn to him. When he forms a band and the new guitarist is the gorgeous Switchblade, Victory finds herself somewhat jealous. The ending to this series takes a dramatic turn and things end a fantastic way.Devon has written a hot rock and roll series that well deserves the full 5*s.  This series is in three parts, but they are all ready to download so theres no waiting around at all.If your into rockers, and hot ones at that, this series is for you !!!!

Well this is the one I've been waiting for. And it was worth the wait to see where Victory and Kellan's story was going. I knew when Devon said he was doing these books and they would be broke up that I would go mad with the waiting AND of course I was right. Even if the wait was only a little one. Waiting just SUCKS! LOL! So this starts off kinda where we left book two. Victory is still all kinda of angry at Kellan. And who can blame her. We heard the phone conversation he was having right? Who does he think he is!!?? KELLAN BURNS that's who! So of course Kellan is just as made as Victory. For different reasons of course. To him Victory just packed up her stuff and left. No 'This is why I'm leaving' OR 'Cya later' NOTHING! So as soon as he see's her he is PISSED OFF. Yeeeeah he still wants her, but in his head who wouldn't? Doesn't mean looking at her can't make him pissed and Horny.....But while he's off been all moody, she's out doing her thing trying to get a job and live the dream of been a performer. And in that mix is Julian..... I really don't know how I feel about Julian. Its like Devon through a bomb into the book and walked off smiling. We want her to be with Kellan. YET in my head I'm like 'what if.....' It was very unsettling! As you will find out. AND I hope like me, you will wanna kill Devon also, cause he deserves it. And yeah this book is more then just the ending of 'there' story. In many ways its only the beginning. Its about love and loss. And people who are finding there way back to one another. Also showing you should never be looking down on someone unless your there to help them back up. That is what Kellan and a number of other people do in this book for Victory. Even though Scott and his Posey where DUMBASSES, doesn't mean everyone out there is.I laughed so much reading this. Devon's humour and one lines are hilarious. I'm still laughing thinking of it. And just when I think that's it, that its LOL's till the end...He smacks me in the face and makes me CRY! Yep, he went there!!! So you really get more then you bargained for with this book. AND I would love more from these characters....Mmmmmm who know's......

If you love rockers and music, this series is for you! Yes, it evolves from a foundation of a love story, but this series is so much more. Our main character Victory Payne's journey to achieving her goal, playing her guitar and belonging to a successful band, is depicted here in all its rawness, intimacy, and gut-wrenching reality. It is an eye-opener to the journey a musician must endure and persist in with a dedication that absorbs all their energy and will-power as they are tested time and time again.Left homeless, without a band, and dumped by her boyfriend/band leader, Victory is left to survive based on her wits, friends, and the kindness of strangers. It is her unmovable determination to survive that compels her. Everyone she meets cannot but realize her single purpose to survive makes her unique. Her focus remains on her goal, even though she is human and in need of love and compassion. Kellan Burns comes into her life just as she hits rock bottom. What starts as fan based attraction, develops into a friendship and collaboration that will touch your hearts.Pursuing a dream is never easy. It is the struggle that makes it worthwhile. These are words we hear all the time. Our author Devon Hartford uses his gift for lyrical prose to help immerse us in this struggle, as silent spectators witnessing this story. The topic "from rags to riches" rocker stories are a dime a dozen. Few stories make an impact where your soul is involved in the plot line and you feel emotionally invested. I think I have found one of those few and do not hesitate to recommend this series to those of you who are looking for a love story that goes beyond hot romantic scenes."My whole life I searched for you, my need like a disease. I can't live without your love; you bring me to my knees" - My Whole Life lyrics sung by Kellan Burns

What I have loved about these books is the pure passion for music, it's not only the characters but the author truly embeds the music throughout the book, it's not just another rock star series. During VR3 Victory and Kellan start working together at a music school and both sexual tension and frustration ribs through them, there is still the case of miscommunication but both are still too pissed to ask the other about it. While working together they are both preparing their own separate bands to preform at GunSlingers the big battle of the bands competition coming soon. Victory also spends done time with Mr Hottie, Julian who takes her to a watch a music video shoot. They click, but Victory still has strong feeling for Kellan, who wouldn'?Kellan and Victory start to settle into a good friendship again which I loved, but both kind of wanting different things. Victory won't sleep with Kellan if she is in his band and Kellan won't keep with Victory unless she is in the band, bless him he wants all of her. But the fun and sexy banter will have you laughing throughout the book. The huge Gunslingers competition arrives and things go from bad to worse for Victory but Mr Panty-Melt Kellan Burns steps in to help. Go Kellan! Kellan and his band help Victory get her shot on stage and she blows everyone away! Does she win or not... Not saying ;)After the completion Victory decides enough is enough with Kellan and she wants him all as well. But things spiral downward again for both Victory and Kellan when two people from Kellan's past appear. I loved the tension throughout the book and the ending... Now we just have to wait for Victory True book 4! 5 starsReviewed by: AmyEye Candy Bookstore (Manager)

Reviewed on behalf of Give Me BooksIn my opinion, the best book in the series! Victory has a new band, as does Kellan. Both are looking to win the grand prize at a “battle of the bands” put on by a local music store. In this book you get the story behind Victory and why she refuses to sing. Can she move past her demons and become who she really wants to be? Or will they drag her down further? She stands her ground for a long time and her walls are strong and fortified. She drove me crazy, made me cry, and made me laugh. She makes decisions based on her past, but that is not always the best way.Kellan is shows his true colors in this book. Wow! He is a frustrating male who sticks to his guns and does everything in the book to get his way. His inner dialog, at times, made me want to climb into the book and shake the crap out of him! His past comes back to him in the end, but is he strong enough to change his ways and go after what he really wants?Even though Devon writes in first person, he did a great job. I usually can’t stand books that change perspective between characters, but this one did justice to both characters. Obviously Devon is not a woman, but he seems to have figured out how we tick. He writes with the knowledge of his subject that we rarely see in a book, and I enjoyed every last page!!

Reviewer: Donna Rating: 5 Stars**Copy received from author in exchange for an honest review**Victory Run 3 is by far my favourite book out of the series and i really do love the way the books continue on and even the chapters do that too. Victory is a very complicated women at times and in this book, she seems to be more complicated as the story progresses. She doesn't seem to know where she wants to take her music, what she wants to do with the attraction with Kellan and i feel really sorry for her as not a lot of things go right for her at all. Sometimes i couldn't help by groan or laugh with the amount of situations that occur and she always has to find a solution if there is one. In Victory Run 3 we finally get to understand more about Victory and why she doesn't ever want to sing again. I found that to be quite an emotional part of the book and i love the deeper understanding we get about Victory. There isn't many emotional parts to this series but this one was definitely a really good one and it gave Victory as a character, more depth. There were a few funny moments in Victory Run 3 which were fantastic and the things Victory does to perform are hilarious!A really fabulous ending to this series and definitely would love to find out more about Victory and Kellan's futures together and as musicians.

This is definitely my favourite of the 3 so far. This author now has me wrapped around his little finger. Life starts to pick up for Victory. She forms a band with some friends, she had a decent job that she loves and she is pretty much getting started on working on her music career. The attraction between Kellan and Victory is off the charts and Kellan realizes his deep feelings for her. He is so afraid to act on them because of what happened with Giselle and can you blame him? They end up working together, and with Julian all about being around Victory, Kellan ends up with a female guitarist named switchblade constantly by his side. This puts Victory on the back burner for the time being for Kellan and they end up falling into a friendship. But with the cute humor and flirty banter…..well, I don’t want to give too much away but it’s awesome…This one has quite a bit of angst and a few twists and I loved it. I loved the ending. I really love the music in the book. In all 3 actually. Some great musicians are referenced and it’s definitely music I can relate too and I love that.I need a book 4. I need Kellan and Victory to have their chance together. I don’t know if they will but a girl can hope right ?I can’t wait for the next installment.

I received a copy of this story to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review. Victory Payne is one of the best female shredders and all she wants is to play her guitar. Kellan Burns is a music man too but he could be a model with his good looks and suave demeanor. When Victory finally realizes that she and Kellan belong together, she only wants to sleep with him, not be in a band with him. He will take her as a band member over sex any day. Victory can't believe that a guy like Kellan would turn down sex for a band member. With the Guitar Central show and $5,000 on the line, Victory must win so she can pay Johnny back for the guitar that got smashed. When things go from bad to worse for Victory at the show, Kellan is there to save the day. Will she be able to let him help her? Can Kellan make her see just how good the music is that they can make together? I enjoyed this story, although it did seem to drag in places, I still want more. I need to know what happens with Victory and Kellan and all their friends. And what will happen with Julian and Layce?

ok so I waited to write my review till I read all three books so this is for all three cause after reading the first two I couldn't write a review cause I had to have more and I would hate not to do the book justice cause I was left hanging on the edge of my seat waiting for what happened next. Now with that said I loved the books, and can't wait to see what Devon has for us next. This story is very rocker romance and while some one (like me) who knows nothing about playing in a band and all the tech terms that go with it may get lost at certain points the story was good enough to keep me reading to find out what happened. The story was about Victory who is very good at what she does and that is shredding after being kicked out of the band by the lead singer who is also her boyfriend and dumped she is homeless and helped by a man who has trouble written all over him and stirs things in her she is trying to deny will she overcome she past and the guilt she carries from it to find her way to fame read to find out and i'm sure you won't regret it at all another great work by Devon Hartford can't wait to see what new adventure he takes us on

Honestly five stars should be fifteen stars as this book brought it all home and full circle*****5 Stars*****This has to be without a doubt the best series I have read in a while.....from book one to book three I was captivated and on a total rock-n-roll journey, with a complete girl-crush on Victory!! Not to mention 'brown eyes' aka Kellan Burns....with Payne and Burns you can't help but feel the heat from those two! Questions from the previous books are answered as it comes to a close with book three. However, I am holding out hope that the author will continue with Victory and Kellan's stories. They are addicting and so well written, honestly would love to see them in concert and hear Kellans song to Victory and Victorys song (*tears*). I loved this book on so many more levels than the first two that honestly five stars should be fifteen stars as this book brought it all home and full circle. Can't wait for more from this author and would absolutely recommend this series to all romance lovers and rock-n-roll rockers!!

Book: Victory Run 3Author: Devon HartfordPublication Date: Reviewed by: Tammy Payne- Book Nook Nuts My Rating: 5 Stars REVIEW We pickup in this book where we were left from book 2. Victory is now teaching at the Rock and Roll music school where Kellan works. Victory is now making a band with her good friend Olivia and 2 guys she knows who are twins no less. Kellen can’t get Victory out of his mind and dreams about her often. Victory also has some pretty hot dreams of Kellan. Will they finally find their way to each other? Victory finally breaks down and lets Kellan know about her life and why singing is not apart of it.The night finally comes for the big blow out at the Gunslinger. Kellan will perform with his band and Victory with hers if their band mates make it on time. Victory and Kellan both have demons of the past to work through so If this couple can come out with a Happily Ever After well I am not sure as we didn’t get one in the book. This book is well written and I enjoyed reading it.

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."This is the third book in the series and you need to read previous two to get the full picture. The story in total (although we are promised three more books at the end) is good - but I did feel that installment went on for too long - 438 pages per Amazon listing. After two quite short and sharp novellas, this was a mighty tome, and yet really only took us forward a few paces. Again, there were scenes I really liked, lots of funny stuff, some serious issues dealt with, but also a lot of faffing. The overall story was good, and I enjoyed the background, but just too many chapters where really nothing happened.

OMG I would definitely rate this as 5+ stars! why did it end when it did? Devon I definitely want the story to continue so please get writing, where this book ends is just the beginning. As you are aware I could not really see the purpose of Book 2, but Book 3 was amazing, the story grips you throughout, I actually thought it was not going to end how it did and became slightly worried you were going to do a H M Ward and string it out for 15 books (the Arrangement) but thank goodness you didn't. I love Victory she's cool In Every way possible and she deserves to succeed, what a snake Julian is and who would have thought Kellen's history with Julian was that. You wove that into the plot so well and I loved how the characters thoughts are included in the script. I finished the story eagerly anticipating the next instalments.

First I have to say that I love Devon's writing. He has his own way of making you love and hate characters that you don't always get with other authors. Victory Run is all about Victory Payne and her quest to be the baddest guitar bitch out there. No matter how many obstacles get thrown in her way, she is bound and determined to make it on her own terms. No one will ever tell Victory she can't do it without her wanting to prove them wrong. However, Kellan is a pretty boy whose dream is to make it big with a band. Will he ever be able to convince Victory that they aren't meant to form a band?!? I loved all three of these books and I can't wait to read more.

Victory RUN 3I loved it! I wish that was enough but I have to tell you - I don't play any instruments but while I was reading this book I felt like I'm there, on a stage with Victory and Kellan. Besides, reading about all the bands from way back when brought back memories. I grew up when those bands started! Devon knows music, knows heavy metal, knows band's workings. He also relates to young generation of today and portrays it perfectly.I've got to thank Devon for Aleksandra. I feel honored.

Mr Devon Hartford has done it again. Thoroughly enjoyed the previous trilogy - Painless (The Story of Samantha and the ever hot Christos)Didn't think I'd be into "rock" stories but I am now. Fantastic series - had me hooked from the first book. Great story with the super hot slightly timid rock chick Victory and "melt-in-the-mouth" Kellan.... and I'll even admit to a few tears towards the end of this book !! Really hope this story continues .. I need to know what happens. Mr H you totally rock! :-)

Why I have not rated higher? Because this book is incomplete to me. I m sorry but I just bought the 3 books when I noticed the third one advertised as the "conclusion" of the story but got disappointed when I got to the end and we get asked to vote if we want to read more about Victory. I want to have the end at book 3 and not have an incomplete book. Lots of questions unanswered in book 3. The story is interesting and well written. Not very steamy but still good read but I will not buy another book in this series if any comes out.

Finally a complete book which ties together all threads and explains a lot. I was glad that Victory ended up with Kellan - he seemed more adequate to her than Julian who ennded up to be sort of a dick. I cried, I laughed and I liked the book a lot. Still, there were some illogical twists and behaviours so I cant rate it higher. Yes, it seems to be the beginning of a journey for both Victory and Kellan but I don't think I will want to read other books - lets dream about their happily ever after.

Victory is so infectious and I now understand all the things that she was going through. Devon Hartford please continue to write more of Victory and Kellan's story. Devon delivered what appears to be the happy ending of what to people were looking for. Victory and Kellan worked hard to over come somethings in their past to start to build a love that will last in Rock n Roll. I cannot wait to see were Devon goes with the start of a new band and new relationship for them both.

Received a complimentary copy for an honest review...Another great series, that has an inkling of a few more books...**Yay** Loved the characters and the different rock and roll story. The twist at the end was totally unexpected from Julian and Layce. Did NOT see that one coming..Can't wait to read the next books, when they're ready.
