It’s been one year since I read the second book in the Dwellers of Ahwahnee series but I remembered all the characters, just as if I had read it yesterday. The background story and characters stayed with me. It’s that kind of book. It’s that good. It’s the kind of book you will always remember. In this, the third in the series, we move on to the next generation of dwellers. One of the two children of Oria and Grey Wolf, Spirit Walker is the main character, although author Sheryl Seal skillfully changes narrators and writes in the first person. This gives the reader a chance to really get to know the characters. While Grey Wolf is in a dark place, his only means of survival is to reminisce about the most wonderful times of his life with his beloved Oria. As Grey Wolf retreats into his memory to escape the horror of his current reality, the author skillfully describes the sexual experiences of Grey Wolf’s memories in the most beautiful and romantic way. I don’t believe I have ever read sexual passages as beautiful and romantic as Grey Wolf’s memories. Each of the stories in this series has its own charm so I don’t want to say that one is better than the other. What I can say about Beyond the World of Man is that it seems to be the most passionate. It’s an emotional journey that can quickly go from breathtaking excitement to the depths of pure despair and then quickly become uplifting and inspirational.Native American words of wisdom and poetry are sprinkled throughout the book and when you combine those relevant words with the actions of the characters in the story, you may realize as I did that we have much to learn from the wisdom of our Indian neighbors. Everyone should read the Dwellers of Ahwahnee series. Highly recommended.

Beyond the World of Man is the third chapter of the Dwellers of Ahwahnee series. I have to say that maybe this is the most intimate book of the three, probably because of the use of the "journal" way of telling the story. Author Sheryl Seal had the courage to go on with her saga making her characters get old. Oria is now a mother who helps her daughter, Spirit Walker, to protect their tribe and the World of Man from the new enemy. The uncontaminated and wonderful world of nature and magic described by Mrs Seal is always present, but it leaves more space to a sort of catastrophic vision of "our" world as we know it, destroyed by the humanity's mistakes (and the Demon Goblins). Through Oria's journal, Spirit Walker will understand how everything begins to her family and how her parents managed to save both dimensions from the madness of the bad guys. There's also a space for romance with the love story between Oria and Grey Wolf. As an author myself I really envy the gift Mrs Seal has when describing love and sentiments. She uses tender and passionate words even when talking about sex related stuff. Not falling into the "erotica" tone of voice in these cases is not easy, so kudos to her. Folklore and popular tradition are the main background topics of the story: if you don't know anything about native American this is a great asset to start falling into it. Highly recommended, as the entire Dwellers of Ahwahnee saga. I seriously hope that Mrs Seal will keep going with this series, so I am waiting for chapter No4!

Beyond The World Of Man by Sheryl Seal is a magical action/adventure novel featuring the Wildcat, a young woman who discovers she is a Spirit Walker of the Ahwahneechee tribe. It is an apocalyptic time in history as the world is being torn asunder by natural catastrophes. Wildcat’s parents, Grey Wolf and Oria, seek refuge in the mystical World of Man. Only there is a power struggle within the Great Beyond that reverberates into the Village of Lost Souls where the Wildcat has taken refuge. She eventually learns that she is foreordained to become the Golden Queen, yet there are those with their own agenda who she must overcome in order to realize her destiny. The author employs both first-person and third-person narratives in bringing the reader into the storyline. There is a transitional subplot as Wildcat’s mother Oria is recognized as the Golden Queen, though the Demon Goblins pose a threat to her dominion. They have been using their abilities as shapeshifters for evil, and Brave Eagle is among those with the power who the Dwellers will have to rely on for survival. Wildcat finds herself attracted to the young warrior, but will he be the one to help her redeem her family and her tribe? You’ll have to buy the book to find out. Pick up a copy of Beyond The World Of Man by Sheryl Seal, you’ll be glad you did.

"Beyond the World of Man (Dwellers of Ahwahnee, #3)" by Sheryl Seal is every bit as beautiful as its predecessors.Once again Oria takes centre stage in her wonderful and magical world. This story begins with Spirit Walker listening to her grandmother about her legacy. She also receives her mother's journal to read. She learns to see things from her mother's point of view, a little more about the history of her tribe and also about the destruction of the world of man.Oria will soon become the new Golden Queen of the Ahwahneechees with a lot of responsibility for her 'people'.I loved the main character with her goodness and the wonderful fantasy world that Seal has created. The destruction of the world of man is a much needed reminder for us readers about the danger for the wonders of the earth and also of the needed respect which the Native Indians had for the world. The fantasy elements, such as shapeshifting, added magical beauty to the writing, as do the descriptive details about the magical land they inhabit.

Beyond The World Of Man Rich with Native American Wisdom! The third book in the Dwellers of Ahwahnee series is rich with the Native American culture. Each chapter starts with a Native American poem which relates pefectly with the chapters. The daughter of Oria, Spirit Walker, is destined to lead the tribe and must find her way through the mystical journal that her mother has left behind. The words of the journal are hidden from evil and only the next Golden Queen can read the words written on the pages. This is the only hope for the Ahwahneechee tribe to survive. This is a wonderful inspirational journey that author Shery Seal has written and I have enjoyed the entire series, maybe there will be another book from this talented author! I was gifted this book for a review and recommend The Dwellers of Ahwahnee series for a great read!

Beyond the World of Man (Dwellers of Ahwahnee) by Sheryl SealAdventure and beauty! The third book in the series and again, another spectacular fantasy read. Both of the first two books are superb and this one is no exception. You are pulled into magical lands of spirits, shapeshifters and is over-spilling of descriptive scenes, welll-developed characters and wonderful writing.Native American traditions as often known delve into the spiritual and supernatural worlds - in these great stories, this is where you will choose to walk. Magic abound the Dwellers of Ahwahnee protect among the chaos that destiny provides. The three books sustain a strong plot and keep the reader turning the pages, while experiencing true morals and the players of good verses evil. I have read each one of the books in this series and I must say that I was not disappointed at all. The author's details are amazing in which you can picture everything in your mind vividly. All of her books tend to play out in my head like a movie. The part of the story that talks of Falling Rock had my undivided attention for at least thirty minutes after I read it. I was thinking of all the times I've seen that particular sign while on the road to visit my family. Who knows, maybe we've all seen him once upon a time. The way Sheryl describes each disaster and the cause makes you wonder about the reality of it all. The love between the protagonist's parents has been undeniable throughout the series. The communication between mother and daughter by way of the journal was a splendid ideal. Oria seemed to know exactly what her daughter would be doing while reading her words. These books are a page turner without a shadow of a doubt. I highly recommend this series, especially this particular one.

Sometimes rebellion can be a good thing if it gives you the backbone that you need to be a warrior. Sometimes it can be a bad thing because without wisdom how can you rule your people? The heroine is finding out that it isn't just about her anymore. It was interesting watching her go through the process of growing up. I like the way that this was written in journal form because it let us see firsthand what she went through emotionally.Great read and a great price too.

This is my third book in the series of Dwellers of the Ahwahnee Trilogy. I have to say Beyond the World of Man is by far the most spiritual. Here Oria’s daughter, Spirit Walker searches to save her mother and father from a new and most powerful evil that is out to destroy the Dwellers. Spirit Walker faces the battle of a lifetime as she not only tries to save her mother Golden Queen but must come to terms with taking on a new role herself as the new leader of her people. There is on your toes action in this story balanced with reflection on life from the elders which sparked my emotions as I thought how much what was said is a direct correlation to what is happening in our world today. Some of the most beautiful poems are placed throughout the book which correspond to each chapter. Author Sheryl Seal has managed to use her knowledge of Native American lore and weave her words of magic once again.

This latest superb, riveting book in the series pursues the story of the perpetual struggle against evil waged by the Dwellers of Ahwahnee, and their attempt to protect as much as possible the World of Man. Oria’s daughter, Spirit Walker, a shapeshifting Golden Queen with supernatural powers in her own right, takes up the reins. We also meet the dashing and muscle-rippling Brave Eagle, towards whom Spirit Walker experiences strong and ambivalent reactions…The story follows on from the devastation of the World of Man through war and natural disasters, and the death of countless millions, and the emergence out of that chaos of a monstrous, shapeshifting, foul-smelling breed of fearsome opponents, the Demon Goblins. Spirit Walker’s parents, Grey Wolf and Oria, are captured by one such monster, out for world domination, and there then ensues a rescue attempt led by Spirit Walker herself, and a fearsome battle between the Dwellers of Ahwahnee and the goblins. We are kept on the edge of our seats as to the eventual outcome…Might someone have to make the supreme sacrifice in order to guarantee victory? Check this amazing story out.

Sheryl Seal's BEYOND THE WORLD OF MAN, the third book in her DWELLERS OF AHWAHNEE series, certainly lives up to my expectations. It had been on my TO READ list for a while, so I was thrilled to receive it as a gift in exchange for an honest review. The story, told in journal form, presents such an intimate, spiritual side of the characters that the reader can't help but bond with them.Vivid Native American imagery, believable characters and a well paced plot make this a book to be reckoned with.

The third installment in the Dwellers of Ahwahee series is a wonderful adventure that continues in grand fashion. The folklore, magic, and shapeshifters captured my attention and never let go. I was totally vested in the characters, especially Wildcat, a Spirit Walker of the Ahwahneechee tribe who has to overcome great obstacles to fulfill her destiny. I recommend the entire trilogy.

Beyond The World of Man (Dwellers of Ahwahnee Book 3) by Author Sheryl Seal "Beyond The World of Man" by talented Author Sheryl Seal is the third installment in the fictional series of the Ahwahnee Tribe.Once again I would like to say how much I have always enjoyed Native American stories and legends and this third novel lives up to the previous two and fulfills my pleasure of reading this genre of book.At the end of Book 2, there was a separation between two worldly dimensions....a purer world of spirit life, magical and dreamlike and a contaminated world filled with the consequences of human error and misfortune. The people separated from the corrupt world were in the process of making their way back. Book 3 continues with the saga of Oria, a "shape shifter" and the Golden Queen and her soul mate Grey Wolf. Oria is a much older woman and mother and she is now in a position to guide her daughter, Spirit Walker, in much the same way that she previously received guidance from her elders. She has prepared a journal for Spirit Walker to be read as she matures and her mind expands in order to grasp her role as Golden Queen. Of course the battle between good and evil continues as it takes on its apocalyptic overtones.Author Sheryl Seal is a gifted storyteller and once again she takes her reading audience on an incredible journey. They enter into a magical word of dreams, power, and all kinds of incredible choices and possibilities. As is the pattern with this talented author's writing, there is much wisdom shared in this fictional novel. Many sage words and adages are shared at the beginning of each chapter and woven throughout the story line in order to enhance the reading experience. One such example that touched my heart is "A wise woman has the inner wisdom of her mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and also the wisdom of her Divine girl child." Good stuff!Inspirational Author & Book Reviewer ~ Dolores Ayottehttp://www.amazon.com/Up-The-Down-Lad...

Sheryl continues to provide strong memorable characters in this the third installment in the Dwellers of Ahwahee series and she is continuing to provide top notch entertainment. Though I am typically not a fantasy reader, Sheryl brings the story to life with such clarity and intimacy, as a reader, you cannot help but get engrossed. Sheryl blends fantasy with popular Native American themes to bring about a unique and sensual tale of love and courage. If you’re a fan of fantasy or romance this book is the perfect vacation read. I highly recommend it. FIVE STARS!!!!!

I've read the previous books in this series and loved them, and this one is even better. As in the earlier books, the story is centered around Oria and the Grey Wolf -- the characters I love! I loved the shape-shifting, the magic, the Native American stories (so exotic and amazing to me!) and the beautiful descriptions of nature. I absolutely loved the poems interspersed through the book. Wonderful series!

Beyond the World of Man is the third instalment and is a much more intimate, personal experience this time round through the use of a journal. Oria has grown old and her daughter, Spirit Walker is our new protagonist who must do all she can to protect her kind. The story is told sensitively, with vivid imagery and an exciting plot. Can't wait to read more.
