Shousetsu Finder no Rakuin (fan dubbed Stigma in the Finder) is a one-volume side story of the Finder series focusing on what happens to Liu Fei Long after the events of Truth in the Finder. (Vol. 5)German or Japanese speaking fans should definitely show their support by purchasing the paperback edition of Ayano Yamane's amazing spinoff novel, but what's a poor, English speaking Feilong fangirl to do? Fear not, there is an English fan translation available online:http://sakurayuki523.tumblr.com/post/...Some would claim that a light novel like Stigma in the Finder can't possibly be worthy of a five star rating, but goddamnit, I’m awarding it the full five for enjoyability. Aaaaaaall the stars!I loved the hell out of this story and its lethally cool protagonist (with a warm heart buried so deep he's practically in denial of its existence.) As the leader of the Baishe/Hong Kong based mafia, he's forced to make ruthless decisions, but there's so much more to the guy, like his obvious protectiveness of Tao, his willing debasement for the kid's sake, his surprisingly lenient treatment of Yoh once his betrayal is exposed... and his loneliness.. True to the mangas, there is a smexy scene in this light novel as well. While his partner is not my personal favorite (that would a certain Yakuza boss and his nosy photographer) Yoh was still a good choicesubstitutefor Asami and Akihito - just this once;-) I would have been far less forgiving had Ayano Yamane not mentioned in the postscript that Feilong still has got his sight firmly set on Asami. (Which of course leads to the delightfully smutty, not to mention most anticipated threesome ever, in Hard-working Cameraman Akihito Takaba's Romantic Life as an Indentured Servant later on;-))) (Takes place after the events in volume 6)As previously mentioned, this is not a manga, but the mangaka has gifted us with a beautifully drawn bonus scene. I adored Feilong's "disturbing" dream and can certainly understand why it left him conflicted. The lightning scene with Tao was simply put; adorable! Not to mention: Ayano's hints of a entire manga devoted to Feilong some time in the future made my heart soar.My only problem is that Tao appears far younger than 12 years old in the mangas, but hey, if Ayano says he is 12/13 years old I guess I can live with it.
