Turning the Darkness Reviews
Turning the Darkness is an apocalyptic horror mixed with bits of science fiction and fantasy. A group a scientists accidentally open a portal to hell in a groundbreaking experiment gone horribly wrong. Demons escape. Awfulness ensues.I was thoroughly engrossed in this book from the beginning countdown. We get a little taste of everything from witches to werewolves and demons to psychics. Becoming bogged down with such large cast could have been easy, but the author does an amazing job of creating unassuming and interesting characters that kept me turning pages well into the night. I loved watching them evolve as they attempt to save the earth from certain destruction. The writing flows quickly and purposefully, the plot is imaginative, and the characters are some that I’ll remember forever.
Another hit out of the Park! This will answer many questions from Valkyrie Road and leave you with many others. Its fast paced, twisting and will challenge your views on the Left Hand of God. What I want to know is how did the other religions take it when they realized Christianity got Hell right. There are many stories to still be told - how did other nations do, were they better off because the Gate was in the US, was New Zealand over run with refuges, what happened to those left behind after the Gate closed? SOO many stories yet to come! As was mentioned by a certain character " there are more worlds than we can imagine"
Fun and slightly creepy !I rarely read a book and like most or all of the main characters, author did a fine job of that. There weren't any dull parts of the book. Highly recommended !!
Very good Tony BowmanI don't give 5 stars very often, but I really enjoyed this book, I highly recommend it, this book is so full of action that you don't want to stop reading.
Title: TURNING THE DARKNESS: A Novel of Post-Apocalyptic HorrorAuthor: Tony BowmanType of Book: SoftcoverLength: 537 pagesGenre: Post-Apocalyptic HorrorRelease Date: May 12, 2014Publisher: Tony Bowman Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ~ I received a free paperback copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. A science experiment to teleport an item from one city to another has unexpected consequences. A portal to Hell has been opened and demons and other creatures of darkness pour through the opening and into the world of mankind. The fate of humanity rests in the hands of an unlikely trio: a witch, a priest who has lost his faith and a reluctant psychic who drinks to drown out the voices in his head. There are a multitude of things I love about Tony Bowman's books. First & foremost is the fact that they are literally impossible to put down once you start reading. If you did not know, this book is over 500 pages long. To keep the reader of such a huge story engaged (in fact, entranced) during such a massive story is an amazing feat. There are only a few days left until Christmas and I have a ton of things I need to do. So, on my only day off what did I do? Did I get any of my tasks completed? Or even started? NOPE! I picked up TURNING THE DARKNESS and spent the entire day immersed in Tony Bowman's imagination. And I do not regret a single minute!Tony Bowman may not yet be a household name, but his stories deserve any and all attention they can get. I have little doubt that if Tony's work gets discovered by the right person, he will become a bestselling author. So, now is the time to get your hands on a copy of his books, before they sell out everywhere. You will not regret it! I am 100% convinced that Tony Bowman's book need to be added to everyone's TBR (To Be Read) list. Have I gotten through to those of you reading this review? I hope so.Where else can you read a story filled with demons, witches, vampires, werewolves, priests, militia, ghouls and God and actually feel that the story is completely plausible? That is no easy task, yet this book is exactly that.I rate this book as high as possible which is 5 out of 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Search Tony Bowman on my blog to read reviews of his other books.
