Read and Reviewed for: Perusing Princesses BlogWebsite: www.perusingprincesses.comBlogger: @peruseprincess"A riveting story depicting the 'power of music'. Fallen for Rock is one hot rock 'n' roll thrill ride you do not want to miss!" - Kelly, Perusing Princesses Emily Trenden is a successful young woman who thought she had it all. A nice apartment, a well-paid job in investment banking, and a wardrobe full of designer labels. Alas, she is also a stuck-up professional who has lost sight of what it means to let go and have some fun. Emily has lost a side of herself. She has become selfish and jaded, her preconceptions of the 'common rocker' was that of mild distaste, which evidently aided in her losing the love of her life. But Emily's life is about to take a little detour, when a laminated VIP pass into the world of Rock changes everything... including herself.*Experiencing Emily's transition was a real treat, and I love how this isn't in fact a 'love story', but more of a journey of self-discovery - musically and personally. Mike may be somewhat of a distraction, a notorious rock star playboy, but he opens her eyes to a bigger world when she finds herself not only 'falling for rock' but also finding herself in the process.I love how Nicky Wells has taken the bull by the literary horns and embraced the whole sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll theme, but without it coming across seedy and too risqué. Her characters, although imperfect, were likeable and the friendship that formed between our two main protagonists while stuck on a crowded tour bus for 'one week only' gave a refreshing twist on what could have been just another formulaic 'rock star meets girl next door' romance. In-fact, quite the opposite... as Bon Jovi once said; 'This ain't a love song.'However, that doesn't mean there are no tummy-tingling heartfelt moments - trust me, there are certainly one or two of those!Mike... oh my, the boy doesn't mess around! He stoked the fire ladies, so be prepared for a cold shower after one sexually explosive backstage scene that scratched more then just an itch, if ya know what I mean... ;)Fallen for Rock has a great hook, because it is different and doesn't focus entirely on bedroom theatrics and notorious bad boy ways, but more on budding friendships, personal soul-searching and mending ways.A fun, witty, rock 'n' roll thrill ride with true British edge that will appeal to fans of contemporary romance and music lovers, everywhere! This is a standalone read with an HEA. READ IT!

**4.5 Stars**Fallen for Rock was such an entertaining read. Watching as Emily grew and matured was fascinating. And having a front row seat to witnessing the birth of a band? Awesome!Emily Trenden is a brilliant career woman. She makes difficult yet smart decisions daily in her job at an investment bank. She didn't, she now realizes, make a smart decision in dumping her boyfriend. And she's also realized her focus on her career has left her rather lonely.Enter Mike Loud and MonX. Emily - or rather her ex, Nate - won tickets to see the phenomenal new band, MonX. There are only a couple of problems - no Nate and Emily has this little issue of not liking rock 'n roll. At all. She attends the concert in an effort to win back Nate, and ends up meeting Mike. Mike Loud is the lead singer of MonX. He's an incredible musician and a charming, kind man, as Emily soon learns. And that's not all he teaches her. The fallout surrounding events in both their lives causes Emily and Mike to enter into a partnership. It's this partnership and spending much time with Mike that helps Emily learn a lot about herself, about love, and about the value of friendship.Although Nate isn't actually present for most of the book, Emily really pines for him. He's described as a nice buy but I couldn't help rooting for Mike as I got to know him much better. The journey Emily embarks on towards love, friendship, and fulfillment was captivating. She learns what's truly important to her. She finds her called. And she finds love. Seeing her blossom into the completely different woman - one who used the skill set she'd honed in a unfulfilling career AND found she adored rock music - was compelling.Fallen for Rock was fun. But it also touched on some deeper topics. Ms. Wells does an excellent job of creating engaging characters along with a charming story. I don't know that we'll see more from Fallen for Rock but I wouldn't complain about getting more of Mike. ;)**I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.**

I loved Fallen For Rock! Emily's unexpected journey into the world of rock, songwriting, and touring makes for an interesting story. Her narrative is conversational and convincing, too, making the book an easy read. As always, Nicky Wells has created musicians to fall for, and I also really liked the fact that one of her characters manages to turn their preference for classical music (and prejudice against rock) into an appreciation for both. Great music is great music, whatever its style! Finally, Emily's reinvention of herself - discovering what she wants, and then going for it - left me with a big smile. :)

I love band books, rockers and their wild nights… but there is something unique about Fallen For Rock and I just adored this book. I wanted Mike to take on the world when things got rough, I wanted Emily to decide that Mike wasn’t a rebound… I wanted so much from this book… but what I got was anything but what I expected. It was awesome!Emily doesn’t do rock. She doesn’t understand it and it really has no place in her world. She doesn’t operate that way. But her ex-boyfriend did. He lived it and loved it. But it was just too much for Emily to handle. He was just too obsessed with it. Ultimately that is what broke them up, but what happened after that was anything but what Emily was expecting.Nate had entered a contest when they were still together to win tickets to a MonX concert and VIP treatment. He won the concert and had the passes sent to Emily’s. Only problem… he wasn’t returning any of her calls, clearly done with the entire relationship. But she tried to contact him over and over to no avail. So she went to the show. This was going to be a new experience for her. She had never been to a rock concert. She had no idea what to expect. But everything she thought she was expecting turned into so much more when she ended up on the tour bus after spending a lot of time with Mike’s brother behind the scenes. When she finally met Mike, she decided that she was going to cut loose a little. Live a little, rock a little… She had taken time off from her job and this was her chance to get out there and experience life.I am not sure she was expecting what she got herself into, but once she was there, she knew she was going to take advantage of the situation she found herself in. Mike and Emily became fast friends, in and outside of the bedroom. But could there be potential for anything more there? Could she forget how much she loved Nate and just move on? Could Mike change who he was and want anything more than a fling with Emily? And what about the rest of the band? How will they react to their new traveling companion? This book was just amazing. It had fun twists and turns and new binds at every turn, but it was so much more than that. It was a great journey of self discovery. Emily finally had the chance to step away from her carefully planned life and find out who she really was. What she wanted out of life and she found the courage and determination to follow through with what she wanted and she found the strength to find love all over again.I will admit, I was a little nervous at the beginning when I found out that this would all be written in the language of the locale. I thought that it would be a bit distracting as I usually have to pause and remember where an author lives when words aren’t spelled the same and there are new twists on phrases that I am used to hearing. It typically makes me take pause when I come to words like realise and pyjamas and cute phrases that we say in everyday life, “He looked like a million pounds.” Now for those across the ocean these are normal words and phrases. But it worked really well in this book, because the scene was set in the location of the language. I actually grew really fond of it in this book. It doesn’t work in a lot of books, but in this one it does. This book was hot, it was sweet and it shows the power of friends, faith and staying true to who you are, even if you are rediscovering who you are supposed to be. Nicky Wells writes with a great passion for rock and it shows throughout the pages of this book.

4 CrownsI love a good Rock Romance. They are all based the other side of the pond, so imagine my excitement when I read the author's note and realised that Fallen for Rock is actually based here in the U.K. We have a fantastic rock pedigree here in blighty, so I knew this was going to be a fab slice of the U.K music scene... I wasn't wrong!Emily Trenton is a 27 year old City Banker. Her life consists of work, work and more work, leaving very little time for anything else. She loves Classical music and wears only designer clothes; so when she met Nate, a wannabe rock star, life was bound to get a little complicated. After a fun if not stressful 6 months, (putting up with his music and guitars) things come to a head and they split. We join the story as Emily receives VIP tickets for the newest big rock band MonX. Unbeknownst to her, Nate had entered a radio competition in her name. Of course she has heard of MonX, they were Nate's favourite band and he played their album non-stop; but they are certainly not her thing, so she is left with 2 tickets to a band she would never wish to see and without the boyfriend to share them with. After trying in earnest to get hold of Nate in the hope of sharing the tickets and rekindling their romance, she makes the decision to go it alone; hoping that her messages have reached Nate and he will be waiting for her with open arms. Alas, he isn't; but what waits for Emily at the Hammersmith Apollo will change her outlook on life, love and of course ROCK!Will Emily open her heart to the music? Will she open her mind to new experiences? and will she find her Carpe Diem moment?Well, I will leave you to find that out. What I will say is that this is a brilliant rock romance with a twist. It is sexy without it dominating the story, and it has a distinct British flavour to it. The characters are fun and interesting. Emily is a very straight and buttoned up character at the beginning of the book so I enjoyed watching the changes she makes throughout the book. I loved that you see her turning into someone that is happy, carefree and most importantly comfortable with themselves. Mike is the lead singer of MonX and is your quintessential British rocker. He opens Emily's eyes to how fun life can be if you give it a chance, he is a bloody sweetheart. There are a few other characters in the book, some more important then others; you will both like and dislike them. This is my 1st Nicky Wells read, but it certainly won't be my last. Nicky's writing is fun and above all witty. It flows of the page and sucks you into the world she has created. If you are looking for a light-hearted rock star read with love, friendship and self discovery - Fallen for Rock is a MUST READ!!

Having previously read Nicky's christmas novella Spirits of Christmas I was desperate to read Fallen for Rock. As soon as Nicky announced her blog tour I was there - me, me, me please - thank you so much for letting me be part of the tour and allowed to review such a fantastic book. This is a book that will alter perceptions, it's about love, hopes and dreams but most of all friendship and support. It made me smile, laugh out loud and sit with an inane grin on my face for most of the book.Emily was a buttoned up, straight woman more conscious of work and how she should look and behave than anything else. At the start of the book, there wasn't much fun in her life and Emily displayed an almost snooty attitude to rock, dumping her boyfriend because he didn't 'fit' in the desired mould. Lunch in a cafe, sharing a table with a stranger leads Emily to throw a sickie - something she had never done. That and winning VIP tickets to see MonX a rock band are the catalyst for a transformation. Emily is having second thoughts about dumping Nate her guitar playing, rock loving ex and decides going to the concert would be the best course of action rather than wasting the tickets especially as MonX were Nate's favourite band. One concert later, Emily is hooked and has been hooked by lead singer Mike - off on the road she goes. There are so many visions I have of what life on a tour bus would be like and smiled and laughed to myself as the story unfolded - often mirroring my minds image. The best part of this was watching Emily transform and grow before my eyes, supported by Mike who has got to be the kindest, gentlest man ever. Oh my - what a heart on legs! He genuinely grew to care about straight talking Emily, she wasn't the usual kind of groupie - her straight talking and honesty winning him over and he was a pussycat in disguise, a gentle man hiding behind the public 'rockstar' persona.Their relationship was pure lush to read. They were ying and yang to each other, bolstering the others character in equal measures. This book was a dream to read, who doesn't love a rock star? I was so sorry to see it end, Emily and Mike have got to be two of the nicest 'book friends' I've met in a long time.It just goes to show that sometimes it's good to break with convention, to let your hair down, to literally do a double fist drop and KERCHING who knows what life will throw at you if you open your mind and allow it. I'm now off to enter a few competitions for VIP, access all areas tickets on Rock FM.

Yay! Another brilliantly written Rock Star read from Author Nicky Wells! Nicky takes us on a very British journey of love, loss, fun and self-discovery all wrapped up in a fabulous Rock Star package.I adored work-a-holic Emily and her ‘never give up’, driven attitude and admired the way she threw caution to the wind to do something out of the ordinary for her, changing her life’s path after her perfectly planned life came crashing down on her. Sexy Mike, lead singer and guitarist of MonX was a temperamental Rock Star but I loved him. He and Emily brought out the best in each other and it was fun to watch. I certainly wouldn’t say no to a game of shots with that man! “Emily…” Mike’s voice was hoarse.“Mike.” Mine was breathy. Mike loomed tall and powerful above me, his liquid eyes swimming in and out of focus, his breath warm on my skin. He raised himself up on his elbows and held me in his gaze.“Emily,” he repeated, now with a distinct tremor. “I..I didn’t mean to…I didn’t come here to…”We are treated to a great insight into the life of a touring band and the process of building a new one from scratch, all with a bit of humour, a lot of hard work and a very British stiff upper lip! Mike raised his eyebrows but obliged. “Emily what goes on tour, stays on tour.”“No holds barred?”“Whatever rocks your world.”You will laugh out loud, groan at Emily’s mishaps, fan yourself at the HOT sex and want to find your very own sexy musician! Fallen for Rock was like a breath of fresh air after a run of dark reads and I loved it! I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a light, uplifting read, you will not be disappointed. While you’re at it, I also recommend you add her Rock Star Romance Series to your tbr too, seriously, everything Nicky writes is awesome!!An ARC was kindly provided by the Author for an honest review.Review posted at Love Between the Sheets Follow us on Facebook and Twitter

*Book provided by the author in exchange of an honest review*Emily doesn’t actually like rock music, she’s more of a classical kind of girl. Her ex-boyfriend Nate loved rock music and she broke up with him. Then she or rather Nate wins tickets for a concert. Emily tries to reach Nate, but he doesn’t seem to be around. So she decides to go to this rock gig by herself. There she meets Mike, lead singer of MonX. The two of them get along really well and a kiss leads to something more…The next morning Mike asks her to go on tour with them and she takes the chance! She finds herself enjoying the world of rock, but she’s not a groupie, is she?A published photo changes her life and not only hers, but Mike’s as well. She’s back in her life, but what does she really want? Also Mike is going through some drama and I was just so glad the two of them had each other. They developed a great and deep friendship, being able to talk about everything. The whole thing also showed Emily that she’s still in love with her ex Nate.I loved the scenes with Emily and Mike together, because they were a great team and they were there for each other. Together they developed a plan to start a new chap in life and when Mike is looking for new musician there he is: Nate…We find out what happened, why he didn’t answer and most importantly both Nate and Emily are honest about their feelings. Emily finally talks about her feelings with mike’s help and I totally loved that scene. The epilogue was a great ending for this fab story.I love the whole setting and atmosphere in the book. Music is part of my life and it’s great to be in this world in a book. Nicky found a great way to include this rock world in the book and it gives us readers a great insight to it. The way the story developed was awesome. There was a short part, where I didn’t find a connection, but that vanished soon and I was drawn into this world of music. The characters very were lively and I love reading about Emily’s and Mike’s friendship. There were also some flirty, passionate and sweet scenes, a great change to the atmosphere.Rating: 4.5

Ok… I promise that I’m not going to go all fan girl all over this review. I love Nicky’s writing, and she did not disappoint in this extremely cute, totally full of rock, romance. Somehow even though this is different from Nicky’s first few books, she still manages to have this quality to her characters and her plots that is always so unique and just so HER! And this just totally works for her writing. In Fallen For Rock we have Emily who is having a bit of a crisis. She is in a relationship with someone who loves Rock n Roll. I mean, this guy is the epitome of a Rock God with the talent, and looks but Emily doesn’t even realize what she has.Until he’s gone.Cue the drama please! So much happens that Emily has to make a change in her life. She is so unhappy and she realizes why but of course she realizes too late. It’s so true to life that it is sad but still very entertaining as Emily is one interesting gal. I loved watching her make changes to her life although I was not always sure if they were going to be good ones. And then comes Mike! I love him! For those that hate love triangles, do not worry, this is not a love triangle. Not of that type of drama is in this, just lots of other drama. But I think Mike is really good for Emily which had me curious about what she was going to do about Nate. It gave me conniptions throughout the book!I was left with a few questions, mostly about Nate, but nothing major by the end. Most of the questions were all cleared up and drama is gone. In short: I loved this. True to form, Nicky Wells did an amazing job, yet again, of bringing characters to life, of making me fall in love with those characters, and making me want more. I’m always wanting more! Not sure yet if this is going to be a series but Nicky did finish things up nicely in the prologue but not too nicely that more couldn’t be said. And I really do want more!4.5/5Thank you to the always fab rock chick Nicky for allowing me to read this for an honest review!

I always get excited when I know that Nicky Wells has a new book coming out. Why? Because they are absolutely amazing!!!! When it was first suggested to me way back that I check out her series of Rock Star romances I was initially skeptical. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved them. Nicky Wells delivers yet another action packed very sexy read in Fallen For Rock. Yet again, we have another rock star oozing sex appeal and charisma. I love the references to music throughout the book and found myself going and checking out the songs. And yes, I did end up buying Bon Jovi's greatest hits after I read the book. Each of the characters brings their own gifts to the story. Emily is strong willed and stubborn and I loved that about her. Despite her fears and reservations she goes on a journey of self discovery and becomes open to changes she would never have dreamed about. At the heart of it Love for two men in her life - the sex on legs Mike and her lost love Nate............both at very different spectrums of the love scale, but loved nonetheless. However, soon another love affair develops for Emily. A love affair with the rock star lifestyle and the music.Fallen for Rock will have you singing out loud, jumping for joy, crying along with Emily and jumping into the cold shower. How many books can you say will do all that? Yet again I have a book crush on another of Nicky's characters...........the bad boy of rock, Mike. His sex appeal and charisma jump off the page and like Emily, I'd have followed him anywhere!Fallen for Rock is about taking chances when your heart and head are in constant battle. Its about change and not sitting back waiting for the world to come to you............go out and grab it with both hands! Thank you so much to Nicky Wells for giving me the opportunity to read Fallen For Rock............It rocks!!!

I really enjoyed this book, Emily is a high flying successful woman with a stressful job, a nice flat & a rock music loving boyfriend called Nate. The only problem is Emily loves classical music & feels rock music is loud & dirty compared to her classical music. Nate dreams of becoming a famous guitarist one day maybe even playing in the new band MonX that he adores. He tries over & over to try to introduce Emily to rock music but she just can't understand why Nate loves it so much. In a final attempt to get her to understand & feel rock music he watches a TV show that has a chance of winning a pair of All Access V.I.P tickets to the next MonX concert so he enters the competition asking them to address the tickets to his beloved girlfriend Emily. After a really stressful day at work not long after this Emily comes home with the start of a migraine & her elderly, quite nosey neighbour stops her complaining about Nate's practising & an argument between them leads to her asking him to leave. She doesn't hear from him again & realises she misses him but he's gone now life goes on then one night her elderly neighbour stops her complaining the postman woke her as she had to sign for an envelope for Emily, she finally gets it & goes into her flat then has a shower & after this she opens the envelope & it's the tickets, Nate won the competition, she's excited for him & rings him, no answer, then she texts him & does so again & again but as the concert gets closer she's had no reply so decides to go alone to the concert. Meeting the band backstage she gets talking to some of the other ticket holders & then starts talking to this man not knowing he's Mike the lead singer of MonX & so the story starts. I don't do spoilers so to find out if Emily finally gets to understand & feel rock music I highly recommend downloading this brilliant book.

Reading Nicky Wells' latest foray into the Rock Star Romance Fiction genre which appears in my opinion of becoming popular amongst some romance readers as well as authors, I couldn't help but think this time she has included some of her own personal experience. After all, she's been allowed backstage at rock venue[s] and has hobnobbed with some current rock stars in the UK. Don't we wish we could do the same with our favorite artists? Envy is a sin [at least here] we must resist. I believe if she's not already there, she's the Queen of this genre and I look forward to reading more stories from her pen. When we first read about Emily and her first encounter with Nate, I got "shocked" how she, given her personality, allowed herself to go as far as she did and I almost feared I'd be reading something erotic because of it. Nate and Emily are totally opposites; he loves rock and she's more of a classical sort of woman. Naturally this relationship couldn't last. When she goes to the rock concert alone with the ticket Nate had won and had given to her, a sort of Kismet occurs when she meets Mike, the lead singer for MonX, the main venue for the concert.I love how a mere photo changed both of their lives, as they wound up being great for each other.Nicky has a wonderful way of making her main characters come alive and allows you to feel as if you're part of it, making it a wonderful read.I also love the addition of British English, which I, living on the other side of "The Pond", have finally begun to understand after having two other of wonderful novels, which is why I'm giving it 5 STARS.I received this e-book from the author as an ARC - Advanced Reader's Copy

Author Nicky Wells has done it again. Her books just keep getting better and better! I re-read Fallen For Rock and let me tell you, I fell more and more in love with it each time. It was a beautiful book from the beginning all the way to the end. The writing was fantastic and exquisite as always, just like the plot. I enjoy seeing how Nicky can take any plot and make it her own and in such an outstanding way. Her characters seem so real that as a reader you feel like you can relate with them. One of my favorite characters was Mike I fell for him! And I bet I am not the only one. He was sweet, loving, and caring. He loved Emily but I think he kind of knew that it wasn't going to go anywhere with her cause she was madly in love with Nate. To be honest I was secretly rooting for her and Mike.Nate didn't make that many "appearances" although he was mentioned throughout the book a lot. But I do kind of wish we could have gotten to know him more. But he was a great character as well, Emily was meant to be with him.Emily gosh how I wish I was her, she got to tour with a band! That is one of the coolest things ever. Something that has always been on my bucket list is to be friends with someone in a band. I'm sure pretty much everyone at some point wishes they could be a groupie or in a touring band. Who wouldn't want that. This book was great I have to admit there were some parts where I nearly cried a river, I felt so bad for Emily and how much she wanted to work things out with Nate so yeah I nearly cried. I really loved this book.

Fallen for Rock is a gutsy foray into the life of a rocker, experienced by a woman who is anything but. Nicky Wells tells us a story about Emily, a woman who cannot stand anything rock, including her boyfriend Nate. When they split she gets tickets in the mail for MonX, a rock band Nate wanted to see. Calamity ensues as Emily tries to find Nate, even going as far as going to the concert. That's when everything goes haywire in Emily's world. She meets Mike, the lead singer of MonX, and finds herself on tour? This book is a fast paced glimpse into the life of a rocker and the women he keeps. It's a gritty, sexy, voyage of self discovery for Emily as she tries to redefine who she is through the words in a song. Fallen for Rock was not as much a sweet love story as it was an adventure of a lifetime with sex, booze and rock and roll. There were plenty of heart gripping moments where you cheered for Emily and Mike like you were at a MonX concert waiting for the encore, and plenty of hair gripping moments when you wanted to yell at Emily and talk some sense into her. If you love romances where the leading man is wearing a guitar and the leading lady has rock stars in her eyes, this is the book for you! (Warning: There are several adult themes in this book. Rock and roll is notorious for it's sex, drugs and rock and roll. Keep this in mind when reading Fallen for Rock. Ms. Wells accurately describes what being on tour is like, in a no holds barred way.)

Wow! Talk about a story that really draws you in and makes you want it to never end. I really loved and related to the main character, Emily. (Although I had to laugh because I found myself reading her name every time the same way my 4-old-year niece says it: "mmm-lee" - which is apparently the way one of the other main characters says it. Too cute!)This is a fun let-your-hair-down kind of story. Emily is a straight-laced financial analyst with all the professional tick marks checked - and feeling pretty good about that. Unfortunately, it's a workaholic lifestyle that's left her without a boyfriend or even any friends. Somewhat unexpectedly, she receives VIP passes to a rock concert for the latest hot band (that she knows nothing about) and decides to be a bit spontaneous for a change. Little does she know how easily she'll be seduced into rock culture - both by the alluring lead singer and the adrenaline rush of touring. It's a great quarter-life-crisis adventure full of temptation: sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll. Plus lots of behind the scenes goings on: from concerts to touring to industry maneuvering. I've read and enjoyed all of Nicky Wells stories but this is by far my favorite yet! It just had a really great pace to it. Hard to put it down. Great for a weekend, vacation, or beach read!

Fallen for Rock was such a quick read for me because I couldn't put it down!I loved Emily from the beginning and really enjoyed the times she was out of her comfort zone and the strength and optimism she used in dealing with new experiences. It was fabulous to see the change from prim and proper doing what she thought she ought to do to a woman in touch with who she really was. What a journey! We find out about Emily's relationship with ex Nate through reflection. I couldn't help but laugh when they first met. Such a funny scene.Mike is of course, HOT. Aside from that, the deepening friendship with Emily was fabulous. With Emily narrating in the first person, it felt like it was happening to me :) Wells is good at fostering these friendships between her characters (read the Rock Star Romance trilogy if you haven't already).I thought the story worked really well with the focus on Emily and Mike's lives (unusual for a romance to not have any friends as secondary characters). The sex scenes are sizzling! Wells has proved that she can take us beyond that bedroom door and that when it's used to add depth, sex also adds sparkle and excitement :)It is obvious Wells knows what she is talking about with gigs, road trips and of course rock music. Everything felt very authentic.Fallen for Rock is a keeper for me. Highly recommend.Full review coming soon.

Emily Trenden works in banking. She's good at her job but she's recently broken up with her boyfriend and life has reached a turning point. A mystery package reveals VIP tickets from Rock Radio FM to a concert for rock band MonX. Nate had won tickets and entered the competition in her name, what is she to do with the tickets? Emily hates rock she's a classic music girl.Desperately she tries to contact Nate to tell him about the tickets, leaving loads of phone messages, but he doesn't reply. On a whim and a last ditch hope that Nate will meet her at the venue Emily decides to go to the concert. A rock virgin, Emily blags her way through the experience and finds she actually enjoys herself. A new Emily acts completely out of character and is on the tour bus the next morning heading to Glasgow and getting very cosy with lead singer Mike. She steps out of her comfort zone, but finds she's still in love with Nate. Back at work, Emily is shocked when she hears that MonX have split and the reporters are hounding her, when pictures hit the newspapers of her in Mike's arms looking high on drugs. Suspension by her boss gives Emily the push to put her skills to good use, help a friend and perhaps finally tell Nate how she really feels. This is a fast paced, rock romance which spreads it's own magic as you read.

I would like to thank author Nicky Wells for sending me a copy of this in exchange for a fair and honest review.I will start by mentioning the cover of this book and how perfect it is, just looking at it I wanted to dive into this book. When we first meet Emily she is wondering if her decision to split with her ex is the right one to make, especially when she finds that he had won VIP tickets to a rock concert and put them in her name. It was his way of trying to win her round to rock music.Emily takes a chance and goes to the rock concert alone and meets Mike the lead singer of MonX, there she is pulled it to the life, she is given the opportunity of a lifetime. I loved the detail that Nicky went into with life on the road. This is a devilishly wicked read that has you glued from page one. I loved the music references and you can’t go wrong with Bon Jovi, they really are rock gods. This is sassy, sexy and you can tell Nicky really knows herstuff, I wonder if any of this book is based on truth? It really is a book about discovery for Emily, changing from being snooty about rock music to finding she actually likes it.A really great fun read and I will look out for more or Nicky’s books.

I can honestly say this is my favourite read by Nicky Wells so far. The overall vibe of the book is more chick lit and the steamy scenes, for me, added more of a kick.I genuinely liked Emily’s character and identified with her difficulties in letting go. I felt a real connection as I got to know her better, and egged Emily on as she began to move away from all she knew and have some serious fun. This is a real story of self discovery and it is presented in such an entertaining, easy-to-read package that I can’t pick out a single thing I didn’t like.As the story moved along with a perfect pace, I suspected the enviable to happen but was very pleasantly surprised to discovery that Nicky Wells had decided not to go along the obvious route. As the ending drew nearer, I did begin to work out what was coming but instead of feeling disappointed that I had guessed what would play out on the final pages, I read on with an excited sense of anticipation as I liked the fact that all the pieces were slotting perfectly together. You could say I’ve Fallen For Nicky Wells (ha! sorry!) and her latest release. It’s fun, steamy, meaningful and inspired all in one go, so change your life a little by downloading this uplifting read.

This is a sexy book. Putting sex in a story is easy. Making it sexy is talent. When a buttoned up ambitious girl who's already made it in her own world tumbles into the wild world of rock, her buttons quickly unravel. Without giving away the story, Emily manages to fall for two men and get away with it. In the meantime she indulges in the ultimate fantasy of stepping out of her old stable privileged life. It's not supposed to be for ever but everything is for ever when the beasts of lust and love break free. There are prices to be paid and choices to be made. She has the most fantastic sex of her life and loses all her previous status. Some would say this was a fair exchange but she doesn't take it lying down and fights back. This is hard core rock star romance but also an uplifting story of a woman finding her true self through whatever life throws at her. Another top read from Nicky Wells.

Well! This certainly was a ride into the world of rock and roll. I thoroughly enjoyed this rocking tale. Full of behind the scenes snippets, Nicky gives her readers a feel for what it could be really like to be a VIP guest at a rock concert. A great leading lady in Emily, a classy, designer clad, city banker whose tastes reflect her salary. Sassy to boot! Can someone really re-invent themselves so completely? Apparently so, and the metamorphosis is believable. The problems MonX faced within the band are entirely credible, the infighting, jealousy and disputes over everything are exactly what you might read about a 'real' band in the newspapers. How about other characters such as Mike Loud, lead singer with MonX? Was he for real? Too nice? Maybe, maybe not! Mike was given good character traits which contrasted with those of his bandmates nicely, as well as being a perfect companion for Emily along the way.A good fun, rock and roll read.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.Review:I’m a big, giant fan of Nicky Wells, and always look forward to her books. Which is good, because damn she can write fast – and well! Her books all have the rock theme to them, and Fallen For Rock gives us rock n’ roll, romance, and an unexpected connection with a new rock band. What I liked about this book was that there were times where I was wondering what the hell Emily was doing. If she still wanted to be with her ex, why is she gallivanting with this band and acting like a ...let’s put it nicely... a groupie. And then I thought – this is real life. This wasn’t a “life is always so pretty” novel, it was realistic and that’s what kept drawing me to it. It’s also a quick little read that will keep you on your toes, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself while reading it. Get Nicky Wells on your list!

Your classic story of a woman meets a rock star and falls in love but with a slight twist. This particular woman is not a fan of rock music or rock stars for that matter. A refreshing take that really got me wrapped into the book from the very beginning. Emily decides to throw caution to the wind adding excitement to her regular life spicing up the story. At times she seems do think too much and spends too much time wallowing however I enjoyed the way the story leads up to it's very interesting ending wrapping up the story rather well. Certainly another delightful book in cross genres of contemporary romance, chick lit and music related fiction that fans of either of those genres will enjoy. 4 starsI received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I completely adored this book, I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. It's the sort of book that had me laughing out loud at points much to the amusement of my family. A great cast of characters and a clever plot kept me engrossed, quite different to the usual rocker romance formula.Emily had broken up with her rocker boyfriend. Single and uptight there is little fun in her demanding work life and she realises that maybe she was too hasty when she cut Nate free. A VIP pass to a rock concert suddenly gives Emily a chance to embrace change and a rather hot rocker called Mike. I loved Mike and Emily as characters and really didn't want the book to end. I look forward to reading more from this author.

I would like to thank author Nicky Wells for sending me a copy of Fallen For Rock just because she's awesome. And so is this book! This is the first book by Nicky that I've had an honor to read. I love rock and everything that comes in hand with it and I had such a fun reading this book.I loved Emily and I cheered for her 'till the end. I have been expecting for Mike to give her a time of her life and in a way he did. She changed as a person. The end was so sweet and I wished I had a chance to read more about Nick. I hated him at the beggining and loved him at the end :)Amazing book. I will recommend it to my friends.

"Fallen for Rock" did not get off to an auspicious start. Emily came across as an immature and somewhat selfish woman, not a good first impression. However, that impression made seeing her evolve that much more satisfying.Read full review in the 2014 October issue of InD’tale Magazine.
