(No, I don’t know when it will be finished!)GO TELL THE BEES THAT I AM GONE follows book eight of the OUTLANDER series of novels, WRITTEN IN MY OWN HEART’S BLOOD (nicknamed "MOBY").An official publication date for this new book has not been announced. In other words: NO, I don’t know yet when I will finish book nine of the OUTLANDER series! I am working on it now, and don’t even have a ballpark date. When I get near to finishing the book and have a publication date, I will list it here.My books are huge, and take an enormous amount of time to write. Plus I have to do a lot of historical and other research for each book. All of my eight major novels in the OUTLANDER series have taken 2-3 years, or more, to write and research and publish. Quality takes time and cannot be rushed. Excerpts, aka "Daily Lines"http://www.dianagabaldon.com/books/ou...As I write, I will post passages of this new novel here. These books are fantastic. They are historical. No, well, not *all* history. Science fiction. No, wait! Romance. Okay...adventure! Wait, wait...they're time-travel, or tear-jerkers, humor, and a little paranormal with a family saga thrown in. Oh, and only good for women. Well, and men, too. And people. Can't forget people.See?! These books are ALL THE THINGS.Go read the first Outlander and catch up with the rest. You have time. Then come back here to comment and agree whole-heartedly. You're welcome.

Question . . how does this book have a 3.67 rating, when Diana's just started working on it? I could understand 5s, because we're all excited, but 3.67? Is somebody hating just to be hating?

"GO TELL THE BEES THAT I AM GONE" The title of book 9 has got me really apprehensive "You always tell the bees when someone is born, dies, comes or goes" i don't like the sound of that. Really hope Diana Gabaldon doesn't end the Outlander series with Jamie or Claire dying.

HABEMUS TÍTULO"Go Tell The Bees That I Am Gone" It is a very old Celtic custom (known in other parts of Europe, too) that made it to the Appalachians. You always tell the bees when someone is born, dies, comes or goes---because if you don't keep them informed, they'll fly away.Diana Gabaldon -Will just note that "gone" doesn't necessarily mean _dead_, you know. “What hurts you cleaves my heart,” he said softly. “Ye ken that, aye?”Sra. Diana Gabaldon, por favor, no se tarde tanto en publicar este libro. Recuerde que hay alguien que espera por Jamie y Claire y ya los extraña.

You have to read the preceding books in the Outlander series to know the relationships, history and background of these historical time slip novels. Each volume is addicting and difficult to put down. The author creates a universe and populates it with dangerous, two-faced, murderous people who want something from Claire and Jamie or want what they have... land, home, wealth, power, education, special skills and most of all, unwavering love for each other. Their love encircles an extended family, which they want to protect from wars and criminals and adventurers. In this book, we are in the terrible midst of the American Revolution and a time of strife in Scotland, the land from which Claire and Jamie fled. Who can they trust? Enjoy this riveting book as you have the others. It will break your heart, thrill you, and reveal in minute detail the lives of all sorts of people in that era.
