A very nice change of pace for me - great read Judy Kentrus! This book was very refreshing for me - like a mind cleanser from all the serial killers that I usually read. Very good story line with some great characters - good and bad, oh and funny :) How could you not grin when it comes to Double Trouble and Trouble! The mystery/crimes and the investigation were well presented. As always, I don't give out spoilers during my review - all I can say is I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to Linc's story.Well done Judy - keep them coming :)

Full disclosure: I received this book as Goodreads First Reads giveaway, but that in no way affected this review.Alexis, owner of Mary Maids, is cleaning an office when she spies a personal ad on the man's desk. The ad: Wanted: Wife, little or no experience. Willing to pay $ 20,000. Send all inquiries to R. Long, c/o this newspaper. While the joke backfires, it draws Russell Long and Alexis Snow together, and over time, a romance blossoms between the two. Unfortunately, by publicizing their "alleged romance" it also draws attention to her scandalous past, and someone is out to get her.Wonderful characters, delightful dialog, and more highlight this lighthearted romantic suspense novel. Particularly liked the realistic way the two six-year-old girls misrepresented what they overheard. Well worth the read despite the few typos and formatting glitches. A more extensive review will be written and posted on within a few weeks.

This is my good friend Judy's second book and what a wonderful read it was. It has some of the characters from her first book Elusive Obsession. Perpetual bachelor Russell Long has the perfect life. Good job, great house, he does what he wants when he wants....never having to answer to anyone else. He also has a couple well meaning friends. When Russell's best friend Scott and his new wife try to play match maker or is it a practical joke, by placing an ad in the newspaper want ads..."Wanted: wife, with little or no experience. Willing to pay $20,000". Well, you can imagine what happens. Enter Alexis Snow, former model turned cleaning lady. Alex runs her owner janitorial cleaning business, Mary Maids. When Alex is thrown into the middle of this unfortunate joke on Russell, her past comes back to haunt her. This story was such a mix of all the things you love when reading a book....Humor, romance, hot love scenes, suspense and my favorite the all important...Happy Ending!! This was a real page turner too, so be prepared for the long haul and read it in one won't be able to put it down. I really love Judy's books. She's quite the story teller. I'm a fan for life!!

Cinderella meets Mr. CleanKentrus' sophomore novel delivers romance, intrigue, mystery and family. Maid To Order picks up where Elusive Obsession left off but this story centers around Russell Long, a man who is a self proclaimed neat freak. The Landis' decide to play a practical joke that backfires, or does it?Enter beautiful Alexis Snow, a retired super model. Doing her best to distance herself from her past, care for her disabled brother and run a successful cleaning business. Meeting up with Russell turns her life upside down and her past comes back to haunt her in many twists and turns that you don't see coming.Beautifully written dialogue. At times you feel like you are in the novel, the emotion is brilliantly described to make you feel it. I had a hard time putting it down. I'm eagerly looking forward to Arrest of the Heart as Kentrus has set us up nicely to learn more about Lincoln Adams in her next work.

I loved this book! Russell is hilarious, a little stubborn, and strong. The sweet way Scott and Julie's girls have him wrapped around their little pinkies is charming. Alexis is strong, sweet, determined and hard working. She's the perfect match for Russell. The romance was sweet with some heat...and a boa, but nothing to extreme making this a great read for anyone! The humor was wonderful! I love the awkward scenarios between the hero and heroine and how the awkward brings them even closer :D

5 Sweet Stars! Kentrus's fertile imagination gives us another wonderful couple accented by colorful side characters. Linc is my favorite and we don't get to see him a lot, but that's because he's getting his own book;) I did enjoy both Russell and Alexis and their journey to love. The twists and turns of the mystery were well executed and added interest to the developing romance. Enjoy!!! Can't wait for Linc's book....

Read the first in the series and had to read the next one. I loved the first one, loved this one even more because of the intrigue she added to it. Great read. Lots of humor, great dialog, interesting characters I can root for. Looking forward to getting my hands on the final one in the series. This author is going places, keep an eye out for anything written by Judy Kentrus.

The storyline was such that this book, kindly sent to me by Goodreads for review, represented pure escapist reading. It commences when Russell Long is the victim of a prank in a newspaper that backfires and he finds himself linking up with Alexis Snow. Alexis owns a cleaning company, but she also happens to be a former model with a past. Someone from that past is hell bent on trying to destroy her.Essentially, this was a romantic novel with a crime theme and some twists’n’turns in the plot. The timing was slightly askew for some conversations did not marry up to the length of time that concurrent actions would have taken e.g. choosing food at a buffet and returning with it. The reader is clearly assumed to be American with an understanding of abbreviations such as BOLO. The writer would benefit from employing the services of a good proof reader as I found the numerous typographical mistakes an irritating distraction and the fact that someone who is specialising in writing romantic novels appears not to know the difference between a fiancé and a fiancée is rather worrisome. The publisher is called Lady K Publishing which unfortunately brought to mind some kind of sanitary protection manufacturer so, although I do not know if this is the author’s own company, if it is, then she may wish to give some consideration to amending this name for the company which, at present, is rather limiting.Aside from these comparatively minor points, it was a simple, escapist, pleasant romantic read and I would be happy to read more of Judy Kentrus’s work.

Judy Kentrus keeps on getting betterAnd better. I loved Russell and Alexis. Their wonderful families, and friends. This romance/mystery story will make you laugh, sigh, and rootfor a HEA for everyone. This book has a major plot and several minor plots that you will want the story to never end because you will miss these wonderful characters. It's a great stand alone, but I very highly recommend reading the first book in the series "Elusive Obsession".

Judy Kentrus' book, Maid to Order, was a pleasant surprise! She is a new author to me. I tend to select books to read based on their covers. The cover of Maid to Order gives the impression that the book will be a contemporary romance. This book turned out to be that and more. Besides being the romance of Russell Long and Alexis Snow, it is also a who-done-it! Somebody is out to get Alexis. But why?! This book was thoroughly entertaining. It had a lot of "makes you smile while reading moments". It also had likable characters. In addition, I discovered that Kentrus has also written Elusive Obsession (Scott and Julie's story) and Arrest of the Heart (Lincoln's story). These 2 books are now on my to be read list! Five stars!
