Times Tables the Fun Way Book for Kids: A Picture and Story Method of Learning Multiplication Reviews
HelpfulI chose this review because it really helped me! I liked the stories and pictures and i think its a really helpful book!
A helpful toolThis book is meant more for teachers and parents who are trying to help their child learn to multiply. There are cute stories which will make learning multiplication facts more fun, along with forming a tie in so that they can remember them later on. The pictures are cute and needed with the stories so children will have not only an oral tie in but a visual as well. Having both visual and oral story to help multiply will help the children remember their times tables. This book could be helpful to teachers to get children excited about multiplication. It could be carried over at home as well.
I bought this as an e-book for my Kindle. It's a collection of stories to help kids remember their times tables. It's very well-done. It's organized in a logical way, the teaching tips are short and concise (I hate having to read a whole book to figure out how to use the student book), and the stories are entertaining. I can't wait to introduce it to my child who is learning his times tables right now. My only complaint is that I cannot print the pre-test/final test for my child to complete, and that's not the fault of the author.
Helps for creative kids learning math factsSome of the helps are super creative and intuitive. Others are reaching a bit too far to find a connection. I especially liked how they described the nines tables.
Times Tables the Fun WayCute book teaching strategies for learning the multiplication facts. A story and cartoon go with each of the harder facts and different strategies for the easier facts.
This is an awesome book!!!
Wonderful teaching tool!I am a homeschooling mom who is always searching for visual ways to teach technical concepts. This book did that. Thanks for the wonderful resource!!
It's more trouble to use this method than to just memorize them by rote. NOT RECOMMENDED. Some of the tricks they recommend don't even work and will lead to a WRONG answer!
