My Review of The Key by Jennifer Anne Davis: I was looking for a change of pace for my reading list. I've read a lot a paranormal, dystopian, and contemporary fiction lately. So when I saw this book, I was immediately drawn to it. It looked like a classic medieval fantasy--something I hadn't read in a while, but absolutely love. But, like the synopsis says, this is no fantasy... it was better!!! This is a book about the brutalities of war, the oppression of a people living under tyrannical rule, and the life and death of ordinary people living in an depressing time. At the center of this book lies a prince and a peasant girl. They come from very different worlds, but are immediately drawn to each other. Then the worst possible thing happens. The prince's brother--seeing that his younger brother is taken with this girl--forces her into an engagement of marriage. (These two have the ultimate sibling rivalry going on.)This is an amazing story, delivered flawlessly. The characters, the action, and the love story were all woven together masterfully. The story pulled me in from the start and didn't let go until the end. And oh boy, what an end! I'm not only waiting for the sequel in this book, I'm clamoring for it. I absolutely cannot wait to see what other adventures this author has in store for us. But it's bound to be brilliant! My Review of Lingering Echoes:I met the author and was so impressed by her, I was determined to read her book. Regardless of this not being my typical genre, I was immediately pulled into the story and had a difficult time putting the book down. The characters were unique and compelling, the story filled with action and conflict, and the romance was extremely satisfying. This is one of those stories that stays with you long after you finish it. I can see myself reading this book again--and I don't usually read a book more than once. This book is good enough to be an exception. I also love that this was a clean read. I can feel comfortable having this book in my bookshelf with me teen daughter in the house. To the author I say, kudos for writing this amazing story, and thank you for sharing it with us!

This collection of books incorporates a lot of my favourites of the publishing team and sets the reader off with a peak into various different worlds leaving them knowing which sequels they need to look up and a few more authors to fall in love with! The Key – a must read from cover to cover. The characters jump of the pages and the plot leaves you guessing at every turn. I’ll admit, I didn’t even read the blurb as It was recommended by a friend and I don’t regret a thing except having to wait for the sequels because BEWARE OF CLIFFHANGERSRumors - A wonderful insight into Allie's mind before Lingering Echoes.. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this prequel and if I was able to give it more stars, I would! Recommended to all fans of Lingering Echoes... and if you have not read that book, READ IT NOW!! GO, go buy it NOW!!Finding Willow – Also a prequel to a must-read book. A nice insight not only into Brody's life before he is introduced in Unspeakable but also his first impressions of the one and only Willow. I definitely enjoyed more Brody. Thanks for that Michelle ;)Rising – Book one to a must-read trilogy. This book is a really interesting twist on mythical creatures as we normally know them today, such as Gods and mermaids. The way that the dagonains live was so captivating to read as it is so different from what we know today, especially in how the woman are treated.Never forgotten – So many starts to great series and this is another one! This book is an unique take on a fantasy creature. The author doesn't play the usual cancer sop story (although I like a fare few of them myself!!) but it was a nice change. To have such a topic tangled up in this whirlwind of a story, but that still not be the central concern. Its just a piece in the puzzle that is this story and the character's lives. Happy Reading everyone!! :)

A compilation of short stories.Rumors - 2*The Key 2.25*I never got past the first two; they were quite wearying. With Rumors, I never could figure out where it was going and it ended with me still feeling like I was in the dark to some extent. The Key has a pretty good story line but is an EXTREMELY rough draft. After reading those two, I saw no further reason to torture myself. I may (at some point) go back and read some of the others - one at a time.
