At least that’s what I tell all the men that ask me out.Casual hookups and one night stands seem to be the best option for me. Where’s the need for a boyfriend when I have a 200 pound vibrator between my legs daily? Then I meet Nixon King, every moto ho’s wet dream. He has the body of a model, the cockiness of a frat boy with a popped collar, and riding skills that rival my own. With a combination like that I can’t resist being attracted to him.So when he suggests having a no strings attached commitment, who am I to turn him down?Panty melting sex without any feelings to get in the way? Best idea ever! Then, months into our pseudo relationship, those pesky feelings start making their way to the surface; exactly what I didn’t want to happen. What should I do now?...

Down & Dirty Reviews
This was my first book by Ash Johnson, and I didn't hate it but I wasn't fond of it either.Emmie is supposed to be this strong, independent motorcross rider/racer whatever but within three pages you realize there is nothing strong about her. She comes across as the motorho she so supposedly hates..There is nothing wrong with having a strong sexual appetite but that's not the case with Emmie, she has slept with half the motorcross guys and even some females, and she is all for one night stands..again which is great and all but when she starts pointing out that Nixon is this good looking man whore, when in actuality she is the female version of him.. Pot calling the kettle?!?They start this friend with benefits thing, when in actuality they have never been friends but exchanged a couple of words.. so it's more like two people that met and screwed and now continue to screw.Another thing that bugged me the first time Nixon stayed over he dvr'd Ashton Kutcher's "Friends with Benefits movie" thinking she would enjoy it when she is on the rag?!He was just boinking you, he thinks with his smaller head, why would he dvr anything? Especially a movie that has so much to do with them?I hated Nixon, he was way possessive without reason from page three.. I just hated him and his overuse of "Sugar".. It was beyond annoying! And then this supposed strong female turns a blabbering mess, just disgusted me!I didn't like the book, I didn't like either one of the characters.. The story had potential but didn't make it..Would I recommend this one? Unfortunately, NO.
Very predictable read. I can resume it with a scene that has become (for me) a mood-killer cliché in this kind of books: the heroine's dog who doesn't like anybody, of course, loooves the jerk of a hero instantly falling into dog-whorshipping with the dude. Must be a sign from above! That, a fake "bad-ass" heroine who doesn't stand her ground, a hero who's so much of a cliché, he didn't feel like a real person, awkwardly put conversations with replicas like "I wanted to watch the women race in peace, but you've seemed to ruin that and have drawn on my body as well." or "You win the opportunity to call me by my real name instead of that stupid pet name that I'm sure you call all women." (seriously, think about these sentences said out loud and how convoluted and lacking in punch they feel)... All in all, this book was a turn-off for me.
Really disliked this!I hated Emmie and I hated Nixon. They spent the first half of the book screwing each other like total horn dogs and when they did get together the were either banging each other or fighting like little kids. I hated how they spoke to each other and didnt get any connection between them. Emmie - something about the way she spoke and acted was a total turn off for me. I just didn't like her. She also went through so many emotions in a single paragraph she gave me whiplash!Nixon - he was childish, immature and irrational. They stupid childish mind games and his reasoning was totally idiotic.Sorry I read the authors previous book and that was ok but this... this just did not work for me.
This story was a really fun read.I loved Emmie's character. She is a strong lead who is sarcastic, funny, and independent. There were several times I wish she'd stand up for herself more or smack Nixon.Nixon King is certainly a cocky, womanizer. He bothered me a lot during the beginning. He seemed very full of himself and not caring about others. While Emmie and Nixon got to know each other more, the reader got to see another side of Nixon. He seems like a pretty decent guy after he let down his walls. The whole cocky, womanizer attitude seems like an act to keep people away. They both have a lot of growing up to do, especially relationship wise. They both have their hold ups on why they don't want a relationship.
Good read. It was interesting reading about competitive motor cross and the women in the sport. Emmie was definitely kick-ass and I love her sarcastic mouth. It was annoying that Nixon was hesitant to have their relationship go public because of a bunch of what ifs and his public persona as a ladies man being jeopardize, just juvenile! I'm usually not a stickler about grammar or spelling, but some of those errors did make it confusing and difficult reading at times. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
I enjoyed this book And a look into the motocross world I loved Emmy she was tough and sassy but a bit broken as well then along comes Nixon oh no alpha male cocky full of himself and he thinks he can get Emmy like that oh I don't think so lol you need to work boy we have a wee bit of angst love the Epilogue and the touch of Pink and Carey Hart lol very sweet!!!
Love love love this book read this at least 5 times. A great love fun romance!!!!
