A charming collection of two early Victorian and one Regency Christmas novellas. The three stories are different, but all are delightful.

Patricia Rice gives us three wonderful and endearing Christmas stories to enjoy. They are Regency Romances that will give you a warm feeling during this Christmas season.Christmas Angel is a story revolving around an unlikely source of Christmas magic. In a village where the wealthy family has left people without jobs, homes, food and clothing resentment grows. But Marian, who is a strong, independent and opinionated woman, will not let the children of the village suffer without a Christmas regardless of the circumstances. When a stranger, claiming to be a relative of the Sedgewick’s arrives he is shocked to see the devastation left by his family and vows to help not only with the Christmas needs but with jobs as well. Hiding a secret, Alan Ellington, knows he must admit who he really is but will it cost him Mariane when he does?Christmas Goose is a story of redemption and love during the Christmas holiday. Rebecca is young widow who defied her father, a rich Baron, to marry for love but soon lost him to the war. Left to raise her late husband’s sisters she struggles financially but will not accept charity. Rebecca places the girl’s happiness above her own, but wishes her father would bend and visit them for Christmas. She also must fight her attraction to her late husband’s best friend, Simon. Simon fights his guilt for the loss of men during the war, especially for his friend Matthew. Simon carries the weight of the world on his shoulders and can’t see beyond his own sense of failure. Rebecca and her determination, pride and love show Simon what he has been blinded to for so long and in the process love blooms between them.Tin Angel is a wonderfully funny story of a man so bent on shutting out the world’s many incompetent people and issues that he has also inadvertently shut out love and helping others in their time of need. When Jeffery is confronted not by the typical ghost of Christmas past, present or future but of by an angel with a sarcastic sense of humor he learns a few things the hard way. Mary is a young angel who is still learning and has been assigned the task of getting Jeffery to let go of the negativity and open his eyes to life. Along the way, Jeffery finds himself wanting a woman like Mary as his wife. Mary finds herself wanting to be with Jeffery as she falls in love with him. Will Mary find a way for them to be together and will Jeffery love her if she does? These are wonderful short holiday stories that will warm your spirit just in time for Christmas with characters struggling with life, love and the joys of the season. I received this ebook in exchange for my review.

Review for CHRISTMAS ENCHANTMENTI received this as a gift for an honest reviewCHRISTMAS ANGEL – Marian Chadwick and Alan Ellington are two people who have lost loved ones and are foundering. Both have some misconceptions of the other and seem to be at odds with each other all the time. Is the Christmas season, and the accompanying cheer and happiness that comes with it , enough to warm their hearts and their spirits toward each other ??CHRISTMAS GOOSESimon Lemaster-a man broken by war, both physically and mentally. He sees little to live for until a stray dog that he rescues brings a new adventure for him. Not actually the dog , mind you, but the young widow who owns that dog. Rebecca Tarkington, widow of his best friend Matthew, brings a sense of meaning into his life and opens his eyes to something he had never seen before. As his love and admiration for this woman grows, he knows he will do whatever is necessary to have her as his own. Perhaps the Christmas season will grant his wish.TIN ANGELJeffrey Darcourt is a young man disillusioned with the war and the state of Parliament. He has no use for the addle headed men of this country. He is also fed up with the women in his life- his mother and sisters and his cousins widow. It is his duty to marry and produce an heir but he just doesn’t want to. He needs someone to challenge him. Enter an Angel he calls Mary. She berates, chides and infuriates him. I f only she could be real instead of an Angel. But we need to remember that the Christmas season is upon us and miracles do indeed happen. Maybe one for Jeffrey and Mary is in the works.

This is a perfect Chirstmas present for anyone who loves stories with magic, angels and happy endings.Christmas Angel is the story of a two people who have known tragegy in their lives and are just trying to get through the season as best they can. They discover that even though they have different views on how to help themselves and the people of their small town they find love and a way to save the town.Christmas Goose is about a widow is barely scraping by with two young girls to raise, but is too proud to ask for help. A member of the local Patron family comes home for the holidays, frustrated, angry and sad.. When he hears that his best friend who died had married and left a widow. He wants to help her but she is too proud to take charity. He sees a way to finally help someone and will do anything to make her accept his help and in the process they fall in love.Tin Angel was my favorite. A man who has lost all faith in his government and just wants to be left alone. Unfortunately an Angel shows up and wants to help realize how much he has in his life. He names the angel Mary and they have conversations and he begins to understand how much he has in his life and how he can help others. Mix in a dying young lady and an agnel and Christmas could be saved and his soul healed.Three love stories that will warm your heart and soul.

These three stories are wonderful journeys to the Christmas holiday during the Regency period in England.Patricia Rice has written 3 novellas which bring the reader the sense of Christmas love and forgiveness. In Christmas Angel, we have a small town that seems to be on the edge of disaster. When a stranger arrives, it seems he may be just what is needed to make everyone feel the joy of the season. In Christmas Goose, we meet a woman who is near the edge of financial disaster with too much pride to take any help from anyone. Then a man appears who starts out simply wanting to make her life easier and ends up providing a Christmas filled with new and unexpected gifts for everyone. Finally, Tin Angel presents the magic that is Christmas for anyone who simply believes in the possibilities. A young woman is near death, a young man cannot get past the losses in his life and an angel has the task of trying to make the world a better place.Ms Rice has written about all types of love. We see love between a woman and a man, love of family, love of community and love for the season of possibilities. If you need a small push to get into the Christmas spirit, this is just the book for you.I received this book from the author in the hope that I would write a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

This book is comprised of three short stories done the right way - giving you a real story without being rushed to a conclusion and leaving you happy when the book is finished. Each story within the book is a standalone, but each has a common theme - the holidays can be a tough time and sometimes you need some help in lifting up your spirits. They highlight what the true essence of the holiday season is supposed to be about. If you have not read Patricia Rice's books before, this is a great chance to get a flavor for her writing without committing to a full length book.

This book combines three of Patricia Rice's stories (Christmas Angel, Christmas Goose, Tin Angel) one volume. It is definitely one of my favorite Regency Christmas anthologies. If you are a Rice fan, Regency fan, or just want to read a great Christmas story collection, this book will make you happy. Snuggle up by the tree with some hot chocolate or tea for a feel-good read.

I enjoyed these stories for the most part. The first two felt like they ended too soon. I liked the extra bit of epilogue on the last one that let me enjoy the happy part of the happy ever after.
