Wesley and Bree grew up together, trapped in the lives they were forced to live.Wesley's fate was decided since the time he was born. His life was tainted with violence, there was no way he could survive that unscathed. Despite the way he was raised and trained, he knew how to care deeply for someone. He was willing to do anything to protect someone he cared deeply about. He loved someone enough to give her a chance to live a normal life, even it that meant losing her... that someone was Bree.Bree's life was controlled and dictated by her father. She didn't experience a normal childhood and craved a life other than what was given to her. But she survived because she had someone who understood her. There was only one person that mattered to her. She endured the life handed to her because that meant being with him. She was willing to subject herself to a lifetime of violence and regret to protect him. Until he sacrificed and put himself in danger to give her a chance to start over... that someone was Wesley.Far away from Wesley and her former life, she met Reid. He was her roommate, and unknowingly, he taught her how to exist in a brand new world. He showed her how to have fun. He introduced her to the meaning of total and complete peace. He didn't know her real name, her real age, where she came from or what she really did before they met. But he knew all the things that matter. Whereas Wesley gave her an end to the life she detested, Reid gave her a lot of her firsts. Wesley was willing to kill for her while Reid showed her how to live. Wesley had always been her rock while Reid brought out her softer side. One was dark and the other was light.. but both cared deeply for her.Bree had done and experienced a lot of things that made her mature for her age, yet she was still emotionally young. At 18, she was just discovering how it was to really live. She was learning how to be normal. She was finding out a world different from where she grew up. She was getting acquainted with feelings and emotions for the opposite sex. But how big were the consequences of one's sins? Can she really live the life she'd always wanted when she was not equipped to survive in it? Would she choose the one who always had her back, or someone who gave her hope for a future? Did she even have a choice? I devoured this book and it pulled me in, swept away in the lives of Bree, Wesley and Reid, and the intricacies of how their lives intertwined. Assassins and a stripper? Sexy and badass, how can you go wrong?

This is a really great standalone story. It's a gripping story that I struggled to put down. Bree is the main character. For years Bree has been controlled by her father as an assassin. When her friend Wes helps her to escape to America she jumps at the chance of a new life. Her roommate Reid is a hot stripper. I love both Wes and Reid. When Brees past comes crashing back into her life is she strong enough to survive? Will she choose Wes or Reid? Great story full of romance and suspense. I really loved it.

This was something different from K.A. Robinson a story of trying to move on from your past sins but always being aware of your past and trying to find your true self. Bree is a fantastically complex character, she has a past that is dark and scary, a family who is plain revolting. But strength of character to keep going as long as she has. When the opportunity comes to leave her old life behind she grabs it with both hands, even if this new life involves a stripper as a room-mate. Let's face it when you read the book you will want to grab Reid the stripper/room-mate with both hands as well he sounds delicious. Just like the locations this book is set in, god i so want to visit Dallas now it sounds beautiful. \No matter how much i love Reid and Bree together i also have strong feelings for Wesley and the love he and Bree share. Their love is one that is so sweet and pure but covered in darkness also. In fact i am torn by both of these men, I want Reid and Wesley equally as much for Bree and for different reasons, I loved the action scenes in the book K.a Robinson cranked up the tension then let it explode all over and you really did not know which way it was going to end until right up to the end. A great ending and i know this book is a stand alone but K.A. Robinson i need a little bit more please from one of these characters, but i will not say which and spoil it or you. There is plenty of snappy dialogue between all the central characters but Reid comes away with some that will leave you smirking and then laughing with Bree and her equally perfectly placed barbed reply. I firmly recommend this book if you love K.A. Robinson and her work or just want to try out a stand-alone of hers before dipping into her great series that she has wrote.

+++ 3.5 MYSTERIOUS STARS!!! +++Bree along with her best friend Wesley, have been trained at a young age to become skilled assassins. Being children of the mafia, they've never had the opportunity to live their lives like other children. Bree is now 18, and is forced to marry into the Irish to further tie the alliances. She would much rather swim in a pool of acid then have to touch the man she is being forced to be with. All Bree has ever known and seen is violence, killing, and death. Her sins plague her and all she wants is to be free. Wesley, in order to protect her, helps her escape. Securing her a new identity and a plane ticket to America. She goes on this journey of self discovery as she settles into her new life with her very attractive roommate Reid, who low and behold happens to be a stripper. Let’s just say things rather interesting But is Bree really safe? Or will her past come back to torment her?Bree was one of those heroines that had so much to learn in the world. When she came to America her eyes were opened to many new things. No longer was she that weak woman that showed fear when in the same room as her father. Overall, the story may have been about Brie, but what held my constant attention was the sexy and mysterious Reid. He was alluring and broody. He too had secrets of his own. Another character that I would have loved to read more about (and I’m hope he gets his story!) was Wesley. It broke my heart but that life was all he knew and regardless, I feel he deserves his chance at a HEA!This was my first K.A. Robinson book and if I am being honest, I was a bit disappointed. There was so much potential with this story line and concept. I kept waiting for it to pick up and really "grab" me into the book but it didn't happen. Instead of being taken on a roller coaster ride I was cruising down easy street. Listen up though, there is nothing wrong with cruising. I happen to really enjoy a good novel for a lazy day. It's just that I had so many expectations and it just turned out to be not at all what I was expecting. Does this mean I hate the book? NO. Does it mean I’m not going to read another book by K.A. again? Of course not. I will be the first one saying how HOT her cover is or how appealing her blurb sounds and my finger will be one click ready ;).*ARC was kindly provided by the author for an honest review.*

The Consequences of Sin by K.A. Robinson Once I picked this book up, I literally could not put it down. I got caught up in the story, the characters-watching Bree fight her feelings towards Reid and figure out her feelings towards Wes, the love/hate relationship that she had towards her dad. Seeing the emotions play out in the story-the angst, the fear, the lust, the betrayal, and the forgiveness. Obviously, by the title of the book and the blurb that KA has released, you get that there is violence in the book but your dealing with two individuals who are both dealing with the demons in both their past and present. This book definitely kept me turning the pages and guessing on what was going to happen next. *************************** SPOILER ALERT!!! Bree isn't your typical girl. She was born into a deadly family and began training along with her best friend Wes, to be a part of "the family business" since they were old enough to walk. Bree resents the life that she is living in London. She hates being a part of "The family business", but she also fears her father and is unable to stand up to him. That is until she manages to break free and experience what life could truly be like out from under his thumb. After fleeing London and trying to start her life over, Bree finds herself torn when she realizes that she is unable to deny her attraction to her sexy roommate, Reid, and the best friend that she left behind, whom has always been there for her, watched out for her and loved her. But things don't go as smoothly as she had hoped when her life in London suddenly shows up in Dallas and she finds herself and Reid on the run for their lives. Do you think they will be able to survive the Consequences of Sin? Consequences of Sin was a great read and I can't wait to see what comes next from K.A. Robinson.

This is a departure for K.a. She crafted an amazing story revolving around some pretty dirty worlds. Yet with every K.a. book I read I couldn't put it down. I finished it in a matter of hours. Even though some of the characters are dark/evil I still found a way to find them likeable. Thank You K.a.

I was gifted a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.Hold on to....whatever.....just hold on! Consequences of Sin is non-stop action, love, infatuation, and danger, mafia style. I picked this book up and finished it one read....it was that good, it was that intriguing. It made my heart race with fear, sadness, elation, and triumph. "You lost your mother when you were young. You can take down grown men with your bare hands. You don't speak kindly of your father. You grew up with maids taking care of you. And you came all the way across America with no plan in mind. Something tells me you didn't have the best childhood."Life has ups and downs. Bree Bowen's seems to be mainly on the downs. She has been raised by a man who is ruthless and self-serving. His mentality in life is basically kill-or-be-killed. So, it is no wonder that when we find Bree that she is desperately looking for an answer to save her life."Reid set me on fire with just a touch and a few sentences."Reid is hiding from something in his own past. Relationships with females are quick and painless, serving one purpose alone. It is a chance encounter that brings Bree to his doorstep and changes his course of direction and outlook on life. "If Bree knew what kind of man he was she'd never contact him again. He knew that. He'd always known."Wesley has known Bree his whole life. He has been her partner in crime, best friend, and protector. But he's keeping secrets from her that she can't begin to imagine. When we enter the story, Bree is at a confrontational point with her father and seems to be running out of options. She must decide between living with no hope or dying. However, Wesley does not want her to be tied to the life that she has now. So, he makes a plan of escape for her to finally have her freedom. Soon Bree is free and has the chance to experience a "normal" live. She has friends, a great job, and a HOT roommate. She starts being able to explore and do fun things she's never done before. But it would seem that good things don't last forever when it comes to Bree, and soon her past will barge in, effecting her and this new-found life that she has built."It's just..I'm sitting at an Exxon station with a beautiful British assassin, learning how to use a gun. I guess I can check this off my bucket list."In the midst of the madness with Bree and her past ties, Reid gives us a good chuckle. He has now been entrenched into a scenario that would likely have an unfavorable ending, and is trying to come to grips with his entire life and the "what ifs" that this involves. Add to that the relationship between Wesley and Bree that is still undefinable, and he is feeling unsure and desperate. Our main characters continue to go through much more turbulence and unease before bringing us to the ending of their story.K.A. Robinson's writing in Consequences of Sin had me under a spell, and my trance-like state held until the very end. Each of the main characters possessed qualities that engaged me in the storyline. Bree and Reid both had their own naive misunderstandings of life. When Reid first met Bree he had the impression that she was shy and somewhat untouched, not having experienced much in life. Bree, on the other hand, saw Reid as someone who was more sexually experienced and would have no interest in her. These misconceptions were shattered for the good and bad. Of course, I can't leave out our other main character, Wesley. He won me over when he repeatedly put himself in harm's way to help Bree. He is the epitome of a sexy bad boy. I was shocked at his revelations near the end. But, still had an unending connection with him.So, how do I sum up my relationship with Consequences of Sin..... "I felt like this moment was a tiny piece of heaven meant just for us."

Murder, love, vengeance and second chances collide in K.A. Robinson's newest dark romance - The Consequences of Sin!Bree Bowen, alongside her best friend Wes, has been trained as an assassin since she could walk. Her father is second in command to London's largest and deadliest mafia families and he rule's with an iron fist. With each life she is forced to take, Bree looses a little piece of her soul. And her only way out is by agreeing to an arranged marriage with the Irish, a fate worse then death. But with Wes' help she is able to escape to America before that happens. With a new identity Bree starts over in Dallas with a clean slate, finding a new sense of self, happiness, and maybe even love with her new roommate, Reid. But when her past catches up with her Bree must face the consequences of her sins and choose between a love she has always known and a love she is still discovering. The Consequences of Sin was a story with many layers. It begins with intrigue, then moves to suspense, quickly followed by discovery while slowly turning to romance. As soon as you get comfortable with that layer though danger and action is thrown at you with more discovery weaved in, finally ending in romance once again. The opening pages hooked me and K.A. Robinson's writing grabbed. Being a big fan of Rachel Van Dyken's Eagle Elite series, I was intrigued by the premises of a female assassin fleeing mafia life. However, I was a little let down by The Consequences of Sin when it came to the action and suspense side of the story. By the cover and blurb I anticipated a high octane performance. Instead the action was anticlimactic, dragged down by the dialogue, and not balanced well with the romantic side of the story. I would have liked to see a more in depth look into the mafia and it's workings. Though the action didn't live up to my expectations the romance more then exceeded them. It was sweet, sexy, and sigh-worthy. Bree's character shines when she is finally free from her father and living with Reid. She's funny, caring, supportive, and truly comes into herself in this time. Discovering not only the ability to form new friendships when she has never had them, but relationships as well. The reader experiences each new discovery alongside Bree which I enjoyed. There was no denying the chemistry she shared with Reid either, it sparked from their first meeting and smoldered into an all-out blaze in time. Reid was an adorable and sexy character. And he's a stripper with some serious moves on and off the stage. *fans self* I loved him at the beginning of the story, his and Bree relationship developed at a gradual pace with each of them fighting the attraction due to their roommate status until they couldn't fight it any longer. But when crap started hitting the fan and truths came out I was surprised and disappointed by Reid's change of attitude towards Bree. It had me rooting for the loving and protective Wes when he arrived to save the day and profess his love once again for Bree. But love triangle haters, don't worry. Readers know from the start that the only love Bree feels for Wes is that of a deep friendship. I do hope one day we get his story though. I just have to mention one thing about the character descriptions in the book before I wrap this up; every character except for one Irish baddie had 'bright blue' eyes. *raises eyebrow* Really? Why do all book characters now have to have blue eyes? When you walk into a room in real life, how many people actually have blue eyes? Maybe one in five? And I'm usually that one! A little variation would have been nice. All in all though, The Consequences of Sin was a good read from a talented author! I always look forward to a new release from K.A. Robinson.

Bree Bowen, born and raised in England as a Mafia assassin. Her father, Oliver, is the second command of one of England's largest Mafia families. Bree never left the mansion where she lived, unless she was going on an assignment. She was raised along side with her best friend, protector and trained assassin, Wesley. Bree wants out of the life, she want to live a normal life, however her father has other plans. Oliver will be giving Bree to the Irish Mafia to create an alliance. "I hated myself for a lot of things. Maybe I deserved the life I was going to receive. It would be retribution for my sins."Wesley, who sworn to take care of Bree, plans her escape. He sends her to NYC with a new identity as Bree Reynolds. From NYC, Bree randomly chooses to go to Dallas, Texas to begin her new life. "Then, go now. Run while you can. I can still save you, but if he takes you, there's nothing I can do. This is your one chance at freedom. You can forget everything and start fresh. You can let your past go and have an actual life."Before Bree leaves Oliver confesses his true feelings. He's love Bree and will always protect her. When Bree arrives in Dallas she finds an advertisement for a roommate. She goes to checkout the apartment and meets Reid. He agrees to have her as his roommate with conditions. Reid and Bree are both attracted to each other and soon sparks fly.Bree begins to feel free. It doesn't last for long before her father, Bradley and Wesley find her and attempt to take her back to England. Unfortunately, Reid walks into Bree's room at the wrong time and discovers Bree's true identity.Bree, with Wesley's assistance is able to escape from her father. She returns to Reid because he's now in danger. Bree tells Reid the truth about her life in England, what she and Wesley did to survive and her regrets."There's always consequences of sin, Bree-always. You're dealing with yours now, and Wes will eventually have to deal wit his."Oliver finds Bree and Wesley once again. This time he makes a grave mistake and get what he deserves. In the end it's Bree doesn't have to choose between Wesley and Reid. The decision is made for her. This story isn't dark, it's a story about being freed from the dark. Bree is only eighteen years old and had lived a long life. She has a chance at freedom and takes it. She begins to discover herself along the way, while learning to cope with her past. Unlike the other assassins she left behind, Bree was not a cold-hearted killer. Reid is a great character. Although he's a stripper, he has real ambitions. He also learn from his experience and will no longer take the small things for granted. I enjoyed this story! I hope Wesley gets his own story. He's was surprisingly the dark anti-hero in the end. I almost expected a menage with the three of them. (Yes, I need to get my mind out of the gutter.) K.A. Robinson does not disappoint. I was really excited about this book when I first heard about it! All I had to go on was the synopsis, but that sealed the deal that I was definitely going to read it lol! I've also read quite a few of this author's other books and loved them, so I knew this book was going to be amazing! And then I saw the cover for this book! As if I needed something else to make me want it more lol! It I freaking loved this book! As soon as I stared reading it, I couldn't put it down until I had finished it! I was reading it every opportunity I got! It totally blew me away and I got through it in a few sittings! The plot was amazing! It was full of action, romance and suspense, which I loved! These three things make a plot for me, so I was really happy that they were all in this book! The plot was also developed at the perfect pace and the action and suspense were written brilliantly and the romance was seriously hot! I couldn't actually fault anything with the plot lol! Everything about it was amazing! The characters were just as amazing as the plot! Bree was the main character, and I actually felt really sorry for her in this book! All she wanted was to be free and live her life the way she wanted, but instead she was controlled by her father and she had to become a killer, which I could see was the last thing she wanted too be! Bree came a long way in this book though! She got her freedom and she was able to live without looking over her shoulder and do what she wanted with her life! I just loved Bree! She was a pretty kick-ass character and she could hold her own, which impressed me! She was really likeable as well and I connected brilliantly with her! Reid was the love interest of Bree, and he was seriously hot! And a stripper... Yep, you read that right lol! To me, this made him even hotter lol! I wish there were a few more stripper scenes though ;) I loved Reid! He was such a genuine guy who really was put in the middle of a very dangerous situation! He handled it really well though! Reid also reacted the exact same way I would have when he found out Bree's secrets! I liked that he gave her the chance to explain herself and that he was always there for her though it all! It told me a lot about the kind of guy he was! There was a bit of a love triangle in this book between Bree, Reid and Bree's best friend, Wesley! I was expecting this love triangle to become more apparent as the book developed, and it was! It wasn't the main focus of the plot though, which I loved, but the love triangle added a lot to the plot! I'm really sad that this book is a standalone! The ending was left at the perfect place and there weren't any unanswered questions, so I can understand why it is! The cover for this book suits it perfectly! I knew it was going too after I saw it, but after reading the book, I can see just how perfect it is! I absolutely love it! Big thank you to K.A. Robinson for an ARC of The Consequences of Sin and to Book Addict Mumma for having me on the Blog Tour!

For eighteen years, Bree Bowen has been trapped under her father's tyrannical control. She's been a solider...an assassin for the London Mafia, and she's been trained and given the tools to deceive and kill.Bree is defined by her sins - every kill...every sinful act has consequences - ones that now threaten to destroy her new identity and life.As Bree Reynolds, she seeks a fresh start - a clean slate if you will, but when one's life has been filled with nothing but death and destruction, it's only a matter of time before the sins of the past seek retribution for a future that shouldn't necessarily exist due to the consequences of one's actions.Bree may know how to kill and deceive, but she is extremely innocent about all other aspects of the outside world. When she escapes to the United States, she has the ability for freedoms that she's never experienced before and one of those new experiences comes in the form of Reid Simmons, a hot as hell stripper who becomes her roommate and then so much more, but when her past catches up with her, will Bree's lies and unforgiving father ruin any hopes of a future free from her old life, forcing her to face her sins and perhaps pay the ultimate price for her misdeeds?K.A. Robinson created a great heroine in Bree. Her father tried to create her to be a cold blooded killer who feels nothing, but she was not cut out for that kind of life, and Robinson does a great job of showing her conflicted emotions as she struggles to make her life her own in Texas. She's a ballsy woman who knows how to kill a man but doesn't really know how to be in a relationship, but she's also not afraid to learn. She is looking to redefine herself and feel every possible emotion she can because that's how she takes back her life and lives freely. Her relationship with Reid helps her to grow and learn, and her friendship with Wesley and the bond that they share proves more advantageous for her new life than anything else. I always love a heroine who can take care of herself and Bree fits that description well. The Consequences of Sin is a great read with a perfect blend of suspense, romance, and intrigue. I enjoyed watching everything play out, and I would love to see Wesley get his own book. His point of view at the end of the text shows who he is at his core, and there's definitely a complex story to tell.A complimentary copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.4 poison apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)

Bree, wow!! Holy shit what a way to start a book!!!! I sure as hell did not see our heroine as an assassin. A chick, a freaking chick is out killing people for her dad's business. She's a trained, yes TRAINED assassin. Her good ole daddy has been training his one and only child to be a killing machine since she could remember. She's 18 and has killed more people than she cares to admit. Does she like it? HELL NO!!!Daddy dearest is one sick man. But I swear this makes Bree one badass chick you do not want to mess with. She's 18 and daddy has plans for her. She's done being his slave, his minion. She needs out but how? Wes to the rescue. Wes and Bree grew up together, his dad is in the business too. Mafiosos united! Well, he's a killing machine and also Bree's best friend. He and she are a team. But he sees the dilemma she is and knows that she wants out, when he sees the opportunity he sends her off to freedom!Freedom comes in the form of a one way ticket to the USA. She ends up in Dallas and meets Reid who was looking for a roommate and she was the one to knock on his door. Never ever has she felt what she feels when Reid is around. Boys/Men were never a part of her world, heck even when Wes kissed her and professed his love for her when he dropped her off at the airport. Reid is just delish!!!She needs to find a job and Reid helps her. She finally get a job but wonders what Reid does for a living and she is shocked to find out that he is a stripper. She can see why he is one. The man is just sex on legs. She gets tingles and her heart skips a beat when they are in the same room! But, he's her roommate!!!!! Why must he be so good looking. Reid is also lusting his roommate but is too scared to act on his feelings.Things are going good for our girl Bree until her past meets her dead on when she least expects it. Now she is trying to figure out how to keep not only herself safe but Reid. Reid has issues he is dealing with and he won't let her in. She knows how that feels because she has so many secrets of her own. Will she manage to keep herself safe? Will she have to tell Reid her secrets? How will he react when he finds out who and what she really is? This book is one hell of a good book. K.A. does not disappoint. She delivers a hot, kickass heroine who we see growing into one hell of a woman. #TeamReid I wonder if we will see more of this badass chick.

From the first page until the very end, I couldn't put this book down. The Consequences of Sin is so different from anything else that K.A. Robinson has written, and it's absolutely amazing.Bree and Wes are best friends, and have been together since birth. They do everything together: school lessons, train, and fight. They just happen to be mafia children and trained assassins, so they also kill together. Bree is tired of the life, and feels a part of herself dying with each life that she takes. Wes will do anything for her, even make arrangements for her to move to another country so she can get the life that she deserves. They both know that once she leaves, they will never see each or talk to each other ever again. Knowing this, Wes confesses to Bree that he's in love with her and has been for quite some time. Bree is given a chance to start over and leave her old life behind, and she looks forward to what her new future may hold. She misses Wes fiercely, but soon finds friendship with her hot new roommate Reid. Reid is laid-back, carefree, sweet, and caring. Even though they have a few things in common, Bree knows that she can never fully open up to him about her past. She hates keeping things from him, but doesn't want to reveal the darkness of her life before she met him.As Bree and Reid get closer, the attraction that she feels for him continues to get stronger, and she soon realizes that he attracted to her as well. They decide that a relationship is worth pursuing. Things seem to be going well until Bree's past catches up with her and threatens to destroy not only her future, but Reid's as well. When she unexpectedly comes face to face with Wes again, she doesn't see the eyes of the man who helped her escape. They are now cold when they look at her, and she instantly feels that he betrayed her. But things aren't always as they seem.K.A. Robinson does an amazing job of keeping you in suspense in this book, and has you wondering did Wes betray Bree? If given a choice, will she choose to be with Reid or Wes? A definite must-read.

UnforgettableThis was a wickedly disturbing and emotional read that captivated me from beginning to end. Bree was raised by a domineering father to be one thing and one thing only and that was to become part of the shadows that we all fear is lurking behind every corner. Bree's emotions played right off the pages and kept me transfixed on every turmoil, every tear, every smile. My heart absolutely broke for her. Wes her best friend is a man who has always had her back and wanted nothing more than to be the man she needed. With the help of Wes, Bree is able to escape and become the person she always dreamed of being. While discovering herself she meets the delicious and delectable Reid who is a stripper and also her new roommate. Alas, twists and turns arise, secrets are revealed, and romance blossoms in such unexpected ways. The characters created are wonderfully damaged and so complex. It's not too far into the book, when you start to experience the same exact emotions they are. You start to hate, you start to sympathize, and you begin to fall in love in every way. But what do you do when the consequences of your past sins finds you and turn your world upside down, you fight until your last breath. This is not a story for the faint of heart. It’s about past sins and you will not know what to do with yourself or what man is right for Bree, Wes or Reid. Do you stick with the man who has protected you your whole life or do you take a journey with a man who loves you as the person you are becoming. THE CONSEQUENCES OF SIN will take the breath right out of you, and will leave you raw and wondering about the choices you have made in the past. I can't say enough about this book the writing was powerful, the storyline was amazing and unforgettable and as K.A. was a new to me author I will definitely be checking out more of her books.

4.5 Stars!!!This one was a little different for Kelly but so well done! I enjoyed this book from page 1 thru to the last word! Make sure to add this one to your tbr! Full review to follow on blog tour!A book about assassins……nah….A book about assassins written by K.A. Robinson…..HELL YEAH!!! This was a “different” type of read from Kelly and I am soooo glad that I had the opportunity to read this book before release! I LOVED it! This story had it all, angst, suspense, unrequited love, friendship and twisted family values and second chances. I loved the depth of the relationship between Wesley and Bree and that fact that in spite of his true self he put her wants and needs first. Starting over is hard enough, starting over while trying to keep yourself hidden from your past and everything you’ve fled beyond difficult. As luck would have it Bree finds herself a roommate with very little trouble. Where’s the luck….um he’s a male stripper. While close to Wesley, Bree doesn’t think of him as more than a protective brother therefore seeing nothing with pursuing a relationship with Reid, her new roommate. As Bree begins to get comfortable with her new life and the relationship she is forging with Reid, she still tries to keep herself in top form. She knows her father will not rest until she’s found and she knows that only one of them will be leaving that reunion alive. When her worst nightmare becomes a reality, Reid is trapped there along side her. Will she be able to survive her father’s wrath? Will Reid be another death on her conscience? Will Wesley prove to be her enemy or ally?Go grab your copy of The Consequences of Sin and find out for yourself!!

Consequence......result, outcome of actionSin......illegal or immoral actionK.A. Robinson shows us that for every sin we commit there is an equal consequence. This is a journey of self discovery as the h runs away from the only life she has every known to start over. Starting fresh not only in a new place, but a new country while recreating herself as someone else...as the person she "chose" to be instead of being forced to be.I loved the strength of the female character. I loved that she didn't need anyone to protect her if push came to shove because she could do that with her bare hands. BUT, I would be lying right through my teeth if I didn't tell you that the H is who really had me on the edge of my seat.He is enigma personified. He eluded mystery, I mean seriously from the first chapter he is introduced you can see it dripping off the pages. He is what kept me interested. I needed to know all of his secrets and I couldn't stop until I knew them, ALL of them. Then we have our "other" mystery man, not as mysterious in the secret keeping department, but still just as alluring and appealing. If only for a chapter, I am glad we were given insight into him as well. I'm hoping that he will get his own story because I am officially intrigued. This was a quick read filled with deceit, hidden truths, reinventing oneself and finding love BUT, as far as the dark aspect to me it wasn't as dark as I thought it would be initially. I feel as if she could have really WENT there, if she wanted to go in that direction. Either way, whether this book was dark enough or not, it was intriguing.

A potential love triangle with 2 assassins and a stripper !! How could you go wrong with that !! LOLThis book has a very different feel from the KA I have read but yet still has just enough of the sexual tension , drama and suspense that we all love from her stories !! Bree was born into a horrible lifestyle and though she seems weak to her father and does hate the way she lives , she is very determined to get away and have a fresh start. With the help of her only friend , her best friend since childhood she may just get to live out that dream. Reid and Bree are an unlikely pair !! She is an assassin from London now in America for the 1st time and he is a born and raised Texan that works as a stripper !! It would be comical if there wasn't so much HOT sexual tension going on !! With many secrets between the two of them will their newfound relationship survive their pasts or will it be too much ??Wes is suppose to be Bree's protector but it seems as if he is the cause of her past catching up to her. How will it play out when the London underground comes to America looking for Bree ?? What is Wes doing and what will come of his actions when he goes back home ??This story was great. I loved getting to know the characters and following the journey with Bree on her way to a new life. Her relationships with both guys were confusing and heartbreaking in the end one will be alone and none of them will ever be the same. Sidenote , this says it is a standalone but dang I would love some more WES !!

I'm a big fan of K.A. Robinson so I was so excited to receive an ARC of her new novel Consequences of Sin (Thank you Thank you Thank you). This book sounded really interesting and darker than her previous works. Reading the synopsis you know that Bree is a assassin. However she is really bothered by the whole 'killing' thing. Enter Wes, or Hot Guy Number 1. Wes is her best friend and known her forever. He is also an assasisn. Bree is about to be abused horribly because of her family so Wes gets her a fake identity and sends her to America. Enter Hot Guy Number 2, Reid, her new roommate.I really liked the idea that she leaves everything and has to start over with little money and not sure what to do. The whole process of her finding her own footing in a whole other country was written well. This book seemed a little short to me. There was so much happening that I thought it could have been spread out more. Also I wish she had gotten more time to settle in, like a few months, instead of two weeks before trouble finds her. I also wanted that extra time for Reid and her relationship to develop. What I did love was Bree's compassion. There was also a sort-of love triangle, but not really. There was more focus on what Bree needed than the drama of a love triangle which was great! The guys actually ended up getting along, which again is something rarely found when you have a love triangle. This was a book the I did devour in one sitting! I found the story original and overall just another great read by K.A. Robinson!

This book somewhat leaves me speechless. There's no way to describe it without spoiling. Anything KA writes is gold and this was no different. I tried to guess how it would end before I even finished and I was totally wrong. This book grips you and keeps you on the edge. When you're an assassin, obviously you can't just relax. Especially when your some what of an escaped slave. Reading from Bree's POV, you can't either. I read this fairly quickly cuz I NEEDED to know how it would play out. I was excited to read something different from this author because she continues to amaze me with the different scenarios she writes. She writes what she wants which can be a risk depending who you are and your writing style. She can pull it off tho. That's not only refreshing but a true sign of talent. Ok....This became a review about the author haha. Let's get back on track. You will LOVE this book. If you don't ONE CLICK, you'll regret it. The emotions that are pulled from reading it....ugh I wish there was more! I hope there's a book about the one character that surprised me. When I read the epilogue, I just couldn't believe it. I need to learn more about him. He has to get more than that. He deserves more than that. PLEASE LET THERE BE A BOOK TWO! Sorry if this wasn't helpful, but trust me I'd spoil it if I really expressed my feelings about it. I'd probably re tell it haha. ((HUGS))ARC given by the author for an honest review<\B>

Oh my – The Consequences of Sin was intense. Captivating. I was on the edge of my seat, devouring each page to see how the plot unfolded. This latest release is a must read simply because it is not your typical love story. I loved it.The drama and your anticipation continuously builds for all the characters and it feels like you’re on a roller coaster. You’re climbing toward that unavoidable first drop and when the world falls out from beneath your feet it’s a crazy ride. You knew what was coming but you’re still unprepared for all that K.A. Robinson has is store for you.I don’t want to rehash the basic plot for you – the book blurb is pretty accurate. But what is does not prepare you for is how hot Reid and Bree are together. You feel the sexual tension and want to personally pop the bubble so that they get it on. You feel their connection so much so that you are rooting for and want the impossible for them – you want their love to survive. And Wes…. He plays both a major and minor part in The Consequences of Sin. Once you meet him and experience him all you are thinking is – holy crap – does he have a book? Can he get a book? Please.I have yet to read anything from this author that I have not enjoyed and shared with friends. The Consequences of Sin is an incredibly entertaining book and I highly recommend it.

Bree is born into a family that definitely isn't the Cleavers. The exact opposite, in fact, of a warm and loving mother and father combo. After training in London with her best friend, and basically soulmate, Wes, to become a part of the "family business", Bree discovers that the life she has been groomed for is not the one she wants but just leaving is not easy. She basically escapes without Wes and she ends up with a new life and a new chance at a future in Texas. She meets Reid, who becomes her roommate and she finds herself feeling both attraction and guilt because of her lingering feelings for Wes. Soon, her life in London crashes into her life in Dallas and things get very interesting. This is not a book anything like any K.A Robinson book other than the unexpected tense scenes and drama which a lot of her books have- the darkness and criminal background of the characters in this one are new for me from an author known for your HEA New Adult and YA reads. She definitely showed her range and talent as an author with COS and I really enjoyed reading the struggle, strength and fight in Bree- both strong and weak, real and somewhat unreal at the same time, and her feelings for two men give this story twists and turns that will most definitely keep you reading this all the way through. Five stars from me, I have yet to read a K.A Robinson book I did not love. ~ Kellie

How could she leave her Wesley behind?Run that is what she would do, start over find freedom. Bree has found the freedom and life dreamed of free of danger and guilt. She has found Reid. But can he keep her past behind her? Can she keep Reid safe? This book is suspenseful, thrilling and filled with love. Oh did I forget HOT!!! yeah Red and Bree are scorching up the pages of this book. For Reid, getting to know each other could never have been considered a danger to your health, until he let Bree into his.You are gonna love reading this book, I mean K.A hasn't let me down yet and I know she will thrill you! 4 StarsBree has been raised in a life she can not stand. She knows there is more to life than killing, she just has to find it. The only good she has ever had in her life is her best friend Wesley. Now the world she knows is about to crumble. She must escape, run, start over. Roommate wanted! Bree meets Reid. He's hot, he's a stripper and he has no idea who she used to be. Worlds collide, there is never a true escape from the underside of London. This is a great story. Lots of action, lots of lust. I struggled with Reid some, he seemed a little fake, I just couldn't like him. He has all the parts of a great BBF but they just didn't fit together for me. Wesley seems like his story would be interesting.

5 stars - I loved it. This was very different and unique, but then again K.A. only writes different and unique stories. This was one of them. Not one thing about this was boring from beginning to end. I've read one other assassin themed novels before but this was by far my favorite. And awesome. I loved Bree she wanted an out and her best friend gave her one. I was sad when they parted. But I loved how fierce , feisty and independent and how dead set she was to starting over and becoming someone, new life. I loved Reid it must be nice having a roommate who's a male stripper, she doesn't have to go far for a strip show or lap dance lol. Overall it was a amazing story and would recommend to anyone.

I did not know what to expect with this book. And honestly that didn't matter because I will read anything that is published by K.A. Robinson. She is one of my all-time favorite authors and I have loved all of her books. This book was different than the books I usually read but I was not disappointed, i mean who does not like assassins & male strippers? I was so torn between Reid and Wes. I love them both. In the end everything worked out how it should and it made perfect sense. Bree's father was just evil. I know that this was meant to be a standalone but I would love to read more about Wes, Cali, Jake, & Scott.

This was an edge of your seat kind of book from the very first page and the action didn't stop until the very last page. KA hooked me with Bree who was such a dichotomy having the dark side that was forced upon her and the light side that she longed for so much. I think that the men she loved reflected that as well. She loved Wes who is part of the old life and falls for Reid which is everything she wants for her future. I so enjoyed Bree's story and really want to read Wes' next.I give The Consequences of Sin 5 hearts!

This book was a good read. I enjoyed the story. Bree isn't your normal girl. She has been brought up different then other kids. She has been trained to be an assassin. This book isn't your usual love story at all. I kinda wanna say it's a love triangle. The problem is I loved all the characters. I couldn't decide who i liked more they were all equally the same and I liked them. The story keeps you entertain from beginning to end. At no point could I ever figure out the story! I really liked this one! Great standalone
