Secrets is the second book in the Sapphire Springs series, Dreams is the first book. Secrets tells the story of Tia and Cole, whom happen to be Kylie and Devins best friends. To start with, you need to read Dreams in order to understand Secrets because many of the events from that book play a part in this one. To write this review I need to compare and contrast Secrets and Dreams to get my point across, so please bear with me. ;) First and foremost, I really enjoyed reading Secrets, I thought the level of writing was about fifty times better than it had been in Dreams. Don't get me wrong, Dreams was a great book, a total five stars for me, but the story in this one was taken to a whole new level. I felt the plot was a lot stronger and there was a lot more mystery and suspense surrounding Tia and her past. The build-up of who Tia really is had me at the edge of my couch, in my head I had an idea, but my guess fell seriously short to reality. Once her past is out and people realize who she is, it was interesting to see the reactions of those closest to her. Of course, the real entertainment comes in the form of a giant ex-special ops guy named Cole, who just happens to be a sexy Native American man. Cole's gritty past is also revealed, which is a real problem for him because of his love for Tia. Of course, this wouldn't be a Sapphire Springs novel without the Blackthorn family playing a HUGE main role in this book. So for all you fan girls, the brothers do play a big part in this story. Devin and Kylie are a main part of the story to boot. Now lets talk perspectives, because this is a bigger cast than you'd normally see in this type of book. I enjoyed the switching of perspectives, I got both Tia and Cole's point of view, but the bad guys an the agents from the US Gov. as well. Even with this switching of perspectives, which my friends know drive me nuts, this didn't, I was able to easily keep everyone straight. The voice of each character was different, even the descriptions slightly varied from one character to another. Now not to scare everyone off, this isn't like crazy hopping POVs like BDB. This is more subtle and happens every few chapters just for a bit before returning to Tia&Cole. Every scenes does revolve around this couple, the attention isn't swayed, there aren't any silly side stories either. Everything is pertinent and ties together. What really surprised me the most though is Morgan's ability to write a bad guy that toys with your emotions. In Dreams, I loathed Allen with every fiber of my being. He truly was an evil b@stard, I was glad to see his ending. However, in Secrets the bad guys aren't as black an white because multiple factions of the mob are involved. Your probably like, "oh multiple, must be different families", which it is but it's more than that. You've got the Russians, the Italians and the independents, mix in a couple deranged sociopaths and you've got a full house. Some of these men aren't evil, so you feel or them, while others your just like "Oh, I hope an elephant stomps you out.". Now for the nitty gritty, aka sex. There is a good amount of sex scenes in this book, all are done quite well. There's not really any gross or hilariously weird descriptions going on, which I can appreciate. The emotions definitely come through, so it's nice your not getting meaningless sex. There placement also make sense, there's not just random sex scenes tossed throughout the book like you'll sometimes find in romance stories. I would really have to say though that the plot of this story is the most important and major aspect to this book. The emotional build up seems far more important as well, this isn't another smut book with a weak story to mask it. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, so I'd recommend to my friends an anyone 18+. I received an ARC copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I can also honestly say, the editing on this book was well done.

Quick note: NOT part of the review. I read book 1 after book 2 and what a world of difference in how I saw Secrets.Secrets by Savannah Morgan is much like an intriguing soap opera on steroids! There is high drama, total character participation, each having their own spotlight revealing their thoughts, actions and past memories, as a basis for the person they are today. Everyone has a secret, some good people are seen as evil or deceitful, but do they have a reason? Where there is perceived evil there are villains disguised as angels, secretly casting seeds of doubt and plotting for their own advancement.Savannah Morgan has a truly wonderful gift of sending out her subplots and deftly entangling them with each other. The real question becomes whose secrets should be told and whose secrets will help or hurt the most people involved. From the mafia to black ops, everyone has a secret, will they be told? What is no secret is that Savannah Morgan can write as she builds a world that is elegant, intense and dangerous to be in! High on intrigue, high on character involvement, high on tension!I received this copy as part of the release day launch for Secrets, which is book TWO in the Sapphire Springs series. I was fortunate to have been given book 1, Dreams to better understand Secrets. To coin a phrase, "You are known by the company you keep," book one answered every gray area I had and more! Therefore, am revising my review for Secrets because it IS the perfect follow up in the continuing drama that is lived in Sapphire Springs. Savannah Morgan's ability to connect and dig deep into her imagination without singeing her keyboard is phenomenal. Pulling it off in one novel is one thing, upping the stakes in the next is masterful! I would, without a doubt read more from this talented author, she has created the heat, the drama and tension, sparing no words, no pages or any part of herself.Series: Sapphire Springs - Book 2Publication Date: January 27, 2015Publisher: Savannah MorganPrint Length: 504 pagesAvailable from: AmazonReviewed for: http://tometender.blogspot.com

This is the second installment in the Sapphire Springs Series. After I read the first book in this series I couldn't wait for more and this book didn't disappoint. In this installment we learn Tia's story. Tia is the mafia princess twice over we find out in this story. On her mother's side she is in the Italian Mafia and on her father's side she's in the Russian Mafia and she struggles to maintain a normal life outside her family's connections. In her life away from her family she has to keep everything about herself a secret in order to protect those she loves. On a visit to her father's everything comes to head and she is sent home early due to rising conflicts. Not knowing that she is about to be exposed to the very person she loves. Cole gets pulled out of retirement to deal with the mafia princess. Things go crazy when he realizes who Tia really is. Cole and Tia's love blossoms even as turmoil is all around them. This book has it all action, hot sex, strong characters and so much more. I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it. Loved it and can't wait for the next installment. Savannah Morgan gives her readers everything they could possibly want in her stories. I highly recommend buying this book as soon as its released you won't regret it.

Sapphire Springs, Montana is a place where no one is what you would expect and many have very deep dark Secrets. Tia Mitchel is one of those. Where does she go 4 times a year for 7 days? She doesn't even tell her best friend where she goes or why. What is her Secret?Cole Lawson works for BSI a security company. Yet he is so much more. Telling anyone would result in his being terminated. What is his Secret?Secrets have a way of coming out when you least expect them to.I was so pleased and excited to be asked to Beata-Read this Story. I had to read this 2x's (because I wanted to)and will be rereading again and again. The story just flows like that of a very seasoned writer! I loved how all the different characters never detracted from the main story, they all had their time and place. The Love Scenes OHHHMYYY Very Detailed and Sizziling. The Chemistry between Tia & Cole will heat up your E-Reader! I Highly Recommend This Book5 StarsPromoting Authors, Books & Reviews Patches

Savannah did an awesome job with this book just like she did with Dreams. Once you start her books, you can't put them down. You have to keep reading to find out what happens. At first, with Cole...you want to slap him. lol. You understand where his coming from but you still want to shake him. The fireworks between Cole and Tia...are WOW....sex scenes will make you HOT but you can tell they really love each other. Just like Devin in Dreams, Cole is also ALPHA male and just sexy. Once again, they story line hits on things that are really happening. You also get info on the characters that are in Dreams, so you get to see whats happening to them now. I LOVE both books and recommend them to everyone. Great job Savannah

Ah, Sapphire Springs. A seemingly sleepy little town on the outside but, upon closer inspection, a town filled with complicated people and even more complicated relationships. Cole Lawson has been attracted to Tiana Mitchel for the past six years. He knows that behind her beautiful eyes are a host of secrets though. Secrets Cole hates ever since being betrayed by a partner in action and ending up captured and tortured. How could he trust someone not telling him the whole truth? Tia, where does she go several times a year for seven days? Secrets kept for years that are about to be blown apart. Retiring from his unit was not something easily done for Cole, being called back for "one last assignment" is going to be even more difficult. When he's assigned to protect, and interrogate, the daughter of a man about to turn on Russian crime boss, Aleksandr Petrovich, years of secrets are revealed causing the implosion of Tia's carefully constructed life. With an international flavor on American soil, Savannah Morgan takes us into the world of Russian and Italian mobs, nasty double dealings and just plain old crazy to bring us the actually very sweet, but definitely lusty, love story of Cole and Tia. With the Blackthorn, McKinnon and Lawson families closing ranks to do things their way, down and dirty, the government and the mobs don't stand a chance. With a complex plot and sub-plots running throughout, lots and lots of hot sex, the return of our old friends from Sapphire Springs and enough action to keep you guessing, Secrets refused to let me put it down until I was finished, hooking me in right from the start. I'm looking forward to the next installment out of Sapphire Springs, with the extremely hot US Marshall, Duncan. (I received an ARC for an independent review)

Wowsers, what a book, I loved it :)Savannah Morgan writes a fabulous book, so much detail and depth to the characthers and story. This is my first book by this author and I wondered if I should have read book 1 first, but I felt that this book fills in the previous book missing bits very well, that being said after reading this book I wish I had read book 1 as Devin is hot and his relationship with Kylie is evident through this book.On to Secrets......Cole, omg his hot, his so strong and alpha how has Tia kept her distance from him for so long? Well thats easily answered, she has secrets, deep secret, basically a whole other life!Tia, has been on Cole's mind for a long time, but he knew something was off with her but couldnt put his finger on it, when his pulled back to his unit for 'one more' mission his given no choice but to get down and dirty and dig up her secrets, but lots can happen when your holed up in a secluded lodge......I really loved this book, I didnt want to put it down the story just flowed effortlessly and the characthers came to life in my mind by how they were described and the story told.I will be reading book 1 in the sapphire springs series and adding the next book to my tbr.5 you must read Vampy and Racey Stars**I was received an arc for an honest review**

I need to start by saying I did not read the first novel in this series (Dreams) because the description said it could be read as a stand alone, BUT I think I would have had a better grasp on everything if I had read it first. In the first 10% of the book, I was overwhelmed with names and trying to tie all the relationships together. This did get better as the book went on, but I was worried at first. Cole and Tia have known each other for many years, but the secrets they have kept from each other have kept them from being together. They are both trying to protect the other, but they are also in denial as to what they truly want. They are forced together when Cole is put in charge of protecting Tia from harm that may come to her because of her father and grandfather’s businesses. Cole is angry with Tia for keeping the major secrets that he’s now been told and just wants her to confess. They “train” for her self defense, but in reality, I would say they are boxing out their frustrations. Once everything is admitted and they come together, the real story gets started. Cole & Tia have an explosive relationship. When they fight, they fight hard. When they love, they love even harder. The sex scenes were super hot and there were plenty to get you excited. THe story was strong and kept you on the edge of your seat. I think a major undertone of this novel was growth. I hate when characters are stagnate in a story, and this one definitely didn’t have that problem. There were many times when Tia, Cole and even the other characters fought thru and came out stronger. One such scene for me was when Tia was talking with her father. She hugged her father harder and let the feel of his strong arms comfort the little girl still inside of her that missed her father’s affection and love for so long. She allowed the woman she had become to accept that comfort as well. I also enjoyed that Cole who was a total alpha male, who looked as intimidating as anyone ever, was also gentle in his love of Tia.He placed light kisses over her chin to her lips where he took her in the most tantalizing, tender kiss he had ever given a woman. He allowed himself to just relish in this moment, not demanding anything, only giving. A tender gift of himself to her. I chose to read this book because I hadn’t read anything like it before and I really enjoyed it. If you’re looking for a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat, this novel is for you.

*I received this book in exchange for an honest review *Dreams, the first installment in Sapphire Springs MUST be read first! Afterward, I recommend wasting no time before jumping into Secrets. The connections from the first book to the second will shake everything you assumed to have known and shock you to the core.  This is the BEST romantic - thriller I've read yet!I am thoroughly impressed by highly - detailed structure of this books prose. It had to have taken a lot of research and involves a vast amount of knowledge combined with the imagination for it to function properly. It is extremely well-written! Though it seems answers are supplied early on, mysteries abound and heated atmospheres between Cole and Tia become the intrigue of the story. Each turn of the page is laced with its fill of fascination and desire. Throw in passionate intimacy and dare to even think of not finishing this book. I love Tia and Cole even more than Devin and Kylie! With that in mind, another wondrous element is the continuation of Devin and Kylie's story flawlessly intertwining itself into the plot of Secrets. All that is loveable about Sapphire Springs continues to be represented. As the secrets surface, however,  certain characters are to be absolutely loathed!  If you've read other reviews then you already know of the many, many mob ties within the story-line. Staring that minute fact doesn't do it justice.  There are so many shock - factors woven throughout Secrets that I didn't stand a chance at not finishing the story. Every time I was certain the book was headed in one direction,  another twist would tantalize my intrigue beyond being bareable! I would give it many more than 5 stars if possible.  I may have enjoyed Dreams by Savannah Morgan,  but Secrets can blow this writer's beyond amazing skills out of the water. I'm still in awe.

5 Stars! I received an ARC in exchanged for an honest review.Secrets is my first Savannah Morgan read, it took me a while and some notes to finally know who's who in the story because I haven't even read book 1 ( slapping my forehead ) but anyway, I survived and finished this book! WOW! Secrets is a jam-packed book, it’s been one helluva read! Suspense, action, and hot sex scenes! It ends in HEA too, so all the gut wrenching scenes were so worth it and you will crave for some more. I enjoyed it and I can't wait to read the next book to come.

***I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.***Secrets is the second book in the Sapphire Springs Series, and it definitely lives up to its name. Secrets abound throughout this whole book. Some good, some bad, and most of all some life-changing. The author did a great job of setting up this book as part of a series by introducing us to Cole and Tia in Dreams. This couple is explosive. They are like night and day, but when they are together, the sexual tension flies.Tia is a woman who was born into the wrong family. Her whole childhood was spent in a life of violence and specific protocols. Ensconced in the Russian Mafia, Tia’s family is something that she can never escape. When she turns 18, she is finally able to start to live life on her own, but there are still conditions by which she must live by. Once she moves to Sapphire Springs, she feels a sense of freedom that she has never experienced before. Even though she has to pretend to be someone else, and watch what she says and does, it is still the first time in forever that she feels a real connection with people who care about her.Cole fits the definition of alpha male to a T. With a past riddled with danger, violence, terror and death, he struggles to find the light he once knew. Having been surrounded by so much darkness, and having been betrayed before, he finds it difficult to trust. Tia is on his radar. He cares for the woman, but he also knows that she is keeping things from him and he is determined to break down the walls that keep him out. When the truth comes out, it is more shocking than anyone can imagine. People you thought were friend may now be foe, and no one is as they seem. Enemies may come to be friends, and life turns out as no one expected. This story is extremely complicated and well thought out. The author excels at telling a story with multiple story lines and interconnecting plots. The characters are always well-developed and relate-able. The story refreshing and unique. The drama amped up enough to leave you on the edge of your seat. It is very impressive that the author has taken the time to incorporate other cultures and languages. I also think it is wonderful that she provides a list of phrases at the beginning of the book for reference. The only things I really don’t care for are some of the words choices related to the sex scenes. They were in the first book as well, and sometimes they take me out of the story and I find a hard time connecting to the scene. There are still some editing issues as well, but the story more than makes up for those things.I have enjoyed this series, and the characters are fascinating. The passion is palpable, and the action always keeping the story line moving. I highly recommend this book, and this author. Though this book can be read as a stand alone, I would only recommend reading it after Dreams, as many of the characters make an appearance in Secrets, and it is easier to understand the plot.

Secrets....Definitely the main issue in this story. And you cant help but understand the reasoning behind the secrets. Yet it is a wonderful look into what harm even the best intentioned secrets can cause. Tia (Tatiana) has been hiding some very important and dangerous secrets the better part of her life. And she knows that revealing these secrets could put everything in her life in serious Danger. Not to mention herself.......Cole, wonderfully sexy inside and out, also has his own secrets. One of those secrets not so well hidden. His complete attraction to Tia. The exotically beautiful, long legged, fun loving sass Tatiana. Then add the action, suspense, intricate story line and you have a 5* rating all the way. Secrets is the follow up to Dreams. Savannahs first in the series. And although Dreams does NOT have to be read first (in fact both CAN be standalones) you get better in depth background on each member of this extended family. I would not have thought it possible for an author to write 2 book sin a series so differently yet so similarly. Secrets still focuses on getting to know each individual character, which is what I LOVED in Dreams. The big difference in Secrets is that Ms. Morgan was able to have characters completely different and individual from those in her other book. You dont feel like they are the same people just with different names from book to book. Cole and Tia dress differently, have different interests, different feelings etc from her characters in Dreams. (Kylie and Devin) I LOVE the diversity Ms Morgan can write her characters with. And cant leave out those steamy love scenes. There are plenty in Secrets, no concerns. But again they are completely different from those in Dreams.Secrets is a story worth reading even if you have or have NOT read Dreams. (Although in my opinion, youre missing out if you skip Dreams.)

*I was provided this copy for an honest review. In Secrets: A Sapphire Springs Novel by Savannah Morgan, Tatiana (Tia) is given a chance to live a normal life, outside of the mafia family she grew up with. Things are going well for her, she’s building a life, a business and friendships. Then Cole takes over.Cole Lawson was done with the military but they weren’t done with him. They recalled him for this specific mission and he’d never get recalled again, ever. The problem was that it involved a woman that he didn’t want to hurt even though he was angry that she had lied to him and kept her secrets. He decides to do things his way which puts a lot of people after them. They have to find a way to trust each other to survive. The only problem becomes what happens after that.My expectation was that considering her past, Tia was the one holding the secrets. Ms. Morgan decided the reader needed better than that. I didn’t know whose secret would be exposed and whether it would be for the good or the bad of the others. As promised, Savannah Morgan created a brilliant world of danger, lust, intrigue and love in Secrets. After reading the reviews on the first book in the series, Dreams, I was excited about reading this book. She didn’t disappoint me. The relationship between these two was explosive – in and out of the bed. I sometimes skim read but it was impossible with this book. I was so engrossed that I didn’t miss a word. Ms. Morgan did an excellent job, and I thank her for a well-worth it sleepless night.Note from author: Although Secrets is a standalone book, I would highly recommend you read Dreams: A Sapphire Springs Novel, book 1, first. The Sapphire Springs series is a connected series in that the characters are reoccurring and are connected through deep familial ties and friendships.

Savannah Morgan's second Sapphire Springs novel SECRETS has just about everything you could imagine a romance novel having, military covert ops, federal agents, Italian and Russian mobs, a touch of native American religion, hot romance and lots and lots of action. Set in the fictional Montana town of Sapphire Springs, SECRETS picks up the story of the men of the high security firm BSI and focuses on Cole Lawson, a Native American former special ops agent. It's a long book by romance novel standards, with a large stock of characters and subplots to keep track of but I found the plots extremely well-thought out and quite plausible for the story. The secondary characters are numerous but Savannah Morgan has included a family tree to chart the characters' relationships, a huge help for someone who hasn't read the previous book in the series, DREAMS. I do recommend you read the first one before reading SECRETS if only to become more familiar with the world of Sapphire Springs and the Blackthorn and Lawson families. That story is referenced frequently since it is tied to this one, but Savannah Morgan does give us enough information to read without worry. I highly recommend this great story for those who want great Alpha heroes who know how to take care of their women and families.

Secrets is the follow up novel to Dreams in the Sapphires Springs series. Even though Secrets can be read as a stand alone, I recommend reading Dreams first since this is where the "secrets" begin. Tia Mitchell is a mafia princess trying to escape, lead a normal life. Cole Lawson, through his military connections, is pulled in to protect her when conflict within "the" family arises. Both living in Sapphire Springs, the attraction between Cole and Tia has been going on for a few years but never acted on. And to say Cole is not happy when he learns Tia's true identity, is an understatement. As a matter of fact, I wanted to yank a plug out of that long, black Native American hair of his. Tia had her reasons for keeping her identity to herself. Good ones. When Cole kidnaps Tia and has her under his protection in a safe, isolated location, the attraction becomes a sizzling romance. Secrets, like Dreams, is not just about action or hot sex scenes-which I for one totally enjoyed. *Whew, fanning my face* It's a great story about characters who, without your knowledge, could be your next door neighbors. How exciting would that be? I really enjoyed reading Cole and Tia's story and can't wait for the next book in this amazing series. Great job, Savannah!

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I soon realized that this must be book two. But it’s ok because the book was fantastic. Very action packed, an awesome thrill ride. I loved reading the characters and following their story. It was a great read and I highly recommend it. I just need to go read book one now. So that is my suggestion read book one which is called Dreams then read this one. You will not be disappointed. 5 ***** all the way around. And I guess the third book is coming soon so can’t wait to read that one too.

Tia has been balancing in between two worlds not really able to live in either one with all the secrets she has to keep. As her secrets begin to come to light Cole is there by her side offering a life that she has only dreamed about until now. The truth unfortunately puts her and everyone she loves in extreme danger, but now she has Cole to fight for her and with her side by side. I so loved Cole. Romantic, sexy, and over the top alpha for Tia. Hottest wedding ever on the stairs and I adore the story behind it. They are perfect for each other and I absolutely loved their story.I give Secrets 5 hearts!

Ok so I fell in love with Savannah Morgans writing style in Dreams and was further impressed with it in Secrets. This books is written in a completely different style then any other I've read. I recommend reading Dreams first to better understand some of the going ons in Secrets. One of the things I was most impressed about in this book is the language translation at the beginning, I was better able to understand some things said because of that.We met Tia in Dreams as Kylie's best friend and she was shrouded with mystery but you loved her anyway for her commitment to Kylie's family. Tia is a woman who grew up in a rather unconventional household with the mafia, it could have led to her life being so different then it was, but she persevered and just looked ahead to what she would make for herself instead of someone else. She was always trying to protect those she loved from what she felt was a terrible secret to share. When she is finally free of her past, she can finally be with Cole.Cole is a man that I want to take home with me. He is top alpha in his world, and will do anything for Tia including shielding her from his secrets. When they do finally accept each their attraction for each other everything just falls into place. The chemistry between them was sizzling hot! Ms. Morgan can write a sex scene like nobodies business!!The detail in this book is amazeballs. Every scene made me feel like I was there and I couldn't wait for more. It came as a disappointment when I realized I was not in Sapphire Springs.I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to get lost in a world shrouded with Dreams, Secrets, and so much more!!!

Ms. Morgan writes about several different places, and when you’re there, you truly feel like you’re there. She writes about this quaint town of Sapphire Springs, Montana, and you can feel the laid back, small town feel of it. She writes about this remote hideaway place in Canada, and you can feel the open wildness of it. (I REALLY wanna go to the Living Rock! Just sayin’…). She mentions the mansions in Chicago and you could just see all the richness and opulence everywhere. I had a harder time identifying with her characters, but they were definitely interesting. I thought that the touch of the different languages that these people would have used in easy every day life was a nice one too. (Now if only I could pronounce any of it!) All in all it was a decent ...(https://textuallove.wordpress.com/201...) Read the rest of the review behind the link.

Savannah Morgan's second Sapphire Springs novel SECRETS has just about everything you could imagine a romance novel having, military covert ops, federal agents, Italian and Russian mobs, a touch of native American religion, hot romance and lots and lots of action. Set in the fictional Montana town of Sapphire Springs, SECRETS picks up the story of the men of the high security firm BSI and focuses on Cole Lawson, a Native American former special ops agent and Tia Mitchel, an art gallery owner.

I still want to live in Sapphire Springs.Tiana Mitchell has secrets and Cole Lawson can't stand secrets, but when he finds out she is the daughter of the advisor to the head of the Russian Crime Family and the granddaughter of the Italian Mob he can't believe it. He knew she had secrets, but this one could get her, Kylie, and Jamie killed. Can Devin and Cole keep them safe and help Tia keep her father and grandfather safe? Can Cole convince Tia that she doesn't need to hide from him or herself any more? BTW - there is more sex in this book, but not a lot of erotic detail.

It pulled me right in until very last page. Can't wait for more!! Love all character's.With this book we get to learn more about Tia and all her secrets.Tia is one strong and smart tough headed woman ever.Cole is one badass dude. Very alpha male. He'll do anything for family and friends also for woman he loves. Sometimes I just wanted to slap him myself how much smartass he is!! Passion between Cole and Tia was off the charts.
