Contains graphic language and sex, as well as depictions of violence and sexual assault that may be disturbing to some readers.*Niall Donovan is a talented photographer. When it comes to women, he can have his pick and has. But beneath the flirtatious, joking smiles he's hiding long buried pain and traumatic memories. Memories that are breaking the surface once more. Memories that he’ll do anything to shut up. When suicide doesn’t work for him, he indulges in pills, drugs, and physical pain. They seem to help some, but they barely take the edge off.London Black has been put through the wringer. Between a car accident that nearly killed her, months of physical therapy, and finding out the boyfriend she moved to Midtown for has been cheating all along, she’s done being the sweet wholesome girl everyone thinks she is. A one night stand with the sexy photographer she meets at a club is just the thing she needs to boost her ego. It does more than that when the explicit photos of them are the main exhibit at the local art gallery. Embarrassed, angry, and now without a prospective job, she confronts him on opening night. But when he offers her a generous deal with room and board in return for more photos, she accepts. Taking naked photos with him for a large sum of cash doesn’t seem like that horrible of an option, and besides they both intend to keep things completely professional. When the shutter starts snapping, however, it’s hard for either to deny what's developing between them. Neither are in a good place and prefer those desires stay hidden in the dark, but the camera doesn’t lie. Baring it all may expose more than their bodies. But exposing their hearts may be more than Niall or London bargained for....

I just don't know how to put into words how much I loved this book. It makes you feel so much , the serious touchy issues , the taboo , the honesty , the past struggles , there is just so much of everything in here. I know it is a standalone but READ THE WHOLE SERIES. These guys are phenomenal. Their family dynamic , their story the love they share for each other. It is intense , heartbreaking and so beautiful. The woman that have become part of their family , their stories are amazing and their journeys so full of pain and suffering yet they come to be this amazing force to be reckon with. Seriously I am so in awe of this series. It is real , gritty , dirty and just so raw. The sex , the things they partake in to hide the pain and suffering. You will be sick to your stomach and then your panties will be melting off in the next scene !! This book alone , the author's note at the start , read it , let it soak in , it is on point and I appreciate the time she took for that. This book may not be for everyone. Niall's suffering is intense , his therapy ,his coping mechanisms , they bring out some strong emotions and more so if you have experienced anything like he has. Thankfully Niall has his moment to shine but he goes through hell to get there and sadly London goes along for his ride. On top of Niall's journey London has her own demons haunting her and new ones to face. There were some serious shockers in this book , the main one was plain to see but the intensity of it was not expected , WOW talk about CRAZY !! That was meant to be my opening before I got into the book but I honestly think that the above should intrigue many to read this amazing book. So instead of outlining the story much like the synopsis does I will just highlight things I loved and maybe things I didn't LOL. So yes you read the synop , it hooks you , it has to , if you read the series you were craving this book anyways so no chance to pass it up !! I hated the opening , Niall's pain tortured me , I was so hurt by his actions. I knew he had a story to tell but honestly he hid it so well , a few times he had his moments but it was so much deeper than I recognized. Then we meet London , same road , same trip , ending in despair as well. London's realization of how crappy her relationship was landed her in the arms and lens of our main man Niall. Their relationship was a rollercoaster of what ifs. Their chemistry was off the charts. London's innocence made her eagerness so much more believable and hot. The things Niall did in the midst of trying to figure out his feelings made me sick. I hate that in any book but in this book it was so much worse because he was taken advantage of by so many even though he thought he was taking advantage of them. Does that make sense ?? I had always viewed Niall as the strong dominant one , the hot bad boy photographer with a huge craving for kink and pain. This book shows you exactly just how messed up he was and living though his nightmares was heartbreaking. London grew so much as a person in this book and although she had a major moment of weakness she comes to her senses and saves her man in the knick of time , like seriously right when it could have been too late. The glimpse at them a year later , the dynamic of the whole family , that set up by Niall , OMG priceless and just so freakin swoonworthy and romantic !! Don't give up on our boy , he is waiting for his moment to shine and he will !!So now do we get some Grant or Darren ???????? PLEASE HINT HINT

Wow - this book is intense. In the questions above, I did select 'graphic' on the violence scale but, only because there is some that alludes to rape - and I know that can be a trigger for some readers. I actually didn't find the violence to be super graphic - intense at times though. There is so much to say about this book, I fear that I will forget much of what I want to get down.First of all the basics:The cover is professional and gorgeous. Editing: nearly flawless. Spoken: overall very well. Formatting: beautiful.Character development : larger than life, seriously. Now that I'm up to speed on this series I seriously miss the characters. I want to know what they're doing right now. This book packs a lot of serious issues into it and I just marvel at the level of research or personal knowledge that had to come into play here because it is all done exceedingly accurately. There are suicidal tendencies and even a fudged suicidal attempt - the emotional state of the character as it is described feels very ... legit and realistic. I could actually put myself into the situation and relate with all angles of all of those involved, it is just very well done. We witness the downward spiral, some improvement, another backwards path... it is a roller coaster ride in this regard - and a really fascinating one all the while. When Niall falls for London, there is heat and chemistry that the reader cannot help but feel a touch of. This is more than a romance - it is as if Niall has finally found that missing piece of himself and can finally move on from the demons in his past ... but habits are hard to break ... will he stop with the self loathing and self destructive behavior ? Time will tell.... You want to see someone be the hero and snap him out of it but , much like reality it is easy to see here how easy it is to lose control in any situation.. life is always more complicated than it appears to be on the surface an not everything is as easily solved as it looks. During my time spent with this book, there was definitely lost sleep - I would behave and put the book down and go to bed when I should... only to realize that I just couldn't sleep until I knew what happened next... and so on. While I do need my sleep, I have no regrets - I am only trying to adjust to life outside of Midtown now. While there is some heavy in this book, as discussed above, there is a big helping of the Howell humor I've come to love - the way she just casually works it into every day conversation which makes it even more fun. Reading these books I have a lot of laugh-out-loud moments. The drama is just juicy, the heat is turn up so high that I doubt it could even be measured - as the couple get to know each other in every way and a girl who was a good girl on the surface turns out to have a healthy dose of freak in her underneath that conservative-ish exterior. There's ultimatums and attempted murder, there's violence and there's action - You'd be hard pressed to find something missing from this book.

This book! Oh, this book! I have been waiting for Niall’s story and it was sooo worth the wait!! I loved everything about this book!!Niall is the youngest of the Irish Donovan brother’s. He was hit the hardest when their parents died. I don’t think anyone really understood how much it affected him on a daily basis. For years he self-medicated and pretended it didn’t matter. London moved from Indiana to live with her boyfriend, Jordan, after years of long distance. After catching him cheating on her, she had nowhere to go and nowhere to turn. A one night stand with a sexy boy from the bar seemed the perfect way to move on, at least for the night. That one night turned into a deal that would forever change both Niall and London’s lives. This book was sexy and kinky. “She turned her head, eyes darkened with need as she pressed her ass back against me. ‘Are you going to fuck me or now?’”There were many scenes with BDSM elements and the scene from the castle was sizzling!! It was also funny. “That’s a totally valid argument. I mean, just look at him. He’s Stabler. That’s it. Your lady-parts are toast.” It was also super emotional and full of pain and anguish. I seriously could not get enough of this book. Niall and London were perfect for each other. And that twist at the end -- holy shit!! I certainly hope we get more from this crew! ~ Tiffany, 5 stars~~~Niall is the last Donovan to get a book in this series, and it was worth the wait!Niall is a mess. After an incident with his past comes back to haunt him, he can’t sleep, takes drugs, drinks too much and pushes everyone away. To make the demons in his head be quiet, he will do anything, including the unthinkable. London is just moving to the area when she is in an accident that seems to set off a chain reaction of events that brings her fighting mad into Niall’s gallery show. The two have a love (eventually) that will stand the test of time. They seem to feed off each other’s strength and fuel the fire they both need to heal. This book is not sunshine and roses; in reality, when is life? BUT there is so much love and emotion that pours off of the pages, it hits you in the feels. There are some parts of this book that may be tough for some readers. The past Niall is haunted with causes his current self to spiral out of control. There are also some BDSM elements that are above and beyond what people “normally” would find in a book. This by no means detracts from the story, in fact it helps us to understand Niall even more. My only wish, there was more of it! ~ Devlynn, 4.5 stars

Niall's book is probably the most heart-wrenching of the Love & Ink Series. He is no longer the fun loving joker that he has been in previous novels. But maybe what they say is true, "those that laugh the loudest, hurt the most". Niall is on a downward spiral very fast. He has secluded himself from everyone and he hasn't had the passion for work that he once did. One night when Grant manages to get him out of the house and to a club, Niall notices a very sad looking woman and takes a few pictures. That's how he meets London. London is a spitfire that has been the "good girl" her entire life. Making sure never to upset her parents, and always playing the perfect daughter. Once she meets Niall, she learns to throw caution to the wind a little and have some fun. Now that London is finally coming into her own skin, she can focus on the thing she loves, music. This is an amazing story that is a giant rollercoaster, so be prepared to hang on for dear life and enjoy the ride. I know there were moments I was incredibly happy, brought to tears, and screaming at the book. But it was completely worth it. I loved this book and I know you will too. This is the third in the series and although it is a standalone, it is highly recommended that you read the previous two first.

I love all of the Donovan brothers in the Love & Ink series, but Niall's story is truly amazing! I loved the energy between Naill and London, and loved the fun and humor that was part of the story. It was a great read, and really touched on some serious subject. I can't recommend this book, and the series, enough. Seriously, get to reading some J.A. Howell! #writeJAwrite I received a free copy of this book from the author, and I love it so much I'm buying a copy too. Our indie authors need to be supported!!!
