This is the second book in the Scintillate series and I must say, this surpassed my expectation from the first book. I liked how Scintillate was written, Alex, Nick and Kate’s characters were quite good (although I thought their love triangle was quite overrated) and while I was left hanging in the end, I didn’t mind it because I knew something else’s brewing. And I was right.Kate finally learned more about her real self, her real abilities, her real powers. Together with her boyfriend Nick and with the help of her friend Alex, Kate flourished as she harnessed her powers. But when she slept and dreamt, she felt like a traitor, like someone betraying the two closest people in her life. She mostly dreamed of Alex and Nick’s history. Soon her feelings got complicated. She was torn. She felt conflicted. She no longer had control.Again, I liked how fast the story flowed and unraveled. Notwithstanding the love triangle, I think the nephilim and Asteris were a great part of the story. Kate slowly grew on me and continued to impress me, too. There’s much more exciting mysteries happening around her and I can’t help but wait and see what happens next!

I give this book 5 fangsSymbiosis is the second book in the Scintillate series. I highly recommend reading book one first as this one starts where the other left off.I enjoyed this story although a lot. The first one was good but it seemed to end just as all the secrets were discovered. In this one Kate now knows she is Asteri and is learning to use her new powers with the help of her boyfriend Nick and her friend Alex. This is where it gets complicated, while she is learning all these new tricks the nephilim are still trying to kill her and on top of everything she is having dreams about Nick and Alex's past. This is weighing her down she feels like a peeping Tom spying on their past but she's afraid to ask them about it. Little clues along the way start building a picture of why the two men are the way they are, what they have been through and how difficult it is the be an Asteri. As if all these things aren't hard enough Kate now has conflicting feelings for Alex and Nick. This is what I found frustrating, I don't want to give away to much away because a lot happens but their is a reason beyond her control that she is now having these feelings. I'm hoping to learn more and to watch Kate become an even stronger woman than she is while she figures out how to become an individual not just take what is happening as fate. Anyway I really enjoyed the book this one is a lot more action packed and the story is really picking up. Can't wait to see what else will happen. **** reviewer for paranormal romance and authors that rock

Kate is starting to learn more about her powers, the Asteri, and the Nephilim. But she is starting to dream more and more about Nick and Alex’s past. She feels like an intruder to their past and makes her see them both in a different light. Kate is having a hard time processing the dreams and tries to keep acting normal. But with the Nephilim still trying to kill her and coming into her full power things are not going to be easy for Kate.I liked Scintillate but I admit that there were a lot of things going on that are left unexplained. No need to worry, these things are explained in Symbiosis. I loved watching Kate come into her powers and going from that naïve little girl to someone that could hold her own. I also liked how much more depth to Nick and Alex. I admit that I’m not a fan of love triangles but the added background gave this a fresh twist to the normal love triangle conflicts.I recommend reading Scintillate before Symbosis. You will have more background to the story and will enjoy Symbiosis more. I’m really liking how this story is progressing and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book.If you like young adult paranormal stories, I recommend add this to your reading list.I received this book for free from Reading Addiction Virtual Book Tours in exchange for an honest review.

No. No. No. I hastily looked at this series and thought it was only 2 books. But it appears Book 3 is not out yet. Gr.This was so much better than Book 1. My hope was not in vain! It totally flipped my entire view of the series. Looking forward to Book 3! {Possibly coming out April 2016}Summary:(view spoiler)[ Not much happened in the first book besides Nick finally telling Kate she is part angel after she was attacked a few times. In Book 2 she has dreams of the guys where she is Sarah. Sarah is a part of her which is why she is so pulled to Alex. When Nick finds out about the dreams he breaks up with Kate because he knows the witch's magic worked and kept Sarah alive for Alex. Nick has long loved Hayden who he thought died during the Civil War in a Nephilim attack. At the end of Book 2 after they fight the Nephilim in the other dimension, the Griffin tells Kate and Kate tells the guys that Hayden is still alive. {High hopes the is a love triangle that ends well!} (hide spoiler)]

I was given an ARC book for an honest review free of persuasion from the author or anyone else affiliated with this book. Something changed the night of the dance. Alex believes his feelings for Kate are reciprocated. Kate is convinced she loves Nick but is drawn to Alex. Nick, Alex, and Kate are on shaky grounds as they are in a host. This means as Asteri , half human and half Angel, they are a family and are compelled to stick together.Kate is now also having nightmares and visions. In her nightmares she sees images of Alex and Nick before she met them. Plus they have discovered a Dolum, a spirit possessor that has different powers in different dimensions. It destroys some animals in several dimensions.Whew and that is just the beginning of this journey. The characters are interesting, and the book is fast paced. The characters and story keeps you on your toes. It is a very entertaining read.

Kate finally understands and is accepting who and what she is. The dreams she has been having since the night of the dance though, those are starting to get out of control and there's no one she can talk about it to. Kate has progressed allot in this one, she is no longer the naïve girl she once was but has accepted that there is bad out there and that someone has to deal with it. As she learns more and more about her powers a new threat rises and she must figure out what her place is within her new world and she must learn to balance it all with her old life and friends. In this one we see more of this amazing world the author created and finally get to learn more about the secrets other characters had in the first book. More danger and mystery keep you riveted throughout and you won't be able to put it down until the end! Can't wait to see what happens next.
