JUNE 2015: SO, I finished the book I was working on when I wasn't home so I figured, hey, why not reread a quickie today?Probably not my best decision....SO, I think the first time I read this, I gave it 4 stars....rereading this, I skimmed it, for the most parts....the only things I found interesting were when they were together. I actually didn't even finish it, because it got to a certain point and then I was like "okay, I remember how it ends and I don't care" so I picked another book.--------------MARCH 2015: I think I've read a few [yeah, only a few...] stepbrother books over the past few months.....IDK why...but I just find them to be so....fun to read (ew in real life...seriously) but yeah... damn. they don't even know they are steps until about halfway through. I think that's what sets this one apart from the others......and the fact that they don't hate each other as they tended to in the previous books I've read.Ava was okay, you know...I actually hardly ever like the main female character, I'm always in it for the boys :D mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Cole was a sweetheart, he isn't the usual cocky, arrogant SOB. So, I liked him, of course, haha. The SEX was freaking amazing, oh dear lord. some of those scenes at Sanctuary are crazy.I liked this one but I guess if I really had to think about it...there's a lack of...IDK how to explain it....like....there's really no detail to their every day lives....Ava has a friend at the beginning of the book. ..but you never hear about her coming into the story again, or even mentioned......Cole doesn't have any friends that you meet....you never really get a look at a full day in their lives...it kind of just jumps around so it's pretty much about their moments together...which is fine. I didn't mind too much but...it was lacking....something...enough of something for me to notice.

I so didn't expect to like this book so much!!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it.Ava and Cole are step-siblings. They grew up together and they had a very strong bond. When Ava reached puberty, things started to change. Her growing fascination for her stepbrother forced them apart. Cole disappeared from her life but she was still thinking about him. When she is twenty two years old, her friend Julie talks her into visiting a private club. What Ava doesn't know is that Sanctuary is an expensive BDSM club. Totally out of her depth, she tries a scene with the very handsome Master Royce. Fear drives her away but not for long. Her senses and body are awakened under the Dom's touch and so she returns for more. Their real faces and identities are kept a secret but that doesn't become a problem. As her relationship with Master Royce grows so do her feelings for him. Lines start to blurr and all for a faceless man with intricate tattoos and a firm hand. When a reunion with her stepbrother occurs, she is shocked to find out that not everything is what it seems.I loved the story and the characters. The chemistry was spot on and the emotions well developed. A total page turner and a highly entertaining read about the taboo subject of forbidden love between step-siblings.I will read more from this author.5 Stars from me!

Stepbother Cole does work as a dom but not because he is one or likes doing it, but because he has a huge gambling debt to pay off. He starts working as a bartender at a BDSM club but is pushed into being a level 1 dom by his boss. He acts like he has no choice, but doesn't really push back. Ava, his stepsister, ends up at the BDSM club when her friend decides to go there. Ava has no interest yet feels compelled to do something while waiting for her friend. Instead of waiting at the bar, she signs up for a session. She's so scared, she's shaking and forbids just about everything on the list. The owner gives her a mask to help her feel comfortable. Cole has a half gladiator mask. They end up paired together. Each don't realize who the other is.Ava goes back because she can't get him out of her mind and they actually have sex, a little brutally plus it's her first time, again Cole showing he's not a dom because he doesn't have control. Then Cole quits that night because he's earned enough to pay off the loan shark and Ava is bereft. Then he comes home for Christmas and she realizes who the dom was. There's a side plot with Ava's father trying to break them up which seems to come out of the blue since he's not mentioned being controlling or bad to Cole as a kid prior to this. An earlier set up of this would have been better. The big break up because of what Ava's father threatens to do to Cole would have been resolved if Cole had just told his mother and Ava instead of skulking off. I do realize that he's only 25, but he does seem sort of passive both with Ava's dad and at the club. This is not a BDSM story, the characters are not really into it and the sex is all mainstream. Cole is not a dom (and isn't secretly a dom wanna be). Ava doesn't appear to be a submissive, she just loves Cole even when she doesn't know it's him, she still feels the connection. So, if you buy this story expecting to get lots of hot, kinky BDSM sex, you will be disappointed. I didn't dislike the story itself, it was a nice change that Cole wasn't an insta dom, perfect at all things, so I give it an ok rating.

FANTASTIC CAPTIVATING READ!!!!I loved this book. Couldn't put it down. I'm not sure if Cole and Ava would have ever gotten together if it hadn't been for Ava going to the sex club. Wearing a mask lead to both of them letting down their guard and for Ava to explore her sexuality. I was on pins and needles with my stomach in my throat when they were on vacation with their parents. I just knew they were going to get caught!!!! I loved Cole's mother, but not so much her father. He was a complete ass. Some people might have a problem with stepbrothers and stepsisters falling in love, but if they're not blood related and over 21, what's the big deal? Love how things came together and thanks for the epilogue. Get this book and READ it. You'll love it. I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review. Patsy Sacco

I hate to be unkind but this book has left me feeling mostly disappointed. When a title includes the word "Dom", I kind of expected some hot BDSM loving, unfortunately for me that was not the case. The Stepbrother Dom in question, needed an extra job to pay off a debt. At first he works behind the bar in a sex club, but with the temptation of extra cash he's soon forced into the role of beginner Dom, even though he has no interest in the scene.I was fine with this at the start, as I thought it may be some part of a character development with him soon embracing his sudden need for pain, pleasure and control but that never happened. He wasn't a Dom and he had no interesting in being one which left me with just the usual, but not so good Stepbrother book. I know some of the fault lies with me for having expectations that this would be a BDSM book, but the title does kind of have you believing that's where its gonna go.Although it wasn't what I expected, it was entertaining in the beginning, but as soon as he stopped being the so called Dom, it quickly declined. I'm not going to go into to much detail, but these are some of the things that bugged me.1) I'm not convinced the characters wouldn't know that they were having sex with there step sibling, even with the masks.2) When the heroine discovers she's had sex with her Stepbrother, she goes all childish and blames him. When someone pays and begs for it, I think most the blame lays with them.3)The way the dad tries to keep them apart came from nowhere and was totally over the top!!! The man needs medicating.4)I got a little board at times.I think this was a good idea for something different in Stepbrother romances but for me it never quite worked, if you enjoy these books no matter what, you'll probably like so just ignore me and my negative thoughts.

I'm an awful brother".

Ok, I know that there are a LOT of Stepbrother romances out there but this one was very different from the ones I have previously read. Cole and Ava have lived together for years before he moved out, so there was defiantly a time that they grew up together and although his mother treated her like a daughter, Ava's father never liked Cole and made things hard for him. Ava and her friend are out at a bar and then they decide to go elsewhere, Ava thinks they are going to a see a grunge band but they are really heading to a Kink Club. I'll leave it at that and not spoil the surprise ;)I really enjoyed this read and since it was the first book by Arabella Quinn I look forward to reading more of her books.

I've read a couple stepbrother romance books over the past couple of months and this one was just ok. The title is a little misleading because Cole may be working at a sex club but definitely isn't a Dom. He exhibited some controlling behavior in the bedroom towards Ava/April but their encounters were pretty tamed in comparison to what I've read in other BDSM books. I will say that I enjoyed the chemistry between the two and loved the storyline.

5 Sexy-Dom-Stars! ☆☆☆☆☆ I loved this book, and i was actually surprised how much...A Lot! First things first, the cover is hot! I loved Ava's character, sweet and wholesome, but stubborn as hell. ;) And Cole Hunter, or as Ava first met him in the club, Master Royce was simply delicious! I actually liked that he didnt have a clue or any interest in being a dom until his boss forced him to. I guess that happens when you work in a BDSM club. :) The plot was great! Never got boring and most importantly, no filler. All the secondary characters were just as important to the story. Frank, Ava's dad turns out to be a main problem-causer in their relationship. While Cole's mom, Marissa was a saint in sheep's clothing, helping them mend their broken relationship.Once i started reading this book, i was hooked. The story just kept getting better and hotter! :) i actually growled at my boyfriend when he had me stop reading.Highly recommended :)

This is just one of those books you just wish was better than it was. Certain parts of the story were really good. A stepbrother and stepsister, who had actually lived for several years as brother and sister when their parents married, found themselves attracted to each other as they grew older but fought the feelings. Unfortunately, many parts of the story were just silly. The Dom Stepbrother wasn't really a Dom at all, just worked at a local sex club to try and earn enough money to pay off a gambling debt and took on all the newbie, less than serious clients, so that the regular Doms at the club could concentrate on real Dom/Sub relationships. His naïve stepsister went to the club one night with friends and got assigned to her stepbrother (both wearing masks so they didn't recognize each other -- YEAH, RIGHT!).As I said, I really wanted to like this book a lot more than I did. As it was, I still read it in one sitting and have to admit I wanted to see that HEA.

The Bad, the Even Worse and Everything in Between-Strike two on the stepsibling craze. It seems like that's all there is everywhere I look, so I figured I'd try it again. The blurb is the best thing about this.-The BDSM angle was pointless and strictly for show. He's not a Dom, he's a good looking college kid who's playing at dom to make money. But even if he "had" to play at BDSM, that was done on the shallowest of levels.-Not even sexy to make up for the lack of story: Honestly, I was bored. -I'm not quite sure why they cared about each other except they grew up together. -For a forbidden romance, there was precious little that goes on. When it's finally discovered, the reaction seemed false and over the top. And it's resolved by Cole's mom, which just screams manly when your mommy fixes everything. The Bottom Line*shakes head* don't do it.

Erotica is one of my favorite genres and this is my second jump on sexy step sibling story. This is my first Arabella Quinn read and I'm so glad I saw this while looking on goodreads for a steamy read. I was sucked into the story from the very beginning! The characters were enjoyable to read, and there's this unexpected revelation about Ava's father and Cole's mom.The sexy scenes were just so damn HOT and DELICIOUS! This is not an all-sex read, it has a sexy interesting plot with a bit of family drama. The reason why it does not get 5 stars is that I wish the author explored more on Ava's father after the blackmail stuff and I'm curious what happened with Ava's best friend who just vanished in the story after they went to the Sanctuary. A highly recommended read!

This book was definitely five stars in my opinion!Im certain that every girl whose parents got divorced and remarried, had the stepbrother fantasy, I definitely did, and its not weird, you are not really related , sue me ! HahahThat being said, this book, was hot, and extremely interesting, he wanted her but was afraid she would be repulsed, and so did she, but he got over it fast.April and master royce's scenes at the sanctuary are just perfection!

The chemistry and sex scenes were beyond amazing in this book but then the ending almost destroyed everything. It was overly dramatic and seemed stuffed in there to cause unnecessary drama between the "siblings". It could have easily just been the father finding them and keeping them apart without the blackmail aspect of the situation. Thankfully it didn't completely ruin this reading experience for me.

" My Stepbrother:The Dom" , this book has been taunting me for at least a week, ever time I went on my Amazon account there it was on my suggested reading page. In all honesty ,I try very hard not to be a one click impulse buyer, I suppose there are worse habits I could have, shoes or clothes ;at least e-books take up less closet space. So yes , I clicked! You can't blame me, really, I mean look at the cover art, it lured me in . I love a great cover. Then the book blurb caught my attention , before I knew it, I was devouring this book . I loved the twist and turns in this book, twenty two year old Ava is tricked into going to a BDSM club in the city "Sanctuary" by her BFF, after being grilled about her hot step brother Cole by Julie . Cole is a topic she does not want to discuss , you shouldn't be sexually attracted to your stepbrother. Ava is out if her element and nervous . However before she knows it , she is signing up for a level one beginners package and waiting with a mask on In a room on her knees . The hot intimidating tattoed Gladiator that walks in floors her , she wants to keep looking at him . as Master Royce starts talking to her and making demands Ava's nerves get the better of her. Master Royce has to go from a Dom asking her to take her clothes off to full out aftercare in five minutes when he recognizes she is near fainting from nerves ; an hour or so later Master Royce is sending her on her way figuring he will never see her again, and why that bothers him. He is not sure why . Hell, Cole is only playing at being a Dom as far as he is concerned , he needs the extra cash to pay off some debts.Ava makes Julie leave right away her embarrassment almost too much to handle ,however over the next few weeks her curiosity and attraction to Master Royce wins out Julie finds herself going back to Sanctuary several more times just to see Master Royce , she trusts him, is extremely attracted to him and thinks she may love him. What Ava was considering to be one of the best nights with Master Royce turns into a debacle and only gets worse when she goes looking for him and he is gone .Weeks later , Cole is home for the Christmas holidays and Ava accidentally walking in on her shirtless stepbrother sends her world a tilt as the realization that the tattooes on Cole are exactly the same as Master Royce's, floor meet face! The realization on both parts leads to awkward holidays , an awkward family vacation for Ava , since Cole wants t take a chance on the mutual feelings and pursues Ava, unfortunately getting caught by Ava's father was not In the plans and just leads to more complications ! I have already said to much but this was such a great read, so happy I one clicked! Pick ths one up ; It had a few laughs, some hot sex scenes and some drama!

This is a fun, enjoyable, fast read. I still don't understand the taboo about falling for someone who is NOT blood related to you??? hahahahaha. The connection between Cole and Ava was everything to her growing up. So when he disappeared from her life, she struggled to move on. Later in the story, we learn why Cole had disappeared and stayed away. And that he was just as attracted to Ava as she was to him. (And it's not just physically either). So when she is dragged to a kinky club by her best friend, it's more than surprising she meets someone who turns her on as much as her step-brother....hmmmm....and you can guess who the sexy Master Royce is?!?! So the adventure begins and once the secret is out....Oh My Lordy....do the sparks fly. ;) I don't want to say to much more but other secrets will come out that will make you want to smack Ava's father...possibly kill him!! (hahahaha). You will have to read the story to find out more, but I don't think you will be disappointed!! Thank you Ms. Quinn for a great read!! ;)

This book was such an awesome read! It was funny, interesting, sexy and a bit emotional! Ava is a over age virgin and has been in love with her step brother since she was a teen! One night changes her life forever when she visits a sex club! Cole is working as much as he can as a bartender at a sex club until the owner has him train and become a level 1 Dom! Twist turns and a lot of sexiness later both Ava and Coles lives are changed forever but can they make it through the issues that arise in more ways then one!A great read that is written in a different way than I thought! It was an adventure and a peek into Ava's life that I couldn't stop reading!

It was good, had its funny spots that had me laughing out loud. But it also had parts where I was asking 'why' cause it was like the two (Cole and Ava) were harping on things that didn't really matter. Although it was quite funny when they realized what had happened in the beginning. Overall its a good read and kept my interest.Till next time - Sweets Books

DNF for me. I tried. It first was an issue that he felt bad with how he treated her as a Dom. Honestly, it felt like I was reading an abuse book with his emotions. Then, suddenly they are calling each other brother and sister as though they are blood related, and he still feels like crap. Just too many triggers for me to not feel icky.

What puts me off a book like this is that the characters grew up together, that makes it a bit unrealistic and uncomfortable. They should have seen each other as real brother and sister. The fact that BDSM is used as a tool or subplot to sell this book does not work.more to follow.........

I hate to admit that I even started this book let alone finished it. I am the type of reader who doesn't generally stop reading a book even a bad book. But this was terrible and started to read it to see if it would make me laugh which it did but I had to give up it was just terrible. One of the challenges on the 26 challenges was to finish I book you didn't finish and this terrible book was it. BTW didn't get any better.
